My non-smoking room smelled like an ashtray, so I asked to be placed in another room. There was a non-smoking room open the next day. I debated going elsewhere but decided to tough it out. Male traveling solo. I bought diffuser reeds at Walgreens to make my room smell like a vanilla ashtray that night. The FREE breakfast was OK for this solo male. I thought, "My wife and kids would hate this." For me, not that bad. Eggs, sausage/bacon, pastries, tiny pancakes, cereal, coffee machine. The eating area is small, crowded and dirty. I went for a jog. Safe neighborhood. My wife would've hated it just because it's just a suburb. Who travels 800 miles to go someplace just like home? All kinds of stores nearby. Starbucks was not far. I wanted to spend time in the City so I drove about 5 minutes and parked my car at Dempster/Skokie, the end of the Yellow Line. $3 to park all day. I paid $20 for a 3-day CTA unlimited pass ($10 for 1 day). Go 2 stops and take the Red Line into the City. Might've been 45 minutes to an hour but I wasn't keeping track. The room was smelly and small but clean. They did an ozone treatment to remove the smoke smell (I kept my room because the 'hold' on my other room vanished) and it worked a little. More vanilla. Less ashtray. The bed was comfortable. No weirdos seen on my 3-night stay. I was looking to spend less money and I did. Do not pay $69 and expect a $120 room. You will be disappointed.

Great value for area. Great staff, went out of their way to find us local information and attractions. Will stay here again, if in the area.

I did not expect a descent room at the rate I got but the room was nice and clean. The front desk personal was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again

I had booked this hotel especially for the use of the Jacuzzi, which happened to be the one thing that did not work in the room. All other Jacuzzi rooms were full so we could not even move to another. Rather than giving us a complimentary night, the hotel just offered a refund, which isn't what I wanted.

Very very mediocre overall. Horribly maintained rooms. Poor service staff. If you don't smoke, make sure you ask for a non-smoking before booking. And confirm after booking as you might end up in a very bad room. Good suburban location to Chicago but poorly developed hotel.

ok for a night , reasonably priced, carpet looked a little rough but was clean, have a good breakfast , better than most hotels.

It was near Lutheran General Hospital where my wife was in surgery. Very convenient. Would certainly use the hotel again.

They have spiffed up the rooms since the last time we stayed here about 2 years ago. The continental breakfast was better too. We were pleased with the cleanliness of the rooms and the breakfast area, and we felt the staff is working hard to make the hotel very nice.

Water pressure was low and lack of hot water

We were satisfied and will use the motel again. My wife was a t Lutheran General Hospital and it was convenient.

The exterior of the hotel was a little disconcerting but the interior of the room was really inpressive for the price.

Room in ill repair. Broken door, other things that just need updating or fixing.

It was adequate for what I needed for the day.

Very nice, older motel type place. Would stay again. Had family vacation there and was easy access to train and 3 miles from L train.hotel staff is good and do a good job of working with what they have seeing as how this is an older place.

Poor TV reception. Good location quiet and clean. Good value.

I would give this hotel a higher rating except for the fact that there was a strong unpleasant odor quite noticeable as soon as we entered the room. It was like old musty furniture. This room surely needs new carpeting and drapes to get the strong smell out.

We got a room with a king bed & whirlpool at an affordable price. The room was recently remodeled to have current styles & color schemes. However, the paint job was sloppy. The bathroom door (which didn't have a lock on it) also didn't close tightly. The door also had a big chunk out of the top edge. The room had a "pool smell" to it because of the whirlpool & no ventilation. There was not enough space for all the stuff they put in the room. There was a chair in the corner, which meant you couldn't open the door fully w/o moving the chair to a different place in the room. The fridge was blocking half the area of the space in front of the sink. The ONE outlet contained the plug for the fridge and hairdryer. If you wanted to plug in the coffee maker, or your own personal items, you had to unplug something. About 1/2 of the TV channels were fuzzy, but not bad. While I don’t have trouble sleeping with noises, we did notice that you could hear people snoring in the next room before we fell asleep. Finally, the heating/cooling unit didn't work quite right. You could get only the a/c to go on if you pushed a/c after the heat button. If the unit cooled it to the temp you set, you had to re-push the heat before you could get cool to work again. This seems like a lot of complaining, but really, it was almost all superficial...nothing that really affected the quality of the room (of course if it had been 90F, it would have been a HOT night). The bed was comfortable & we slept well.

This place wasn't too bad considering the price paid. The bed was comfortable, it had a fridge and microwave, and the breakfast was included each morning. The unpleasant part was the TV was old and it got a terrible picture, the parking was cramped, and I found left over seeds and berries on the floor. Considering I just stayed at a Syberis for three times the amount and got a smaller TV and bed, this Best Western isn't that bad.

Thought it was a hotel, but felt more like a motel. Too close to main road, so it was very noisy. Would have preferred room on back of hotel. No fan available to drown out noise. Real cream would have been nice for coffee. The staff were very friendly and the linens smelled awesome.

Hotel was good, convenient and good breakfast. Had noisy occupants in next room but that couldn't be helped.

very nice managers asking if I needed anything, like a cab after the stay, or dining places etc. nice room , very clean.

The Jaccuzzi was a sweet icing on the cake wish I could find more rooms like this

I made a request for microwave and refrigerator, and they were not in the room nor could the be provided. The door to the room did not work well, looked like it had been broken into before. One of the bed lamps did not work. The hotel was not as close to downtown Chicago as I would have liked to have been. Other than that, the staff was great and it was a nice area to stay in. If the train ran later going back to the hotel it would have been better for going to downtown and having fun.

This is more like a motel than a hotel. Room smelled bleached - and was on first floor with door opening to parking lot so security felt questionable. You get what you pay for. I'd rather pay more then stay here again.

The room was clean and comfortable, but my complaint is that the hotel staff never gave me a package that was left for me at the front desk. I did receive the package, but only because I went to the front desk at check-out and I noticed a package with my name on it. Had I not done this, I would not have gotten the gift.

your matress was too soft during I stay at your hotel, my back still hurt....., other than that, was not bed.

After coming out for a hotel that was much more expensive, too expensive for what it had to offer, we were expecting the worse at the rate we paid. This time, we hit the jackpot. Not only was the room equipped with a roll-in shower, it had a gorgeous marble bathroom, a fridge (a basic commodity the previous hotel did not offer), and the bed was extremely comfortable. A great way to end our journey.

This is an older motel-type place. Clean, renovated, basic. Basic breakfast included. No frills, but no nonsense, either. Parking can be an issue if you have a large vehicle.

Not a bad hotel. Service was very nice and helpful. Typical continental breakfast. Comfy beds. Clean. A bit noisy outside and rooms were a little small. Good for the money it cost.

Was a comfortable stay - the beds were saggy. I wanted to take a bath, there was no stopper in the tub and I had to stuff a wash cloth in the drain whole to hold the water in the tub.

This motel was convenient to O'hare but not very close to Midway Airport. Would prefer a room on the front side of the motel as the back side is on an alley. The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the price was right. No complaints from me.

We were in town visiting family. This place was perfect for us to rest after a long day.

This place is ok for a cheap place to sleep. the breakfast area is cramped. It's a motel, not a hotel. The fitness room is a couple of low quality machines. Not horrible, not good.
