Furama Silom, Bangkok - بانكوك

Close to everything. You can walk or take a reasonable cab ride to anything you want. A 15 minute walk to Limpini park . The park was one of the highlights. i would recommend going for a walk through it. The night market is close by too. A 7-11 and other small stores make it easy to find food or anything else you might need. there is a good breakfast every morning if you book your room to include breakfast. The rooftop pool and patio was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is free wifi throughout, and a laptop in the lobby you can use to download photos or go online. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.

Room wasn't what it showed in picture, breakfast had small selection

Every aspect of the hotel was unacceptable; so much so that I called hotels.com whom I had booked through, and related my dissatisfaction with the accommodation to them. We had booked a 4 night stay, but by the end of the first day I knew I wanted to leave. Hotels.com was great. I had prepared a list of complaints and shortcomings to justify my request for a refund, but hotels.com said if you're that unhappy they would credit back the unused 3 nights. I no longer have the list, so rather than iterating the shortcomings, I'll just say, "Don't stay at the Furama Silom, or any of the other three Bangkok Furama properties; there are so many other great hotels in Bangkok".

I read the other reviews and my expectations were higher than the hotel could deliver. It is an older hotel with some maintenance and cleanliness issues. You can only clean up old things so much. I would probably choose another hotel in the future. The people were cordial.

Hotel rooms were great, clean and very spacious, though we took a bigger room. Concierge services were extremely helpful in booking transportation and shows as well as giving us restaurant recommendations and other advice. Location is a few blocks from the major restaurants, skytrain and pier, but central to all of those. Patong Market is also only about a half mile away and easy to walk to. Complimentary breakfast is amazing and easily saves you from getting lunch with all of the food options available. Lastly for Songkran, this hotel is 3 blocks from the start of all of the action. I would definitely stay here in the future.

It is a good hotel for the price, the service is generally good and staff are polite. If your interests are in the Silom Rd area it is a convenient location. I have been staying here for several years and will go back again, next trip.

Hotel was good and central to all things, I like Silom Rd as it has markets , and close to everything. Pool on roof nice, good breakfast , staff pleasant. We enjoyed our stay, and they arranged day trips.

Value for Money

Lobby is presentable but hotel room is old.

I find it impossible to fault this hotel. It is clean, modern and staffed by friendly, competent people who know their business. The breakfast was extraordinarily good, far above the usual 'mess' of congealing dishes and lukewarm coffee. Thanks to hotel.com we had a room on the Executive Floor which entitled us to free cocktails every evening. The bathroom had a tub, a real luxury in these water-straitened times. The room had a balcony with a superb skyline view. Everything was up to date, well-maintained and designed or provided with the guest in mind. There is a good convenience store right next to the hotel. If I have a grouse, it's that the neighbourhood is a bit run-down and getting from 'here' to 'there' could be difficult sometimes. Small point for such comfort and all-round value.

Go for Deluxe Room. They are worth every penny & truly romantic. Polite staff. For all pure vegetarian travellers, pls make a note that there is very good pure veg indian restaurant @ Diamond residency.. few steps away from Furama Silom. That restaurant offers Jain food as well.

I've stayed here before, it's very close to the bts. The breakfast is good. The service is fantastic,very friendly and helpful staff. I will stay here again

they say its 200 m from chong nonsi... but i guess they will have to check it again ... its around 500 m .. the worst part is the room was stinking so badly.. we called up for room service but no one turned up for 2 hrs even after repeated request.. not so pleasant stay... can look for better options

Furama Silom offers a great price for what they are. The service and professionalism of the Front Desk, Housekeeping and Bell staffs were very polite and courteous. The complimentary buffet is outstanding! The location definitely is a great plus as it is walking distance to great spots for shopping, eating and just walking around.

Coming from the Shangri-la, which is top quality in all respects, and trying not to compare apples to oranges, I was still very disappointed with the Furama Silom. The room was clean, but the balcony was very dirty. My son took a towel to wipe the rail, to put his swim suit out to dry. The hotel charged us $4 for getting the towel dirty! Then they would not let us bring a cup of coffee from the restaurant to the room. Was a $4 towel worth a bad review? I don't think so, but when I mentioned it to them, they didn't care. Really not a good feeling from this hotel.

Will stay again

Our room was spacious and the neighborhood interesting -perfect if you were looking for a tailor and custom clothing. My only complaint, not enough toilet paper for each days stay, I ended up stealing some from the housekeeping cart! The front desk managed English quite well, the concierge desk a little less so. the breakfast buffet was pretty good.

Good value for money, clean good amenities and great swimming pool (19th floor) good view but deck area limited

Our Experience in this hotel was good. We not have any problem and our stay was very good. Sky Train is little far from Hotel . Location is very good main road of Silom. Breakfast is very good . I will prefer next time stay. I stayed in Deluxe Floor 18th and rooms are very good.

I paid for a superior, non-smoking room and the first night they put me in a stinky smoking room with stains all over chairs and couches and carpet... Upon request, I was given a non smoking room the next morning, better condition but still smelling from the mold all over the bathroom! The breakfast buffet was included in the price - the food was ok. Travel desk was horrible with reservations - they booked me a dinner show, which at the end of the day I came to find out was only booked for the show portion!! The receipt included no info on address and the directions I got from them was to catch a cab from the nearest subway station, while the cabs there have never heard of the place before and got me lost for 30 min in a 2 square mile area! Overall, horrible experience - do not recommend staying here!

A good reasonably priced hotel.

This hotel is nice, there are many places within a 5 min walk for access to 7-11 massage place or to eat. The breakfast they provide is top notch. Plenty of TV channels to watch TV if that is your thing. It is close by to a BTS station aso. If you enjoy walking the Silom neighborhood has many things to do, R-

I was attending a conference at the Pullman hotel across the road and the Furma hotel was about £40 a night cheaper. Only disappointment was that we requested a non smoking room but they did not appear to have any.

The hotel room, service and facilities exceeded expectations. The reception staff were very helpful and a nice touch was the free water and fruit juice at the reception throughout the day. Priced as a 3 star but overall it was much more. Fantastic value.

Descent hotel if you are on a strict budget. vast room for improvement. proximity to night life - so all in all ok experience.

I had previously stayed in a renovated room and found it very comfortable. This time I stayed in an old dated room. It was a bit musty. I would not return. The buffet breakfast is alright but food on the street is better.

I loved this hotel the staff was amazing. They helped us a lot with our questions and/or concerns towards places to go like shopping, restaurants, and other things.. The room was very big for two people, it was more than clean, the bed was very soft. The view from the roof was amazing. This is where the pool is located which was a very nice. The buffet was amazing I loved the food from this hotel. If you are a person who is picky this hotel offers you a variety of food that you will no be disappointed. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.. Thumps up!!

The superior rooms are basically backpacker rooms, dirty and very old. We stayed two times and the second time stayed in the deluxe rooms, (executive) much better and modern.Food is good and staff very helpful, just avoid the basic rooms and you will be happy

Hair in bath plug, shower gel on curtains, mould around bath tub, 1980's furniture, all rooms are smoking rooms... Access from sky train along dark road. Staff friendly rest of hotel ok, but never book a superior room if you want quality. The executive rooms look 100% better, we will try these next time.

My wife and I stay here for our honeymoon. This hotel is centrally located with a great roof top pool. I recomend using the metro located just around the corner to get round. (IT'S CHEAPER) Plus, shopping and night market are just down the street.

Stayed in a deluxe room. With space and clean rooms.

Fantastic hotel, great location. Two blocks from the BTS and the Patpong area. I liked this hotel for the location, the staff , good breakfast buffet, big rooms and a great price. Located very close to the BTS that will take you anywhere in the city

everything is tends to be satisfactory but one thing bad is that there isn't any tea and coffee making facilities in the room as stated in hotel.com.location of the hotel is superd with 7 eleven and massage pallot near by.the food serve in the hotel is good too.

We only stayed for one night but would happily return again. The room was in great condition and the hotel is located really close to the Pat Pong Night Market. Breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly

Great breakfast with clean rooms. Pool a bit small but well maintained. Rooms could be a bit noisy and need better insulation.

Cupboard in room is old, Safe in cupboard is loose and not secured. Toilet has a strong pungent smell. Only thing that good is the service and the breakfast.

I liked it breakfast was really good nice hotel only the washrooms look old for superior rooms otheer than that perfect 4 star hotel
