Wonderful downtown location. Great rooms, friendly staff. Very nice, well prepared, hot breakfast with great selection was a welcome benefit. Best hotel breakfast quality and selection I've ever seen.

The fact that Downtown Montreal has lost its European aura, the buildings need renovation, the amount of street people and graffiti have increased is visually disappointing. However, this is about the hotel. Don't be fooled by the exterior of the building. I admit, we were afraid to go on the balcony.. Hehehe.. Other than that, excellent staff, service and location. The room was renovated with great taste and was super clean. The kitchen was fully functional and convenient. Also, the breakfast had a great selection and was really good. All in all it was a nice little getaway.

The hotel was nicely kept overall, the staff were friendly and helpful if you could find them. It was constantly difficult to reach anyone at reception whether by phone or in person. I felt as though the breakfast buffet was always in a rush to close and get everyone out as soon as 9:30am hit. As well, the parking was terrible! The ceiling was so low I had to bend forward at times so I don't hit my head. Parking was hard to find!! Many times we had to go all the way to the 7th level and with a minivan it wasn't easy to do! I feel like we should have definitely been warned about that. However, the rooms definately made up for the parking. They were beautiful, big and bright and very well-kept. I have to applaud the maid service here as they were friendly and accomodating. Overall the stay was ok, but I wouldn't come to this location again.

Until 2 o'clock in the morning my neighbours were talking, so I couldn't sleep, as you can hear each word and them going to the bathroom. The ventillation system is old and noisy. On the bright side: great location, not far from the heart of downtown. Free breakfast with lots of different foods. Free internet. Slow elevator, sometimes you wait for 10 minutes, and when it comes, it is full of people. Overall 3 out of 5.

We lived in Montreal for nearly two years and selected this hotel because of its location. Getting to this hotel is remarkably easy. The location is great as you can easily drive to your destinations or walk a block or two to the subway. The surrounding neighborhood was what you'd expect from an urban hotel (many people out, a few down-and-out folks in a nearby park on Ste Catherine), but since this hotel is on the western end of Ste Catherine, it was removed from the sketchy sights of nighttime street walkers, stripclub overflow, whacked-out junkies and intimidating punks that can be seen around the eastern end of Ste Catherine and the lower parts of St. Denis. The staff were all polite and helpful. The parking garage is limited to vehicles under 5'6" in height, and there is a parking surcharge.

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are very spacious. It's perfect for families. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a lot of variety. I would most definitely stay there again! Thank you!!

Very pleasant staff. This is not a luxury hotel but it was spotless and very well situated for our needs - 2 blocks from our offices!

very pleased with size of rooms and cleanliness.

Hotel was clean and well appointed and the staff could not have been nicer. We were there with our three children (aged 4 to 11) and had a great time.

Hotel was easy to get to and we were welcomed right away at the front desk! Rooms were clean, nice pool with great penthouse view, and always nice to have breakfast included! The rates are quite reasonable and we would stay there again.

The hotel was very nice-we loved our room. The staff went out of there way to be helpful; one woman in particular sending a card and a small gift to our room upon learning of my fiance's birthday. it was a short walk to plenty of food and shops. Thanks for everything...

staff were friendly and helpful but communication with each other could be better. Breakfast was wonderful both in taste and variety. Room was clean. Kitchen unit was fabulous to have. Only issue was the noise level of the heating/cooling unit.

Disapointed about height of indoor parking. we have a SUV and had to park 3 streets down the road at minus 24 degrees.

I read some reviews on this hotel before I stayed here, and I must say that some people are more critical than they should be! It is an older hotel, but not old enough to make it bad. Here's the breakdown and ratings of things that I see as important: Staff - 10 Cleanliness of room - 9 Bed comfort - 10+ Amenities - 9 Air Conditioning - 9 It is in a very convenient location, close to everything I needed. The staff were very accomodating and pleasant! I actualy stayed here two more nights, as my business was not completed in the time that I allowed, and I would stay here again any time!

I really enjoyed my experience there. The personal is very nice especially miss Karine. The rooms are clean and nice. The beds are very comfortable as well as the pillows and the sheets. The breakfast buffet is amazing. I loved it.

Everything is good except having some bad smell from the bathroom sometimes. and we should have queen bed in a room, finally was double bed.

We all enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel and the breakfast spread was phenomenal for the price. Underground parking but not for SUV's Overall great experience. Had a lot of services I will stay there again.

Charged for internet use regardless. Bed too firm. Noisy circulation fan. Excellent location and buffet breakfast. Very good value.

Not a single complaint about this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very clean rooms. We were upgraded to a one bedroom suite (no extra charge)with kitchen, just because they had one available! It was very comfortable and for the little extra money it would be, I would reserve the one bedroom next time.

It is nice to have a kitchenette so that you can eat like at home on a longer stay but Montreal has such great restaurants you are tempted to eat out all the time. Always enjoy going there.

Great location, great room, first time I stay in a hotel that comes with a fridge, stove and a microwave. It was a home away from home. The only minor issue I had with the hotel is the fact that I couldn't park my SUV in their parking garage because of the height. There is a place you can park a block away which I can imagine is easier to tolerate during the summer but harder to do on a cold January where only half of the street the hotel is on is plowed. In either case I will come back and would recommend this location.

This hotel was close to a mall, subway station and a 7-min walk away from the Canadian Center of Architecture so just being close to this place allows you to see a bunch of tourist attractions. The breakfast was great and varied - great way to start the day. Also the convenience of it set up like a studio apartment was like living in your own private space within a hotel. I personally would recommend staying here.

The hotel is in excellent condition. However, I could not park my SUV in the hotel underground parking lot due to a height restricitions. I had to park my vehicle two blocks away at the Montreal College parking lot, which is outdoor parking.

good price clean and good condition great breakfasts

I really loved this Hotel, my only problem was the extra $20 dollars a day for parking, a bit stif which makes the overall price not so great, however the staf was really friendly and helpful and the Hotel is in a great location.

Excelent quality and price.

I think it was great. I was looking for an in expensive place for 2 nights without sacrificing quality of comfort and this hotel didn't disappoint. Plus free breakfast that was delicious. Can't go wrong.

Bathtub would not drain properly. Bed was way too firm. Breakfast was great though.

Found this hotel conveniently located, but for the price, it could have been cleaner. Staff was friendly, and the breakfast buffet was ok. Parking was very expensive at ~$20/day.

This hotel is better for families who are not going to use balconies provided. Not in the greatest location. There is quite a distance that is needed to be traveled for the majority of locations.

Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. This hotel is located near all amenitys and a comfortable walk to St Catherines, where you can shop until you drop. Really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and loved visiting Montreal.

The hotel was clean, it had a fabulous breakfast area, but the quality of some of the renos left something to be desired. It appeared to us to be an old apartment building that had been converted to a hotel. It is very close to the Forum if you are a hockey fan. Less than a mile from Crescent St restaurants. Staff in hotel very polite and helpful. Thought it was overpriced even through a discount company. The suite had a/c but only in the living room, not the bed room where you need it. Strange.

We had this experience once before: our son with his wife and 3 children had a very nice stay in your hotel, enjoyed the pool and the breakfast also! We recommend this hotel for families!

Property is a little dated, but clean and reasonbly comfortable. Some renovations happening. Could use some softer mattresses . The staff were very friendly and helpful. Full buffet breakfast included in a very reasonable price was a big money saver. The food was somewhat plain, but acceptable, and there was plenty of choice and quantity. Location was convenient, within a 5 minute walk or less of subway stops on 2 different lines that will take you to all major points of interest. Mostly English part of town for those not comfortable in French, although most everyone in the service industry in Montreal is bilingual. Reasonable walk to Mont Royal and the Bell Centre if not too cold.
