the stay was OK. i felt a little awkward walkin though the lobby to the elevator, the front desk staff would watch me the whole time and not even say hello or anything, but who really cares, i was there for the comfy king size beds that they have, so comfy that you can bearly hear the train hooking and unhooking up every few hours.

Everything was pretty good, except the train going past was loud, and woke us up in the night.

If you wish to sleep, I would recommend a different place. There are trains that constantly go by all night long!! They are so close that the windows in the Hotel vibrate! I will never go back!!

The maid had neglected to pick up condoms left by the guest previous to our stay. It was gross.

Everything within this hotel is quite satisfactory. However, in order to recommend it to other travelers it would be necessary to include a caution. Avoid staying in a room at the back of the hotel. Train tracks run adjacent to the hotel property. Noise from the train traffic prevented a good night's sleep. Even good interior decor, maintenance, cleanliness could not overcome train noise throughout the night.

We were met by a sour reseptionist. We came in contact with other welcoming reseptionists during our stay, but this lady obviously had the wrong job:) Otherwise my big negative about our stay at this hotel is that the railway is right next to the hotel(10 meters). It made our nights quite noisy. The aircondition was very loud, so we had to choose, a fresh and cool room, or a somewhat quiet room(except from the railway then that is...) Good breakfast, very clean, nice cleaning ladies!

The restaurant was a good family restaurant. there was mould in the pool and on the wall. the train is right behind the hotel and kept us up all night.

The hotel is situated a good 10 15 minute drive south of the city centre, but it is quite close to several dining decent options. Rooms were not what you'd expect at a top notch place, but they were pleasantly very good, althought the bathroom was quite abysmal. Excellent bed, free wireless internet, and good people on the front desk. Downstairs bar was a good quiet place to do some face to face business. I do recommend that you ask for a room with an even number, as these are on the west side of building and away from the train line. I did not notice any train noise.

We didn't do a whole lot in the hotel, just pretty much slept and got ready for the Day. The hotel was very clean and well kept, although I was very frustrated at the fact, we asked house keeping to not come into the room and they still came in to clean anyways- I am not sure why this happened and when I called front desk to inform them they were not able to offer anything not even a reason as to why!

Ask for a room with an even number. the odd numbered rooms are on the site of the hotel next to the train tracks. The trains were so loud at night that the windows rattled. Perhaps some sound proof windows would help.

Loud because of a banquet right below us, when i phoned to complain i was told it was because i smoke i got this room. It was never mentioned or apologised about. So if you smoke you deserve a crappy room and rest is not important. I asked a few questions of the front desk staff and the reply was "i dont know" and they never tried to find out the answers. No customer service satisfaction.

WORST BATHROOM I'VE EVER SEEN. COUNTER COVERED IN CIGARETTE BURNS , SINK VERY WELL WORN.

Everytime I travel I like to stay at the Greenwood. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and spacious. I would reccommend the Greenwood to any traveler.

It was a good hotel overall but at night there was a train coming right at the back and it was really loud and it distrubed sleeping that was our only issue,but overall we would rate the hotel a 4.

Light sleepers beware!!! Noisy, busy train tracks right out your back door. Nice clean rooms though...

Checkin was easy and smooth. I had been driving for many hours and was looking forward to a relaxing evening. Tried to rent a movie but the system said my room had been locked out. Called Customer service and she said it should be up and running in a few minutes - it wasn't and nobody followed up even after I called again. It's not so much about the movie, it's the lack of follow-up that bothers me. I stay in a lot of hotels during the course of the summer and I have my favourites and I'm looking for a good hotel on the south side of the city and I'm not sure if I would go back to this one. It was quite clean and for the most part, comfortable but when problems occur I would like to feel like they would be dealt with.

When you are booking online the hotel gives their worst rooms, rooms facing railway line. Their are few trains passing in the night which make noise and disturb sleep. If you ask for room change the front desk tells you, you booked online and the train side are the rooms they book, if you want room on the other side you have to give $10 per night more. These are not the terms which we book the room at and service at the hotel is not friendly to take care of customers.

Room was very nice. We had read the warnings about train noise and there certainly was some, but not enough to make us avoid this hotel in the future. Great value. Two resturants on site and 1 right next door. Shopping very close as well.

Clean, central location for South Side, two choices for food. Rear facing rooms get train noise...but it didn't bother me.

We enjoyed our stay and would certainly stay there again. The staff were warm, friendly and very accomodating. The room was pleasantly bright and comfortable. Easy access to events or shopping at the southend of the city and on main corridor to downtown. The attached restaurant was also very good for breakfast.

The hotel was very comfortable and conveniently located near the airport. The railway runs right behind the hotel but it didn't worry us at all. The restaurants were very accommodating especially as we arrived after hours.

Overall it is a good hotel but it backs too railroad tracks and is extremely noisy at night. Trains ran late at night.
