Hilton Nottingham - نوتنغهام

That's not what I have expected from a 4 star HILTON hotel. Rooms are very old in bad condition, very small beds, large gaps between door and floor - you hear everybody, everybody hears you, had to put a towel to close the gap. After I complained I was upgraded twice, the size of the room and bed improved but that's it. Is this really Hilton all over the world - don't think so.

The room was small with no view which we understand the hotel can't help, however, the room was awful! There were holes and dark marks on the wall where a picture was missing and where the old bed and side table used to be. There was no water in the ro the furniture is old and bits missing. There was only a standard double bed in the room which I was very supeised at, however it was comfy. There was only 1/4 of a used toilet roll on the holders in the bathroom. The location was good. Just a shame about the room.

Great price and conventionally located! It's right in the middle of Nottingham city centre so no taxi trips needed if you are hitting the town! They do have a swimming pool which is a bonus but didn't get a chance to use it.

I had a horrible stay here at the hilton - firstly I didn't get any sleep due to the noise from upstairs and then from the heating being broken and the windows not opening. I chose this hotel so I could use the spa facilities the next day but for no reason these weren't open during my stay and when I complained to the manager she shrugged her shoulders and said 'it was one of those things' offering no compensation, not what I'd expect from a 4 star hotel!

Good location but disappointed with size of the room. We were booked into a compact double which we knew will be small but was smaller than a box.. Should have booked somewhere else!!!

This is hotel is in a good location in Nottngham. it is central for a good number of bars and restaurants. The hotel rooms are a little dated and are inneed of modification, but they are clean.

Excellent location, service, hangover-cure pool. Generally great!

I've stayed at this hotel before and been well satisfied, but on this occasion after going to see Status Quo at the Arena, and then walking back, we were less than amused to only have one drink before the shutters came down on the bar!! Do they not have a residents drinks policy, or were they just short of staff?? However, this blip will not stop me staying there, but I shall be making enquiries before setting out to another concert!!

The parking was hard to find, the room had been cleaned but there were broken items the toilet roll holder was broken, the shower tap was faulty, the bath was stained and also the room was such an awkward 'L' shaped lay out that you couldn't see the tv from the bed meaning we had to turn the tv right round and balance it on the unit to view it without us standing up

Small rooms and a bit basic. Excellent location and friendly staff.

Would not stay there again although the hotel is in a good city centre location and the staff were very pleasant but the room was not good, the paint was peeling off the ceiling there were stains on the carpet and the ceiling there decor was quite bad, the room was tiny, the tiles in the bathroom were cracked the window may as well have been boarded up and that would have been better as there was some sort of fence type thing covering most of it and the view of the roof with rubbish on it where you could see out was awful. I travelled with my daughter who is a teenager and didnt want me to make a fuss as we were only there for one night. The entrance area is fine buts thats it. I Have stayed in many Hiltons worldwide but do not recommend this one.

Having moved from a very shabby and dark room .We were put into a very average but clean large room.I believe the top floors have been refurbished.If i were to stay there again it would have to be in one of these rooms.The hotel overall is in need of a bright,make over .itis shabby and dim .The bar/breakfast area is however very pleasent as were the staff.

The HIlton is ideally located for exploring all areas of Nottingham. We booked this for the Firefest event at the nearby Rock City venue and it was perfectly located for this. The front desk staff are polite and efficient, the room is just OK, not at all to the level of what one would expect from a Hilton property and could certainly benefit from a refresh of paint and furnishings. The one BIG problem is room temperature control - the heating system was going Full-Blast all day long and made sleeping at night next to impossible - we had to have the windows fully opened in order to get any comfort. After much searching along baseboards we finally located and shut off the heat blasting into the room but since we only located this at about 5:30am we didn't enjoy a good night's rest. Book it for the location but pack a few ice-bags for your comfort!

We booked this hotel because of its proximity to the Nottingham Royal Centre as we were going to a concert there. There is a car park literally over the road, so no problems there. All the staff were extremely charming and nothing was too much trouble, even though we arrived early. Our room was on the top floor, and was extremely comfortable, clean, light and airy. We used the swimming pool but not the gym or spa, the pool area is perhaps a little 'tired', but we still enjoyed our time there. We used the restaurant before our concert and enjoyed our food very much, also we returned there later for a drink - again, all staff were great. Breakfast was amazing - I've never seen such a fantastic selection. We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked again for December when we are going to another concert. Definitely recommendable!!

When we arrived we thought that the limited parking would be a problem but the extremely helpful concierge offered us the best advice to help limit the cost of overnight parking. He even arranged for us to leave the car on the hotel forecourt the following day so that we could attend our son's graduation.His care and attention exceeded our expectation and i was only sorry that he had finished his shift on our return and so we could not thank him personally. The hotel was very welcoming and all staff were polite and attentive - thank you all for making our stay so pleasant!

Everyone was very helpful. The breakfast was excellent anyone going away hungry had themselves to blame.

We only really used the room for passing out after watching the cricket - but the overriding problem was that either the aircon wasnt working - or there is no aircon. The room was very muggy and hot and since they must have realised this - they left the window open which only meant it was very noisy in the morning. Other than that it was fine. I was in 117 facing the front. Condition and services though were Hilton standard. Complimentary wine and water helped!

What you'd expect from a 4star hotel, but the concierges made all the difference - knowledgable, keen and funny.

The Hilton Hotel enjoys excelent location in the heart of Nottingham. This was my third stay at this hotel. On this occasion for my daughter's graduation from Nottingham Trent University which took place just 3 minutes away from the hotel. The room was just ok and outside of the only window there were all the ducts for the heating/air-conditioning system, not a pritty sight. The only meal I had at the hotel was the buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. The smoked salmon was delicious! If I ever visit Nottingham again I might consider staying at this hotel again.

Great location in the heart of shopping, eating and entertainment. Communal areas were well presented with helpfull friendly staff always on hand. Rooms quite basic and oddly laid out which made them a littel uncomfortable (i.e. TV in very far left of room no seating, and strange angle to bed). Age of building doesn't help, but very creaky noisey sounds from room above, but other than that little noise around the hotel. Found room very clean. Would definately return as it was good value for money.

£20 per night to Park!!! Rooms basic. I have stayed in many Hilton hotels. This is poorest

They opened a new restraunt and it was a total mare, 20 minute queue to get in, not food at the beffet, tables filthy and staff generally running about like headless chickens. Very very annoying. The hotel had been fully booked for weeks due to an event and still they were surprised by a busy saturday morning breakfast run.

Very friendly staff when we arrived. Room was quite spacious and had everything we needed. We enjoyed the indoor pool and breakfast was very nice! The restaurant was under construction but it didn't really effect us. Drinks at the bar were the most expensive i've ever seen though. £5.10 for one shot of glenfiddich!

Good city centre location & everything you'd expect from a Hilton BUT don't consider driving here - you can't easily get near the hotel by road. There are a number of car parks nearby - but you need to watch the rates carefully - the one I chose (The Victoria Centre) was £3.50 for the night but that rose to £15.00 if you exited after 7am!

Parking is very difficult and impossible with my Van. The room was very small, not very clean and generally needs updating. Room service was very expensive for a hotel of this rather poor quality. Restaurant was closed for refurbishment. I wouldn't say here again.... On the plus side, the bed was comfortable.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend, and to be honest I thought it was a lovely hotel, very clean, very helpful staff, the breakfasts were tasty and it's located right at the heart of Nottingham so within walking distance from everywhere. If I had one complaint it would be the lack of free wi-fi, maybe it's just me but I would expect free wi-fi when I stay at a hotel. I asked the receptionist and she said that it is available, for £15/day which is a bit crazy. If it was £15 for my stay I might have considered it, but it really should be free, as in most modern hotels.

So, apart from being in the centre of town there is nothing Hilton about this hotel. The name seems to mean little nowadays which is a shame. The staff were friendly and changed my room when I complained it was unsuitable, and although the next room was a little better it still left a lot to be desired. It was on floor 6 (only accessed via stairs) and again down some corridors. It smelt weird, and was totally impersonal in its appearance. It was so noisy at midnight that shouts woke me up (and I was on the 6th floor!) The breakfast was OK, but again in a weird meeting room that looked like a make-shift breakfast room with no windows and no atmosphere. Enough of the rant, but honestly Holiday Inn is way better--how did this happen?

this hotel was great for a stopover!we used it as we had tickets to watch a band at rock city and this is so close to everything.the pool was gorgeous and breakfast was great...we didnt get up til late,so didnt expect there to be much fresh stuff left,but the chef was still bringing it out!!room was lovely if a little on the small side...but it was perfect!!would really recommend this hotel....we will be stopping again!!oh...the only thing i would say is the parking was a bit of a hassle to find until the girl on reception pointed us in the right direction....turns out its directly opposite,but well hidden!!!

holes in pillow cases, stain on bedding, very noisy floor bourds, bulbs out in bathroom, hairs in bath and basin, extractor fan not working, expensive parking. window banging with the wind, disapointed with the room expected better with it being the hilton. good location with freindly staff and the breakfast was excellant!

Think twice before you book this hotel, because if you book it based on this hotel chain's reputation alone you might be in for a shock. Your room's view is likely to be a scabby wall, and there is no air conditioning, even at breakfast. And if you don't go early for breakfastthere's no point. On the other hand though the concierge is helpful. HOWEVER parking for the weekend can be steep in terms of prices. So once again, think twice.

As a disabled guest this hotel offerred excellent facilities. Staff were very helpful. Although a buffet the breakfast was a high standard and eggs were cooked fresh. Convenient to shops and restaurants, The building is old, but this gives character. Living well club is high standard.

Excellent hotel - Great location to explore Nottingham. Lovely breakfast everything you could think of on it. Will defiently recomend and would stay there again.

Booked a night away to the Hilton Hotel to celebrate my partners birthday. Was very impressed from arrival with all the staff- bar staff and reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We took advantage of the facilities and used the pool area- which was great. Plenty of room and all areas were clean. Please remember to take £1 with you for the lockers though! I paid an upgrade fee for a deluxe room, but was disappointed with this. Room was small, dressing gowns were childrens size and overall, did not see what i had paid extra for. Breakfast in the morning was excellent- great choice of food- even an omelette station, with a very friendly chef! Again, exceptional staff on hand with freeflowing orange juice and coffee! Overall a very pleasant stay- would recommend to anyone!

Very disapointed with the room. 1. The shower was unusable as the mixer tap was faulty and unable to deliver water to the shower head .Not noticed until the following morning. 2. The right side bed light was not working which was very inconveinient, especially when required in the middle of the night.

Very happy with the hotel, the staff were very nice and accomaditing. central location, everything is within walking distance. The only drawback was the car park was expensive, there should be a discount for hotel users.

The Hilton has an excellent location for reaching the city centre shops & restaurants, right next door to John Lewis. High calibre staff throughout, good attention to detail. Excellent breakfast buffet - well worth having, a really good standard with fresh, interesting food on offer. The rooms are not large, but this hotel is bang in the centre, so floor space is at a premium. It was fine for a short stay, with very comfortable beds and well fitted bathrooms. The concierge staff were very helpful and characterful and gave us a great welcome to the hotel. We arrived by car and parked in the Metro car park which has a good deal on parking (better than the adjacent one to the hotel).

I booked this hotel direct via Hilton back in January, and then found the booking approx. £100 cheaper (for a 4 night stay), on Hotels.com a couple of months later. Well worth cancelling and rebooking via Hotels.com! The Hotel was of the typical standard you would expect for a 4 * City Centre venue. Rooms were of a decent size, clean and comfortable. The location for Nottingham City Centre could not have been better. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable for us tourists! Nice leisure facilities, including a decent sized pool. Though the Jacuzzi was a little chilly as attached to the main pool! Only bad-point was that the decor was perhaps slighty dated. Overall, was perfect for a long-weekend stay and I would defnitely recommend it.

All the staff at this hotel were wonderful and most helpful during our four-day stay. I always thought that there wasn't anywhere to equal the breakfast at the Melbourne Hylton but this one was just as good. Thank you!

I booked 2 rooms for my 40th birthday celebrations on Sat 22 Aug 2009. The triple was great had a double and single bed and was very spacious. The delux double was quite small and toilet did not work properly. This was sorted out quickly and a new twin room offered (which was much better). The staff were very friendly - brought up ice buckets to room, let us arrange late check out, leisure staff gave us towels. Breakfast very nice - lots of choice. I would certianly recommend this hotel - location is excellent. Only negatives are; bar prices and no free parking.

my wife and I have lived in nottingham all our lives (over 50 years)and have never stayed over in a hotel.After seeing a show I decided to stay over at the Hilton hotel on milton street having got a good online deal from hotels.com.I can say it was worth waiting!The service was excellent with fast check in and out.Hotel clean and well furbished,small but very nice room and we slept very well.The only complaint we had was the bar prices (typical hotel ripoff why do they charge extortionate prices)but with so many bars etc in nottm,we only indulged in a nightcap and would recommend everybody else to do the same.

got a great price for this hotel which is slap bang in the middle of nottingham but an oasis of calm. room was a very nice size with a great shower, and the use of the fitness centre was an added bonus. really enjoyed the stay here, only downside for me would be the bar staff were quite slow in serving when there was a crowd and didn't seem able to cope with that.
