This hotel seems to have had a glorious past - it has a very large and grand sitting-room on the ground floor, for example, which is free to be used by guests. Now it also gets many tourists who have found it on the internet... Notes: - Parking is available at the parking garage next door, this costs EUR19.50 for hotel guests for 24 hours. - Yes, the upper rooms on the front of the hotel have a grand view of the Palacio Real - bear in mind that they also have significant road noise from the busy avenue below. This is a city-centre hotel. - Internet in the rooms is free

A good hotel overall... The location is more than adequate (5 minutes from the royal palace) Great service, very reliable recommendations for restaurants and places to see nearby, help with booking. The one misleading thing on their site is the "in-room wifi". There is no in-room wi-fi in half of the rooms, and the room you get is your own personal luck...

This hotel has a great position. It's close to turists sights and bus/ metro station. The rooms are small.Pros: location. Cons: our room didn't have internet access.

Hotel Concierge was not entirely pleasant, but not rude either, just a little standoff-ish. Housekeeper the first day was rude. We told her we did not need housekeeping/new towels for the second day, as there was only two of us and four towels. She said OK, then we came back that evening to find no towels at all in our room...she had come in and removed them and didn't replace them. Housekeeper that we met the second day was very sweet. Overall not a horrible experience but if you have the option I would consider somewhere closer to the center (about 15-20 minutes walk here) and friendlier.

I really liked the location as it was close to all the tourist attractions. I could step outside and be in the heart of everything in less than a couple of minutes walking. But the hotel was run down. My room had a foul smell and the carpet was disgusting. The hotel staff was nice but they were constantly overwhelmed and it took a while to get service on occasion. I would still recommend the hotel if you want to save money and be close to the action though.

Room was fine, desk staff pretty unwelcoming. Bathroom could have done with a better clean - other peoples body hair around the toilet a bit off putting. Otherwise handy to Plaza de espana metro, and Principe pio.

We picked this hotel for a quick overnight stay, and wanted to be close to some sights and shopping area. The hotel was OK, parking just nearby, easy to find. The shopping streets and some sights was just nearby.

Trés bien. mais à recommander aux sels amoureux pour les chambres "matrimonio": le lit est en 120! Mais vue sur le palais royal.

Cerca de la plaza españa y del palacio real, desde la habitación incluso llga el wifi de los jardines de Sabatini. Todos los empleados me trataron amablemente, lo cual no ha sucedido en otros hoteles en los que me he hospedado en España. Punto en contra es el wifi, he estado en 3 habitaciones en este hotel , en 1 me funcionó el wifi en las otras no, en la recepción me dijeron que el wifi solo llega en las habitaciones del centro.

Bien ubicado, limpio y precio justo.

Hotellet säger sig erbjuda trådlöst Internet på rummen, men detta fungerade mycket dåligt. Välj inte detta hotell ifall Internet på rummet är viktigt.

They absolutely went above and beyond, and took care of anything and eveyrthing we asked. Also, the receptionist and concierges spoke English. We were so pleased with this hotel that we tried to switch a later reservation somewhere else in order to stay at Principe Pio again. Also, this hotel is an excellent compromise between price and location.

gode rumlige værelser. God betjening og centralt beliggende. God standard til prisen.

A localização é muito boa, o hotel está precisando e já estão fazendo obras. O café da manhã é que eu não gostei, achei fraco. O atendimento é otimo, todos os funcionários são muito prestativos.

Satisfactory hotel with very friendly staff. The hotel is about intill the royal palace, and from some of the rooms are lovely views. Only this is worth gold. When it comes to service in the room is excellent. Near the town center hotel, about 8 euro taxi with the two Serrano Street. As regards the standard of the hotel there is a need for some maintenance. Some one should be particularly aware of is that it is inconceivable hard beds at the hotel. Ask for a soft bed! Like sleeping on wooden planks. Overall, the hotel is an okay hotel if you do not require a very high standard

Nebst der mir gegenüber unfreundlich aufgefallenen Receptionistin beim Check-In und dem äusserst unfreundlichen Receptionisten beim Check-Out sind mir grundsätzlich keine negativen Punkte aufgefallen. Die Zimmerreinigung ist sehr gut.

Jeg hadde bestilte et kort opphold på Hotel Principe Pio som fra nå av blir forkortet til PP da jeg bestemte meg i siste liten for å reise ned for å se på El Clasico som er mellom Real Madrid og Barcelona for de av dere som ikke vet det. Dette var en av den beste opplevelsen jeg har hatt på lenge! Jeg hadde ikke forventet at hotellet skulle være så bra som det var! Hotellet var billig og det eneste jeg hadde forventet meg var at det ikke skulle være helt elendig hotell noe som det ikke var. Hotellet var meget fint. De hadde tilogmed GRATIS WLAN vel og merke ikke på rommet. Betjeningen var kjempebra! Nattevakten var hyggelig når jeg kom sent hjem. Folka som sto bak "disken" hjalp meg med å printe ut flybillettene mine noe i mine øyner er et stort pluss! Samt at de tilbydde seg å passe på bagasjen min den siste tiden etter innsjekking!

chambre propre, sur l'arrière donc aucun bruit, situation proche du palais royal et du métro, personnel accueillant et parlant français, parking avec tarif préférentiel à côté. aspect extérieur un peu vieillot mais intérieur impécable.
