Selected the hotel for its proximity to the airport and the water view. It was recently remodeled and very comfortable. Our room had fireplace which we were surprised to find we would need in May, and really enjoyed it. Only stairwell access to 2nd and 3rd floors, but help is available for bags. Checked in and receptionist was most gracious in ensuring she found just the right room to meet our needs. Small pub downstairs for dining but nothing special and we chose to drive downtown to take advantage of great seafood restaurants in Halifax.

there for a 1 night stay after travelling all day. Bed was very comfortable and Mary the shuttle driver was extremely helpful. The stairs and lack of an elevator are an issue for seniors

The hotel is very nice, but I found the front desk staff difficult. My flight was delayed coming in and their shuttle ends at mid night, so I paid $36 for a taxi one way (about a 7 min drive). Then there was a change in our departing flight early in the morning, but unfortunately we needed to go to the airport to rebook and were not able to do so over the phone. When I asked if we could return to our room after changing the flight (check out is at 11am and it was only 6:30 am) I was told the shuttle would not come back for us (myself, pregnant, and my 2 year old daughter). So we spent 11 hours in the airport, when I wanted to let my daughter sleep a couple more hours in a bed that I paid for.

Very quaint setting. Staff is excellent! Bed's are comfortable and had a wonderful sleep. Would recommend a stay to anyone. Great location to airport and to nearest shopping district. Way to go!

Very comfortable room and friendly staff. Lovely lakeside location too. Would have been great to spend more time there if we'd been able.

Great place to stay near the airport that doesn't feel near the airport! Complimentary shuttle every half hour-on time & easy. Very nice location on a lake that we wished we had time to enjoy. Beds were very comfortable & staff very friendly. Bartendress was great to engage with us, ended our vacation to Nova Scotia on a great note! thank you!

Two small "issues" -no elevator and most rooms are upstairs -about 15 min to airport, shuttle runs every 30minutes 5am - midnight.

I found Inn on the Lake on # 2 Highway to be very close to the airport which was our goal. I wasn't made aware that there would be a lite snack of breads and muffins and tea or coffee in the morning which was a very nice surprise as we left so early in the morning and it was a long wait before we had a chance to have breakfast. So i would say we had a very pleasant stay and will surley come back.

Upon arrival the friendly and professional staff quickly offered us a more access friendly room to accommodate our special needs. The hotel offers up a old fashioned elegance of days gone by, beautifully situated easily off 102 hwy in Fall River. The staff at the front desk were exceedingly helpful with directions etc.. The restaurant "Encore" has all the immenities of a five star establishment including a no ballcaps rule. Service was attentive and detailed. Prices were higher than average, but if your missing a service oriented atmosphere, you'll find it here in spades.

We arrived very late at night so it was difficult to see, however when the shuttle service picked us up to go to the airport (which I must mention is one of the top reasons why we booked this hotel) the hotel sits on a beautiful property overlooking the lake. Apparently in the summer time the hotel is surrounded with flowers, it also has a beautiful gazebo - prefect for wedding photos! We were extremely pleased with the hotel staff, made us feel very welcome. There was also a small continental breakfast, great muffins and coffee!

This is a wonderful boutique hotel. The front lobby is quaint and the receptionist very polite, helpful and welcoming. The rooms were large and bright and clean. They arranged for a taxi to the airport for 4 AM, and paid for it because the shuttle only starts later! Our remote control for the fireplace did not work, so we had to use the controls under the fireplace (what a hardship). The metal plate on the front of the bathroom tissue dispenser would not stay on. Restaurant was very good. High marks all around! We would stay there again, and the price was very reasonable.

We chose this hotel due proximity to Halifax airport. They also offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. Extremely FRIENDLY service and hospitality from EVERYONE. Sign of good management! Nice setting on Lake Thomas with outside gazebo, small beach, tennis courts,etc. Very serene during our fall visit. When our flight was cancelled coming home, we ended up staying a second time being they were close to the airport. And the second experience was just as wonderful as the first. They seem to enjoy "special occasions" at dinner and readlity took our picture for their website ... and gave us a nice copy as remembrance of our 40th wedding anniversary! Very nice touch. Their two restaurants were very nice. Lastly, on our second visit, being unexpected ... they accommodated a room change request (upgrade) ... and we applauded them for their special consideration. In summary, would definitely visit them when in or around Halifax,NS ... FRIENDLIEST is their signature hallmark

This is a lovely Inn in a beautiful setting. The room was very nice and clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also, the Inn provides free shuttle service to and from the Halifax airport. Only downside: my husband and I walk with canes and there are no elevators, but we got help with our bags and only had a short flight of stairs to our room.

Gutes, sauberes und ruhiges Hotel ca. 15 min per Auto vom Flughafen Halifax entfernt. Top ist der gratis Shutle zum Airport. Das Hotel liegt nahe einer Autobahn und ist darum nur für einen kurzen Aufenthalt zu empfehlen. Zu beachten gilt, dass das Hotel auf der Strecke vom Flughafen in die Innenstadt von Halifax liegt. Vom Hotel sind es jedoch noch ca. 30 min mit dem Auto ins Zentrum. Das Hotel hat ein gutes Restaurant und am Morgen wurde uns gratis Cafe und Muffins angeboten, als wir sehr früh zum Flughafen gefahren wurden.
