Sunway Hotel Georgetown Penang - بينانغ

The hotel is ideally located with food and transport easily available. Carpets in the room have yet to be changed, as suggested by quite a number of guests. Reception staff were extremely helpful. A few of them went to the extent in helping us to make calls to our Penang friends, as we were not able to do it in our room. The safety box in our room was not working. We called for repair and waited till the last day of our 3-night stay without seeing anyone attending to our request.

Good location, good services

reasonably priced room with breakfast included. Nearby shopping complex and walking distance to food centres and the famous penang road. room is spacious but the carpet is a bit old.

Contrary to what I read from some of the reviews, the hotel's services and cleanliness is way above average. The hotel is located in a very convenient location. The Komtar Tower nearby houses the bus terminal that has buses to all over Penang. There is also a free bus service (MPP) outside the bus terminal that goes to most of the Places of Interest. You can also walk to some must see sites like Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion. There's also a food street along the road where the hotel is. The staffs are friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay in this hotel again if I were to revisit Penang.

The room needs to refurbish.

A family of five person (2 rooms) We planned to go to Penang again for 1 week on year end of 2012. Hopefully we can get a special or promotion rates.

There is a clear sign on lack of maintenance for the 9th Floor as paint and wood works seems deteriorating and suggest to up grade the condition to maintain the standard. However Buffet Breakfast was good and that was the only satisfactory thing I have seen for this particular hotel.

An excellent hotel in all respects with a particularly good and helpful staff.

We have indicated an extra bed needed on the hotel.com . After we have checked in at 2pm, it took 40min for the housekeeping to send the extra bed. Overall the hotel location is good, near bus terminal and major malls.

Location was excellent as it was the heart of the island and food was just around the corner. The hotel need serious refurbishment (especially the toilets which is not convinient to older folks). Stayed at the hotel more than five years ago and it is still the same. Mosquitoes in the room!

Arrived at 4 pm and room still not ready for check in. During breakfast I saw a waiter wiping food debri onto the carpet. Its like a coffee shop. Such low standards.

Dear to whom it may concern, No doubt your location of hotel is convenient but what we were having problem while doing booking online. First night booking was fairly done. When we decided to extend our stay another night booking facing some problem. No one to refer upon calling your hotel telephonist as it is weekend after office hour it seems. Confirmation on booking was ambiguos and we have no one can query. Three rooms hotel phone were out of order. Complain at the receptionist but no action till second complaint lodged. Other than that only Sun newspaper supplied? The rest ok.

Overall, the hotel is good and very affordable, but needs renovation.

Really love the coziness and location of the hotel. Lots of local food hawkers just mins walk away. Major shopping centres 1st Ave and Pranjin Mall abt 10 mins walk from hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious and clean, buffet breakfast is adequate, Definately staying in this hotel when I come back again. Got a superlative great rate when I booked through Hotel.com in Aug, cos somebody tried to get a room when I was checking in and the cost is almost 5 times more.

I had bad experenice never have in my life. The area is dirty. There were more than 20 mouses walking around within 50 sf from hotel entrance. The breakfast food was poor. The hotel is NOT clean

Location is indeed very convenient. Easily accessible to shopping and makan places. Hotel staff pretty helpful. Our check-in time was supposed to be 2pm but we arrived at hotel about 11am. Since there was room available hotel staff Mitchell allowed us to check-in early. Appreciate her helpfulness.

Overall not a well maintained hotel. Bath tub had yellow water stains, and the shower could not be used in the proper way. Very little variety to breakfast buffet & quality was bad. Definitely able to get more value for money at another hotel nearby.

The room was ok, but for that price I would expect a better condition of the hotel. The bed was nice, but the aircon didn't work that well.

very central, clean and staff very good. I got the hotel to order a taxi for me to the airport and they got me one that charged much less than external companies were quoting, really trustworthy bunch from what i could gather. A great hotel where i will stay again ...this time for longer. Gregg. ps there is a great little streetmarket outside the hotel in the evening selling some great stuff

Not keeping & making regular guest staying at this hotel "Exclusive."

Excellent taste of local food as local cafe is just next to hotel. Times Sq shopping also nearby and few other malls are within walking distance.

it is better than I expected. However, I have faulyt phone which i need to request for few times before the hotel exchange with new one. Location is very convenient. Room is quite old as one of the bed is spoil but we never ask to be change. Hopefully it will be good after the renovation

Sunway hotel was in a good location. The rooms were comfortable but old. Could do with a bit of TLC but were fine. Hawker stalls at end of street were fantastic for food. Easy walk to the bus station and free bus. We loved Georgetown and Sunway was good.

Hotel is very much run down and badly need renovation and refurbishment. Not allow to have late check out at 2 pm. It is more of a three stars hotel than four stars as advertised. A local who picked me up from this hotel commented that if he knew I am coming to Penang earlier will advise me a better hotel.

terrible corridor, no towel in bath room and tried to ask, only bath towel, not even have face towel. worst than 2 stars hotel.

썬웨이 호텔에 대한 정보가 거의 없는 상태에서 콤타가 가깝다는 것을 보고 예약햇습니다. 생각보다 기대 이상으로 좋았습니다. 콤타와도 가까웠고, 주변에 타임스퀘어라는 큰 쇼핑몰이 생긴지 얼마안되었는지...모르고 갔는데...바로 앞에 큰 쇼핑몰이 있어서 좋았습니다. 식사도 생각보다 좋았습니다.

ロビーを出るとすぐそこは、屋台村となっています。 食べるものにはまず困りません。屋台村がホテルのレストラン感覚でした。日中は営業店は少なくなりますが。レストランも近くにあります。。 George Townは、思ったより広いので、観光中心でしたら、ツアーなどをお勧めします。 海岸沿いなどまでは、しばらく散歩が必要です。

酒店虽然是3星级的酒店，但是服务人员的态度却是五星的。而且楼下晚上就有好多小吃，很方便。去百盛打车13-15马币之间。
