GO FOR IT! NICE ROOM, NICE BATHROOM AND THE BEST POSITION IN PRAGUE

Great hotel, with rustic feel. I was staying on business, so the free WI-FI with strong signal throughout the hotel was a fantastic service. My room was on the 4th floor and in the roof space, but was a good size with exposed beams for added character. Despite being at the top of the hotel, the shower was strong with instant hot water. There was a safe in the room, plus all you need to make tea and coffee.. The guys on reception were very helpful; great restaurant suggestion just round the corner serving good food and beer at local rates, not tourist rates! If you are visiting for pleasure you can’t beat the location at one end of the Charles Bridge; within 1 - 2 minutes walk you have amazing views of Prague Castle on one side and the old town on the other. Even for those of us meant to be working, you get to see a lot in less than an hour! The only thing to be wary of is there are 4 floors, but the lift only goes to the 3rd. If you don’t want to carry your bag(s), make sure you are on a lower floor. Fantastic value for what I paid.

The hotel is well located close to the castle and Charles Bridge; with a jazz bar next door. There was a little noise but it did not disturb us at night. Our room was spacious and had character. The only gripe was only one pillow each but we just folded them over which was fine. The location was great; a very busy part of town but only minutes from the castle, Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotel is not bad. Nice location, not bad breakfast. Only one concern about hotel front desk service (they are not friendly and do not expect if they take care your requests)

Loved this hotel and the location. Perfect place to be to get to all the major sites in Prague. Hotel staff were very accomodating. Nice breakfast included. Would definitely stay there again.

Nice hotel, in a very busy location right by the Charles Bridge. Next time I would choose to stay a litle bit further away from all the tourists but it was a convenient location for our first trip to Prague. The room was nice and quite large, however, since we were on the first floor we often heard noise from the main floor/reception area early in the morning. I also wouldn't want a room overlooking the main street, I would think they would also hear quite a bit of noise. Breakfast was basic, but good.

It was unseasonably hot during our stay. The heat came on one evening and couldn't be turned down or off. The technical staff finally was able to shut it off completely. When we tried to turn on the AC we were told it was on but our room was not cooling down and we could not adjust the temps. As a result, we had to open the windows at night and could not sleep because of the street noise which went on well past midnight. We had reserved a double bed but were told on arrival a twin room had been reserved for us. When we showed our receipt we were given a room with a double bed. On the plus side, the room itself and its appointments were gorgeous and very romantic. Breakfast was outstanding and the location was perfect for quick access to all the sights by public transportation. Staff was very helpful but was not able to fix our HVAC situation.

The Charles was really easy to find and the location is as good as you can get in Prague. Only complaint is that because the location is so good and our room faced the street, it was quite noisy through the night (drunk people and street cleaners mainly, not traffic as it is basically pedestrianised). Our room was great other than that though; loads of space and a nice modern bathroom. All very clean and I'd thoroughly recommend the hotel.

Very lovely place, clean, helpful staff, great big and clean room, great breakfast, all was fantastic will stay here again in the future. I come here once a year for few days and this hotel is by far my favorite in Prague

This hotel was in a great location, the room was wonderful clean , staff was helpful. Beacuase of the location it was a little loud (on the street) at night but cant be helped and it was not that bad.

I was very happy with my stay at the Charles Hotel in Prague! Charming property and decor, nice bathroom, nice and helpful staff. The breakfast is modest but ok and there was trouble with the heating on my last day, but they were working hard to get it repaired promptly. The location is just awesome. Close to metro (I used Melostranska) and right at the Charles Bridge! The walk to the Castle is really nice and easy (uphill but I like the walking/exercise) Neighborhood safe, a little street noise at night but not bad. This is overall a really nice place to stay and a very good value, I will return to the Charles when I visit Prague again.

For me it was in a great location close to the Castle and of course the Charles Bridge, staff were friendly and attentive.

The hotel service and condition of the hotel were good. The hotel was clean, however, I found a hair in my bed and bathtub, which is why I gave cleanliness a four instead of a five. No big deal, but still... I rarely sleep well in hotel beds, but this one was very comfortable. Hotel pillows are generally of poor quality, but these were very comfortable and nice. The hotel location is great. It is located 100 feet or so from the St. Charles bridge. Everything else is in walking distance. The neighborhood is also nice. During the night it is quiet and safe. There is also a convenience store nearby. Overall, I would give The Charles five out of five points. The hotel was a great value, especially when you take the location into consideration. Internet was free. My only complaint is the breakfast. It was certainly free and better than nothing, but it was lacking. The eggs and sausages were cold, the coffee thin, and the meat and cheese were sitting out for some time without being laid on ice. I do not believe that should deter anyone from staying here, which is why I recommend The Charles.

I recently stayed at the Charles Hotel in Prague and the hotel exceeded all my expectations. First, the hotel is located in the Mala Strana neighborhood, about a block from the Charles Bridge and a short - but steep - walk to the castle. If you want to visit the Old Square, it's only about a 20 min walk. Despite the central location, the hotel is very quiet at night (if you're looking for a peaceful rest, like I was). The rooms are very charming - exposed beams on the ceiling, hardwood floors, big, old fashioned beds, etc. The staff were very friendly and helpful - we got excellent restaurant recommendations from the front desk each of the 3 nights we were there. When I go back to Prague I will not hesitate to plan my stay at the Charles.

The hotel is located very close to the Charles Bridge in a very picturesque but noisy neighborhood with no air conditioning (which I do not mind). The room was quite big and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very nice. We enjoyed our stay there very much!

Great location.Fairly noisy (due to street noise). Overall, good value and clean.

호텔의 친절도나 청결도가 매우 우수함. 아침식사도 괜찮았음. 특히 까를다리 바로 옆에 위치하여 구시가지 광장이나 프라하성으로 접근이 매우 편리함. 전체적으로 좋은 호텔이었음.

프라하 구시가지와 프라하성을 연결하는 까를다리 바로 앞에 있어서 위치는 너무 환상적이었구요. 청결도와 서비스도 좋았어요. 다음에 프라하를 방문하더라도 다시 찾고 싶은 호텔이었습니다.

Mycket bra hotel som jag kan rekomendera. Ligger på gamla sidan utav Karlsbron. Vissa rum har fönster ut mot gatan där det stundtals kan upplevas livat. På nätterna var det inga problem alls med att somna in.Finns även ett närliggande klocktorn som ljuder varje hel timme men endast fram till klockan 00.00.Frukost serveras i källaren lite opersonligt och är utav enklare hotel standard. Promenera istället till något närliggande kafe som serverar frukost mycket trevligare.Kommer garanterat bo här igen nästa gång jag åker tillbaks.

Koselig hotell rett ved karlsbroa, perfekt beliggenhet. Hjelpsom betjening som alle snakket flytende engelsk. Koselig stort rom med moderne bad. Frokosten var helt ok, bra sammenliknet med andre europeiske land, dårlig sammenliknet med norske hotell. Rommet vårt lå rett over en pub, men det var bare bråk en kveld. Denne puben var faktisk veldig hyggelig og vi var innom hver kveld.

Hotel Charles oser af charme og historie, i de gamle velbevarede bygninger. Både lokalerne og personalet gjorde at vi følte os velkomne og godt tilpas.

Erinomainen sijainti, rauhallinen sivukatu aivan Kaarlen sillan lähellä. Tilava huone, kylpyhuoneessa keskieurooppalaisittain amme, ei sovi huonojalkaisille Kaikki toimi, lämmitys, lämmin vesi etc

This was our 5th time visiting Prague and every time we're here we try to stay at a different hotel. The location of this hotel was great, but seeing as our room was on the first floor overlooking the main street, there was lots of noise (drunk tourists, street cleaners) almost all night long. But I guess if you chose a hotel in a good location, you have to deal with the noise. This wasn't my main concern with this hotel. My husband and I are late risers. Every day when we had our shower in the morning (after 10am) there was no hot water!!! Showering at night or early (8ish) was fine. Even though the cleaning staff brought us new towels everyday, the old ones were left hanging behind the bathroom door and the mugs we used the previous day weren't replaced. In the bathroom there was nowhere to keep your toiletries and in the shower you could only keep your shampoo etc. on the floor. The bathroom wasn't really well thoughtout. When checking out they tried to charge us for a beer from the minibar that we didn't drink. There was no parking when we arrived. They sent us to another hotel to park for 18Euros a day. Apparently the Charles charges 30Euros a day, which is a complete rip off!! The staff wasn't very friendly and the 4 stars are overrated. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again. The breakfast buffet was nice.

객실 내에 놓아 둔 휴대품 중에 노트북만 분실되는 사고발생. 호텔매니저와 직원에게 신고하고 경찰도 출동하여 조사하였고 아직 결과를 기다리고 있는 중이기는 하지만 호텔측이 보여준 무성의와 책임 회피적인 태도는 도저히 이해할 수 없는 수준임. 결정적으로 로비와 각 층 복도에 cc tv가 전혀 설치되어 있지 않고 객실 현관문 시건장치도 재래식이라 자동으로 문이 닫기지도 않아 보안에 매우 취약한 상태이므로 만약 휴대품이 분실될까 아닐까를 즐기시려는 분만 이용하시기 바람.

Detta hotell ligger väldigt centralt till allting. Hotellet är enkelt men trevligt, rummen är normalstora. frukosten i källaren men det var ok.

The Charles är prisvärt och ligger nära Prags kända sevärdheteter.

Hotel centralissimo a due passi dal ponte Charles. La camera era bellissima e pulitissima ed era situata in una posizione silenza. Personale giovane e molto cordiale.

Vårt opphold i Praha ble en suksess - for en stor del takket være hotellet The Charles, som på alle måter tilfredsstilte våre behov, sentralt beliggende og rolig kvarter i byen. Betjeningen meget serviceminded og stemningsfull og vakkert interiør, som ga en touch av Praha - kvalitet på baderom likeså. - Dette vil vi anbefale for andre reisende på det beste og kommer selv gjerne tilbake.

Vieille batisse bien remise en état, accueil très agréable. Chambre confortable avec poutres peintes. Très grand lit . Salle d'eau très correcte. Petit dej copieux et bon. Situation parfaite pour les vistes des deux côtés du fleuve et à 200 m de Pont Charles

Hôtel très sympa pour une escapade amoureuse à Pragues. Idéalement situé près du pont Charles pour visiter la ville. Les Chambres sont originales et bien équipées. Le service est très satisfaisant et le petit déjeuner copieux.

Está todo muy bien, muy cómodo. Bonita la habitación y agradable. Hay solo una cosa que no nos gustó y es que el desayuno se tome en el sótano. Está limpio y decorado pero huele a humedad y la falta de luz y sol desmerece mucho.

The Charles har en svært sentral beliggenhet i forhold til det meste av historiske Praha. Enkelt, rimelig og rolig

Hôtel parfait. Belles chambres. Parfaitement situé si on vient sans voiture (1min à pied du pont Charles) Confortable. Petit dej varié. Prix corrects. Personnel serviable. J'y retourne dès que possible.

Hotellet har god standard i forhold til prisen. Rommet vi hadde var stort og hyggelig. Eneste minus er at klokkene fra kirken i nærheten markerer hvert kvarter fra morgenen til kveld. Men det er vel ikke lett å komme unna i Praha... :) Perfekt beliggenhet, kort vei til ALT! Et pluss er jazzklubben i samme gate som visstnok er en av byens beste. Frokosten er enkel og grei, men ingen høydare. Vi bor gjerne der igjen neste gang vi er i Praha!

Hotellet ligger perfekt vid Karlsbron. Nära Nicholauskyrkan och en spårvagnshållplats där man kan ta spårvagnar i alla väderstreck. det är ett gammalt hotell med synliga stockar i taken. Rummen är sobert inredda. Allt är rent och snyggt. Badrummet var modernt på alla sätt. Tvättlapparna var vikta till små konstverk. det fanns alla möjliga små detaljer som fringisar; tex. skohorn, sypåsar, tops och alla möjliga tvålar och schampon. frukosten fanns i källaren I gamla valv från svunna tider. Mycket trivsam miljö för morgonmat och dagsplanering. Själva frukosten innehöll allt som ska finnas. Äggröra eller stekta ägg. bacon, korv och kokta grönsaker. The o kaffe förstås. Och en oherrans massa mamelader och sylt. Skivade ostar och korvar och skinkor. Joggisar med olika smaker. Juice av tre eller fyra sorter. Det var rökfritt i hela hotellet. En modern dator fanns uppställd bredvid lobbyn och kostade ingenting att använda. Det var tyst på nätterna. Alla möjliga turistaffärer fanns inom 100 meter, men man fick vara ifred för försäljare. Vid spårvagnshållplatsen kunde man köpa nybakad sockerkaka och och varmt rödvin i pappmugg! Eller Grog! Vilket var varmt vatten med inhemsk rom och några sockerbiter. Det värmde gott i snålblåsten. Det skulle varit i Sverige det- vin eller rom vid spårvagnen!? Under våra fyra dagar hann vi med en hockeymatch(biljettpris-75 kronor!), en teaterföreställning(biljettpris 250kronor) och en dixielandkväll(entre 200 kronor). Och slottet, och kyrkor av alla de slag, astronomiska uret, gamla olympiastadion(med plats för 230.000 sittande!) och alla andra sevärdheter. Det var kul att gå upp i tornet på Nicholauskyrkan. Där fanns tidigare ett rum som befolkades av hemliga polisen. Rummet var sig likt från den gamla tiden. Kikare och hemliga mikrofoner. kameror inbyggda i handväskor. En massa korrespondes mellan agenterna. Från tornet hade amn uppsikt på USA-, Italien- och andra ambassaders ingångar. varje heltimme är det en trumpetare som tutar. Se till
