The description of the room on hotels.com mentions that the room has a separate sitting area. We booked the room so we could have more space. But, it turned out to be really small. There was no sitting area and the hotel staff told us that these rooms do not come with sitting areas.

STAYED IN FALL 2012 ON 2ND FLOOR. ROOM WAS A LOT NICER THAN ONE IN SPRING 2013. OVERALL GREAT STAY, BEDS VERY COMFY AND WILL DEFINITELY STAY AGAIN! WE WERE ABLE TO VIEW THE MOUNTAINS FROM OUR WINDOW.

Great value! Downside, time to cherokee casino was more than expected. Loved the waffles!

It was a good stay we went for a visit to wcu so it was a great price in the middle of both directions

Stayed here in the past and they have upgraded everything. Loved the location to Ski Slopes/Tubing. Comfortable room for the 2 of us. Nice, friendly staff. Would recommend staying. Planning on returning with entire family this spring.

The hotel has an indoor pool. The only thing that would have been better if they had towels in the pool.

The hotel and staff were awesome for the price. The only little turn offs were the water stain on the ceiling of the bathroom and the pool wasn't very clean. There was a wad of hair on a pole near the hot tub. Other then that everything else was awesome down to the continental breakfast.

well-stocked, continental breakfast was a nice perk. The free Wi-Fi, clean, indoor pool and hot tub and free parking also sealed the deal. Would definitely stay there, again.

My boyfriend and I recently stayed at the Microtel Inn and Suites during a vacation to Maggie Valley. The rooms were good-sized, clean and comfortable. The only problem we encountered was another patron trying to get into our room in the middle of the night (the lock didn't work and the deadbolt was the only thing that kept him out!). Still, the area had an overall safe feel and the front desk was helpful if not just a bit short-tempered. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfort and convenience at a great price.

We were greeted very pleasantly and invitingly. Person that attended us was very helpful about good local cuisine and even offered discounts. The room was very nice and homelike. You could actually relax. The area was great and very accessible to a variety of stores, restuarants and shops. Hot Tub and Pool area was nice and their continental breakfast was suffice, nice variety and well presented. All around was a Great Charma place.

Going into our stay, we set our expectations where they should have been for a 2 Star Hotel. We weren't expecting them to be a 5 Star Hotel. While we were there, we were only one of few guests there. It made our stay more enjoyable. The hotel was quiet and allowed us to unwind when we were not out and about. One of the biggest things we enjoyed was the indoor pool and hot tub. While it was freezing rain outside, we enjoyed a relaxing stay in the hot tub and also went for a swim. The times we went to the pool, we were the only ones there. It was great. Overall, the hotel needs some minor work done to it, but nothing that affected our stay. Our room was well kept and maintained each day. We did have to go next door for our breakfast since there weren't any quests, but that wasn't a big deal for us. Staff was nice and helped us when we needed it. For the price and having a quiet room and pool/hot tub to ourselves, we couldn't ask for more.

Maggie Valley is a beautiful area and this hotel puts you right in the middle of it. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, and everything was comfortable. The breakfast was simple but substantial enough. The only (minor) drawback is that there isn't much to eat within walking distance which isn't a big deal unless you're driving a larger vehicle (RV or similar) and don't want to cruise around. However, if you are looking for a bigger breakfast, make the drive a few minutes down to the road to Joey's Pancake House. You will not be disappointed.

It was great will be going back to same hotel later

sheet had a red blot on it looked liked blood..i took it off threw it in the floor and when we came back after they cleaned the room..the maid had picked up the dirty sheet off the floor and made the bed with it again..uncalled for

Clean, nice room. Friendly staff.

Very pleased with the hotel, staff went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed. Indoor pool was lovely and warm and the hotel was comfortable. Good breakfast choices. Very satisfied with this good value hotel.

It was convenient to our sons' homes. Made travel to their homes easier. Continental breakfast was adequate but seating was limited.

Had an issue with not getting the room I booked. I ordered a one queen smoking when I got there I was in a two queen smoking. I went down and told the front desk the problem and they assigned me to a two queen smoking. I wanted the sitting area that was available in the one queen but they couldn't give me what I booked .

Second time we stayed here. First time there was a large bike event going on in town and as such it was a bit noisy. This time was great. Hard to beat the value of this hotel..

We arrived at the hotel just at the sandy coming. So the temperature was falling quickly. We found the hotel was cozy at room. It's quiet and clean. The window seat is so good to see the view outside. The service woman at front desk was helpful. We feel pleasant staying at the hotel. It's a good hotel to stay when you want to visit the great smoky mountain with your family.

we enjoyed it

I was not sure what type of accomodations I would get, booking our stay a day before our arrival. I was pleasantly surprised by the convieience the hotel was to everything we wanted to do in the mountains. The hotel was clean and staff were very personable and helpful with resturant and attraction information. The property is a bit dated, but recent renovations have made a definite plus. It is a great value. The room and beds were very comfortable and loved the amenities w/ kitchenette separating the beds in queen rooms, making it feel as if you were in your own private bedroom. Indoor pool was a nice bonus on chilly nights, as well. I will stay here again.

Pretty good although the hot tub was VERY hot (more than it should have been) and the pool wasn't heated at all. Overall, it was pretty good.

The air conditioner in the room was really LOUD! The continental breakfast had mostly carbs.. would have been nice to have some healthier choices...but over all an o.k. stay...

Decent room,very clean, bed was extremely firm too firm.Staff friendly enough, nice indoor pool area. Would stay again

Quiet and peaceful setting. Along main highway but would not know that as room was very peaceful. Clerk was very helpful with ideas of where to go. Found room to be very clean. Our family would definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed for a long weekend of r&r. Great location and ample parking for motorcycles. Friendly staff. The only 2 things I didnt like was that the pool was not heated as stated and the rear entrance security entrance to the hotel was not functional. Anyone could walk right into the hotel anytime of day or night with using your room key card. Other than that, rooms were very nice and comfortable. I would stay again at this location and would recommend it to anyone.

will never stay at a microtel again. desk person (Debbie) was very rude and unprofessional. We booked a smoking room and was put in a non smoking room. got in late on wednesday called desk on Thursday morning to check to see if we were being moved since we booked smoking. They said no, so we ended up with an unauthorized charge on my card and was never told that we would be fined for smoking. The room was not cleaned, when we arivved on Wed. night there was a black sock beside the bed and dirty towels left in room. They were still there when we left on Saturday afternoon. I had to go to desk to get coffee for my room. Needless to say I am calling Microtel management today.

Room was very clean and the king bed & pillows comfortable. Minor updates to the room would be nice but not really necessary. Bathroom was spotless and in good repair. The staff was courteous, efficient, and friendly. The hotel is conveniently located right on Rt 19, pretty close to everything in the Maggie Valley area and the mountains. We stayed there for an event weekend at WCU which only took about 25 minutes to get to. Well definitely be staying here again when un the area.

It was great and was what I had hoped it would be. This was the first time staying here and will stay here again as we where very happy with our stay
