Rica Hotel Gamla Stan - ستكهولم

Cannot fault the hotel. Friendly service on reception, great recommendations for places to eat. Good sized room and well appointed bathroom. Location perfect, walking distance to everywhere, or, if your feet are getting a bit tired close to the metro to move around the city. Great selection at breakfast. Free tea and coffee in the afternoon.

We stayed two nights in this hotel. The staff was very friendly, service was great. The hotel was very charming. Everything was fine, except perhaps for a bit too soft bed.

Overall very impressed with the hotel. Great location and rates seemed reasonable. Rooms were small but very nice and comfortable although bathroom a little cramped. Breakfast was one of the best of any of the places I've ever stayed and great value since included in room rate. Food is not cheap, at least in this part of town. Would highly recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is very close to the T-Ban subway, which makes the entire city easy to get to. It also sits in Gamla Stan. The island of Gamla Stan is very quaint and historic. The hotel is a short walk to the palace and several beautiful, historic churches, and many restaurants. The room was lovely and adequate. The bathroom was a little small, but more than acceptable and clean. The bed was very comfortable. It is rare to find an actual one-piece mattress, and not two twins pushed together to form a bed. The hotel offers a more than adequate breakfast every morning and coffee/tea in the afternoons. We would definitely stay here again. It was quiet, yet right in the heart of it all.

My only complaint was that our room window opened on to a VERY busy street with partying going on until well into the early morning. However, EVERYTHING else about this hotel was THE BEST!!! I would DEFINITELY stay there again.

This is a very good place to stay. The breakfasts are excellent. The hotel is situated perfected in the midst of the oldest part of Stockholm. Antique shopping is very good in the old part of town (and in some places elsewhere in Stockholm). The restaurants near the hotel are also very good. However, with respect to the hotel, one needs to book a room a few months ahead of time to make sure to get a reasonable price for a room. In addition, Stockholm generally is expensive for Americans who have to deal with the declining value of the dollar.

This is a lovely hotel in a perfect location. All parts of the city can be reached easily by foot from here. It is in the old city (Gamla Stan) but in a quiet location, a few streets away from the crowds of the touristy areas. Loads of (touristy) restaurants at walking distance. The hotel itself is smallish but it is tastefully decorated in typical Scandinavian fashion, clean and it has atmosphere. The only two minor quibbles I would have is that the room was very small and that the breakfast room can get very busy.

well located in Gamla Stan, minutes from the metro stop, and a nice building with nice people. Good breakfast, fast wifi. Room was tiny, and had very few places to put clothes (basically, some hanging space), but that's the only minor complaint. Good value in an otherwise expensive city.

Helpful, English speaking staff, excellent breakfast and within walking distance to ferries, Palace, Nobel Museum and more. Rooms are tiny, but we weren't there to hang out in the rooms anyway.

Pricey hotel for U.S. but not for Stockholm. Beautiful antique decor (check out the chandeliers), very nice staff, clean room, modern bath & quiet at night. Room is small as are most European hotels, but had comfortable seating, windows that open and free wi-fi. Bedding was a little weired. Sheets just on pad on top of mattress that kept pulling out. Fabulous included breakfast except weak coffee. Walk to everything you want to see including restaurants and the ferry.

The location is perfect for a trip to Stockholm; a few steps from the Metro, in the middle of great places to eat and shop. Close to the palace and docks for tours. Breakfast was one of the best I had in all of Scandinavia, large buffet and a wide variety. Only criticism - if it is hot out, you need to keep your window open, and you will hear the crowds at night. But the local pubs are worth it!

An outstanding hotel in the middle of Old Town. Friendly staff. Exceptional breakfast buffet - undoubtedly the nicest and best selection of delicious and healthy food I have found yet on a breakfast offering in a hotel. And this is included in the room price. Can't wait to return.

Breakfast was the best. One lady took care of the entire buffet which was excellent with Swedish meatball, salted fish, eggs, bacon, fruit, etc. First room had TV not working. They switched us to another room. Bed was sagging in both rooms.

Perfect location in the old city. Front desk staff very helpful. Breakfast buffet exquisite. Quaint, friendly and charming. Not a big city hotel. Just don't get a room low down fronting on the street as late night carousers tend to be noisy, and area delivery and work crews arrive very early with much clanging and banging.

I would definitely go back to the Rica Gamla Stan. Perfect location on a quiet street in the old quarter, but just steps from lively restaurant and cafe life on a summer evening. Great historic neighborhood for strolling. Elegance and restraint characterize the hotel; it has that faded Swedish classiness without forcing it. Marvelous breakfast, with lots of special touches. The only thing that might be an adjustment for some travelers is that there is no air conditioning, so you have to open a lot of windows if there is a heat wave. A classy place all around.

Great downtown location for hotel. Very convenient and comfortable. Staff excellent, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for getaway or business. Great breakfast included.

Perfect hotel in the very best location for getting to know a delightful city. The hotel is like an elegant glove box with chandeliers, antiques, an efficient three-person elevator, helpful staff, and magnificent breakfast. Our room on the top floor was quite large, comfy and romantic. If you require the services, and might I add pretenses - of a "grand" hotel or if you want views, this is not for you.

Hotel was located in the old part of Stockholm and was not easy to find. It was old, but well kept, and a little noisier than I'm accustomed to. Although the building is brick, the inner walls were a bit thin, so noise was easily heard in the room. Small, but comfortable and good price for a short stay. I would rate it about a 3.5 star rating.

Great location, clean and comfortable hotel, very good breakfast, reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room at back a bit noisy due to plant/generators (?) at rear when open windows but very clean and well furnished.

I stayed here for 4 nights while attending a conference at the Convention Centre. The hotel is small but comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. The rooms are all individuaI with no feel of a chain hotel. I had a lot of noise the first night of my stay and they moved my things without a problem to a different room. Breakfast was buffet style and kept me going when there was very little catering at the conference. A great spot for sightseeing from and convenient for the Metro and City Centre. Would recommend and will return

Ett intimt och mysigt hotell med en romantisk aura. Frukosten var god och hade ett stort urval. Kommer definitivt tillbaka till detta mysiga hotell som ligger centralt till och i hjärtat av Stockholm men ändå lite undanskymt.

Et veldig koselig hotell lokalisert sentralt i Stockholm i gamlebyen. Et lite hotell med historisk sus i veggene gjør dette til en spesiell opplevelse. God frokost, gode senger og et moderne baderom gjorde at vi trivdes.

Dette var et veldig fint hotell med hyggelig betjening som tok god i mot oss selv om vi reiste med hund. Hotellet er sentralt plassert, fint innredet og med deilig frokost. Det eneste man må være klar over er at det er midt i et ganske aktivt utemiljø. Vi var der er en helg og det var ganske bråkete utenfor på natten.

Kjempefint og gammelt, ærverdig hotell midt i gamla stan. Veldig variert og god frokost, deilige senger og puter (!) og flotte mennesker bak resepsjonsdisken. Til og med bra beliggenhet for en morgenjoggetur på Södermalm. Vil man bruke litt ekstra penger på hotell, anbefales dette!

Very near Metro station and the old town. Lovely decoration and friendly service

Hotel très bien situé, au coeur de la vielle ville; emplacement central qui permet la visite de la ville à pied. Très bon accueil, personnel très professionnel Chambre confortable, spacieuse, calme Petit déjeuner exceptionnellement bon, adaptabilité en dehors des heures prévues pour le petit déjeuner

en perfekt litet hotell med toppen läge, så mysigt och trevlig personal! kommer absolut att bo där igen!
