All was fine, we enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would ahve them change is they put me on the 4th floor and there were no ice machines on the 4th floor.

had a great view of the sunset, it was great, and the waves were right up to the hotel. the mist from the waves crashing on the beach was right on the porch.

This is a great place to get away and enjoy a nice stay next to the ocean. The ocean view/partial ocean view rooms afford an excellent view of the ocean, and the sliding doors with (small) balcony allow one to hear the surf from the room. Just beyond the hotel's patios and sea wall is the ocean itself, and the rocks offer a breathtaking view of the sea and the surrounding hills. Plenty of free parking is located underneath the hotel. Although this hotel is not an elegant venue, it does provide good value and is a well maintained, clean, safe, and comfortable accomodation in a beautiful environment located very conveniently off the highway. Gasoline stations and restaurants are nearby. I have stayed here four times in the past, and I will stay here again when I return to Pacifica.

THE PICTURE ON THE WEBSITE SHOWING THE OCEAN IN ONE WINDOW AND GRASS/ROCKS IN THE OTHER WINDOW IS NOT A TYOICAL PARTIAL OCEAN VIEW THE BALCONY WAS 2 2BY4S TO STAND ON AND A 2 BY 4 TO REST YOUR ARMS ON WAS THE BALCONY MAYBE 1 1/2 FOOT WIDE THEN YOUR BACKSIDE TOUCHES THE SLIDING DOOR. THE VIEW WAS OT THE RESTUARANT BUILDING IN FRONT OF WINDOW TO LOOK AT OCEAN LEAN ABOUT 1-2 FEET OVER THE TWO BOARDS (BALONEY) HA HA HA THEN U SEE OCEAN. THE ONLY OCEAN VIEW YOU REALLY GET IS IF YOU HAVE ROOMS THAT ACTUALLY FACE OCEAN WITH NO BUILDINGS IN FRONT OF YOU IF I HAD A CAMERA I WOULD SHOW WHERE YOU NEED TO GET OCEAN OR PARTIAL VIEW OCEAN ROOMS THE PARKING WAS UNDER THE HOTEL THE ENTRANCE WAS HARD TO GET IN AND OUT CAUSE THE TRAFFICE GOES BOTH WAYS NEVER STAY AGAIN THE BED BY THE WINDOW IF YOU WANTED TO WATCH TV YOU HAD TO SLEEP BY THE NIGHT STAND SIDE CAUSE IF YOU SLEPT ON THE BED SIDE BY THE WINDOW YOU COULDNT SEE THE TV WHICH WAS IN A CABINET AND THEW TV DID NOT M,OVE OUT OR SWIVEL SO THAT PERSON COULD WATCH TV NEXT NIGHT WENT TO SANTA CRUZ AND FOR THE SAME PRICE GOT A ROOM RIGHT ON THE BEACH OVERLOOKING THE OCEAN THE PIER AND THE BOARDWALK, STAYED AT THE DREAM INN IF I EVER WANT AN OCEAN VIEW THAT IS WHERE TO GO ALL ROOMS THERE HAVE AN OCEAN VIEW NICE CLEAN HAS A HINIR BAR WITH SODAS CHIPS CANDY WINE AND THE PRICE LIST IS RIGHT THERE WITH THE HONOR BAR THE BESZT WESTERN SUCKED AND WE WILL NEVER STAY AT ANOTHER BEST WESTERN EVER

We were very pleased with our service and our room. We had a great corner suite with an ocean view and it was such a nice stay. We will be returning there again but will plan to stay for longer than 1 night!

This is probably a good hotel to stay at if you are into surfing, and the weather is good. It's very close to the beach so there is constant sound of the surf crashing into the shore. February isn't ideal. As I first arrived at the hotel my heart sank - it looks like a cross between Alcatraz and Dartmoor Prison - very bleak and drab exterior that needs a fresh coat of paint. Inside it was better though the carpeting and decor of the public areas are shabby now and could do with a refurb. My room was better and clean which confirms the reviews of others. The cleaning staff were friendly, but oddly the little goodies you get in the room (free water etc) were never replaced during my stay. Occupancy of the hotel seemed very low - about 5% I would guess. That added to the bleak experience. It also meant that breakfast was unexciting - actually very poor value. You will probably prefer to eat elsewhere. Loads of free parking so that saves a bit of cash. The Business Center was closed all the time I was there (10 days) due to some sort of fault with the PC. It was fixed on my last day, though the receptionists were happy to print some documents for me on their reception PC in the meantime.

Bestwestern lighthouse has amazing view of the ocean,but lacking on some services such as room service and moonraker restaurant is closed for lunch, We had to go to Nicks restaurant for lunch.

Love the trail near by and beautiful view. Romantic get away!

If you want to go to sleep listening the the Sea and the breakers crashing, the salt air and the view. This is the place to stay. Recommend 4th floor for the view. Nick's Seafood next door is very nice, great food, and a live band at 8:00pm to Midnight. If you like to walk and watch the ocean without crowds the beach front is for you. Try to get a end room and 4th floor as no one is above you and zero noise if any on a end room. Staff is great during our stay. Underground parking and easy in and out. The bed's are really comfortable which is a must. Can't wait to go back and sleep to the sound of the waves crashing again. San Francisco is 30 minutes North on Hwy 1. Half Moon Bay is 30 Minutes South on Hwy 1.

My kids enjoyed the pool and being able to see the waves crash on the rocks right outside the hotel! Not much around the hotel, most of the small shops were closed on Tuesdays, or going out of business! Outside could use some work, but rooms were clean & current.

This hotel is very charming. I loved it. The staff was nice although we were not able to check out too late on the 1st of January. Tough to wake up after the celebration. But it is understandable. The location was great, right next to the ocean. Very romantic hotel. The restaurant/bar is very nice although a little pricey. Overall I recommend it to anyone who want a little getaway, away from the city.

Hotel was nice, clean rooms, very pretty beach right in front. However, contrary to the room descriptions online AND in the in-room binders, this hotel does allow pets - we saw someone with a dog everytime we were in the elevator and had a rather yappy neighbor. So if you're looking for a dog-friendly hotel, this is a good one. We probably will stay elsewhere next time, since we like to get AWAY from barking dogs on our vacations.

We were overall pleased by this hotel. Although, we were only there for the night and didn't spend much time in the hotel. In my opinion, it was a decent room. For those who are reasonable people, this was a decent hotel, especially for the ability to wake up right on the ocean. The only downfall (con) was that the sliding glass door could use some maintenance. I'm a fairly fit man and even I had to put my weight into trying to open the sliding glass door leading to the balcony.

Great Hotel location. Close to San Francisco and Half Moon Bay. The area around it is fun to shop and great food. Nicks is awesome! The view from the rooms facing the ocean is amazing.

The front desk area is updated. Staff were very friendly. Our stay was quiet although not a high occupancy noticed while we were there (Wed & Thurs). Our room was not updated, grouting needed in bath, carpet old as was hall carpet. Our beds were comfortable and breakfast was good. Not a bad ride into San Francisco, took maybe 20 minutes. Not a big selection in immediate area for meals or entertainment. Walking distance from ocean.

Thank You Hotels.Com. Every time we book through you, things turn out well! Upon our 7 A.M. arrival at the Best Western Pacifica, my wife and I were un-nerved tor find that Our reservation had not been received due to an apparently faulty Fax Machine. The Desk Clerk could not accommodate our extremely early arrival but would search diligently for our room by the 3 P.M. Check In. We returned at 6 P.M. and were given a room which matched our special request. After several trips between the Room and the Front Desk due to Faulty Key Cards, the Maintenance Technician got us settled into the room with replacement Key Cards. The room was VERY NICE with an excellent view of the Ocean and pleasant sounds of crashing waves. The only draw - backs were; a small Television, dirty Balcony Windows / Doors, and cups of Cigarette Butts on the Balcony (Non - Smoking)??? Overall it was a very pleasant stay in well placed this Hotel. "Surf's Up!!!

Beautiful hotel location on a beautiful beach next to the Sharp Park and bluffs and beaches. Awesome location and nice hotel with amazing views. Do stay here, and they are pet friendly!!!

Just okay! We paid a little extra for an ocean view and we got one, but we had to look over the ratty roof of the building in front of us to see it. The hotel has seen better days but it was good enough for what we paid.

This hotel took me by surprise. I booked it just based on the pictures, which made it look good, but the pictures always make it look good. But it's true to it's advertisement. It's located in a cute little shopping center in Pacifica tucked away off of the PCH. We walked down to the beach the first day and enjoyed walking around and getting our feet wet. The service was good and the room was comfortable. We utilized the hot tub and pool while we were there too. And it was only a short 20 minute drive into San Francisco, but far enough away that we felt like we weren't close to a big city. Overall, it was the location that we loved so much.

The ocean was right in front of the hotel so we got a peaceful sleep listening to the waves pound on the shore. The view from the room was great, but we were disappointed that the balcony was in need of repair, so we were unable to go out on it and room was a little pricey. It sits across from Nick's Place - great food and we danced the night away to live music. Overall a great experience and I would go back.

Pacifica's lighthouse hotel is located in a charming area. Great views from the room, with the sound of crashing waves instead of city traffic. Sprawling walking paths and beach access was a plus. The hotel was in the state of renovation, wet paint signs, rust, repairing windows, and the restaurant was closed, which made the building feel in disrepair. Even so, the rooms were great, clean, well decorated, down comforters, etc. It was a great location for us, in between san fran, the airport and driving tours down the coast. I would definately recommend the stay if you have a vehicle. Also, the hotels website stated booked, while hotels.com had a room available on the listing, even if at a higher rate than the hotels websites discount.

This Hotel was Nice the location was Great and had a Great View of the Pacific Ocean. The comuted to and from San Francisco only about a 15 mile drive was a breeze. I would recommend a stay here to others.

Nice room but could have done with air-conditioning. Communal areas and car park are a bit run-down. Overall impression was of a hotel that's almost there, but not quite.

The overall hotel property (parking, exterior, etc.) were pretty "coastal funky", but the rooms had been redone and were pretty good.

Very good value, clean room and better than you would expect from the outside, as being so close to the sea, the external appearance is looking a bit tired. The dinning hall was closed for re-furb so we eat accross the road.( Sept 2011) Overall a good place to stay in Pacifica which is not far from San Fran Int. airport , or the city itself.

Wondering why they put the hotel back away from the dining and banquet room, which you have to look over in your view of the ocean. Made no sense. Hotel is kind of ugly from the outside, though the rooms were large and very nice. Hotel breakfast in the morning was not sumptuous, but adequate.

We loved our short stay here, wish we would have stayed longer...it is ON the beach. We were able to open our slider door and look out on the ocean!! Beds were very comfortable, we slept very well listening to the ocean waves crashing. Staff was friendly and accomodating with our late arrival as well.

When we got there.... we were upgraded for free to a full ocean view huge suite and we only paid for a courtyard view room. The staff was friendly and recommended an excellent resturant across the street that served me the best scallop dish I have ever had!!!!!

Very comfy, great restaurant next door. The hotel restaurant was being renovated during my stay, but no problem finding a terrific place right next door. Housekeeping and other staff were great. Will be back for sure for another little get away.

Location was ideal for our stay in the Bay area with children. Beach was great to get to.

We had a view of the ocean and enjoyed it very much. The sliding glass door and screen opened so we could stick out our heads and see the surf. No balacony, but it was fine. Would have liked to have the option to secure the sliding door in a position that would prevent entrance so we could have enjoyed the sound of the waves throughout the night in security. The configuration of the hotel is somewhat odd which made it a little confusing (signage not that great). Clerk at the desk did not offer massage service (we didn't have time for it anyway but it wasn't offered and wasn't advertised in the vicinity of the desk). The clerk also did not offer any help with restaurants when we learned the hotel restraurant was closed. She pointed at Nick's next door (and they were great) but wasn't going out of her way. We liked the place overall, though.

We enjoyed what we could see of the ocean. If we had known so much of the view would be flat black roofs, would have asked for a room without others in front. The location is good and Nick's Restaurant, across the street, was excellent.

We had an awesome time! Mani/pedi's close/the ocean right outside our window/great paths to walk/the city close enough to drive to for dinner. drinks and movie!! And even surfing lessons plus Taco Bell for that late night snack! What more could girls ask for!! Can't wait to go back!

This is a great location. Scenic and easy to get to all the sights. Room was updated and clean. Staff very accomodating. The hotel is older and needs updating on the outside. But inside it's newer and nice. Love the hills and trails all around for walking and hiking. Taco Bell on the beach less than 1 mile south, great walk. Many surfers and a safe area.
