The only problem I had was they said you have free wifi but I could never connect to the internet for the whole stay.

It's true you get what you pay for. This hotel is no exception. It is reasonably priced and you get a basic room. Bottom line, I would stay here again.

A good place to rest my head on a long trip from Florida back to Ontario Canada. The pool and hot tub were a great place to relax but they are showing their age...

The hotel description said there was an in-room coffee maker but there was not. Also there were only hot drink cups; no water glasses. Otherwise it was fine,

nothing fancy, but they have clean comfortable beds and the hotel is in easy to get to off the interstate. Needed a place to catch some z's on a 12 hour trip and it fit the bill. Decent price, I'll stay there again.

Front desk personnel very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The only complaint is that carpeting needs to be replaced it is showing its time. We stayed at this motel shortly after it was built some years ago and the service continues to be outstanding. Cannot beat the location and the price. True the rooms are somewhat small, but I came to vacation and see the area, not to vacation in a room. Too busy and did not get to use the pool or spa, however they both looked inviting and clean.

The outside of the hotel looked fine. Everything looked nice until we got into our room. Our bedding had cigarette burn holes and brown stains all over them. We got in late, so we just slept on the sheets and tried to ignore the filth. My wife's pillow had yellow stains with some crusty stuff around it...needless to say, it was pretty gross. The shower had mold growing around the ceiling. The bed was extremely hard. I like a firm bed, but this felt like you were sleeping on a hardwood floor. They also have a pet fee, which surprised us because our booking agent on the phone said there was no pet fee. We paid 3 figures to stay here, and it's definitely not worth it. The jacuzzi was cold as well. There seemed to be many more hotels off the exit I would definitely consider before this place.

We found this hotel through a travel site. Great price for our stay here during our visit to WV for Bridgeday. Nice restaurants surround the area and the pool and spa were clean. We would stay here again!

We were just stopping after dinner and headed out first thing in the morning so it is fine. If it was longer, I probably would not have liked it. We have 2 kids and there is not much room. My daughter did like the window seat! Lighting was odd, all on or off. Some mold on the wallpaper in the shower. Just ok.

This hotel looks really nice in the picture. The actual accomodations weren't that bad either. My issue was with the cleanliness. It wasn't. The halls smelled musty and the bathroom of the first room we were in was dirty and there were hairs everywhere. There were also some stains on the bedding. My husband asked for another room, which they gave us, but it wasn't much better than the first. For what you pay, I didn't feel it was really worth it, but I am very particular about cleanliness. It was in a good area though, close to restaurants and main roads. Not the worst stay I've ever had, but I wouldn't do it again.

Rooms were clean but very small there is no chairs to sit in you have to sit on the bed very unconfertable.

We were trying to pay as little as possible for a clean hotel for my family to stay in overnight on our way from Pittsburgh to Tennessee. Not sure we found it. While the beds seemed clean the lobby was scary with slipcovers over furniture and all of the carpeting in the hotel needs to be replaced, including in our room.

Very centrally located ,but I was not aware Microtel meant micro room .We had a single queen room that was big enough for the bed. The ad said the rooms came with refrigerator , coffee maker , none of which were there.The cost of the room was to much for the lack of amenities. The staff was very friendly though and the room was very neat.

The TV was out dated and did not even have a hook up for grandson's gaming system. Power outage from storm knocked out cable, phones and elevator. Cable was restored but no phone service nor elevator for the duration of our stay. Requested room on 1st floor or near elevator but got neither. Have spinal stenosis and cannot walk or do stairs well. Needless to say I had to climb the stairs since I was on the 2nd floor. Employees seemed unconcerned about anything and were chatting with each other if they were about. Was not offered any compensation for the loss of phone and elevator service. Probably would not stay there again nor would I recommend to anyone else.

A very bad storm took our our power at the hotel prior to check in. No TV and all the clocks were flashing. Other than that good stay.

The room was great and plenty roomy. The bathroom counter in our room was slightly damaged and needed minor repairs. The BIGGEST issue was that this hotel splits the smoking and non-smoking section on the same floor. However, we could crack the window and that seemed to keep the smoke smell out of the room.

Although I booked my room way in advance I got a handicapped room extremely close to the noisy pool area. When I asked to switch rooms I was told the only room they had left was a smoking room on the 3rd floor. Price of the room did not match the quality but if I had to I would stay again if no other hotels were available.

Microtel in Beckley WV was hidden behind a Holiday Inn & Country Inn-access not well signed.  The rooms were modest but good for one night. You get what you pay for.  The pool water was murky. Breakfast area was very small, about 100 ft sq. Only 3-4 tables. Breakfast was a choice of bagels and two types of cereal. Lots of choices to eat in the area and very close to the highway which was important to us.

decent hotel for the price. was right off the interstate and easy to get to. Lots of restaurants near by

Although this hotel is a hop, skip and a jump from Tamarack, West Virginia's state of the art collection of juried handcrafts, its not the cleanest motel in the area. It is convenient to restaurants but the fact remains it has a long way to go to match other hotel/motels in the area. My big dissapointment is that they cannot guarantee a non-smoking room even if requested.

The bathtub area for handicapped people is wonderful. Never have I seen others so thoroughly to handle handicapped needs. Can't recall the toilet but I would highly recommend the toilet with the higher seat for ALL bathrooms.

I had a pleasant stay. The room was clean and neat. The staff was friendly. There was a slight issue with some guests tracking mud into the lobby during my stay.

Every Microtel I have ever stayed in has been pleasant and this one was no exception. Clean, quiet room, Good bed, adequate continental breakfast - what more does one need in an overnight stop?

Great staff at desk clean rooms very sadisfied. Stayed the twice loved it both times.

Good location with plenty of resturant choices nearby. Hotel was clean, rooms seemed a little small, as did the queen size bed, but for an over night stay this hotel was great. Good deal for the price. Not much to choose from on the breakfast bar. Would have like to seen the pool open earlier sence there is not a exercise room. All in all would stay here again if traveling in the area.

Overall, a good experience. My only complaints would be the continental breakfast was very minimal and the wallpaper in the bathroom was peeling off the wall and made it look shabby. Everything else was good.

CHECK IN WAS FAST AND EASY. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND NEAT--A LITTLE SMALL BUT WAS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED.

We needed to be in Beckley for a funeral and found the Microtel. The price was right and the location was good, so we decided to go for it. We booked a queen and received a two-queen room. This did come in handy later when others in our group needed a place to stay. The desk had crumbs, petrified cheese bits, and other food particles all over it. We didn't complain because we were exhausted when we arrived that night and didn't see the mess until the morning. I do think that the woman who checked us in would have fixed it if she had known, but it concerned me that such a major oversight had occurred. I was worried what else may not have been cleaned, not just in our room, but throughout the hotel. On the positive side, the A/C worked fabulously and even chilled my notoriously difficult-to-cool husband.

Following is a copy of my TripAdvisor review: Overall, my stay at the Microtel was fine. I loved the window seat! The window opened and the view of the back area was actually pretty nice. The room had lots of storage and a good work space. The lighting in the work space was a little dim and the lighting above the bed was very bright. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room but there were some stains on the wall in that area- it looked like soda. The channel selection wasn't very good but I did a lot of reading sitting in the window seat. I enjoyed the pool area with whirlpool.
