convenient location, very good services (great breakfast), nice and clean room, good value for money

A very nice hotel. Room size for three was adequate. Hotel is located on the Vatican side of the river. It's in a nice area and is only about a 10-15 minute walk to the metro. Breakfast buffet was excellent - a wide variety to choose from.

Visconti Palace Hotel in Rome is in an upscale neighborhood close to the Vatican area. The area has plenty of restaurants which cater to locals; not tourists. Good access to Vatican. Taxi @ 10-15 Euros, or bus for @ 1 Euro. They offer a pleasing and plentiful breakfast in an attractive dining room. Very helpful staff. It is pricey, but would definitely stay there again. A very pleasing modern, stylish hotel.

The hotel is close and walking distance to must-see sights in Rome. Some of the hotel staff are not very friendly. I like the hotel but I will never stay there again if ever we go back to Rome again. They charge 15 Euros per day for internet connection. It would have been fine to pay that much but the connection is so slow. It is worse than a dial-up connection. It can't even load a picture. It takes forever to go to any sites. I really think this is a rip-off. I couldn't understand why this expensive hotel cant even give free internet to their customers.

Quiet street but still within walking to all attractions. Building/ style was ok but cleanliness of the room and service was absolutely fantastic. Great services, extremely friendly personnel from the check in, room and breakfast. Suggest a quick lunch during your walk in piazza Navone at Insalata Ricca address: Piazza di Pasquino, 72 (Salata Imperial + 4 cheese pasta). And after you have seen all the touristic attractions the The Ghetto is a pleasant area for a walk. We had a nice lunch at Da Giggetto: Via del Portico d'Ottavia (carciofi a la giudea + spagetti au vongoli). Even though it looks beautiful with the flowers froom the bottom, it worth climbing the stairs from piazza di Spagnia, wonderful view of the city.

My three day stay at the Hotel Visconti Palace added to the memorable time that I spent in Rome. The neighborhood is extremely safe and very accessible to all tourist attractions. The Spanish Steps and a plethora of shopping is only 15 minutes away. The staff was very helpful and recommended 2 great authentic Italian restaurants - Da Enzo and Vito's - both within walking distance of the hotel. You will not be disappointed if you stay at his hotel.

Clean and comfortable and I would definately stay again. Close to all the sights with very friendly helpful staff. Breakfast was ok but a little more selection would have been nice.

If this is a palace the front desk certainly does not treat you like a king. They are rude and arrogant and not the least bit helpful. The month was October and it was a really warm day and there was no way to get them to turn on the AC as it had been shut off to the entire hotel in September. This is not an inexpensive hotel but the accommodations are cut rate.

Our 3 night stay at the Palace was an incredible value by Roman standards. as clean as a whistle and as quiet as a church the experience was very pleasant indeed. Robert H. Santa Monica, CA

My husband and I stood here for 2 days. We found the lobby, outside eating area and breakfast room to be modern and trendy. The room itself was fine. Unfortunately, we forgot to request a non-smoking room so we had to deal with the smell of cigarettes. We also had a problem with the AC which was leaking water from the ceiling right in the entrance to our room. We called to report the problem and they came up quickly to fix it. We noticed the next day that they were fixing a few rooms next to us who seemed to be having the same problem. Also wished that they had an iron in the room but they did have a hair dryer, Q-tips, slippers, nail file, shower cap, safe, and bidet. Although we faced these small problems, I must say that the staff was really helpful and sweet. They were quick to help with the bags and assisted us with all of our questions about tours, affordable transportation, internet and just about any question you could think of. They never seemed bothered and went above and beyond to help us. They provide free breakfast (buffet) every morning which includes eggs, bacon, sausage, cereals, fruits, yogurt, well just about anything you could think of. It was walking distance to the Vatican, Spanish Steps and many other attractions. The surrounding area was a bit dead but it is walking distance to places with more action. We did find some really nice local restaurant spots by the hotel with great prices and friendly service. Seems like we were one of the few tourist there so we were able to get a real Italian experience. I would stay again and definitely recommend it to those who want to be walking distance to everything and don't want to pay too much for their stay.

This was the second to last stop for my boyfriend and I on a three week trip throughout Europe (so we had some basis for comparison by this point). After some minor reservation hassle we got to our room, which was okay but definitely not up to the almost 5 star quality described on hotels.com. The carpet was threadbare, the TV was old, the toilet and other fixtures in the bathroom looked old, but it was bearable. However, the real shock came when I took a shower the next morning. Above the shower there was some sort of hole (looked like a light maybe used to be there?) with plastic sticking out and what looked like mold. It was DISGUSTING, to the point I didn't want to stand under it while showering for fear of what would fall on me. I called the front desk (twice) who finally sent up a "technician." The technician proceeded to tell me that the hole thing was "normal," and the stuff clinging to the plastic and inside the hole was not mold but rather "dust and hair." I told him that I've stayed at dozens of hotels and that most certainly was not normal, and asked whether it could be covered. He said yes, left, and never came back. Additionally, the internet was painfully slow and priced higher than every other hotel we had stayed at. On the positive side, the location of the hotel is great, the neighborhood was safe and the free breakfast in the morning was nice.

This hotel was lovely! The staff were professional and nice. Very helpful. Clean, comfortable, I would stay there again. The only thing that was missing was a swimming pool! I booked a triple, and had a friend who was in the area stop by the hotel to visit, they were very strict about not allowing a 4th person up into the rooms. Overall, great stay! I would def return.

Full breakfast served, hot cooked plates, cold cuts, cereals, breads, fruits, yogurts, juices - didn't need to have lunch during our whole stay! Really close to the Cast St. Angelo and Vatican, walking distance to most other attractions.

Rigtigt godt hotel, med god morgenmadsbuffet og fin service/personale. Rent, stille og god beliggenhed.

Positivt överaskad av frukosten! Riktigt bra! Trevlig personal, stort rum, bra läge med gångavstång till allt.

Hotel perfecto para estar en Roma. A 10 minutos caminando del palacio de Justicia y a 20 minutos de la Plaza Narbona, tienes un autobús a una calle del hotel que te puede dejar muy cerca de cualquiera de las zonas a visitar de Roma. Trato genial del personal, desayuno perfecto. Muy Muy recomendable.

et velfungerende, ret nyt, pænt og rent hotel i gå afstand til mange af Roms seværdigheder. Hotellet virker fint og servicen var god.

Läge: är jättebra belägen. Närhet till flesta sevärdigheter,resturanger och affärere. Bars genom att korsa bron så befinner man sig i del corso gatan och 10-15 min promenad till spanska trappan. Hotellet: bilderna,ser inte ut som verklighet men det är inte långt från sanningen. Mkt trevlig stad då man är oftast ute och hotellet bara för att sova. En bra litet gym rum på hotellet. Frukosten är helt Ok. Mkt bra luftkonditionering. Viktig i en varm stad.

The hotel is within walking distance to the center of Rome. The hotel has clean and spacious rooms, a nice roof-terrace, good breakfast and a helpful staff.

Bar prijzen zijn zeer duur, kamer zijn eigenlijk 2 sterren. Te duur voor zijn 4 sterren. Locatie is wel goed.

Die Zimmer sind sauber aber nicht aufregend, Das Bad ist sauber aber schon etwas älter. Jeden Tag gab es frische Handtücher, die Betten wurden 2x täglich gemacht. Der Zimmersafe ist kleiner als normal, ein 10" Netbook passt aber gerade noch rein. Das Frühstück ist ein Highlight: Aufmerksame Kellner, frische Speisen, große Auswahl: Marmeladen, Honig, Nutella, Käse und Wurstwaren guter Qualität, Eier, Speck, Brioches mit diversen Füllungen, Müsli und diverse Flakes, verschiedene Sorten Milch, Frisches Obst, etc.

Et særdeles udmærket hotel centralt beliggende tæt ved Peters Kirken og i gå afstand fra forretningsgaden2 Via Del Corso. Professionel og venlig betjening fra personalet.

Hotellet har en hyggelig betjening, og rommene er rene , servicen upåklagelig. Meget god frokost. Litt utenfor "sentrum" men ikke lenger enn en fin gåtur. Anbefales

Fint hotel, ligger midt mellem Vertikanstaten og Den spanske trappe.

Ho soggiornato quattro notti per una breve vacanza e sono rimasto davvero soddisfattissimo: un hotel moderno, elegante, pulitissimo, silenzioso e con un eccellente servizio ad un passo sia da via del Corso che da Castel S. Angelo.

800-900 meter nærmere Navona hadde vært helt perfekt, lange meterer når føttene er slitne... men hotellet var bra. Servicen, frokost, rom og takterrasse supert.
