3 star rating appropriate. Some distance from restaurants, sites and train station. Smallest shower cubicle I have been in! Bedroom good size and staff were very helpful and courteous.

We stayed two nights. It was too far from the train depot to walk, so we took a ten euro cab ride to get there. Upon leaving, we had the hotel desk call for a cab, which we didn't realize adds five euro to the fare.... Not too big a deal, but a short walk and a cab could have been hailed from the street corner for less.. Aside from a noisy neighbor who we could hear, it was a fine choice. And there is a GREAT family run pizza place just a block further up the street.

There is not a lot I can say about this hotel that I was happy with. Just that I am glad to be out of there. The lobby was nice and I never tried the restuarant so I cant comment on that. Location is terrible, takes about 10 minutes by bus to anywhere central, only a supermarket, a garage and a small bar around the hotel that I could see, so you cant stroll out and enjoy the sights. The street also seems a bit dangerous at night, would not want to walk alone. The room was terrible. The bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have every slept in, pillows hard, just a sheet and a smelly blanket on top and I awoke with very strange looking spots, not saying there are bed bugs since I did not look for them but it might be. The carpet was smelly, my room was looking out to the road so the noise from the cars was very disturbing, the TV did not work the first night, the second I could get CNN ( they claim satelite TV) as the only english channel. The shower just dribbled and kept changing temperatures, I had shampoo in my hair all day long and felt very dirty that I could not clean myself. The tiles were cracked and the towels were just rags really, very thin and flimsy. The air con shut off at night so it was very hot in the room. The staff, while not downright rude, were not friendly at all. I very much wish I had spent a little more, stayed more central and been able to enjoy lovely Verona more since this really marred my trip there.

Great, cute hotel. Quick walk to all of the major sights. Good price, nice service. Highly recommend, enough said.

Good location that can be reached on the no. 41 bus to The local hospital. This isn't a 3 star hotel and the accommodation is basic. The air conditioning units weren't affective. Staff were helpful but facilities were limited, e.g., no iron. The hotel was quite expensive for the service provided.

I just returned from yet another fabulous trip to northern Italy, and I wanted to leave a quick review for the lovely Hotel Italia. I was looking to find a hotel that was comfortable and convenient for reaching central Verona, and Hotel Italia was exactly that! Like others have said, it takes about 15 minutes walking to get to the center, but I found that to be no problem at all. It was extremely easy to find my way around, and I enjoyed the short stroll back to the hotel in the evening. The hotel room itself was small but it had everything I needed and was very comfortable. Everyone who worked the front desk was extremely helpful in every way - from navigating me to the center to providing me with info on my next voyage to Lake Garda. If you're looking for a reasonably priced, friendly, and well-located hotel in Verona, Hotel Italia is it!

This hotel is great value: we were allocated a bright, fresh smelling, spacious room (no.307 may be slightly larger as it sleeps three) and enjoyed being reasonably close to the centre. The hotel is a 15 minute walk into town over the bridge, and is also located near a bus route to the centre and the train station. In addition to the decent continental breakfast, which we enjoyed in pleasant surroundings, (order your coffee from the adjacent bar counter at breakfast if you don't want it from the machine) we found the complimentay cup of tea served in the afternoon in the spacious foyer a nice touch after one particularly busy day's sightseeing. Friendly staff.

Positives - easy 10 minute walk into town, friendly staff, car parking (though quite expensive), quite cheap room rate Negatives - room wasn't very good at all (ugly, single beds, quite noisy, blacked-out skylight windows); breakfast buffet was poor, and understaffed; overall quite characterless Verona is busy, particularly during the opera season, and this was the closest to town we could find. We may go to Verona again but we wouldn't stay here.

The service, and size of the room was exceptional for Europe. The front desk was always pleasant, helpful when needed, and easy to work with. The housekeeping did a great job with the cleanliness, while still respecting my belongings. The laundry service was affordable, quick, and done well. This was a great hotel!

Convenient 10 minute walk to the delightful old town city centre. Very good buffet breakfast and helpful reception staff. We would definitely use it again.

The whole experience was excellent. We arrived well before the check-in time, but the hotel was trying its best to find us a room. Moreover, when we asked for a better room, the hotel was more than helpful to show us rooms for us to select and we ended up having our beautiful room without any extra charge. While staying there for three nights, we were absolutely happy with everything. First of all, the hotel staffs spoke perfect English answering all our requests with ease. The hotels served free breakfast with good food. We still remembered asking for two wine glasses from a hotel in New York City only to be turned down and asked us to buy their wine, although we had a dinner in the hotel restaurant. Meanwhile, at the hotel here, we were given two beautiful wine glasses with great courtesy although the hotel also had its own wine bar. The hotel staffs were also very helpful in recommending us good restaurants both nearby the hotel and also in the center of Verona. The restaurant nearby the hotel, "Pizzeria Mameli Restorante" was indeed the best Italian restaurant we had experienced after visiting many cities in Italy for more than ten times. The people in the area nearby the hotel were also very friendly. We had also visited a bar nearby the hotel located on the right hand side of the hotel (How could we forget the name? It was like a German bar). This bar was a great small place and we had a lot of fun with all people there. This stay reflected a real friendly Italian life.

Nice enough hotel, but more in a residential neighbourhood... so need to take a taxi to and from train station if you have luggage. Also, not much happening around it, so walking in teh evening not pleasant. Otherwise a great little hotel with really friendly and helpful staff.

I was pleasantly surprised! A lovely clean, small, quiet hotel. Staff were wonderful. Breakfast was continental and my only complaints are the coffee is terrible (especially for Italy) and my mattress was a bit worn. This hotel was about a 15 minute walk into town.

Situé à 10' à pied du centre historique mais dans une rue de grand trafic (chambres en façade très bruyantes si vous souhaitez aérer durant la nuit) Ma chambre single était très petite alors que la salle de douche était énorme...Sinon, c'est propre et sympa.

Hotel molto comodo per chi ama spostarsi a piedi. Vicinissimo al centro storico, si presta bene anche per chi vuole godersi le bellezze della città di Verona. Servizio dell'Hotel ottimo, rapporto qualità prezzo buono.

Es confortable y bien atendido, senti no obstante la falta de un frigobar en la habitacion porque hacia calor y deseaba tomar algo fresco

Hotellet ligger i et rolig området, ca 15.min spasertur til gamlebyen. Man kan låne sykler fra hotellet som er gratis. Absolutt og anbefale. Hotellet holder god mellomklassestandard. Små dobbeltrom, men badene var romslig. Alt i alt, helt ok. Personalet snakket bra engelsk og er serviceminded. Frokosten er helt ok, du får det du trenger. Vi var veldig godt fornøyd med oppholdet.

Hotel Italia in Verona provides a soft, pleasant relaxing environment, the service is impeccable, and the location is very convenient. I am strongly recommending this hotel, and will be lookiung forward to staying there once I am again in Verona

Das Hotel liegt 10min zu Fuss vom historischen Zentrum entfernt. Bushaltestelle schräg vis-a-vis. Supermarkt, Pizzaladen 50m entfernt, Tankstelle gegenüber. Am Wochenende kann gratis vor dem Hotel geparkt werden, Hotelgarage kann um 12,-/Tag genutzt werden. Wurden die erste Nacht im Dachgeschoss untergebracht: Zimmer unbehaglich groß, gleich unter dem Dach, gefliester Boden, nur ein kleines Fenster zur Straße, Dachflächenfenster mit Holz abgedeckt - daher fast kein Tageslicht, TV-Empfang schlecht, Badezimmer klein, E-Heizkörper im Zimmer kalt, im Bad lauwarm. Auf Nachfrage wegen der Zimmertemperatur wurde uns gesagt, dass momentan die Generalklimaanlage gewartet werde und deshalb wohl die Heizung nicht funktioniere. Wir wurden in einem anderen Zimmer am dritten Stock untergebracht, das im Gegensatz zum vorherigen mindestens einen Stern mehr verdient hätte: Zimmer etwas kleiner, Teppichboden, Balkon, TV-Empfang gut, Badezimmer größer und vor allem warm, E-Heizkörper im Zimmer nach wie vor kalt. Frühstück war OK, drei Sorten Wurst-/Schinken, Käse, Marmelade, Butter, Nutella, Honig, verschiedene Kaffee-/Teesorten, Fruchtsaft (Instant), Obst, Weiss-/Toastbrot (Toaster vorhanden) und diverses Süssgebäck/Kuchen. Alles in allem abgesehen von der Temperatur in den Zimmern ein Hotel mit gutem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in zentraler Lage.

Das Hotel Italia befindet sich unweit von der schönen idyllischen Altstadt von Verona. Die Zimmer sind mit dem nötigen Komfort ausgestattet die benötigt werden. Die Farben passen leider nicht zusammen und in der Dusche bekommt man Platzangst weil es so eng ist. Die Zimmer haben leider einen starken Geschmack nach Amoniak Reiniger, welcher leider fast nicht aus dem Zimmer zu bringen ist. Die Wände sind hellhörig und man kann fast mithören was die Nachbarn so miteinander sprechen oder was dort im TV läuft.. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig und man sollte bei der Bedienung einen feinen Cappucino bestellen und nicht den aus dem Automaten trinken. Das Hotel ist mit dem Auto gut erreichbar. Die Buslinien 70, 71 und 21 halten unweit des Hotels. Die Buschauffeure sind sehr hilfsbereit wenn es darum geht an der richtigen Haltestelle auszusteigen. In der Umgebung hat es viele Sehenswürdigkeiten die gut zu Fuss erreichbar sind..

Vi søkte et hotell innefor gangavstand til gamlebyen samtidig som vi ønsket komfort. Hotel Italia oppfylte begge disse kriteriene. 15 min gange til Arenaen med operaforestilling.

Good hotel to explore the beautiful city of Verona. From the hotel it's a 5 minute walk to the centre of the old city. Easy to park your car, and it isn't expensive. the hotel itself isn't the most luxurious one but for our needs it was perfect! Good price, good room and good breakfast and walking distance to city.
