Quality Hotel Stoke - ستوك أون ترينت

The hotel was ok.However the food was rather bland and uninspiring. I would recomend that a restraunt was sought for eating elsewhere and dont bother with the breakfast

The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the city centre and the regent theatre...ideal.

As expected apart from 1/ I booked and paid for 3 upgraded rooms but only received 1 upgraded room and 2 standard rooms 2/ On returning from a meal at night we were met with a large grooup of teenages at the front door that were attending an 18th birthday party at the hotel that were heavily drunk with several of them being sick outside the front door - not nice especially for the ladies in out party

Firstly to even get into my room I had to squeeze past the wardrobe which had been placed so close to the door it was blocking half the entrance! Once in the room, the cold hit me. I looked for a radiator/ heating but This was non-existent(!). The furniture looked liked it had been handed down from an old peoples home, and even my great grandma has a more up-to-date TV than the one in the room. I thought I would have a shower (of course no toiletries provided). Now, I'm not the tallest of girls at around 5"2, but the towel provided barely covered my upper half. Not exactly helpful. I also had to put my shoes back on before going out into the stained floored room. Ok, so time to sleep; on my double bed lay a sad looking duvet and two prison pillow. The duvet was actually quite warm, but the pillows were, well, like I would imagine prison pillows to be like. Wow, so a terrible room to stay in, surely the restaurant will be better? I didn't have high hopes. As I made my way to the restaurant, checking out (horrah!) quickly in the process, I pulled out my breakfast 'voucher' and looked forward to the delights awaiting me. Well, I won't go into much details but lets just say a morgue would've had more atmosphere and cheeriness than this place! The food was OK but no tea or coffee was offered (surely a vital element of breakfast?) and there wasn't exactly the biggest choice of food. All in all, this hotel was anything but quality, and you would have to pay me to return!

The Hotel was ok but it is not really stoke it is Hanley. Nothing was really open late for food and this was a Friday night

On arrival i was on top floor, and lift wasn't working. Went to the gym/pool and showers were out of action due to re-tiling works. Went to restaurant and menu was completely different form the one displayed all around the hotel. To be fair, the rooms were spacious and clean and generally the hotel was of a good standard, so don't know if i just had a bad experience?

Room wasn't clean, TV didn't work, shower was broken. Other than that, it was fine

Hotel has great location. Close to shops, casino, bus station. Not too close to railway station though. I heard its close to waterpark too. Rooms were clean and cozy. Swimming pool,steam and sauna we heard were therr but we didnt have occasion to use it. We were quite happy with the hotel.

Made me feel like home++++++

Arrived quite late met with warm welcome. Comfortable quiet room. Lovely lay in, checked out all went without a hitch. Decided against breakfast, would have like offer of continental breakfast in room. We will definitely use again and again. Thank you

My Room was over the function room, It was to loud and noisy because of the Disco that night, I Couldn't get to sleep and was up at 5am to go to work.

The management are clearly spending a lot of time, money and effort bringing the rooms up to date but it's very hit and miss. For example, whilst the room I was allocated this time had been refreshed the shower was almost impossible to get to the correct temperature and wasn't much more than a fast drizzle (and this doesn't seem to be uncommon here so I'd make a point of checking it before unpacking. The wall mounted electric heater didn't work (resolved with a stand alone heater). The restaurant has been closed for close to three weeks now with no indication as to why and the car park was left in 3 inches of hard packed snow and ice which was incredibily difficult and dangerous to cross. However, the staff are very hard working and pleasant and you get the impression that nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are generally clean, warm and comfortable and at least room service and a bar menu (one and the same actually) are available.

Friendly staff in a hotel close to the town centre. Wasnt expecting anything fancy and it wasnt. Hotel obviouslybeing refurbished, which is a bonus, but the building is still old, so you the task is mamouth. Windows held open with mugs, dreadful mattresses and newly refurbished bathrooms, where toilets are not even fitted to the wall. However the staff were friendly and we still enjoyed our stay.

Good friendly service, good size room. Nice little gym and pool. Ideal for the pubs, clubs and restaurants. I will be staying again.

Stay here if all you care about is sleeping in a clean room. That's all we needed it for so it was fine for us but if you are going away for a "special" weekend you should definitely stay somewhere better. Quality is not a word I would use to describe it. On a plus side, the staff were all friendly and very helpful.

The room and Hallways leading to the room smelled terrible, like that of rotting food or corpses. The mattress in the room was filthy, ages old.

No hot water. Loud music all night and really rubbish service.

I stayed here while visiting Alton Towers and the buses from the hotel to the park were excellent.Overall appeal of the inside of the hotel was excellent, it was well maintained and the staff provided all information needed to ensure our stay was satisfactory.

only problem we had was on arrival, we booked four months in advance and I called to confirm the booking as we were arriving late. However on arrival our booking showed on their system as a single, this was not rectified at the desk and I was sent with my son to this single room we then had to wait at the desk for 40 mins until they checked that the double room they had available was clean

Rooms could do with bit of updating good swimming pool and gym and good to have free parking. The service could have been more friendly but it is a very busy hotel. There are noise issues from function rooms if you happen to stay when they are being used try to avoid room 217 if you don't want noise from disco until 1am

the staff were excellent very helpful and friendly room a little tired but clean and comfortable

Not particularly polite staff on check in. Had to ask to change rooms as it seems rooms on 3rd floor have not been updated in a long long time. 2nd room on second floor was a bit better but very small and basic and not very clean, Hairs in bathroom made me feel sick. Wanted to listen to the radio on the tv like you can in all hotels now but was told that they just have the 5 tv channels, not even freeview. Oh and to top it all off a cleaner entered our room without knocking in the morning and woke us up. Who ever owns this hotel needs to spend a night in it I think.

We stayed here 2 nights as it was close to Alton Towers and had a gym and pool. We did enjoy our stay and it was a good hotel. Downside was there was only one bath towel in room and you were supposed to use towels from room for they pool/gym. We didn't bring any down, but the attendant there did get some for us. We stayed in a deluxe room, it was nice and spacious, but not as pictured. We were happy to stay here even with the few down sides, and would stay again.

While lobby TV units offers CNN and other sports channels, these channels are not available in the rooms. Good location close to shops, restaurants and Banks

Managed to get this hotel really cheap because it was a Sunday and probably close to Christmas. The room was clean and warm. The floor boards creak terribly but then I don't suppose you can expect them not to considering how old the hotel must be. In comparison to other more modern hotels the rooms could do with updating. When booking this hotel it stated that it was a deluxe room. Not sure what that meant as it seemed pretty standard. I would definitely recommend it but I know I probably wouldn't want to pay full price.

The room was we had was supposed to be deluxe. The room heating wasnt working and a small electrical heater was left in the room. The shower did not work properly and the water literally came out at a trickle and was only just about warm enough. The bath was a jacuzzi bath and did not work. The view from the window was over a derelict area of land and on the steps to the health club there were several homless people

We stayed in this hotel for 1 night Sat 19/11/11 to visit our son who lives in Stoke, ok if you a party animal due to the unstoppable noise from the turn out of all the clubs and bars 100 yards away, we were kept awake till 5 am in the morning. Ok i suppose if you frequent the clubs. The hotel is self is a little bit dated the rooms are stuck in the 1930s the furniture reflects this. You cannot turn off the heating in the room so beware, asked at reception and all they could offer was a fan, so wont be going back any time soon.

We purchased a room on the basis of the images published on their website ie we thought the rooms had been refurbished. However, the room we were allocated was shocking, dark and musty smelling with a broken cot we did not request. Also it was reached via so many stiff fire doors that we struggled with our luggage and my partner was also hit in the face by a door. We complained and were allocated another room in the ground floor extension which was a little better. However, the TV was not working correctly, We went to Reception and were told to put it on Channel 6, that made no difference at all. The remote did not work so we changed channels manually, and did not have the access to cable TV or pay for view films as advertised on the site. In addition there was only one electrical plug working in the room, no heating and none of the lampshades fitted the lamps. Although staying as a couple there was only one bath towel and hand towel - we shared as we could not face complaining further. Breakfast was adequate but poorly laid out so the guests were constantly getting in each others way.

Probably the worst organised breakfast I have experienced. At a self service bar there was a long wait for eggs, which had run out - then there was no toast and no sign of hash browns - so just sausages and a few rashers of bacon. Toast seemed in short supply and when that arrived there was no butter. A ridiculously long wait for the butter - meanwhile staff were clearing table rather than getting butter. 5 people waiting for butter when 3 plates arrived with just a tiny portion on each plate. Laughable! Oh and then the hash browns arrived! All in all not worth the nearly £8 per breakfast.

If you want a hotel that is walking distance to Victoria Hall and you are staying for 1 night, this is perfect. The bathroom was clean but poor water pressure, the bed was uncomfortable, the floor squeaked, the furniture was dated - but for 1 night it was good from a pure location perspective. Didn't bother with breakfast, drove 5 miles to Trentham Gardens to Frankie & Benny's. Would we stay again, yes for 1 night for a concert in Stoke

Not too bad overall, easy to find, nice staff, average food, dated rooms. Fine for a short stay.

We often have weekend breaks away at hotels all over the country. We booked this hotel as we needed somewhere to stay, near Alton Towers. For that this hotel fitted the hotel perfectly. It was not far off the motorway and a simple 30 mins from the park. However our room was dirty. It smelt foisty. The windows looked ready to collapse at any point. Although the radiators were not on it was like a sauna. As for the bathroom there was only enough towels for one, although we had booked a room for two. And the shower offered less than a trickle in power. The room needed updating with the fryaid carpet. Amoungst a few other bits, it honestly made it the worst hotel we ever stayed in. We were not expecting a palace, but somewhere clean with a decent bathroom facilities is all we asked.

The one complaint I have about this hotel is the water pressure in the shower is very low.

Badly in need of makeover. Rooms very small. Very noisy. Breakfast was very good but it couldn't save the hotel as a whole.

I booked this hotel as not only did we get a good price, the pool, sauna and gym and free carparking appealed to me, and Alton Towers was not far away! But after reading some reviews i was doubting my choice of hotels, however i must say you shouldnt really take the negative reviews for not booking this hotel, as i was really suprised and very pleased. We did have a problem booking in, as they had over booked. After insisting that i paid to stay in this hotel for the facilites, the manager managed to find us a room. (we were not the only couple). The room was clean, and the bathroom was huge! As a couple though i didnt really expect to be sleeping on single beds pushed together, but that was easliy rectifed by moving the matresses so we didnt slip down the middle! I would say this was my only issue. The hotel was clean, tidy and very well presented. Even though this hotel was minutes away from the town centre, you could not here any noise we were there mid week, and in the half term break, but not many families were there - well we didnt see or hear any unruly children! If you like a flutter at a casino, you have 2 5 mins walk from the hotel, which are really nice. The pool was very clean, tidy and well maintained, and the changing rooms were clean too. We chose not to eat in the hotel resturant, as nothing took my fancy, however as being in the town centre we had plenty to choose from - found a lovely american diner (must be visited!!) and a swish italian. I am planning a group visit to Alton Towers again, and i will definately be booking this hotel to stay in, however I will be calling the day before to ensure they have not given my room away!

Helt ok hotell, man får vad man betalar för. Det bästa med hotellet är att det ligger centralt i Stoke, nära mataffärer, restauranger, och shopping

Trevligt och väldigt centralt hotell. Stora rum. Bra frukost. Gratis Wi-fi. Dock vissa problem med tillgången på varmvatten.

Jeg bookede en overnatning på Best Quality Hotel Stoke i forbindelse med en jobsamtale. Hotellet er af ældre dato og det kan ses, men ikke i en grad at det ser nedslidt og forsømt ud. Gulvtæppet på mit værelse var tydeligt slidt (havde lidt ”huller” hist og her), men var også rent. Sengetøjet havde den dejlige knasende følelse af nyvasket sengetøj. Det eneste problem var det kolde brusebad jeg måtte tage om morgenen - jeg gjorde dog opmærksom på det til stuepigerne, som ville kontakte vedligehold og få det fikset. Det er et ældre hotel, så forvent ikke forhold a la luksushoteller, men det er godt efter standarderne. Der er en udmærket restaurant i kælderen (i det mindste hvad angår morgenmad), hvor man kan købe morgenmadsbuffet hvis ikke man har bestilt det med værelset. Der er tale om Full English Breakfast i buffetform med tilhørende morgenmadsprodukter (cornflakes o.lign.). Personalet var venligt og hjælpsomt og det var muligt at opbevare bagage sikkert efter check ud og at vente på min taxa i lobbyen den sidste 1½ time inden jeg blev hentet. Hotellet ligger ikke langt fra Hanleys handelsområde hvor der er masser at se, shoppe og spise. Alt i alt et rigtig godt ophold – især hvis man er vant til Londons budgethoteller – som jeg sagtens kunne finde på at gøre igen over en længere periode end en overnatning.

Eg har vore her flere ganger før. Hotellet trenger en oppussing. Men det er trivelig betjening og god frokost. Trimrommet er førsteklasses. Beliggenheten er helt perfekt for mitt opphold i Stoke.

Hadde lite forventninger men fant at hotellet holdt helt grei standard. Hadde bestilt "deluxe dobbeltrom" selv om jeg var bare en person men fikk en lite og trangt enkeltrom uten utsikt. Gadd ikke forfølge dette da hotellet denne helgen var smekkfult. Prisen var heller ikke høy. Må betale for frokost, men helt grei sådan i hotellets restaurant i kjelleren.
