We more or less enjoyed our stay for the value but the customer service was terrible.

This was a good option money-wise. Overall our stay was good, but we had some bad experiences. We didn't enjoy the activities offered at the pool since they where too loud. The beach is awesome!! But they should have a system to do reservations for the chairs. By 7am all of the chairs where "taken" in the beach and pool areas. Towels where placed on them making them unavailable. We where up early every day and we still couldn't get chairs or find a shade. We usually enjoy cool pools, but this was extremely cold. Food was not great, it was OK. Calling the concierge to make a reservation for specialty restaurants was like flipping a coin and praying they would answer. If the concierge was not there they asked us to walk to the concierge of the hotel next door, the Grand Oasis, because they couldn't transfer the calls!! HILARIOUS!! So we only got one reservation (out of three nights) for a specialty restaurant and it was at the mexican place called El Sarape and it was fine. I repeat, you get what you pay for and it is an OK hotel. Overall staff was very rude, the guy at the Nori Sushi Bar at the pool was the worst. We wouldn't even finish ordering and he was already turning his back on us. AWFUL! We had a good time as a family, just avoid asking staff for help. Checking in and checking out was nightmare!! If you don't care that much about how people treat you while vacationing, this place is great for you.

Was told room would be ready at 3pm...at 4:30 I was finally walked to a room that was already occupied. Go back to the front desk and the staff seemed to think it was funny that I was angry. Food in the restaurant took almost an hour...was dry and tasteless.

Beautiful hotel, great design, right on the beach. Kids and parents alike enjoyed every minute. Food is plentiful and delicious, buffet plus three individual restaurants. Great service, friendly staff, a lot of attention to detail. We went in the low season, no negatives at all.

For the price, this is a solid all-inclusive. The food was great, the service was great and the location is beautiful. Awesome snorkeling right off the beach, plus beautiful sandy swimming area. Close to area attractions, such as Yal Ku Lagoon and Tulum. Some minor inconsistencies, such as no kayaks or snorkeling equipment are available even though they are advertised on their website. Not perfect or high-end, but still very nice. I would return.

We just returned from a 7 day/6 night stay at this resort. We got a great deal from hotels.com, and for the price, I feel that we definitely got our money's worth. The rooms were clean and spacious enough, balcony was right on the beach, pools very close to the room. Maids did an excellent job each day straightening up the room. If you're looking for multiple expansive pools, this is not the place. It has two small pools and one a bit larger with a swim up bar but there are certainly resorts with larger pools to offer. My only real concern was regarding the food. The non-buffet restaurants were on a rotating schedule, not open every night. They were small and filled up quickly. There was no menu to order from, rather a selection of 3 main courses. The buffet had a decent selection of food choices, but by the 6th day we had grown tired of it. Waiter service is slow. I would recommend this resort if you want a good deal, something quiet and relaxing, and aren't looking for an expansive resort with multiple amenities like some of those in Cancun.

Terrible hotel and I travel all over the world. Both my friend and her daughter got food poisoning there.Requested roll a way bed upon reservation. Also called them from Lad Vegas to confirm. No roll a way bed. Took two days. Air conditioning broke.Would only givee us two keys to room. There were three of us. Not enough towels. Very isolated hotel. Nothing closeie; restaurants, shopping. Snorkeling not possible. Surf much too rough. Red flag.Drinks very watered down.Cheap liquor. I don't drink.My friends daughter fell on wet tile stairs. No apology,comp no nnothing...Doctor was called. This hotel should not even be a ONE STAR

I read negative reviews of this place, but the deal was right so I took a chance and booked. I'm so glad I did. The hotel used to be called Oasis Akumal, and there are still a few remnants of the old name around. My read on the hotel is that it was built to be a very high end hotel. The tilework is gorgeous, the pools and rooms are well designed, and the beach is one of the best in the area. There are living corals super close to the shore, and while shore snorkeling we were lucky to witness a huge sea turtle munching on coral, 5 feet away. There's also a Million colorful fish to see, but unfortunatly many sea urchins too (spikey and bad). Bring your own snorkel mask, because the loaner-masks run out quickly. I also recommend water shoes. As an all-inclusive it's fine. The food is fine, drinks are fine--on par with most all-inclusives. If you want local flavor, skip all-inclusives and stay in Playa del Carmen. The hotel staff is great. I think that when the new management took over, they cut a lot of costs. But that doesn't mean the staff working there cuts corners. Don't treat staff people poorly. Thank them and smile. Bring a bunch of dollar bills or ten peso coins and tip when you feel moved to. Never yell at some poor kid, even if you have a complaint. Honey vs vinegar. Pick the ocean view room option if it's available. Room 2307 was amazing, with a vaulted ceiling, and a big balcony with hammock and awesome view. Wifi costs extra, peacocks wander the property, and many of the guests are European and nice.

we had an ocean front room,view of beach was great.no service to get bags up 3 flights of stairs.woke up early to get coffee-no coffee in room,and saw food left out all nite.all the restaurants never open or very long line at the ones that were open,we had a rental car (parking lot far from entrance of main lobby) or along side road)and were able to eat else-where.

Good thing the price was cheap. If I had of paid full price for this hotel or more I would be very disappointed. How can a 3.5 star all inclusive hotel only serve no name brand alcohol, draft beer and not provide beer in the mini fridge- only 2 sodas and water and never refill it during your stay? Upon check in I was given a photocopied piece of paper as a map and restaurant bar list. Half of the bars were never open and maybe 1 ala carte restaurant out of the seven that were listed- 1 listed was not even on the map, neither was the gym. Pretty bare bones. The location and the beach was stunning though.

Pedí cambio de habitación por que esta lejos de todas las instalaciones (casa club), y me dijeron q no tenían q mañana, que marcara 0 para que fueran por mi, marque muchas veces y nadie fue por mi y mi niña de 9 años, así estaba mi reserva, a las 8 pm me tuve que ir sola caminando 5 minutos total obscuridad y solo hasta el loby por que nadie fue por mi, mi cambio fue a una habitación sobre las bodegas de maquinarias del hotel, se imaginaran el ruidal me queje y me dijo el gerente de relaciones publicas que todo estaba bien, que el venia del D.F. y que ahí estaba mas ruidoso que ahí y no pasaba nada. se imaginaran. el peor hotel, sin actividades para huéspedes fatal

Hotellet ligger flott til på stranden, men deler av hotellet var for gammelt og slitt til at dette ble en helt fantastisk opplevelse. Rommene var lovt med havutsikt, men du så kun palmene, rommene var gamle og slitte og sofa bla annet direkte udelikat og møkkete. Balkong manglet møbler, kun to gamle plaststoler, dessuten uten lys slik at det ikke ble aktuellt å sitte der. Wi Fi fungere kun i resepsjonen, det oppleves som litt umoderne også. trekk også for at det er langt unna Play del carmen og det er litt lite å gjøre av aktiviteter på hotellet. det løp endel unge mennesker rundt og prøvde å engasjere gjester til dart ol, men det føltes mer som ett mas fra "springbreak" ungdommer. Savnet treningsrom bla. Mat ok stort sett, Mexikansk restaurant best, dumt med at du må stå i kø hver dag 17.30 for å få bordbestilling.Den Italienske resutauranen var ikke bra! Pluss for flott beliggenhet på stranden og super fine strender. Service også ok, men har vært på bedre all inkusive hoteller på Riviera Maya.

Hotel con mal mantenimiento.

Pésima atención y trato al llegar al hotel, las habitaciones son muy viejas y huelen a humedad

Bien que cet hôtel soit certainement le mieux situé de la crique où il se trouve au bord d'une vrai plage de sable fin où l'on peut se baigner, il est décevant par d'autres égards : il est au milieu de nulle part et accessible uniquement en taxi. Le personnel est tout juste aimable. Et la cerise sur gâteau pour un hôtel de cette catégorie (5*) en formule "all inclusive" le wifi est payant et hors de prix.

hola muy bonito el hotel solo un detalle como que la distribucion no es muy buena peor todo lo demas esta muy bien hermosa playa y las albercas padrisimas recomendable

Hotellet är på vissa siter graderat till 4+ alt. 5.Detta är lite väl högt rankat med tanke på den allmänna servicenivån.Jag skulle med tanke på detta sätta 3+ alt svag 4.a. Det som verkligen höjer hotellets betyg är det alldeles underbara strandläge med den finast tänkbara strand med kristallklart vatten. En klar rekommendation.

Отель очень понравился. Отдыхали в июне, отель был полупустой. Отличное обслуживание, все аккуратно и чисто. Вкусная еда. Очень приятный персонал. Красивая и ухоженная территория. Единственный минус это очень дорогой интернет!

Apreciable Hoteles.com para empezar por el simple hecho de ser mexicanas nos enviaron hasta lo que ellos llama la casa club que se encuntra lejos de todo, reservamos con vista al jardin y lo unico que veimos eran tejas del techo, el aire acondicionado no funciono hasta la ultima noche, en los restaurantes de especialidades el servicio fue verdaderamente malo.......el buffete del hotel para todos chispas pero por ratos no daban ganas de comer......los botones groseros........lo unico rescatable del servicio es la limpieza a la habitación, las albercas y la playa de resto todo muy malo.....lastima asi hechan abajo todo el trabajo que hacen por sacar al mundo el caribe mexicano. saludos

Toda la estancia estuvo muy bien, solo un gran detalle que hecho a perder su imagen, al retirarnos del hotel dejamos encargado en recepcion 2 boletos para un tour en playa del carmen a unos familiares que iban a pasar por ellos en 2 dias, y pedimos que de favor se los entregaran, para cuando fueron a recogerlos las personas de recepción ya no los encontraron, los hicieron perdedisos..que lastima haber hechado a perder la imagen del hotel por la gente no confiable que tienen en recepcion, cuando fueron a reclamar los boletos dijeron solo que era un error y que los disculparamos pero que ya no estaban, alguien los habia tomado..que mal. espero el hotel tome cartas en el asunto.

ANUNCIAN AL HOTEL COMO SI FUERA 4 ESTRELLAS PERO TANTO EL SERVICIO DEL PERSONAL QUE TE ATIENDE A TU LLEGADA COMO LA CALIDAD DE LAS HABITACIONES NO LE LLEGA A LOS TALONES. MI MARIDO QUEDO MUY INSATISFECHO POR EL SERVICIO Y LAS INSTALACIONES.

Excelente ubicacion para visitar parques y Tulum. Playa con olas tranquilas para disfrutar el mar. El servicio de alimentos y bebidas es bueno y rapido. Tal mejorar la maner de registrar a los restaurantes para las cenas y promover mejor los eventos nocturnos. En general un lugar para regresar.

Hubo 2 detalles que fueron los que me hicieron darle tan ineficiente calificacion al hotel Fumigaron y a 2 metros de mi mesa una cucaracha medio muerta , y qe el aire acondicionado de mi habitacion parecia que estava durmiendo en un trailer no en una habitacion de hotel y tuviero que ir a repararlo a la 1 am de lo demas no tengo queja gracias.

POR EL PRECIO, LO QUE REALMENTE ESTOY PAGANDO ES EL MAR Y LA ARENA, ES LO MEJOR!! PLAYA ESPECTACULAR... LO MALO FUE EL CUARTO, PARECE QUE ES MUY VIEJO EL HOTEL, HABIA UNA CUCARACHA MUERTA EN EL LAVABO, OSEA QUE NO PASARON A LIMPIAR... POR LO QUE ME DIO DESCONFIANZA LAS SABANAS Y TOALLAS Y QUE DECIR DEL ESCUSADO. LA COMIDA UN DESASTRE, EL BUFET TENIA VARIEDAD PERO MUY SUCIO, NO HAY ORDEN, TENIA YA 5 PLATOS EN LA MESA Y NO PASABAN A RECOGERLO. LAS BEBIDAS DE LA PEOR CALIDAD, CASI ME QUEDO CIEGO... SI QUIERES ALGO DE CALIDAD TIENES QUE COMPRARLO, POR LO QUE ESTE HOTEL NO ES 100% TODO INCLUIDO, COMO QUE MEDIO TE ENGAÑAN... LO RECOMIENDO SOLO POR LA PLAYA, DE AHI EN FUERA, BASTANTE MALO...!!! PERO SI NO PUEDEN GASTAR MUCHO, PUES SI ES LA OPCION. SALUDOS
