When I called and asked for more coffee packets the receptionist was reluctant to help and I had to suggest she ask the housekeeper. I was charged through the hotel after paying online, and a third charge on hold. Due to this, another bill did not go through. It took a week to be refunded the 2ndhotel charge from the hotel. Finally I got an apology during my last phone call a week later.

The room was very large and comfortable. The breakfast was the normal cereals, bagels, and waffels, but was an unexpected bonus. I found a razor in the bathroom that was somehow overlooked by cleaning staff. Other than that I really enjoyed the stay.

The hotel and room were clean and I would definately stay there again, however, the restaurant downstairs was sub-par. I would suggest going elsewhere for food.

Hotel staff did not deliver the extra towel we asked for - had to go get it ourselves even though we had called twice. Airport shuttle only comes to the airport when scheduled - you might wait up to one hour. Shuttle to the train leaves at 6:40 a.m. ONLY (the train is at 8:00) and there is no other shuttle you can take. Since breakfast is only served at 6:30 a.m., you have to sacrifice breakfast or pay for a taxi. The kitchenette is not stocked. The beds are old and mattresses are sagging.

Liked the hotel overall although the door to our room was a little rickety (but did lock). The room was very clean and the staff most pleasant and helpful. A continental breakfast came with the price of the room. One section of the dining room was set aside for the continental breakfast and part of the dining room was reserved for hot breakfasts off a menu. The location allows you to walk a few blocks into downtown Fairbanks and to the Visitor Center and the Chena River. The price of the room was over a C-note less per night than the Fairbanks Westmark two blocks down the road from the Regency.

Obviously decorated in the 70's or 80's and not updated since. Maroon jacuzzi tub was a bit weird! Clean but clearly old. Not really too close to anything. Pricey meals in hotel. Ended up renting a car so we could get around. Just ok. Not sure there any any better hotels in town other than maybe the Westmark looked nice.

I had a good stay at the Regency Fairbanks Hotel. I enjoyed the staff very much. I did'nt have a Ironing board in my room, they got me one right away. I also was abel to upgrade my room to one with a Whirlpool bath because my back was in bad shape. the only thing that was off, was the Deck area it had many nice places to sit but no ashtrays. The Hotel is non smoking in the rooms but is ok on the Deck but you have to bring you own cup for butts. The Hotel is a little older but for the price it was good.

The room had an Oder of smoking, though it was a non smoking room. The bathtub and the towels were old and did not appear clean. Location was great. Security was poor-the side was easily accessible to the outside.

The hotel has full kitchen facilities in each room. 4 burner stove & oven, double snk, microwave, coffee pot and full fridge with freezer. Rooms are spacious. Decor is older, but CLEAN. Rugs are worn/stained. Staff is extrememly friendly and willing to help in any way possible. GREAT VALUE for price paid. I stay in Fairbanks 3 to 4 times per year at several places - most costing MUCH more. Walking to downtown was easy AND Purple bus line has a stop right at the end of the hotel parking lot - at the houses next door! Transit center for most bus routes is a short walk away (about 5 blocks). On site restaurant/lounge is friendly with good food.

I was so excited when I got to the room. I just picked the cheapest room, but when I got there it included two beds, a fridge, AND a hot tub!!!!

Front desk extremely helpful. Room was very clean, quiet, beds and pillows very comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. Kitchenette, standard fridge, stove, microwave, and coffee maker with supplied coffee. Only had two saucers with two coffer cups, might need to ask for other cooking items and plates. Figured not stocked due to theft, just need to ask for more. Tub is jetted but would take forever to fill as water pressure not too strong. Bathroom is the old pink/mauve color but no problems with it. This was my second time staying here and it was much better than the last. Hotel overall is good, most might want it to be updated from the pink/mauve bathroom. If this is not a problem and want a great place to sleep, quiet, and comfortable beds this is the place. The great find is the common area deck that is a great place to unwind and have a couple of beers or just relax and soak up the sun.
