Hotel Maria Elena Palace - مدريد

When we booked the room we asked for a quiet room in the upper floor. We also told about the late arrival. We had paid the room in advance. When arrving to the hotel at nine pm on Friday we got the last room on the street side where near by was a night club. Very loud noise from the night club went on until six o'clock in the morning. At seven o'clock came the carbage truck. The wish for the quiet room had no effect.

Hotel was in an excellent location down a side street but a few minutes walk from Sol. The hotel was a nice 4 star with pleasant staff.

Hotel is very nice, clean with great service and food. It was a grat choice but it is located in and alley and the area is not so nice, specially at night

We found this hotel to be very clean with lots of open lobby space. Breakfast buffets were bountiful with very fast cleanup service. Location is excellent - close to everything but very private Only one suggestion - internet service policy should be relaxed

This is a comfortable hotel which is in a very central location but is off the main road so is nice and quiet. We had the breakfast which was good value. I would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of a break in Madrid.

I stayed there for 6 nights. Hotel is in the center of it all and you could walk to 3 different metro stations from there. I was in the attic room. Though it sounds "penthouse" style - but in the attic you have all the disadvantages of a low roof. Overall hotel is in good condition, with very good breakfast.

No way this is a 4 star hotel. The location is about a block from strip joints with prostitutes lining the street. Nearby storefronts are filled with graffiti. The room is small and claustrophobic, although the multi-jet shower is refreshing. If you choose to stay in this hotel, please ask for an inside room, as the loud music from nearby discos will go on through early hours of morning on the weekends.

The heat was over 30C (86F). The first room offered was under the eaves and had several support beams to manouver around as one walked around the room. Needless to say, the heat was unbearable. The second room offered was a hole in the wall but we took it as it was not on the top floor. Had to sleep with the windows open but to no avail; we suffered in the heat. The unpleasant lady at the front desk informed us that the A/C could only be turned on after the municipality determined date. It turned out that the A/C system had to have an inspection/maintenance and was finally turned on after three days. Incidenatlly, being on an independent system, the lobby, where the front desk is, was blessedly air-conditioned... Keep away...

Great location, few minutes walk from 3 different metro stations and Starbucks :) Rooms with 2 beds are substantially bigger than rooms with a queen bed.

Hotel is in a great location, 1 block from the SOL metro stop. The room we had was large compared to other Euro hotels that we've stayed in. My only regret is that we were only in Madrid for 1 day. The front desk recomended we use the Hop-On/off bus tour located by the metro. Using this we were able to get a crash site seeing trip. If you are flying in from the airport here are the directions by metro. This is from T4 and takes about 45min door to door, but its a cheap easy ride. 1. At Aeropuetrto T4 Take Linea 8 - Direction Nuevos Ministerios 2. Connect at Nuevos Ministerios 3. Take Linea 10 - Direction Puerta del Sol 4. Connect at Tribunal 5. Take Linea 1 - Direction Valdecarros 6. Get off at SOL

Walls very thin, I had to get up to check that the person next door was not in my bathroom. Also heavily used stairs are bare tile and the noise of people using them echoes all around. In fairness I did not try asking for a quieter room so maybe I was unlucky.

Bon hôtel, très bien situé, personnel accueillant et très amical. Petite déception, Tv verouillée, Wifi payant pour un hôtel de cette classe!

Las habitaciones son muy pequeñas, las paredes de la que tuvimos estaban sucias, con marcas de zapatos hasta la altura del techo, ya que la primera que nos dieron no funcionaba la calefacción, la insonorización pésima, en la primera habitación ruido de puertas metálicas del almacén y en la segunda la ventana de aluminio no ajustaba sobre el marco; la solución fue precintar la ventana con cinta de embalar ya que no podían hacer nada, excepto darme cinta para que la precintara yo mismo, la calle trasera del hotel muy escandalosa, así que imaginaros las noches y encima el colchon abultado. El mantenimiento del estado de las habitaciones es pésima. Desayuno poco variado por el precio que tiene y escaso espacio destinado a mesas.

I fastgheten intill ligger en nattklubb där ungdomar samlas utanför. Höga röster och skrik från ca. midnatt fram till morgontimmarna. Vi blev inte informerade om detta när vi checkade in. Först på morgonen fick vi veta att det var så varje natt. Vi fick byta rum till andra sidan byggnaden där det var lugnt hela natten.

Hotel bien situé mais un peu vieillot. Chambre spacieuse mais encore une fois défraichie et beaucoup de bruit.

El hotel es muy completo, todas las areas comunes excelentes. Solo las habitaciones, a pesar de ser calidas y bien equipadas, resultan muy pequenias, pero para una corta estadia son aceptables. El restaurant es muy bueno tambien.

Et dejligt hotel beliggende på det helt perfekte sted, mindre end 150 m. fra centrum. meget flot, pænt og rent hotel. super søde og meget hjælpsomt personale. vil i den grad anbefale dette hotel.

Bel hôtel, propre, personnel avenant mais chambre petite, une seule chaise. Lit très inconfortable !

I travell a lot through work and stays at many hotels but Maria Elena is a clear winner if you compare price with what you get. I can strongly recomend it.

Hotellet ligger dejligt centralt lige midt i det hele. God service. Værelset dog lidt "sparsomt" - kunne godt have brugt en el-koger til en enkelt kop te/kaffe og en gratis kildevand.

et meget lille værelse, meget høj varme, kunne ikke reguleres, vinduet kunne ikke åbnes. vi forventede et værelse med altan, personalet kunne ikke hjælpe, central varmen "kunne ikke sllukes" og den ene kvindelig personale var meget uhøflige.

Good location, good breakfast, friendly English-speaking staff. On the downside, the mattresses were very hard, and the rooms facing the street are quite noicy on Friday and Saturday night, as the guests at the next door night club keep it going until 4 am. So, if you don`t mind a hard mattress, and are able to get a room in the far end of the hotel, this is the place to be

Be sure to get a room which is not facing the street because it will be impossible to sleep because of noise all night. The beds in the room are probably the hardest bed I ever slept on. Be sure to check that the shower is not leaking as thus can also ruin your night.

Fantastiskt läge och grym frukost.

Dette hotellet ligger meget sentralt, men likevel avsondret i en rolig sidegate. Bak den noe beskjedne fasaden skjuler det seg et hotell med høy standard - stor og luftig lobby og frokostsalong, rent og og ryddig og pent . Personalet var behjelpelig med å bestille plass til oss på restauranter hvor vi gjerne ville spise. Rommene var likeledes rene og ryddige, med store bad. Enkelte i vårt selskap mente sengene var i hardeste laget, men dette er selvfølgelig en smakssak. Frokostbufféten var rikholdig og variert, og en god 'investering' i tillegg til værelsesprisen, som ikke var avskrekkende, sammenlignet med andre hoteller i området. Absolutt 'good value for the money' !

Perfect location close to Puerta del Sol, from where you can walk or use Madrid's excellent and cheap Metro to reach every attraction in Madrid quickly. Located on a quit street 2 minutes from del Sol. The Hotel room was good with bathroom, TV-room and a bedroom. The breakfast was very good.

Service, Frühstücksbuffet /Frühstücksraum, Zimmercomfort und Lobby sind sehr angenehm. Der Eingang von der Strasse her ist etwas ungepflegt. Die Benützung des Inrternets in der Lobby ist kostenpflichtig zudem funktioniert es in der meisten Zeit nicht.

Everything was very good exept if you are in the first floor and by the street then those delivery cars and some metallic gate may wake you up beofre you like to get up.

Es un hotel muy agradable, cerca a la Plaza del Sol, excelentes habitaciones y desayuno, recomiendo volver

Très bien situé en plein centre de Madrid mais loin du tumulte (Coupe du Monde ...!) Décoration sobre et beaux matériaux. Chambre et service impeccables, personnel affable et disponible.Petit déjeuner très copieux. Préférez une chambre dans les étages et coté rue pour la vue. 4 étoiles largement méritées pour cet hôtel. On y reviendra.

Hotel in posizione centralissima, molto comodo per chi si reca a Madrid per visitarla. Struttura eccellente, camere buone. Unico limite: di notte si sente la movida spagnola. Ottimo per chi come me è stato tre giorni a Madrid.

Si trova nel pieno centro di Madrid a 2 passi da Plaza Mayor, la hall e' bellissima, le camere molto spartane, specie i bagni!Ho pernottato 2 giorni e non mi hanno cambiato le lenzuola, e alla mia richiesta di 1 asciugamano in piu', la reception me l'ha fatta pesare!!Di contro il prezzo e' stato ottimo!!

hotel trés bien placé qui permet de visiter les principaux sites à pied. Personnel trés agréable et disponible. Chambre agréable. Bel hotel.

Hotellet havde en meget flot hall hvilket gav et indtryk af luksus, som ikke helt stod mål med værelserne. Dét vi fik var meget lille. Der kunne kun lige stå en seng, som i øvrigt var af den meget hårde slags. Badeværelset var til gengæld utroligt rummeligt og flot, med stor flot bruse kabine. Vi oplevede også lidt larm fra gaden, men det var ikke noget af betydning.

Hotellet var for all del flott, air-condition på rommet, trivelig og god restaurant, perfekt beliggenhet like ved Sol og Sevilla Metro. Sengene var dog utrolig harde, og regelrett vonde å ligge i.
