Radisson Ambassador Plaza Hotel & Casino - سان خوان

Hotel is dated but fine for the price and location.The staff was nice and diligent. Unfortunately our non smoking room smelled like humidity and cigarettes. But the BIG problem was my husband woke up on our second and last day with CLUSTERS OF BITES ALL OVER HIS BODY! Yes my friends BED BUGS!! Its true that I didnt see any but if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck... Needless to say we will not return.

I was welcomed very nicely and they were kind enough to let me check in early. The ice machine on my floor was broken so I went to the next floor and three more floors and they were broken on every single floor. I then went to the front desk where they appologized for the inconvenience and got me three ice cold sodas. The hotel staff was pleasant and it was hard to be upset. Would stay again!

As a pre-cruise stay it was rather expensive for the condition of the hotel. The room was clean, however, the areas around the ice machines, etc., were definately not. It was close to the cruise port but had no shuttle so we had to take a taxi. We also had to take a taxi from the airport and there was no free continental breakfast. We definately did not feel we got much for the price that we paid. We will not stay here again nor will we recommend this to our friends.

The hotel staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Service is excellent. Floor needs to leveled and carpet seems worn out and old which is pretty typical in the tropics. I would never put carpet in this hotel as it gets old a week after it is installed. I would give up on the carpet and install good ceramic tile in the hallways and rooms. Tile always looks and wears well. It would make all the difference in the world for this place. The location of this hotel is excellent with plenty of good restaurants and stores nearby. For get the buses. They are cheap and will get you where you want to go if you are willing to wait. Overall this place is excellent

I only stayed here one night to be close to the airport for my early departure. After my one night I'm glad I was there only one night. I could hear everything going on in the hall, casino, and the streets. The staff was a little less than average in their politeness. If you have the option, I would stay in Luquillo, to get away from the crowd in San Juan (unless you don't mind that of course).

I was mostly pleased with the Radisson Ambassador, and it was a relatively good value for the price. Some of the positives: very close to Condado beach (just a short walk from the hotel) and restaurants/shops in the Condado area; room was surprisingly large; staff was very helpful when I needed something. On the downside, the hotel is a bit small and the amenities are pretty basic. (I would add though, that the pool was much nicer in person than it looked in the photos.) Also a few times I had to call to ask for things that the housekeeping staff had neglected to replace (for example, coffee for the coffee machine. Overall this hotel is a reasonable choice for someone who wants to stay in Condado and does not want to pay and arm and a leg.

I was very allergic to the down feather pillows and comfortor. These items were promptly replaced in my room, but I still felt the allergens in the air even when we left the doors and balcony open for a while. I was congested the whole time I was there, so I know I have to advise the hotel in advance to prepare a room for me because of my condition. The price was great and the quality of service was very good.

It was okay. The only thing that I didn't like was that they automatically tried to charge 1.00 per day for some kid charity. I know that I had already paid for my stay with you but I always like to see a final bill when I checked out. There was 4.00 on there from this automatic charity which I had them remove. Otherwise, all went fine.

Nice place. Relatively inexpensive.Pleasant and friendly staff members.Good restaurants close by. Would go back to this location.

IT WAS A GOOD STAY .I LIKE HOTEL THAT WHY I CAME BACK TO STAY IN THE ROOM IT IA CLEAN.I WILL TO GET A MEMBER SHIP CARD.

We had a pleasant stay overall but no one came to clean our room.

Surprised at the size of the room with a king. Especially when returning from 7 day cruise. Very clean bathroom. The free drinks were a plus as well. We walked to the beach and great restaurants within walking distance too.

the hotel is located at a nice location and clean, but the front desk staff can interact a little better way an d make the guests pleased to visit frequently. Dr.Ravi

Stayed there in April 2012 for two nights, it's was wonderful, the guy at the front desk was very nice. That was my first time staying in a honor club room and I loved it. Any time I am going to puerto Rico I will be staying at the radisson hotel.

If you want local food go to BeBo's. It is a 10 min walk from the hotel. We were the only non-locals in the place. Food was good and was reasonable. service was friendly and they like having foriegners visit their place. There is a SuperMax grocery store across the street where we stocked up on Cokes and bottle water Carlos, who worked the front desk was very helpful with our questions. He was there in the afternoon. Our only complaint with the hotel was at checkin with our friends who traveled with us. they came in late the next day, stood in line for the 1 desk clerk to check the line in when a 2nd clerk came to help and started taking people from the back of the line. Our friends ending up being the last couple to get checked in despite being in the middle of the queque. the desk agent recognized what had happend and gave them an upgraded room to compensate for the faux pas but, a line is a line and they should help the next one in line, not pushing people from the back of the line. AND lady I'm talking about you if you read this

Stayed only one night before a cruise, everything was very good to excellent. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Did not use any of the amenities. Arrived before check-in and the bags stored until the room was ready. Storage used after check-out. Clean comfortable room. Lots of restaurants in area. Will stay here again.

Was a very warm welcome and some good freebies for drinks and gambling with check-in. Got a good deal on a room last minute. Great value for the price

Let me start by saying the hotel is close to everything, but so are the other hotels and they are much nicer. We started our stay in Rio Grande on the other side of Puerto Rico at a resort. We wanted to see San Juan, Condado and old San Juan so booked a room and got this. Had we seen it before committing it would have been a NO WAY!! Crowded pool, crappy casino, rooms are completely outdated and nasty!! The showers are hot, then turn ice cold repeatedly during a shower. Tubs and toilets are disgusting and are a 1980's black & gold decor, but gross, The breakfast is "free" if you stay in certain rooms, but it is filled with moochers who hoard the food and tables and you have to beg for more juice, bagels, milk etc. Most times we had to stand and eat our breakfast. I;d rather go somewhere and pay than endure that again. Kids run around screaming at 7 am while the parents allow it. The walls are PAPER THIN and you can hear every word, creak, toilet flushing and the elevator makes a terrible sound every single time it opens and closes and if you are close enough you can hear it ALL NIGHT and ALL MORNING long. We played at Marriott's casino down the street and were able to dine and use the facilities there. If we were staying any longer we would have moved to the Marriott. WE were truly KICKING ourselves for staying at the Radisson. Never again! I would not recommend to my enemy!!

I will recommend this hotel to anyone who isn't particular about TV and internet. The hotel is in a convenient part of the city and two blocks from the beach. There's even a Burger King next door. The staff was very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. The only thing I had a problem with was the TV and internet. The TV was old and the remote was too worn out to work right. The internet signal was too weak in the room that it was not useable. These two things were important to me. Therefore, I will stay at a different hotel on my next visit to San Juan.

everything is walkable...

Hotel service was good but hotel is out dated. Had a tube tv and floor was uneven. Surrounding area very run down and not many food options with out walking a decent distance.

The Radisson is less expensive than the la concha, and the marriott stelliars (which are both within a 5 minute walk). But it is not as nice as the other two. I had to ask for my sheets to be changed because they had a couple of stains that the house keeping lady said did not come out in the washer. My advice to her was to throw them away. Also, the hotel is older and not as nice inside as others. Overall it is in a good location with a good surronding neighborhood becasue you can walk to the other casinos and restaurants. If your on a budget it will save you $100 a night, but remember, you get what you pay for.

had a nice time at this hotel the guys at the first desk, parking, at the bar were very nice and always helpful

Rude front desk supervisor. I had called that morning to confirm an early check in, and the person I spoke to said no problem; this supervisor didn't agree and made me wait 2 hours for my room. The room was nice and spacious, but the bed was very firm and generally uncomfortable. Cleaning of the room was done very late in the day, and they never replaced my shampoo/lotion/etc. Ambassador Club has a great lounge and honor bar, but the food was sub par at best. Good pool; friendly bartenders; close to airport; concierge was very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

The day we arrived I call to front desk in order to tell that the air conditioning was not running well. They came and say nothing happens in the air conditioning. The nex day the air conditioning doesnt work and they came to the room and never repair the air conditioning The door of the bathroom was impossible to open from inside and they repair and the next person going to use the bath has the same problem againg.

I had a great time at the Radisson Hotel...I would recommend this hotel...

Very nice visit here. The woman that assisted us at check-in was very professional and pleasant. The cleaning staff replenished only one coffee in our room the next morning. Ready taxi's, good restaurant, everyone pleasant.
