This was a lovely boutique hotel in a beautiful neighborhood. The view from the lobby windows was spectacular. Morning meals were delicious and offered a very large selection of scrumptious food. The hotel staff could not have been more accomodating. There were not a lot of parking spaces. The hot tub also overlooked the spectacular view of Jerusalem. Beth

The hotel was very nice, and I was flabbergasted by how large my room was. It is close to Emek Refaim and to the old city, which was my requirement, but when I walked out the door, I realized there's nothing really there! No restaurants or convenience stores or anything like that. It is, however, across the street from free public parking.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. First of all, the decor is exotic and beautiful - you feel like you're in the Near East, not in some chain hotel. Second, the breakfasts are fantastic - HUGE buffets with everything you could want (except meat - it's Kosher Dairy). Third, the staff was very professional and helpful. Fourth, it is a very quick walk (15 minutes) to the Jaffa gate, probably the best-known gate to get into the Old City. Fifth, the views of the Old City from the hotel are great - and even if your room doesn't face the Old City, you probably have a pomegranate tree and a palm tree outside your window. Do bring a swimsuit, they have a jacuzzi that you can sit in under the stars and have an unobstructed view of the Old City!

OK Hotel close to Old City. I checked out in the middle of the night and the ordered breakfast box was not to be found. Got some extra youghurt but not satisfied. Could not get a reciept at the front desk. Excellent breakfast and good service during daytime.

This hotel is old and tired and needs to be refreshed. The pictures on their website re probably 20+ years old. Our room was really not fresh. Not worthy of 4 star rating. Also, they have major issues with their internet network that only works intermittantly. The breakfast buffet is reall nice.

The hotel is situated ten minutes’ walk from the Jaffa Gate, the new shopping mall, Mamilla, and close to a beautiful park with an artist quarter. It’s only a 30 minutes’ walk to the wonderful Israel Museum (Ruppin Boulevard, near the Knesset) .The hotel appears neat and tidy, and we especially enjoyed the view, breakfast and the gym. Actually, I have only few suggestions for improvement: 1) Open the gym at 7 am or earlier – 8 is too late; especially, when the person in charge opens 10 minutes past 8. 2) Set up a wall bar in the gym 3) Create terrasses with bar for visitors to better enjoy the beautiful view over the hills of Jerusalem with a glass of wine or a coffee 4) Update the web site which tells that transport to the airport is free – we had to pay for it.

thas is the dirty hotel ever

Beauriful, well-maintained hotel in a great location. Staff were very friendly, rooms were lovely, clean and quiet. Breakfast was also great. No complaints whatsoever.

there were some beggars around hotel area asking money. I gave one some coins but he kept following asking "paper money". A hotel security person said it's ok but the bagger made me very scared. Be careful when you walk around the area from the bridge.

There was a problem with our reservation so the staff upgraded our room( view).The fridge wasn't clean and so was the bathtub. The hotel can upgrade the vip treat 2 glasses,2 bottles of water and chocolate. The location ,hamam and breakfast were great.

I stayed one night in August. It is super conveniently located near the old city. The room was very large with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was nice with a great shower. The breakfast is excellent. Overall the hotel is charming with a great garden/pool area in the back. I am a swimmer and was able to do about 30 minutes of laps in the pool after a hot day walking around the city. I travel a lot for business both in the USA and Europe and would highly recommend this hotel - very good value for money.

Hotels.com called the hotel at the time of reservation and they waived the 3rd person charge. This convinced me to stay at this hotel. At check in, they reneged and charged us for the 3rd person anyway. They did not care.

Positive: Great location, very clean and luxurious, and has spectacular views. Walking distance to old Jerusalem sites. Overall A+ experience. Negative: Not a lot of negatives, but one to note: not all rooms are accessible by elevator alone - we had to use elevator plus a flight of stairs. Not an issue if you give a generous tip for the bell service.

great location warm staff and very nice atmosphere

We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel to be perfectly located to accessing the Old City and all of the wonderful sights of Jerusalem. We had an amazing time.

Nice hotel. VERY service minded front desk. But overpriced. You expect top quality bathrooms and restaurant for that price and it wasn't. Also the local area is totally dead.

Don't stay here if at all sensitive to scent. Walked into a room that had been so heavily sprayed with perfume that it made me feel ill. After 24 hours with windows wide open, it became barely tolerable. Rooms plain; breakfast only fair for Israel; dining hall staff rather rude. I will not stay here again. Also didn't like their wifi policy. I had two wifi devices with me and would have had to pay double to use both, even if not simultaneously. Thus I had to shut off the wifi on my iPhone.

Mount Zion Hotel has one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Views from each window of the large windows are absolutely stunning looking out into the Old City and other views of Jerusalem. The lobby is very nicely furnished with Morroccan furniture and tile floors with big windows. The hotel has a gorgeous garden and a very interesting long history. Buffet Israeli breakfast is good in a very nice dining room. Rooms are nicely furnished, but the double or queen size bed is made up of two narrow beds moved together which tend to separate. The rooms could also use a desk.

We stayed one night. Good: - Great location - Building is beautiful - Room (in the old wing of the hotel) is very nice. - AMAZING view from the balcony over the old city. Bad: - The room was connected by a double door to another room, in which a family with small kids stayed. Soundproofing was VERY BAD, so we didn't get the rest we were hoping for. - Water pressure in the shower was very low, and the water were barely hot enough. Summary: We expected more comfort for the price we paid. Still not bad, make sure to get a room which is not connected, and check ahead for the shower conditions.

Great setting with attractive views of the city. Breakfast was great in a very nice room with views. Hotel has character and charm.

The room i ordered was the most simple one. not a suite. dont expext alot from this kind of a room. it is less then what i expected from a 4 star hotel. for the price i paid you can get better hotels i have seen the other rooms in the hotel which are more expensive and they are much better the hotel is very beutifull and old building just 5 minute walk from the old city

The hotel is located in a short walking distance from the Jaffa gate, which is the main entrance to the old city of jerusalem. It's also a walking distance (30-40 mins I guess) to the Machne Yehuda market and the area. The team was helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and very large, it also contained a plate of fresh fruit and mineral water, which is nice to have. The breakfast was very good, large diversity of vegtables, cheese, fish and pastries. They let us check out late with no extra charge and kept our laguage until after midnight when we came back to pick it up, no extra charge at all, and all with a big friendly smile!

we stayed for a wedding... breakfast was really good compared to many other stops in Israel. a/c in the room was finicky and the bathroom sink was stopped up upon arrival, but both were repaired after notification. nice pool, turkish spa was nice but not overwhelming, other spa pay services seemed reasonably priced. $15/day for internet access was a bummer.

This hotel is lovely - the rooms and pubic spaces are comfortable and well appointed, and the grounds and pool are stunning. I highly recommend it and would love to go back.

make sure you get a room with a view. Good buffet breakfast, great pool, not a night life hotel. a "walk" to the old city.

Excellent hotel superbement situe. Batiments de caractere, avec vue magnifique sur la vielle ville. Hamman grand style et buffets de petit-dejeuners copieux et varies. Je recommende cette adresse a Jerusalem

Przyzwoity 4-gwiazdkowy hotel wybrany po długim namyśle. Nie zawiódł oczekiwań. Wygodne, duże pokoje nawet w standardowej wersji, z której korzystaliśmy. Ładna przestrzeń w hotelu. Doskonałe śniadania, szeroki wybór miejscowych specjałów, zmieniany każdego dnia (potrawy na ciepło, dobry wybór lokalnych serów, pasty typu humus/mutabal, sałatki, potrawy na ciepło, pieczywo - równiez zmieniane codziennie, ciasta, chałwa, owoce, w tym tropikalne). Obsługa sympatyczna, żadnych kłopotów z zameldowaniem się w sobotę nad ranem (szabas). Minus - hotele w Jerozolimie są generalnie nastawione na grupy, ceny dla klientów indywidualnych są bardzo wysokie i ten hotel nie jest wyjątkiem. Jeśli wykluczyć noclegi we wschodniej części Jerozolimy w arabskich hotelach, to ten hotel można polecić ze względu na świetne położenie i dobrą jakość.

Vi kom meget tidlig til hotellet, ved 04 tiden om morgenen men det ordnet resepsjonisten for oss og vi hørte ikke noe mer om ekstra betaling. Hotellet var gammelt, men koselig og virket velholdt. Hyggelig betjening. Det kom litt vann ut på badegulvet når vi dusjet. Rommet vi hadde var meget rolig, men det lå nokså langt "inne" i bygningen og hadde ikke fantastisk utsikt, selv om det hadde utsikt. Beliggenheten i seg selv var imidlertid veldig bra, i gåavstand til Gamlebyen i Jerusalem og til sentrum ellers. Fra lobbyen var det fantastisk utsikt, mot det gamle Jerusalem. Det var meget rolig, ikke noe støy selv om hotellet ligger på en nokså trafikert vei, dette har noe med topografien å gjøre, at hotellet er bygget i en skråning og vinduene befinner seg i retning bort fra veien. Alt i alt et veldig koselig og ryddig hotell med grei betjening og likevel ikke særlig dyrt. KOmmer nok gjerne til å bo på samme hotell om vi vender tilbake senere.

Store, gode rom. Fin beliggenhet nær Gamlebyen. Fantastisk frokostbuffet. Litt skuffende at de ikke kunne skaffe ikke-jøder mat på Yom Kippur. Kanskje litt i dyreste laget. En ulempe at internett-tilgangen var dyr og dårlig.

Nous avons eu la chance de séjourner 2 nuits dans cet hotel magnifique et idéalement situé au pied de la vieille ville. Nous avons bénéficié d'une chambre avec vue sur la citadelle. Le petit déjeuner était bon et copieux. Magnifique piscine.

Hôtel proche de la vieille ville, bénéficiant d'une très belle vue sur elle. Cher, mais confortable, avec de vastes chambres.

Hoewel Mount Zion een goed hotel is heeft het een aantal negatieve punten: 1. er hangt in de hotelkamers een vieze geur van grondwater/toilet, soms erg smerig, 2. er komen veel volle bussen met toeristen die dan de hele lobby blokkkeren, 3. voor 12.00 uur is er in de lobby geen koffie te krijgen, 4. er waren niuet elek dag dagbladen te koop of te krijg. Ik vind de prjis/kwaliteitsverhouding niet goed. Je betaalt heel veel geld voor de unieke locatie

Bel hôtel proche de la vieille ville. Cadre sympa, belle vue (peut-être pas dans toutes les chambres ?).
