Catalonia Punta Cana - All Inclusive - بونتا كانا

March 16-23, 2013 We loved it. Just a few easily resolved issues. Since we booked thru hotels.com, we didn't have airport transport included. They put us in the wrong vehicle. We saw other resorts as people in the van were dropped off. Then they realized we were in the wrong taxi, but we were taken to our resort. Language barrier. Then leaving the resort, they thought we had pre-arranged transport. Took about half an hour with no one taking us for me to get them to get us a taxi. Language again. At the resort about the only thing that caused very slight issues was a shower curtain not long enough to keep water IN the shower (so we used the tub with hose/shower head. Sometimes the water wasn't hot. I have back issues, so the hard bed was a problem after the first night. I asked for 3 blankets, which I tri-folded and put under the bottom sheet, giving me 9 layers of softening. We loved the resort. Large pool and beach great. Lots of chairs/shaded areas. Never felt crowded. Food was good for buffets. Lots of variety. Ate in the Italian, Japanese and Steak restaurants. All great. We definitely recommend Catalonia Bavaro. Just one word about coming home. The airport is small and under-staffed. On a Saturday, thousands of people are leaving. TWO people checking passports. Make sure you allow a LOT of time to get thru all that. We were there 3 hours before our flight, and we only waited about half an hour for our flight boarded.

My experience at Cantalonua was consistent with most of the other reviewers. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily. Plenty of towels and bottled water. The food was okay and in line with what I expected from an AI. Same with the liquor. Wish the jacuzzi was heated, but no biggie. We enjoyed the daily entertainment, pleasant staff, and beautiful surroundings. Would visit again.

very good, nice staff, good food, great beach & other things

for the most part it was a very nice stay . the staff were all awesome and most spoke english which is a bonous when you dont speak spanish . the food was average to very good . the buffet was overall a good mix and good hours . the other places to eat were hit and miss . the asian one was great , the mexican , so so and the italian was not open when we wanted to go , so cant say . this is a huge layout so it was a long walk to all the big food venues . we were at the far end , good in some ways though . close to the great pool and beach . there are some places to eat there , but not as much choice as up front . you can only get free beer in your room , we wanted rum , so we had to go to the bar and when that shuts down , your kinda screwed , unless you go buy your own . the room was very comfy ( king bed ) but the pillows sucked . lots of room for 2 of us with sofa and chairs . their beach is wicked and lots of seating down there . the water was so warm and clean . i would tell friends to stay here, just be ready for lots of walks !

Great hotel, great staff, only problem was the internet. I booked because i thought there was Wi-Fi in the room, but the signal wasn't strong enough. You could only use it in the lobby or guest services. Everything else was great!

The stay was OK.... Been there before and my stay was much nicer. A basic comfort was lacking and that was the bed. Had way toooo many miles on it. I would have asked for another room but had already moved once because the AC was out in the prior room. In fact the AC was out in the whole complex for about four days (Chiller system). Service staff are tops! Management needs work. I would only stay there again only if I could get one sweet deal.

This is a beautiful resort with good food, great beach and pools , and excellent service

Reali very nice hotel.

Everything was great though we didint get our of the room that much. The food was incredible but it was a long walk from our room to the main restaurant. We had 24 hour room service and thats fine but some things I like to get them myself, like the ice, I had to make a call and wait for the room service to bring me some.

Everythings was fantastic except the information near to desk. They were two girls and we request to make a phone call. And the answer was that we are not allow to make phone call from the information desk only in an imergency case. We are sorprise for that because our stay in other other at babaro, they provide all kind of service. In my opinion all the service was fantastic except this service at information desk, near to the check-in and out service. The next year we will expecting to be there agains. Thank you for everything you did for us.

The staff were fantastic. They were attentive professional and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure I had a wonderful stay. It helps to know some Spanish especially when ordering a rum and coke (Quiero un cuba libre) I think it adds to the experience and they appreciate the effort. I recommend getting the room in the privilege suite. I really enjoyed the hammock on the balcony. I don't remember being in my mom's belly but laying in that thing was pretty close. The design of the resort was masterfully done leaving me with the feeling of being in my personal Garden of Eden ;-) especially at night. Wasn't a big fan of the buffet. The japanese restaurant was a really cool experience. Take a camera. There are plenty events at the resort and they can set you up with excursions outside the hotel easily that are really fun. I met a lot of people from around the world. I will definitely be back to the DR and I will stay here.

The food at the hotel was terrible, the service and view were great. If you go all inclusive go somewhere with better food. It ruins your trip if you have to constantly dread eating!

Our room was right on the ocean and pool side. The landscaping gorgeous, the lobby and buffet all outside and beautiful. The beach gorgeous w/ lots of palm trees. Go off to the right and you have locals selling items that you need to talk down in price. Rum was great, drank it on the rocks, and had a blast at the pool bar, get shots of mamajuanas. The hotel crew were happy, nice and alot of fun. My sister is going next week and will be staying here now. The room was nice and updated.

Food was great, staff very nice, hotel room excellent. The only cons were shows on the pool and the beach were not on time and protect from the mosquitoes.

Hotel ótimo, muito bonito, arborizado e aconchegante. Peca somente na qualidade do restaurante principal.

TODO FUE CORRECTO. NOS ASIGNARON UNA HABITACION PRIVILEGED, A METROS DE LA PLAYA Y DE LA PICINA. ESO NOS DIO MUCHA COMODIDAD. LA COMIDA ES RICA Y VARIADA, PERO LUEGO EN OTRO HOTEL DE LA MISMA CADENA, DESCUBRI QUE PUEDE SER MAS VARIADA! EL GRUPO DE ANIMACION ES MUY BUENO Y LOS ESPECTACULOS EN EL TEATRO EXCELENTES.

Séjour agréable dans un lieu avec un magnifique jardin.Propreté des chambre très correcte avec une bonne qualité de service.Nous avons été également surpris par le buffet qui était très varié et de bonne qualité, nous avions lu en effet de mauvaises apréciations à ce sujet.Un point négatif, il faut être très matinal pour pouvoir bénéficier d'un transat sur la plage car les gens réservent avec des serviettes très tôt.Le personnel est très efficace et aimable.

部屋はきちんと掃除されていましたが、タオルも家具もだいぶ使い込まれた様子でした。それ以外は、食事の質、量、エンターテイメント、設備など、すべてにおいて期待以上で家族全員が大満足でした。年に三回は海外旅行に出ていますが、子供達(高校生と中学生)が「来年もここに来たい」と言ったのは、このホテルが初めてです。特にスタッフのサービスが素晴らしかったです。どのスタッフもいつもにこやかで、細やかな心配りをしてくれ、どんなときもゲストが楽しめるようにと動いてくれていました。一週間の滞在中、嫌な思いなど全くさせられなかったどころか、いろいろな気配りに感心させられることばかりでした。お部屋の古さを補って余りある、サービスの素晴らしさです。家族旅行やお友達とのグループ旅行に、強くオススメします！

Me pareció muy buena, la limpieza, la atención al cliente, los espacios es muy buena. El servicio es excelente aunque en los bares se ven sobrepasados y hay veces que hay que esperar (o dar una buena propina).Las comidas variadas y sabrosas, especialmente en los restoranes temáticos que destaco el de comida japonesa y el Rodeo, muy buena atención y muy sabrosa comida.

Hotellet sträcker sig över en stor yta som är välskött och med fina promenadvägar. Vi hade tur att få våra rum i ett hus nära pool och strand där det var väldigt lugnt på kvällarna. Sängarna och kuddarna var sköna. Wi-fi uppkopplingen fungerade för det mesta. Maten var helt ok och personalen var hjälpsam. Många bra aktiviteter ordnades inom hotellområdet. Bra med skuggmöjligheter på stranden av palmer och parasoller.

o hotel e maravilhoso,tem mta estrutura,varios restaurante e voce pode usar todos sem reserva e sem limite por estadias como em muitos outros,os funcionarios sao maravilhosos,super animados,tudo no hotel e maravilhoso a nao ser o servico de quarto que e muito ruim,nao e limpo,fiquei 10 dias la e nesse tempo as camareiras apenas faziam as camas e trocavam as toalhas,ele n era varrido,roupas de cama nao foram trocadas nenhum dia,o q no final estava horrivel pois tinha areia da praia pelo quarto todo ja q ele nao era limpo,o frigobar nao funcionava mto bem,pedimos q fossem olhar e ninguem apareceu,travesseiros muito ruins e pedimos mais(nos 4 primeiros dias,varias vezes por dia) sempre falavam q levariam e nunca chegavam! Resumindo o servico e ruim,mas a estrutura do hotel e muito boa,vale a pena se vc n se esquentar e aproveitar apenas o q o hotel tem de bom!

Excelente estadia, o Catalônia Bavaro não deixa nada a desejar. Os brasileiros são tratados com muito entusiasmo pelos funcionários do hotel, equipe de animação, bares e restaurantes. Uma praia muito linda com belas acomodações. Não se deixe levar pelos comentários das algas, elas não atrapalham em nada, nem tão pouco tiram a beleza do local, pelo contrário, se vistas com bom olhos demonstram belezas naturais incríveis. Piscina nota dez, assim como o bar molhado. Ambiente para todas as classes, crianças, jovens, famílias e idosos de diversas partes do mundo, todos se respeitando mutuamente. Alimentação de primeira qualidade. Shows noturnos muito agradáveis com interação do público, brincadeiras e ao ar livre. Música ao vivo após ao show no bar e depois discoteca em ambiente climatizado. Ressalto aos brasileiros, somos muito bem tratados e bem vistos pela equipe do Catalônia, eles nos admiram muito.

Para ser un hotel de cinco estrellas, el Catalonia es el peor. Estuvimos desde el 9 al 13 de julio del 2012 hospedados en ese hotel y el primer dia tuvieron que cambiarnos de habitacion, ya que la cama estaba llena de alti-bajos e inclinada hacia el medio, las cortinas llenas de moho y rotas y el acondicionador de aire y el mini bar, no enfriaban. La segunda habitacion no fue nada del otro mundo, el acondicionador no enfriaba bien y por las noches pasabamos calor. Las instalaciones del hotel estan descuidadas, los estanques artificiales estan feos y el agua verde. La comida del buffet es poco variada, sin sabor y con poca presentacion. La bebida tambien es de mala calidad. Al dia siguiente de haber llegado, ya queriamos marcharnos. Comunicamos nuestra mala experencia a la recepcion, nos refirieron a la jefa de conserjería, quien nos escuchó, tomó notas y prometió hacer algo para agradarnos y compensar nuestra mala experiencia. Nunca recibimos ni siquiera una disculpa por escrito, mucho menos un gesto de agrado. Los restaurantes tematicos estan descuidados y sin climatizador, el calor es insoportable en el restaurant Japonés y la comida deja mucho que desear. En fin, no vale la pena ir a este hotel, se puede conseguir algo mucho mejor por el mismo precio.

Eles vendem este hotel como em Bávaro mas na verdade é em Cabeza del toro, que é em uma ponta isolada de Bávaro longe das principais atrações de Punta Cana e Bávaro. A praia não é muito bonita como nos hotéis centrais de Bávaro. Para se sair do hotel SOMENTE com um táxi que custa 40 dólares para ir ao centrinho de Bávaro e mais 40 para voltar. NÃO EXISTE nenhum outro trasporte como ônibus, van do hotel etc..Vc fica preso no hotel e somente pagando caro patra sair. Agora falando do hotel propriamente dito é muito bom, os serviços excelentes, a comida excelente, o quarto excelente mas a praia mais ou menos. Pela localização NÃO RECOMENDO.

Realmente valeu a pena a estada no Catalonia, a infraestrutura do hotel é muito boa e realmente o all inclusive por la funciona, não paguei nada a mais por comida e bebida e tinha o dia todo a vontade nos bares e restaurantes. Até churrasco na beira da piscina teve.. Os funcionarios tambem são muito atenciosos e a praia na frente é sensacional, voltarei com certeza a Punta Cana e ficarei novamente no catalonia. Recomendo a todos.

hotel muito bom, tudo liberado mesmo, comida e bebida, muita animação dos animadores, aconchegante resort numa praia paradisíaca.

Estive pela segunda vez no Hotel Catalonia. É muito bem instalado e estruturado, o ambiente de piscina se integra muito bem com à praia, quase como se fosse um único espaço de lazer. Os shows são de boa qualidade. O ponto forte na minha opinião é a equipe de animação e os atendentes dos bares. O serviço perdeu qualidade desde a última vez, as reposições no quart deixaram a desejar - esperei 4 dias por um traveseiro. A internet nos quartos é mito ruim também, dificilmente se consegue conexão. MAs no geral a nota é boa

Tout est bon dans cet Hotel, je n'ai rien compris aux autres avis. J'avais des doutes, mais c'est un pays formidable ou les gens se plient en quatre pour vous servir, en chambre privilège, la chambre était tours impeccable, frigo toujours a jour de boisson. Les restaurants a thèmes avec service impeccable. Sushi avec table tournante. En un mot excellent

Nous sommes content d' avoir fait ce choix très bel hotel avec un personnel super gentille agréable! Nous y retournerons cela est sûre!

Très bel hotel à la plage.Section privilège permettant la proximité de la plage et l'accès aux restaurants de spécialité de grande qualitéle soir. Seul bémol l'insuffisance en nombre de zones d'ombre sur la plage. Plage très propre nettoyée de ses algues tous les matins. Beaucoup de personnel au service de la propreté et de l'esthétique des lieux(ramassage des verres, entretien des jardins....)

el hotel esmuy bonito sus alrededores y demas cosas ,el grupo de animacion esta por el suelo es muy malo el entretenimiento la comidad del bufef es orrible es toda una porqueria el restaurante la toscana hacen una comida que es para perros. los empleado de los bares son prepotentes. pero todo los demas estubo bien.

Hotel com excelente localização e estrutura, possui ambiente ideal para férias em família. Funcionárias atenciosos e educados, entreterimento de ótimo nível e demais serviços de excelente qualidade, tornam o Catalonia Hotel um atrativo a mais em Punta Cana. De um modo geral dois aspectos ficam a desejar neste hotel, sendo eles a comida e a praia. A comida porque os restaurantes nao sao climatizados e o café da manha e o almoço ficam comprometidos no sentido de que frutas, sucos, saladas, frios, ficam a tempertura ambiente, ou seja, quentes com risco de vc ingerir algo estragado. A praia porque é muito pequena e nao tem nenhuma onda, parece uma piscina com algas, logo todos ficam na unica piscina do hotel. O quarto é bom e os restaurantes para jantar tambem. Os funcionarios nao sao muito simpaticos.

Dieses Hotel bietet ein sehr angenehmes Ambiente, guten Service, freie Wlan-Nutzung und viele weitere Dienste, die in anderen Hotels der Gegend kostenpflichtig sind. Die Klimaanlage war leise und wirksam, die Zimmer angenehm und gut ausgestattet. Das Essen war reichhaltig, wenngleich wir vom Geschmack schon bessere Küchen kennengelernt haben.

O hotel é ótimo mas o quarto que nós pegamos, além de ter uma barata e maçaneta da porta sair na nossa mão, tinha um box muito pequeno e água com pouca pressão.

Point fort; Animation et mini club, beaucoup de gaieté de chaleur et d'attention à notre satisfaction. Accueil, reception, le personel en général, ont un sourire destressant et toujours prèt à nous servire. Excélante Qualité en tout point de vue. Point faible et décevant surtout à l'arrivé, le service de transport de bagages aux chambres, à faire soit même ou attendre indéfiniment, et le manque de transat à la piscine dès 8 heures le matin.
