Very nice hotel with very helpful staff and great location. Room small but comfortable and clean.

very relaxing , modern calm atmosphere , internet services not really available in the room and double bed may mean two singke beds ! but if confort and location are a priority book online for good value for you money.

Everything was great! Very comfortable beds make up for the small room. Best hotel breakfast we experienced in our two week trip in Greece. Hermes is a Wonderful family hotel, but also good for romance too, with a cozy rooftop patio... my husband and I enjoyed a glass of wine and views of the acropolis ... They even held our bags for a few day while we took a side trip. Staff was truley amazing! Highly recommended!

Great Location. Good breakfast. Wi-fi in hotel was offline for extended periods. Had an issue with the door key not working but was fixed very promptly. Service was excellent by all hotel staff.

This is a TRULY OUTSTANDING choice. The Hermes is extremely well located in Athens ancient quarter, Plaka. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful (they all speak good English); the price very good. The included breakfasts are just OUTSTANDING--great variety and quality. We really had no complaints about this outstanding, medium-sized hotel in the heart of Athens.

The hotel is well located for walking distance to all major sites in Athens. It is also close to many restaurants. The staff is very accommodating and suggested many walking tours of the city. We stayed there for 4 nights before leaving for a cruise and then returned again for 1 night before leaving for the airport. We had a very early flight and had to leave around 4am, and they still arranged coffee and breakfast for us at that time.

the staff was very nice and helpful. the room was nice, please make sure if you order a double bed that is not to beds attached to each other. Breakfast could be a little more abundant. OVER ALL IS A VERY GOOD HOTEL!!!

I stayed once a year in the last 2 years in this clean, modernized nice hotel and had a confirmed prepaid, non cancelable reservation again this year.We arrived heavily loaded with luggage and were surprised learning at reception that they were overbooked and could only accommodate us for 1 night.as we did not want to move, they refered us to their much less attractive sister Plaka hotel at the same prepaid rate.We had to schlepp again there but at least they helped securing a decent lodging. Unfortunate experience, probably related to a lack of updating with Expedia by the hotel.

This is a family run hotel with outstanding service. The owners went out of their way to make sure that everything was very comfortable for our stay with a 6 month old baby (e.g., loaning us a big bucket to give our baby a bath on the balcony). We had a wonderful room with a balcony overlooking the outdoor pool. The breakfasts included in the price of the booking were truly delicious, and unlike many hotels, breakfast was offered until noon everyday (which is a huge help when you are working on the schedule of a baby and a different time zone). My only criticism is that while the hotel room was very clean when we arrived, it did not get well cleaned during our stay.

fab location, just bertween Syntagma Square, Plaka, Monasteraki...well equipped clean and comfortable, excellent included breakdfast, Great price. This hotel is lovely, but it is the staff where the Hermes shines best, professional..from reception, to housekeeping, and the wonderful lady in the breakfast area. This hotel is owned by the same folks that run the well respected and beloved Plaka Hotel, as well as the new Athens Center Square...obviously a seasoned operator.

Some people complained on here about the size of the elevator...wtf...it is Europe. Just enjoy those differences. This is a great hotel. If you plan to play full court basketball in the room, then try the hilton, but this is ideal for one or two in a double room who come to Athens to see the sites. I had a great stay and was well treated. Good breakfast, a complementary glass of wine when I arrived. I was happy.

This is the classic cheap big-city-hotel. The type in which there's only a sleepy old clerk at the reception, followed by a slow tiny elevator. Non-luxury. Rooms are scarce, small and beds are simple and inexpensive, clean though. Location is good, neighborhood safe. Here you get what you pay for. Good to spend the night but don't expect VIP.

This hotel is small and nice but the excellent thing about it is the location, you are near to everything, I really recomend it!!

We only stayed one night at this small, convenient hotel, but were very pleased with it. The taxi driver who drove us there said, "Oh, Hermes is nice hotel, very clean" - and he was right. The reception staff was extremely helpful with directions and let us store our luggage before we checked in. We didn't try the Continental breakfast, so can't give it a rating. The room was a decent size (not much view, but opening window), updated, tiled bathroom with tub, two single beds pushed together, and a pleasant Scandinavian look to the furnishings. The walls weren't thick, but I doubt if the usual clientele would be rowdy types. Rates were reasonable and there was an elevator (small!) to get you to the upper floors. Work is being done on the roof to allow a good view of the Acropolis. And if you want to be near the "fun" part of Athens, the Plaka district is the place to be. You can walk out the Hermes Hotel door into all the shopping and eating places you'll ever want or need. The only downside is the ever-present Athens traffic. We're in our late 60's, very fit, but even so had to remember that streets in this old part of town are narrow and traffic doesn't stop for slowpokes. We'd definitely go back to the Hermes again if we were in Athens.

Good location walking distance to the Acropolis and restaurants. There is no good street in Athens, all streets dirty, graffiti walls, smelly. Hotels is clean and modern, better than most we've seen in Athens. They don't have free Internet, got to pay $2 EU per hour and then wait an hour fornthe page too load.

The hotel was located in an area convienent to all the major sites. A nice hotel with an extremely helpful staff. at breakfast one of the staff would go around to the tables and answer any questions and make reccomendations. Very helpful. The only complaint, which was minor because we were not in the room that much was that the room was tiny. It did not take away from our enjoyable stay at the hotel.

Great Location Hotel Hermes has a great location and is where you would like to stay if you want reasonable comfort and a good experience. The staff is really friendly and all the essentials were present in the hotel I was traveling from Dubai and needed an adapter for my phone chager. In the middle east the sockets are different than the ones in Europe. The had all sorts of adapters to choose from and were more than happy to lend me one. Over all if you are not going to spend a lot... for a 5 star experience, I would highly recommend it .

einfach ideal für einen städtetrip, sehr zuvorkommendes, hilfsbereites personal! jederzeit wieder!

Rolig placering bag katedralen, midt i plaka bydelen, der er det gamle Athen. Perfekt værelse, super venlig og prof service. Fantastisk til tilbudsprisen. det var inkl udemærket morgenmad. Ps der er to taverner i gyden overfor, glimrende græsk mad til ingen penge. Meget rare mennesker.

Det blev et dejligt ophold, servicen var helt i top, blev hver morgen spurgt om vi var tilfredse og om der var noget de kunne gøre for os, fint morgen bord, der manglede aldrig noget, fik nye håndklæder hver dag.

ロケーションはシンタグマ広場の空港バス発着所から徒歩５分ほどと便利な場所にあり、パルテノン神殿へも徒歩圏内です。 朝食時に女性スタッフが「何か問題はありませんでしたか？」とテーブルごとに声をかけているのが印象的でした。私たちのテーブルにみえた際に質問をすると即答できない回答については食事をしている間にわざわざネットで調べてくださり、メモ書きにして、渡してくださいました。これにはとても感激しました。フロントや他のスタッフの対応も良く、お客様に満足してもらえるホテルを目指したいという姿勢が感じ取られ、好感がもてました。 バスルームは少し、狭く感じましたが、お部屋の清潔感は保たれていました。

Its comfortable and near in maintown that place in convenient, with wifi but the lift is too small in old style only can only space in two people and luggages.

Das Hotels liegt zentral, aber ruhig. Das Hotel zeichnet sich durch freundliches und aufmerksames Personal aus. Einzigartig ist auch die allmorgentliche persönliche Beratung für die Gäste bei individuellen Tagestouren durch eine Angestellte. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind sehr sauber! Vorteilhaft sind ausreichend Ablageflächen in den Zimmern und auch in den Bädern. Die Räume sind zweckmäßig und entsprechen einem drei Sterne Standart. Vorteilhaft fanden wir die festen Matrazen, große Spiegel und das Vorhandensein von zusätzlichen Decken. Die Heizung (im Sommer als Klimaanlage) funktionierte einwandfrei. Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreich und vielfältig. Warmes und Kaltes, Süßes und Herzhaftes wurde auch ständig nachgereicht. Der Blick von der Hotelterasse auf die Akropolis und die Altstadt ist wirklich schön. Sehr angenehm ist der kostenlose Service einer Tasse Kaffee oder Tee im Hotelfoyer, das Wlan sowie die Möglichkeit die Flugtickets auszudrucken. Es war ein extrem erholsamer und schöner Aufenthalt und wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder hier her!!!!!

Friendly staff, great service

部屋はエコノミータイプでしたので広くはありませんでしたが、キレイでした。フロントもキビキビ働いていました マッサージが安くてよかったです 朝食もいろいろと種類があり、クノッソス行きのバス停も徒歩圏内です

Ca 40 minutter fra flyplassen. Helt ok og rimelig hotell, med nærhet til de viktigste severdigheter. Hadde bare en overnatting, så kjekt med gangavstand til Akropolis og de nærmeste turist attraksjoner. Helt grei frokost buffet. Hyggelig resepsjon.

Conveniently located, close to Plaka and the Acropolis. On a bit run-down but safe street. The hotel is nice and stuff is super helpful and friendly, room a bit small, but we were 2 adults and 2 kids. Overall, a pleasent experience, we would certainly go back.
