I reserved two double bed room and when I checked in the hotel gave me one bed with a pull out couch. According to the hotel manager, a pull out couch counts as a second bed. Hotel.com provided fantastic customer service and dealt with the hotel directly (I ended up getting a full refund). Institutional linens, uncomfortable bed, scratchy towels. Decor and bedding feels like hotel is stuck in the 80s. I guess because of their central location they don't have to try too hard.

We stayed on 4/9/12, overall a very good hotel, clean and comfortable would stay here again. Highly recomended.

While the convenience of the hotel's location was awesome, the beds were somewhat old and uncomfortable. The wi-fi connection was horrible but my wife and I were staying only one night. I would recommend looking into others options, as there are plenty other accommodations nearby.

Very nice facility to be a historical landmark. Staff was very hepful and the location downtown is great.

lovely hotel & location can walk to many good restaurants *& Some historical bldgs

The location was fabulous, right at the center of town. The room was spacious with a gas fire place and a very nice view of the town circle but was in need of some updating. The bathroom was older with a feeling of uncleanliness even it was clean. Old tube TV and walls needed a paint job. The pub in the hotel lobby was about the best attribute, very cozy and friendly

Overall experience was great. BUT our phone did not work and no one was at the front desk on multiple occasions which was inconvenient for us since we could not easily call the front desk from our room.

First of all the hotel was beautiful, the staff helpful, and the loction was great. It is centered where you can find something for everyone. Be that going to local antique shops and local gallaries, to seeing battlefield monuments, or having a good time out at night. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

Perfect Location --- accommodations were very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at Best Western plus Gettysburg on the 17th Oct. Travelled from New Hampshire (whilst on holidays from Australia) to visit Gettysburg. Great location, friendly staff. Loved the adjoining tavern. The Caseys Australia

Located right on Lincoln Square in the heart of town, this hotel has everything: excellent service, very comfortable rooms, restaurant and bar, indoor parking. I have stayed here many times and have always found the staff to be friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. the food in the restaurant is not exciting, but it is probably superior to any other restaurant in town (Gettysburg is not a mecca of fine dining).

I left my jewelry in the nightstand upon checking out. I called two days later to inquire about it. I thought for sure my jewelry would be gone but the housekeeper found the box the handed it in to the lost and found. Needless to say I was esctatic and happy. There are still honest people in this world. I would definitely say at this hotel again. Very impressed all around.

The staff was not very friendly. The room was huge and nice. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub which would have been nice but was disgustingly dirty.

Be prepared to pay for parking. The garage isn't connected to the hotel. Our room didn't have any view. Breakfast was around $10 per person (not included). Loading and unloading luggage was a challenge. Giant bug was found in the bathroom. Had to jiggle the TV plug to make it come on. TV was an old tube TV. Front desk was out of auto tour CD's of the battlefield. You could get a better room with better amenities further out of town. Also, look at the neighbood to make sure the shops around Lincoln Square are the shops you want to visit. I wish we had stayed on the corner of Steinwehr and Baltimore because it would have been closer to the things we were interested in (Jenny Wade house, Wax museum, ghost tours, horse carriage rides, that pizza place on the corner of Washington, etc).

The hotel staff was very helpful. The building was beautiful. Located in the downtown area close to many attractions. The hotel was well kept and the room was beautiful. Food was good and the service in the bar room was great. Highly recommended.

We liked the hotel a lot. Right in the square so walking convenient to everything. Rooms were larger than expected. Could use a bit of updating but the service was nice, the rooms were clean, the bathrooms and amenities were great and we had a very nice stay. I would definitely return there. Thank you staff!

The location was walking distance to many places. We liked having parking close by. Coffee in the lobby each morning was great. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The Hotel Gettysburg was charming, super clean, and right in the middle of town. Parking was easy, and the staff was lovely. I called for a rollaway bed and I swear within 45 seconds somebody was knocking on my door to deliver it. Breakfast at Cafe Amand down Baltimore Street was amazing. We will definitely stay there again.

first we got there and our rom was not ready. we waited another 30 min until we got another room. it was suppose to be an upgraded executive room , but the window was 8 ft up and you could not see anything but a wall. the mattress needed to be spun around and flipped, so we did it ourselves. other than that it was very clean, would stay again but I want a window. It was close to food,shops & museums. Bob & Anne

This hotel is situation in the main square of gettysburg. It has a long history. Union geberals stayed there during the civil war. Absolutely gorgeous. Great restaurant.

shower pressure was very weak

This hotel is all about location, location. Rooms linens were a bit dated. Room was very large but mine was located right next to the soda and ice machine so a bit noisy and due to the age of hotel you could hear the shower from the room above. But overall a pleasant stay.

The room was very nice and clean. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The tavern offered a wide selection of food and beer.

We've stayed here many times. We come up after Christmas and wih the square decorated it is like a small Christmas village. A nice pub on the attached first floor. The staff u=is very friendly and cooperative and the rooms soptless. Not the cheapest but you get what you pay for!

Only stayed one night, but am planning to return for a longer stay. We were on the 6th floor overlooking the square. It was two weeks before Christmas and there was a giant Christmas tree in the square. So beautiful!

We were in town for the Remembrance Day Parade weekend. We stayed at the Hotel for the three nights. The Hotel is in an excellent location with historical sites within walking distance. We had a room with a king size bed that faced the parking garage behind the building. Though our room was clean the floor was stained with what appeared to be spilled coffee. In the bathroom there was hair dye staining in the shower, walls and door. The rooms definitely needs some updating. I highly recommend the diner around the corner instead the Hotel breakfast buffet which was poor and over priced. The Hotel restaurant serves decent food at a reasonable price. Other than the few minor complaints we enjoyed our stay In Gettysburg at the Best Western Hotel.
