Sofitel Philadelphia - فيلادلفي

Don't get me wrong. This is a fine hotel and in general lived up to its reputation. But the details make a difference and in a few cases fell short. The desk and armchairs were scratched and worn and ready for retirement. The latch on the shower stall was broken. There were a few traces of mildew in the shower stall. The lodgenet tv service is cumbersome to use and there is an annoying lag in the remote control. it speaks to the overall quality of the facility and the service, however, that i would not hesitate to stay here or at any sofitel again.

I had a relaxing stay at Sofitel. The staff was responsive, friendly, and attentive. Location was great because it was close to restaurants, shops, and night spots. Will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I stayed the weekend in a Junior Suite - great room, very quiet, great location in the heart of Philly - we would stay again!

The Sofitel has been, by a wide margin, my favorite hotel in Philadelphia. I have stayed there quite a few times over the past year. This last visit was very disappointing. Upon checking in I noticed that this was the smallest room I have received at the hotel. Not a big problem until I noticed the mold on the wall under the air conditioning unit and phoned the front desk. The clerk seemed quite confused, refused ti switch my room but sent someone up with a bottle of Tilex to do mold remediation in the room late at night. The room smelled likely moldy bleach all night. Very pleasant. Also, there was garbage from the past guest(s) on the floor of the room, the ironing board was broken and would not stay standing etc. Sadly, this is well below the standards set by my prior visits to the Sofitel. I will give it another chance based on past experiences; however, if this was my first stay at the hotel I would never return.

This hotel was in a perfect location. Walked to Art Museum, shopping and to dinner. Many restaurants to choose from. Staff was very pleasant. Room was clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast croissants were fantastic. Recommended.

I stayed there for one night with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is gorgeous and the staff always wanted to help. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Couldn't beat the quality and convenience of this place.

Had nice king suite at great price through Hotels.com. concierge staff very friendly and knowledgable of local restaurants. nice walk to museums. This is second time we have stayed.

We were very impressed with the hotel and we have been in quite a few in the City. The reception area and the service in the lobby bar (the waitress was Ellen I believe) were exceptionally friendly and accommodating!

i had a wonderful experience at the Sofitel! The staff was wonderful, bed so compfy, and the shower awesome! would come back and stay again!!! carpet alittle dirty but I didn't mind

Spent 1 night this past weekend. Had high hopes. Staff was very friendly but didn't make up for the deteriorated conditions in the room. The bed was very comfortable, but the furniture had seen better days, the curtains were hanging akilter, the promised mini-bar was missing, the ice machine on my floor was out of order, and to top it off, no hot water for my shower in the morning. I don't plan to visit this hotel again.

The location was perfect as my girlfriend and I were walking distance to the Philadelphia nightlife. I liked the hotel and it's presentation. I would definitely come back in the future.

Hits every mark on the checklist

t v kept loosing signal requiring sa call to frnt desk. did no like new arrangement of after hours bar @ LIBERTE,staff boarded on rude

Though we had a good deal through hotels.com for this hotel, and it is lovely, the overly high price of parking, along with the expensive cocktails, coffees, and desserts would cause us not to return.

GREAT location! Affordable for the level of luxury too if you get in at right time.

The service at this hotel was excellent. The quality of the hotel can improve. Room was not as clean as I would have expected. Bed was not comfortable. Perfect location, but I will stay someplace else next time.

My boyfriend and I stay at the Sofitel whenever we want a weekend away. Customer service is great--everyone is always greeting you in the most genuine way. The rooms are very comfortable--we are a fan of the Bose radio/speakers. Location is great. It's around all the great restaurants, bars and stores. And if you don't want to go out, hotel bar/restaurant is a great place to spend time with friends. Sofitel is highly recommended.

My wife and I had a get away in Philadelphia and we enjoyed our stay at Softitel. The hotel was convenient to everything we wanted to do, restaurants, theater, etc. so we didn't have to get a cab. We walked everywhere. The only disappointing thing, which I can't blame the hotel, was the noise and rough housing that young adults were making/doing at 2:00 am to 3:30 am in our hallway. It was disturbing.

My husband and I stayed at the Sofitel in Philly and really enjoyed our stay. The room was nice, clean - the bar great. The only negative was the $40 parking.

Great hotel took my wife for a suprise weekend stay over. Was not sure what to expect, but was very satisfied, Very nice lounge on the first floor with great seating. If you come to Phila. I would stay here.

My husband was in the hospital and I needed a peaceful place to stay. I could not have picked a better hotel! Staff is so sweet, everyone from the door to reception, to the room. THank you.

My wife and I stayed a couple of days with our dog Molly. Spacious room and bath. Excellent staff whose politeness was extended not only to us but Molly as well. Great location.

for a hotel that puts on 'airs' the cheapness regarding internet access (not available to customers without an ADDITIONAL charge) parking (not available to customers without an ADDITIONAL charge) is stingy mean to the extreme. it's not like we are paying for a cheep overnight stay! for these reasons next time i'll be staying at the hotel across the street.

This was a really lovely hotel stay. The property is beautiful, the staff helpful, the location perfect. Even the restaurant was terrific. Sofitel would be my first choice on my next Philly visit.

All was great UNTIL their fire alarm went off at 3AM and we all had to wait outside in the freezing cold for a false alarm. If we weren't heading to a funeral I would have been scorning management amd asking for a partial refund or even just a credit to use in the future. You know what would have been nice? A simple apology for the inconvenience..

Pros: Convenient location, courteous staff, clean, safe, fire alarm works well (3 am), fair price. Cons: noise - thin walls, slamming room doors. Pretty common in most hotels.
