Enjoyed the stay, staff were very friendly and the kids loved the chocolates on arrival.

This place although in a good location really does not live up to the Swissotel name. Our room had bubbly carpet and it really was quite old in style. The hotel staff were decent but not overly accommodating. The hotel also has a funky double elevator situation from the street mini lobby to the main lobby which is just annoying.

Every thing was excent and I made contact with the manager and advised her so.

From the moment we walked in greeted with friendly staff our girls weekend stay was great. The bed was comfy and the location so handy. The only downfall was a leaking toilet and the bar was closed at 1145 when we asked for a coffee.. Overall very happy.

All the staff are absolutely wonderful, so very polite, friendly and welcoming. Their professionalism was second to none, no task too small. Rooms were very lovely, so spacious and clean. Bathroom was beautiful. The beds were extremely comfy! The only issue was the breakfast buffet, very disappointing. The area with the food is too small and over crowded very easily, the buffet was not topped up enough and was essentially empty for the duration of our breakfast. To order eggs was an ordeal on its own, even if you did manage to eventually get what you asked for. The kitchen staff were unable to supply the demand and were quite often flustered with too many orders or tasks. Overall I enjoyed my stay and would indeed stay again and would recommend staying to others, but advise strongly against the hotel breakfast service.

Good hotel. Staff keen to please. Nice room and all very clean. Two points worth mentioning, but not desperately important. Unless you attended breakfast early the availability of all foods was slow. Breakfast restaurant appeared overwhelmed., and secondly, in keeping with most large hotels, check your bill carefully to ensure extra's listed and charged were accurate. However I would definitely stay at this hotel again

Overall it was a lovely hotel. staff were friendly. Disappointed that bathrobes were not offered. The cleaners also forgot to service our room one of the mornings.

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. I have been to Sydney a few times and I can't imagine a much more convenient location if you are looking for a good central locale and the best shopping venue. The quality of the hotel overall was 5 star. I would not pay for any more and would not settle for less. Clean, quality and reasonably priced. Certainly there are 5 star hotels in Sydney for those who want the very best, however for the average traveler this is going to do the trick.

The staff were personalising my stay. You couldn't ask for a better experience when you haven't been on the dating circuit for more than 5 years. Chris who managed my stay was so warm, welcoming and attentive - and Xavier in the restaurant was great at ordering for us. I even remembered their names, they had that impact. Thank you for a wonderful memory.

The Swissotel staff could not have been more friendly or accommodating. Room was pleasant and the location very convenient and an Circular Quay was close and easily accessible by public transportation.

The hotel is perfectly located near the major shopping places - QVB, Pitt Street Mall, Strand Arcade, Westfield Plaza, Myer, etc; also a short monorail ride (or walk) to Darling Plaza; a 7-8 minute taxi ride to the Opera House; and a 10 minute walk to the NSW Art Gallery. The room was very good in all respects and we took the deal that included access to the Lounge for very good breakfast, occasional coffees or cold drinks and excellent early evening snacks. Staff were all welcoming and helpful. We would stay here again!

Our small family used this hotel for a three day visit to see the sights of Sydney. We did not eat in the hotel so I can offer no comment on its food. Its location however does lend it to being within walking distance, about 10 minutes maximum, from dozens of delightful restaurants at Circular Quay and Darling Harbour. The famous Pitt Street shopping malls are literally 30 seconds away from the front door of the hotel. Our family room was spacious and spotlessly clean. All of the staff we met and spoke to were polite and helpful. We were aware of Sydney’s reputation of being a very expensive city but we found this hotel to be value for money and we would have no hesitation in visiting this one again and recommending friends and family to give it a try.

This hotel is in a great location. 5 min walk to darling harbour and 15 min walk to circular quay ,Sydney bridge etc. rooms great and spacious . However they wanted to charge 25 dollars each time we used wifi and 35 dollars for breakfast. Give me a break . We ate our breakfast out in fab and most places have free wifi. Helen

excellant hotel and staff...

thankyou swissotel for making our stay a wonderful experience. we have a three year old and a seven month old and sometimes staying in hotels with young kids is difficult and sometimes feel like we are imposing because because of this. definitely not the case at swissotel. from the moment we stepped into the hotel we were made to feel welcome and at home. nothing was a problem, in fact the staff went out of there way to make sure the kids were comfortable and happy. my wife travelled to brisbane for one of the nights so it was daddy and two kids overnight without mum. well i didnt think it possible but the staff and facilities made my night relaxing and enjoyable. the kitchen even orginised some melted cheese on toast for my three year old son to be delivered to the room for breakfast, even though it not on the menu and in the busy breakfast hour. this is just one example of many of how the staff went way above and beyond to make sure we were happy.this along with the location, the food, the bar and concierge ticks all the boxes for excellence. i would thouroughly reccomend this hotel to anyone wanting a memorable experience for all the right reasons. thankyou swissotel, we will definitely be back.

A nice couple of nights at the hotel. Room was a bit small in considering the price of the room but you can't go wrong with the location. Only negative thing was that we booked for 3 adults but only two bath towels were given.

Coffee and tea supplied in our room are the standard of a one star country motel. Offered morning newspaper delivered to room, but it never arrived. Had dinner in restaurant the first night of our 2 night stay and the service was non-existent. Had to ask for our wine after ordering, and when after a very long wait the food eventually arrived the quality was very good.

Location is excellant practically in the heart of the city near Pitt Street Mall and Westfeild, so great if your planning a shopping trip. A bit of a walk to the Opera House and The Rocks but still within walking distance. Service was fantastic and staff were super friendly. We stayed in Sydney for my birthday and were offered a late check out and also recieved a bottle of wine which were nice touches. The rooms were comfortable and so was the bed most importantly. Overall had a great stay and would recommend to friends.

Very Good

Out of all the hotels I stayed in throughout Australia this one left me feeling the best. The hotel offers exceptional service with a smile and attentiveness to your needs - it's really nice to get that level of service when you are on vacation; the location is superb and interesting (although no convenient parking if you have a car or local visitors driving to see you); the room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable with big windows and a pretty view; the hotel bar was nice to spend some time in also. If you book this hotel you wont be disappointed.

Great stay, lovely clean room, great service from staff and in-dining menus are delicious. $7.50 grab and go breakfast a great idea. Did not get my complementary morning paper and car parking charges were confusing. Otherwise will stay there again.

This is a 5 star hotel in all ways. The only issues are that the parking station is several blocks away from the hotel and more staff were needed on at reception and concierge in the busy times, such as the middle of the day, to avoid lengthy waits. However they were friendly, polite and more than helpful. The rooms are excellent, spacious and well appointed. The hotel is right in the middle of the city next to Pitt Street Mall and Sydney Tower, opposite the State Theatre and the wonderful new bar in QT, easy walking to QVB, Darling Harbour, Hyde Park. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Fantastic weekend. Kids loved it. We have already booked again in December for a wedding. One thing I thought was a bit rich -charging $5 for room service delivery? Never had that before in a 5 star hotel. I have recommended the Swissotel to a few family/friends already.

The hotel staff at check in were great (Chris). Our stay was short and didn't fully experience what the hotel had to offer, however we would choose to stay there again. The only downside would be that the parking is a few blocks away,

We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff went out of their way to be friendly and attentive and the Swiss attention to detail was very noticeable. The hotel is right in the middle of the shopping distict on Market Street and there was such a great vibe in the area, it felt very European. The small downstairs concierge area can get hectic with porters organising bags and people coming and going in taxis, but for us that added to the experience of staying in the middle of a bustling city. The only downside was the view from our room on the 12th floor, it just looked out over flat roof tops, not very inspiring. We were offered a better room on the 17th floor but we would have had to wait two hours until the 2pm check-in time and so we decided to take the 12th floor room as we weren't going to be in the room much anyway and we were tired from our flight. The breakfast buffet is superb, and the dinner a la carte menu is absolutely delicious. My kids declared the mashed potato side-dish to be the best mashed potato they had ever eaten, and I agreed with them! The pork-belly and the organic chicken were also to die for. We even had a charmingly snooty French waiter to make the European experience complete!

The Swissotel was a beautiful hotel. The bathroom had a seperate shower and bathtub in the large bathroom. Beds were only doubles, but were comfy. A variety of pillows were available. The TV only had what seemed to be basic cable - would have been nice to have a channel for our little kids. I guess at business hotels maybe it's not a priority. $24.99 per 24 hours for internet was too rich for us - in Canada we're used to complimentary wi-fi, but we do understand that in Australia it's not the norm. No free airport shuttle either, but taxi was only about $40. The service was excellent, including the Swiss Service, bellmen, and front desk. Front desk attendant even remained calm when we were a bit upset about the internet charges. Overall, a beautiful hotel, if a bit steep in price for what we're used to in Canada, and an excellent location. Walked to Circular Quay with our kids (age 3 and 5) in about 15-20 minutes and no problem. Lots of restaurants and shopping right around the hotel.

The Swissotel in Sydney is nicely located but does not pay enough attention to the details, e.g. tea during breakfast was served with tap water which does not taste at all, rooms were not equipped with bath robes, the outdoor pool was far too cold even during summer time, the concierge made an appointment for the hotel restaurant for us even though the restaurant was closed, our daughter threw up during nighttime and the porter was hesitating to help us cleaning the room afterwards, etc.. Overall, the hotel is overpriced and we will think twice before returning back when we are in Sydney again.

From the moment we arrived we were given excellent customer service by Ashuton at reception we had booked a room online and we were very fortunate to be given an upgrade and a special discount on our breakfast which was delicious... Highly loved the fresh juice maker and the natural honeycomb. The view was fantastic and the room was very comfortable, including a great pressure shower. The two days of stay in Sydney the weather was glorious so we made use on the roof top pool the temperature was perfect, enjoyed it immensely.... Thank-u for the awesome stay we shall return....great location.+++++

Did not live up to its 5 star billing. From a very casual evening checkin, to a room crowded with inappropriate furniture, a shower cabinet that leaked all over the bathroom floor, lots of wet towels, and a safe that self locked with our things in it, we did not particularly enjoy our hotel experience. Location wise, however, it was fantastic and we were able to explore the CBD and surrounds and had access to great cafes, coffee shops and restaurants.

Didn't leave with a great feeling of Satisfaction. Arrived into our rooms to find someone elses bags in our room and our bags out of sight. Blind was broken but fixed promptly. Safe was locked accidentally by toddler which was to be fixed that evening but staff was a no show until the next day. When rang reception to retreive our vehicle via valet, they were unable to tell us how long it would be, noting that it was boxing day. In the end we ended up waiting in the lobby for 1hr before our car was delivered.

Very efficient and maned service provided by the hotel staff, polite and eager to help and explain where to go for attractions. Clean and very comfort room, well layer out. Breakfast dinning area light clean and comfortable with a very good selection of breakfast food options for everyone.

We were recommended by friends and the hotel surpassed our expectations for comfort, cleanliness and service.

We had fun. Really big nice bathroom. The room was quite small and there wasn't much of a view.

You will be welcomed and pampered by highly professional staff. From the Concierge and valet parking, to reception, restaurant, your every need is catered for with out even having to ask. You will be spoilt by the care and attention you will receive for the duration of your stay. You will definitely feel "Special".

Have stayed here many times and it's always the same - very good. Well- positioned in the city above Myers/Pitt Street Mall. Pleasant, obliging staff, very clean rooms/public areas, and the lounge area and dining options have been renovated and are really lovely. I would most definitely recommend it.

Have stayed @ Swiss hotels before this does not make the grade. Concierge desk was not helpful with incorrect info, baggage handlers could not understand directions, reservations was a disaster. Room was clean but small, parking for $55. Per night was over the top.

Great Location, Great Hotel, friendly staff. Only issue was it took 3 phone calls to get an extra towel and pillow. Very up market Hotel.

I always prefer staying at swissotel when staying in Sydney. U can't beat the location Pitt st mall is right outside the doors, Queen Victoria building & top shop just across the road. Central train station within close proximity so if wanting to head to bondi or other places its not far to walk. As for the hotel the staff are very friendly & helpful..the room size is great definitely not a shoebox unlike some other hotels I've stayed at in Sydney..so overall I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone it always makes my stay in Sydney better..5 stars!
