This hotel was definately a 2 star. It was very small and they do not have an elevator although they have 6 floors. Surrounding neighborhood was ugly and dirty. But it was very close to the subway which pretty much takes u everywhere.

The hotel was located right down the street from the Metro Station. Which made it very easy to go anywhere we wanted to. We were within 20 minutes of everything. The area was decent. Good food on the street. Parking was difficult to find. The room was extremely small. However, overall we didn't spend much time in the room and the hotel was a nice stay.

Modern was a really nice hotel! It was clean, and the room was actually a bit bigger than other rooms I've stayed it. The only downside: the neighborhood wasn't great, and it wasn't a great location. We had a long walk to the sights. There was a metro nearby, though, and that helped.

I have lots of experience of cheap Paris hotels, and I would rate this well above-average. Friendly staff, room and bath clean and modern, even attractive, though the dimensions of the room were such that the bed almost completely blocked access to the bath. Close to Metro. Neighborhood nondescript, but a real Parisian neighborhood.

It was fairly cheap for 'central' paris. Good location, short walk to the bastille and the river, near the metro station and close to several supermarkets and restaurants. Hotel staff were ok, as friendly as the french get. Room was clean but cold in the winter, only french tv, not very sound proofed from other rooms and only had hot water at night time. many many stairs and no lift.

We stayed here over Valentine's Day and it was about what you'd expect for a 2 star European hotel. The stairs were steep and narrow to get up to our room, the room was very very small, and it was somewhat close to a metro station but nowhere near the sites of Paris that you'd want to see. Our room was clean and the staff was friendly. HOWEVER (and this is a big one): they decided to "upgrade" our shower door in our room on Valentine's Day. This would have been fine since we were out of the room during the day. But, when we got back around 7 pm and were absolutely exhausted for the day, they had lost our room key which took a while to find, then we got back and the shower door wasn't done. They sent up a plumber to finish it during the evening when we were there trying to relax from our long day and told us we couldn't us the shower until the morning. When we tried to complain, both to the night front desk person and in the morning, they suddenly couldn't speak as much English, told us we'd just missed the manager (both times), and said, "well, you've already stayed here so.........."- basically not their problem apparently. Won't stay there again.

It is a well hotel consedering the price / quality ratio. The room was cleaned every day. The furniture was designed but the walls are thin. It was ok.

I booked this hotel specifically because it was cheap, and you get what you pay for. On the positive side, the room itself was ok, clean, beds were very comfortable, bathroom newly renovated, windows opened, about a 2 block walk to the metro. The staff was helpful and let us drop our luggage even tho the room was not ready yet. On the negative side, there is no elevator so we had a 4 floor walkup, and it was very noisy. The cafe was below our window and was rowdy until 12:30am, at which time they were using a high pressure hose to wash things, someone's alarm kept going off every 45 seconds for almost half an hour, and there was major construction next door so they started with a power saw at 7:30 in the morning. No toiletries other than a tiny bar of soap. Also, no a/c and it happened to be very hot that day..thankfully the windows open. Like I said, it was ok for one night.

The hotel is in a fabulous location - with shops, bars, bank and a wonderful greengrocers very close by. Very easy to get to if travelling from the train station and within walking distance of Bastille, Notre Dame etc. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful - providing me with everything to make my stay a good one! The room was a perfect size for 2 and everything was spotless. The only gripe I had was with the 7 Euro charge for internet access. There is no lift at the hotel and I was staying on the 6th floor but I didn't find the stairs too much trouble. As the guy on reception said "sporty sporty!". Would definitely stay there again if I return to Paris.

a little out of the way but close to metro. No elevator so alittle harder if you have heavy luggage and on the upper floors

We were unsure about this hotel when we booked it at first, but we were desperate for something cheap. We were nervous about how clean it would be and if we would have a bathroom. We had our own shower, toilet, and sink! They came into our room every day to clean, and make the bed. We pretty much only used the room for sleeping, so we weren't around much. But the staff was helpful when we needed something! It was not the most comfortable, it was quite small, but thats how it is unless you want to pay an arm and a leg! Be prepared to use the stairs as there is no elevator (but it is worth it if you are able). Also, the metro lines that are within 5 minutes walking from the hotel will take you just about anywhere with one or two changes. We did not have high expectations for this place, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was not trashy, and it provided us a good safe place for three nights with the amenities that we really needed.

Everything with the hotel was as it should be. The rooms were quite comfortable and clean. The water was hot and abundant. However there are a considerable number of stairs to be climbed to reach most of the rooms so you should perhaps make arrangements for a room close to the ground floor if that will be a problem.

Pas terrible! Hotel tres mediocre et l'accueil du personnel de nuit laisse beaucoup a desirer! Incompetence total!!!

Espace réduit pour notre chambre - pas d'acenceur (6 étages) mais bon rapport qualité prix ; bon accueil

Чистота на хорошем уровне. Убирают ежедневно, полотенца и белье меняют во-время, отсутствие лифта, конечно, минус, расположение отеля вблизи метро и центра города, но одновременно на достаточно тихой улице, - большой плюс.

Tres bonne location, service sympathique et chambre correcte

Chambre minuscule.Petit lit. Pas de porte de salle de bain / wc, ni de porte de douche, ni de table de chevet, ni de porte manteau, ni de verres ( il faut les demander)... Chambre propre, literie correcte et bon accueil, mais ca ne vaut pas les 110 euros annoncés sur la porte de la chambre ni les 85 euros avec la réduction. Un petit 2 etoiles et pourtant je ne suis pas difficile.

Kylpyhuone täysin lämmittämätön. Television "kapula" panttia vastaan. Todella surkea äänieristys huoneissa. Öisin rauhallista ja hiljaista, sai hyvin nukutuksi.

Ванная комната холодная (отопление отсутствует). В комплект банных принадлежностей входит только кусочек мыла, в первые сутки было три полотенца на двоих, после уборки третье полотенце забрали, которое можно было бы использовать как коврик для ног, так как кафель в ванной комнате холодный, стоишь как на снегу. В услугах заявлен телевизор, он есть, но пульт за деньги. Постельное белье, старенькое, одеялом укрываться не возможно, так как оно из серии как раньше были в наших воинских частях (тонкое и колючее).

Für ein paar Tage kein schlechtes Hotel, Fühstück ist sehr schlicht, deshalb ist es besser ausserhalb zu Frühstücken. Wände sind sehr dünn, mann hört jeden Gast der die Treppen hinauf oder hinunter geht. Zimmer sehr klein. Bad und Klo sauber. Fazit: Für ein paar Tage gehts weil mann nicht viel am Zimmer ist.

the room is small, it's not super comfy, but that's what you got for the price.if you are on budget, its not a bad choice.

Je me suis fait très mal recevoir a l'hôtel. Ils s'étaient trompé dans leur réservation et malgré leur erreur ont été très désagréables envers moi Sinon l'hôtel est très moyen (chambre au 5eme sans ascenseur) et bruyant. Caution pour les télécommandes. Je le déconseille vivement.

La chambre (N 13) que j'ai occupé est trop petite (-10m2). En plus c'est très bruyant. Je n'ai pas fermé l'oei les quatre nuits

Chambre propre et petite, tuyau de douche percé, hôtel bruyant notamment en raison des gens qui descendent les escaliers centraux comme des elephants.

Hotellet helt OK om man bortser från att hiss saknades.Nära Metro men med linjer där det var svårt att byta.

Hotelt Modern var perfekt for vårt opphold i Paris, fordi ci hadde ikke planer om å tilbringe så mye tid på hotellet. Det var rent, billig og ikke så alt for langt i fra servedighetene i Paris. Et veldig bra alternativ for studenter som vil bruke penger andre steder enn på opphold.

tout à fait correct pour cette gamme, accueil sympa, propre, jolie déco recente.mais...5eme etage sans ascenseur.

Je garde un bon souvenir de l'hôtel. La chambre est vraiment petite : mais il y a tout ce qu'il faut à l'intérieur pour y passer un bon séjour Par 2 fois sur 6 petits déjeuner , il manquait du beurre. L'isolation este bonne par un système de double porte.

Hotel limpio, bien ubicado cerca del metro Pére Lachaise. Habitación bastante chica, pero cuidada y limpia. Personal atento. El wifi más o menos, por momentos se cortaba, pero no estuvo mal tampoco.

El hotel esta muy bien, cerca hay varios supermercados y la salida del metro esta muy cerca. El unico problema que tuvimos fue que el wifi fallaba, pero por lo demas muy recomendable

OK voor de prijs. Kritiekpuntjes; de verwarming stond te hoog en kon niet uitgedraaid worden. Geen shampoo beschikbaar. Maar één internetverbinding mogelijk per kamer. Ontbijt was beperkt en niet helemaal het geld waard.

A nice little hotel. Nothing special though. No elevator. The staff was nice. Clean towels every day. The room had a strong smell of cleaning products which actually gave the impression that it was a bit dirty... I would say the floor was a little dirty, but the bathroom was fresh and clean. We stayed two people in a three persons room and that was perfect. However I would say that it would be very crowded it we had been three! It is a very small room. We had to move the third bed to be able to open the window but then we could not open the cupboard. :) So we used the third bed for storage. No way of controlling the temperature in the room. We were freezing a little during the night and the air was very, very dry in the room. Considering the rather cheap price I would say it was worth it since we wanted to stay in that area. However - next time I would try something different! :)

L'hôtel était proche de la station de métro (ligne 2 et 3) ce qui fut pratique pour notre escapade romantique a deux. Cependant le quartier est tout sauf représentatif de Paris et laisse quelque peu a désirer. L'hôtel est propre mais sans ascenseur. La chambre était de taille correcte mais les murs fins (on entendait les bruits de couloirs des autres chambres et de la rue). La décoration était plaisante dans un style classique. Le lit grinçait néanmoins... La salle de bain es petite également. Il y a assurément mieux comme hôtel dans la capitale mais le prix était raisonnable.

Assez bien situé. Problème d'internet; il est sporadique.. Il n'y a pas moyen de téléphoner car le téléphone est débranché. Il faut déposer une caution pour la télé commande.Personnel gentil.

satisfaite, les photos sur internet sont un peu trompeuses mais le personnel est aimable, ils nous ont gardé les valises le jour de notre départ. La chambre etait petite mais propre, l'hôtel est calme. Bonne calefaction.

Je suis toute l'année sur Paris et je tourne dans pas mal d'hôtels de la capitale. Cet hôtel est a déconseiller le personnel est désagréable les chambres sont inconfortable la Tv est mis de telle façon que dans votre lit vous ne voyez pas l'image. Les murs sont en papier, la salle d'eau est très étroite. C'est vraiment un catastrophe a ce demandé comment cet hôtel a pu obtenir une note dépassant le 1.
