Inter Hotel Des Princes - شامبري

Not the easiest to find (there is a challenging one way system in chambery) but once there charming and pleasant. Although apperantly undergoing repairs, we didn't see any. The room was tidy if basic but very comfy bed. Shower and bathroom need attention - bit old and tired and the room was musty when we first went in. We stayed here in preference to an etap or similar. It was a good choice and we'd probably go back as we had a chance to explore the centre of chambery, finding a great little restaurant. Staff helpful and a nice breakfast, if a little expensive.

My wife and I were in Chambery from September 24th to 27th 2010. We were visiting our daughter who is spending a year studying in the town. The hotel was within 10 minutes walk of the bus station.( we came on the bus from Lyon Airport) and was very easy to find. It is centrally located within easy walking distance of all shops,restaurants and bars.We stayed in a small but very comfortable room on the 4th floor. It was clean and warm and the room was cleaned daily. We had no complaints with our accommodation. We did not take the breakfast option but found two small cafes in the town centre which served coffee and sandwiches. The prices at around 5 euro was reasonable. We visited the local market on the Saturday morning and found the experiece interesting. We bought some local cheese and meat, We also bought some chocolate croissants which were delicious. At night we found some nice moderately priced restaurants There appears to be a reasonable choice of these. The locals were very friendly and helful,not the stereotypical French. We visited the neighbouring town of Annecy - 1 hour by train. This is a charming town with canals and sitting on a lake.I would recommend this as a good location for a day drip. We also visited Geneva - 1 hour 20 mins - but were rather disappointed by this city. It was Sunday and most shops were shut. We are returning to Chambery in November for my daughter's 21st birthday. We tried to book this hotel again but there will be 10 of us coming and there were not enough available rooms in the hotel on these dates. I am looking forward to returning and would recommend the town as a lovely spot to spend a few days or as a base for visiting further afield. I would recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a comfortable reasonably priced place to stay in this charming town.

Conveniently located to the centre of Chambery, in the restaurant district and close proximity to shops. Parking at first seemed daunting but in the event worked well once I had retrieved my pass from hotel reception to park in the secure Hotel de Ville underground car park just around the corner. Hotel staff were exceptionally well trained, the room was a bit cramped but in the event worked well, it was very clean and well presented. A good stopover and an excellent location to explore Chambery old town.

Hotel très bien situé à deux pas du carré curial, personnel très accueillant, avec petit déjeuner copieux, à refaire...

Hôtel très agréable. chambre ambiance chalet très propre et cosy. rien à redire. je le conseille pour la gentillesse de son personnel et son emplacement centre Chambéry.

satisfait mais néanmoins 2 points négatifs l'éclairage à l'entrée de la chambre ne fonctionnais pas et bien que la mention connecté à un réseau existais je n'ai pas pu atteindre aucun site internet

Après un accueil des plus chaleureux, j’ai été dirigé vers la chambre 8. Première impression : une forte odeur de remontée d’égout vient surprendre mes narines. Je fais contre mauvaise fortune bon cœur, mais quand j’arrive dans la chambre, je suis ensuite encore déçu par les fenêtres qui n’en étaient pas vraiment mais que je pouvais comparer à des meurtrières, ce qui rendait la chambre sombre et fort peu agréable. J’ai demandé naturellement à changer de chambre mais on m’a dit que l’hôtel était complet. De ce fait, je ne garderai pas un souvenir impérissable de cet hôtel et en particulier de la chambre 8. Malgré cette mésaventure, je pense que je recommanderais tout de même cet hôtel, à condition d'éviter la chambre 8

Hotel très comfortable en plein centre de Chambéry. Chambres cosies, propreté impeccable et accueil très sympathique.

Décoration des chambres harmonieuse, État impeccable, personnel charmant ayant le sens du service.
