While the hotel accommodations were satisfactory, there was so much activity and noise in the parking lot that we were awakened through the night. We worried about possible effects to our car in the parking lot and went to check, but found there were police patrols through the night. While this gave me a sense of security, I wonder a bit about a situation in which the police have learned to patrol regularly at night.

Everything was good except not enogh blankets it was cold.

Second time to stay here. No problems with room or service at counter. Would use this hotel again when in this area.

We stayed here on the way back from snowboarding at Kirkwood and had a king room with a fireplace. Room was nicer than expected, clean and comfortable. Conveniently located with food options nearby in historic downtown Jackson. Breakfast didn't look too appealing but just go to the Denny's right next door and get a 15% discount as a hotel guest!

We arrived 1/2 hr early for check in and asked if we could check in now. They said they were full last night and have not been able to clean all the rooms. She asked us to come back in a half hour. Well we could understand that, and went sight seeing. We returned an hour and a half later insuring they had plenty of time to clean a room for us. They asked us if we could come back in another half hour at which time we informed them that we gave them an hour and a half earlier. She started looking for a room for us. While the other clerk checked in three customers in her line without any problems, we were still waiting for her to return from checking a room. Very frustrating. Other then that incident, everything was OK. The free buffet breakfast was OK, but really nothing special.

the staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and adequate, I will stay here whenever I go to Jackson. Oh and fresh boiled eggs on the breakfast.. Yummy

Expensive for the quality of the place . sheets could use changing LOL!!! the morning breakfast was really good.

We had a great stay in Jackson at Best Western. Our room had a fireplace which was very nice. The hotel had a simple but nice breakfast, comfortable beds, and plenty of hot water. It is located very close to downtown. If you like to walk, go to the end of the parking lot and there is an opening to the street which leads to downtown. We had a delicious pasta dinner at Thom's with live music. I will plan to go again.

Overnite stay for golf trip. Rooms were clean and hotel staff was excellent. For the cost per room would use this hotel again.

I've visited here 4 times, 3 with fireplace rooms. Wonderful ambiance. My only complaint is the last time I stayed in December 2011, the weather was cold and the beds had very thin cotton bed covers instead of their usual bedspreads. Also the heater is so noisy it keeps me awake, which is why I like the fireplace. But without proper bedspreads, I was kept awake anyway with the cold. So it could have been a better experience if housekeeping kept the cold weather in mind for their guests.

They staff was great. The room was GREAT!!!!! Had a fireplace, microwave, coffee pot & refrigerator. I could not believe the space we had in the room. In most other hotels it would have been considered a suite and cost tons more money. Very quiet and downtown is just 2 blocks away. Go there you will love it!

Jackson is not a hot bed of activity. It's an older community which apparently is failry safe given absence of locks on the access doors to the hotel corridors. However, that being said the room was clean, bed very comfortable and extremely QUIET. While nothing exceptional the bathroom was clean. Rooms had refrig and micro wave. All in all a great deal for the price point. If you're into breakfast it was marginal. Waffle maker, cereal, bagels etc. No real hot food but otherwise not horrible. I rate this a 4 for the price point and unexpected comfort and quietness of the room. If you're into the local wine region ( Amador County) it's only 15 minutes to many good wineries.

This place is a dump. The doors are paper thin and you can hear every sound from up and down the hall. Also the a/c works only some of the time. It was hard getting management to deal with the a/c problems because they were too busy booking the drunks into the motel. I have stayed here twice and this will definitely be my last time. The hotel seems to attract a lot of drunken guests who want to party all night long. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

The hotel staff are awesome! Very friendly,very accomadating, go the extra mile! The hotel is very nicethe rooms are nice . You get 15% off your meals at Denny's which is in the parking lot. Free breakfast is good!waffles, yogert, muffins cereal juice fresh fruit. Best bang for the buck! Highly recommend!

Great stay!! Great price!

The motel is an older facility with several buildings. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. However, the air conditioner in the room I stayed in was marginal at best. It was a very hot day and the room was stifling and it took the air conditioner a long time to cool the space off. There was one working ice machine and it was located in another building of the complex. I would not necessarily discourage people from staying at this facility if they are in Jackson, CA and don't have multiple nights to spend there.

The hotel is very clean and I am very picky about cleanliness. We drove an xtra 20 miles to be sure that it was clean and it was worth it. Breakfast was very ample with a good selection for kids and adults. Staff was very hospitable and helped me with mapquest directions to next destination. Lots of neat things to see in this area. Columbia, Black chasm caverns and Sutter Gold mine. The town is beautiful with a nice variety of places to eat.

The room was very nice and big .The service was great. We have stayed there before and will stay there again soon.

We don't smoke but book a smoking room, which is a very wrong decision; the smell is really stink. Beside that, everthing is fine.

Would have liked some information at the desk ie: location of ice machine & time and location for breakfast.

the hotel is ok if your just looking for a place to sleep the bad part is it way over priced and the room reeked like smoke it's not a hotel I'd ever stay aging.

Very nice people and good location. Room was well equipped for the price, and it was clean. Nice construction so as you don't have to go outside to get to office. Breakfast was nice, loved the Waffle machines.

I heartily recommend the Amador Best Western and wjould stay there again without question.

The room was clean and the beds were fairly comfortable. It was quiet during the night, TV channel selection was decent. The location was very convenient, just a couple of blocks from downtown Jackson and a few miles from the casino. Dennys was in the same parking lot which was also very convenient. For the money I was quite satisfied. .

KC at check in was very pleasant and accommodating to my friends and I, and the room was great. Will definitely stay here again.

I was kept awake most of the night by a dog barking in another room. When I called the desk to complain they only suggwested we should wait a little while to see if it stopped on it's own. I understand that they don't want to rush to throw someone out of their hotel and have that person writing their bad review...but I also can't believe i was the only person this dog was disturbing. i go to this area every year and I will NEVER stay at this hotel again.

Fine experience here, good location for day trips to Amador wineries and gold country towns. Clean room and decent breakfast. Staff was friendly. No restaurants in walking distance beside diners (2), found a good restaurant in Sutter Creek which was nearby.

We had a great stay . Staff was very nice.Rooms were clean and big. Denny's with a lounge in same parking lot! Will return!

The weather caused a power outage, which messed up our planned weekend away; no fault of the hotel. Otherwise the room was very comfortable for the price.

The folks who work here are always very nice. We have been coming here for 10 years or so when we visit Gold Country. My only complaint is that the rooms directly behind Denny's always smell of smoke, even though there are non smoking rooms there. I'm not sure if they allow smoking upstairs, but downstairs the smell is very strong. I think they should make that building a smoking only building and the one behind the offices a non smoking. We have stayed in those rooms as well and the smell is not noticeable. We will probably make other arrangements next time if the smell issue is still a problem. Sorry smokers, but the smell is sickening if you don't smoke. Oh...more pillows please on the king beds please!

We have stayed many times at the Amador Inn. They used to offer a complimentary breakfast at the Denny's next door. Now they serve waffles, cereal, bread a a little fruit for breakfast. We were disappointed with this change. We had a NON smoking room but it smelled very strong of smoke when we went inside. We will probably stay there again as it is a fair price and well located. May complain next time if the room smells of cigarette smoke.

The hotel was clean and quiet, staff was polite and helpful, and the location could not be better. It is a very good deal for the money!

Front Desk service was very poor. I had to return to the front desk 3 times to get the paper work done. My door key did not work had to return to Lobby twice. No Coffee in the room. The door closest to my room was kept locked most of the time.
