I went to the Mandarin for a quick much needed break on my own. The staff were extremely attentive to my needs as a single female traveller. I could tell folks were making sure I was cared for.The front desk manager walked me to my room to make sure it was to my liking and offered to take me to several others if I wanted to view them before making a decision. The concierge called with ideas of activities I might like, the bartender at the pool created new drinks based on what flavors I liked, the beach attendant moved the umbrella while I was sleeping so I wouldnt wake up with a sunburm. The hotel room was comfortable, stylish and very clean. I even had a view of the water from the glass shower! I had a fabulous time thanks to the staff!!

When I arrived I was greeted warmly and shown to my room. I was surprised to learn that I had purchased the "getaway package" which included 50 bucks in amenities daily. Not too shabby! Loved the service at the pool/beach and the spa services were great.I would definitely visit again. Azul was a stellar dining experience for sure!

The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff was fantastic.

Everything in the hotel was great in the hotel except the eggs on the breakfast buffet (awful!). The Spa is especially nice and has a wonderful relaxation room that all registered guests can use without booking a procedure. However, their treatments are wonderful and worth a splurge. We found that walking to nearby restaurants for dinner was better than getting the hotel food. The Capital Grille and Truluck's are nearby and absolutely great.

Not surprisingly, the Mandarin Oriental in Miami is a very good property. Brickell key is a very nice, wealthy area, located close enough to Miami beach and downtown. The room was very large, with impressive views and had everything you would expect in a 5 star property. The pool area in this hotel is very disappointing. It feels crowded and the amenities make it feel way below the level of the property. Another problem we experienced was that when calling the reception desk nobody would answer or they would put you on hold. In general, a very good experience.

From outside, the hotel doesn't look spectacular but don't pay attention of this small detail. The Mandarin is a real 5-stars showing Excellence quality and Services to its customers. I was more than satisfied by the Service offered by the staff. I think the best way to summarize what they offered is that at the end of my stay, I just felt more SAD to leave this hotel than to leave Miami. They did a wondeful job and deserve the high rates. The location is perfect for business persons and people that don't like to stay in a touristic area. The hotel is at 10min in car from South Beach / Collins Avenue / Ocean Drive. The room are clean, a lot of space and if you stay on the 6th floor, you might have the chance to have a bigger Terrasse than the rest of the people. Strongly Recommended!

The Madarin is a wonderful break from the SoBeach scene. It is close enough to venture out to the action if you want, yet far enough removed to feel that you have serenity and tranquility. I loved it. It was a great get away with myself weekend.

I was very happy with my stay at this hotel. It was truly an enjoyable experience and worth every penny.

They assigned my daughter and I a room with a 1 person balcony at first. Since this was a mother, daughter vacation I asked for a change. They gave us a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking the water. For a fee of course. Over all a great hotel for hanging around the property, which is quite wonderful. It is a bit of a hassle to get around by foot. About a 30 dollar cab ride to go to any of the neighboring beaches or sights.

the mandarin is fabulous, great service, great hotel, great location, great restaurants... just this time i had somewhat of a bad experience because the bathroom lights didn't work and when i called to get them fixed it took them 2.5 days to do it (somewhat dissapointing from a 5 star hotel).... but again! i highly recommend this hotel

The Mandarin Oriental Hotel is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The customer service at this hotel is OUTSTANDING! Every staff member that I interacted with was very helpful, pleasant, and efficient. I am not a celebrity, but the quality of service I received during my stay sure made me feel like one. I was very pleased with the condition of my room and enjoyed the views of Biscayne Bay off of my balcony. The home theatre system in the room was very impressive also. Staying at this hotel made my very first trip to Miami a very, very pleasant and relaxing experience. It will be hard for me to stay anywhere else the next time I'm there.

The Mandarin is everything you want in a luxury hotel in Miami. The hotel is located near downtown Miami not far from Coconut Grove or Key Biscayne and the beaches. But it is so nice that you may not want to venture out of the hotel. And, more important, the staff is incredible. The absolute best service. You just cannot beat it for the price.

First time stay at a Mandarin Oriental. Lived up to rating and reputation. Found Brickell location far superior to SoBe which is tawdry and had its' 15 minutes. Will stay here again. Only minor complaint was pool was to small for size and quality of property. Could find no place to lay out by the pool, but staff went overboard to try and accomidate.

This is one of the nicest hotels Ive stayed at and the staff made it just amazing. The rooms are spectacular, the views are amazing, the cleaniliness was unmatched with room services twice daily. The food in the lower floor restaurant was stunning and Im a food critic so thats saying something.I couldnt fault any of it, my husband was amazed!!! Flavors were well balanced, portions were perfect, meals were adjusted to request if necessary. The staff in the restaurant were the friendliest, informed, unintrusive staff I have come across from Francisco the manager, Ayu, Alex, Norman, Ivor and all the others, they really are a credit to the hotel! The pool was small but wasnt overcrowded as there was also the 'beach area'. The pool bar staff were anticipative, attentive and again a credit to the hotel. We like to walk as part of our exercise and theres an easy scenic route right round Brickell Island which is used by many but not crowded. 3 or 4 laps shoulod work off the amazing breakfasts ;-) I could not say enough about this hotel, highly recommended to all my friends and family and anyone I know.

We stayed for a couple days here before our cruise and loved the hotel. Fitness room had gorgeous views of the bay and fully equipped, including bottled water and cold towels. Our room was exceptional. Plenty of space, great shower, sound system, and a beautiful balcony view overlooking the bay. Restaurants were fantastic too. Wouldn't have expected anything less from Mandarin Oriental but were extremely pleased. Our first stay with the chain but will definitely be back.

The hotel's service disappointed me. Asked later check-out at the reception on the day of my entrance, and the official confirmed the possibility. However, the day of my departure, the hotel information and not rectified let us stay after 13 hours. I was a child of only 3 years! The facilities are also not great because the pool is small and the outdoors does not match the pictures shown on the hotel website. There is no comparison with the New York hotel on the same network, which is much better.

I have stayed at most luxury hotels in the downtown/Brickell area. There are some fine hotels like the Viceroy and especially the Epic, but the Mandarin's location and service sets the hotel a notch above! Spa is undergoing renovation and room decor/condition is starting to show signs of age, but otherwise the hotel is exquisite. The location on Brickell Key is great!! Apart from the rest, but yet so close...

The hotel rooms were renovated recently and my room was a very unique and so beautiful and comfortable, so I spent too much time in the room and I didn't even go to the South beach. I stayed at Four Season close by a few years ago, but 1)room--Mandarin is more comfortale and enjoyable 2) hotel itself--Mandarin is better because Four season is in building and you feel you are in a business building. 3) swimming pool -Four season is much better than Mandarin's. So, overall I like Mandarin a little better. I would go back to Mandarin again. Mandarin is a great group. SF one is wonderful, Columbus Circle one is great, DC's service is mediocre or below average, Oriental Bangkok is the best.

but no beach and bad pool

The service here was attentive if a bit snooty and the condition is nice overall but I got the feeling that it was just a tiny bit worn (or is on its way to being so). Having a balcony was nice and the location is great. However, the gym was tiny and it was tight with 5 or 6 of us using it. Also, they do not pass the 'toilet paper' test. For the price you pay to stay here, they might invest in a bit nicer toilet paper rather than the cheap stuff. I would first recommend the Four Seasons but the Mandarin would be next in line for recommendation.

If you can, ask for a higher floor -- the view of the wide bay and downtown Miami is completely amazing! The hotel features great amenities, attentive staff, and beautiful surroundings. The gym was almost too clean and nice to actually use. As you know, luxury hotels include luxury prices... for everything. Internet, food, parking are all premiums. Over the course of a one week stay with no room service, I incurred almost $400 in incidentals, mostly from the $30 per night parking fee. Oh, and gratuity is already on every bill, so only add a tip if you *really* liked the service! I enjoyed staying somewhere other than south beach for a change, but it did mean driving to find places to eat & shop, especially at night.

Having read a few horror reviews we were worried about visiting this hotel. However, we feel that the reviews must have been about a different hotel! The service was wonderful (free cocktail samples, cold towels and sun lounger service) and nothing was too much trouble. We would go back tomorrow... and unlike most hotels, tipping for every little thing is NOT expected (other than the usual).

All altezza del nome mandarin! Richiederei solo una maggiore attenzione di pulizia e servizio sulla zona piscina /spiaggia che tra l altro e molto bella!

Très très bel hôtel, mais un peu loin de Miami Beach

シティ･ビューを予約しておいたが、ベイ･ビューにアップグレード。チェックインのあと出かけようとすると、ドアマンがキチンとこちらの名前を呼んで挨拶する。バンコックのオリエンタルなどでは実行されているが、アメリカのホテルでは初めて。ランチとディナーをベイサイドのテラスにあるレストランで食べたが、雰囲気、食事内容共に申し分なし。アメリカでは余り有名でないためか、価格もリッツカールトンなどよりはぐっと安くて、ここに泊まらない手はない。

Eu já havia tido boas referencias deste hotel, mas me surpreendi positivamente com tudo do hotel. A cordialidade no atendimento, as instalações (academia, piscina, etc) são muito confortáveis e o restaurante Azul é um "adicional" importante. Fiquei hospedado lá e não imagino voltar a Miami e ficar hospedado em outro hotel.

Sehr gut gelegen. Hat eigenen privat Strand. Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Preis / Leistung hervorragend. Sehr gute und schöne Restaurants im Hause.
