Nippon Hotel - إسطنبول

All in all it was a good stay at the Nippon Hotel. A little bit expensive for being an off season (we ended up paying $190 per night, taxes included). The personnel was very friendly and helpful. They were more than ready to give tips and pointers. We reserved an excursion to visit the sites in Istanbul, and it was correct. On our last evening, they recommended a restaurant for us, with a free shuttle, and it was an enjoyable experience (usually I avoid such recommendations which end up in a tourist trap). We were at 2 min walk from Taksim street and 15 min walk from Osmanbey street. One bad experience though in the Nippon Hotel, they did not have the AC on during our stay (temperature was around 25), and there was no possibility of turning the AC on; I do not know if it is the same during the summer period. A tip: If a double bed room is not available, don't insist, settle for the twin bed, otherwise you will...

Very good in almost all respects and the helpful staff made it easier for visitors from another country

I enjoyed my stay and the staff at the desk spoke good English. Service was prompt. Overall the room was a bit small but clean and had all the amenities. Again it was in the center of Istanbul!

The hotel was very located and the staff was very courteous (esp the ushers / bellboys). The front office gave good and timely information about the Derwish show / Malls / Turkish Hammam. However, we were not able to figure out why the cups / glasses were not cleaned every day during the normal housekeeping ! We had to remind the reception upon our return to the hotel every day in the evening and then it was attended to.

Hotel location is very close to Taksim Square, but far enough for you not to get bothered by the noise. I stayed for two nights only. Hotel room is of an OK with 2 single beds, basic facilities and good internet connection. Housekeeping sent me a welcome fruit basket (a nice surprise typically a feature in 5 star establishment) but was a bit disappointed that houskeeping did not do my bed. Apart from this, I had a comfortable stay.

Positives: great great great location minutes walk to taksim sq, metro, funnicular and istiklal street. Very helpful staff. Negatives: very small room for a family of 4, the room would get cleaned well but small details like replacing dirty coffee cups would be missed. Ac was not effective. Walls really thin so a lot of external noise. Never the less, would stay here again as the positives outweigh the negatives.

excellent location close to taksim and istiklaal street. staff were extremely friendly and helpful hotel was modern ,neat and clean.

I was very disappointed because when I did my booking, I informed that I would like room for 4 people and I chose the room types available for 4 people, however when I did my check-in I was told by the hotel manager that the room type that I chose was for 3 people not for 4 and would not be possible to accommodate all in one room and I would need another room. After a long discussion, he approved to put one more extra bed (the second in the room) in my room but we almost did not have space to walk in the room.

I stayed at Nippon Hotel for 5 nights to attend a conference at the ICEC. The hotel locates at a super convenient location. From the Havas bus stop, you can cross the road and walk directly to the hotel within 5 minutes. The hotel front desk staff was very nice. He lent me an adapter during my whole stay for free (I prepared one but it didn't fit). Two bottles of water were free. I couldn't see any Japanese staying although the hotel name is 'Nippon Hotel'. Only some of the rooms are named like 'Samurai'. I booked for a King bed but didn't get it. The "Superior room" given to me was quite small with two double beds. I think the hotel could hardly be described as a four star hotel compared to the standard in U.S. or other places. The photos on the website are probably the Suit not the Superior room. There was a funny brochure used when we wanted to change our bedclothes. In it, there was a small writing in red "Please, leave this card on your bed to make your bedclothes changed". Also in this, there was a big writing in green "PLEASE, DO NOT CHANGE MY BEDCLOTHES!". So not matter how we placed this sign, it seems the bedclothes won't be change. There was also another brochure said "WE CARE FOR YOUR HEALTH". There was a dial number to get 'free' advice about health problem. Hmm..

The hotel is a nice hotel, the rooms are satisfactory and the staff were friendly. The downside was our room overlooked the street and the hotel is near Taksim square, we stayed there on a saturday night, and the noise from the street and the square was loud and went on well past midnight. So insist on a room not overlooking the street or near Taksim square, or bring a good set of eaplugs, you'll need them!

Best Value for money on our Europe trip! Hotel is conveniently located minutes from taksim square. Taksim features lots of restaurants, bars and shopping and is a lively place any time of the day or night. Also located close to metro if you want to travel to the sights. Hotel was very clean, modern, and rooms were spacious. There were nice little extras also (complimentary 2 bottles of water, ironing service and welcome fruit platter to name a few) Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Great variety and fresh food. Breakfast manager Tyfoon was friendly and helpful as were other staff. I would not hesitate to book this hotel.

This is a nice and clean hotel within walking distance to Ishtikahl Street andTaksim Square. Housekeeping and customer service, however, are subpar for a 4 star hotel. Guest towels appear to be old, with frayed edges. Only selected hotel staff can communicate comfortably in English. The air conditioner is tightly controlled by management. We had to request repeatedly before they keep our rooms cool throughout the afternoon.

Det här förhållandevis lilla hotellet var en trevlilg upplevelse i Istanbul. rent, snyggt, funktionellt, med bra service och trevlig personal. Läget är alldeles utmärkt med promenadavstånd till Istanbul Congress Centre och shoppingstråken kring Taksim. Lite dras betyget ned av avsaknaden av spa/bastu i hotellet och och att det lätt kan bli lite livlig ljudnivå omkring byggnaden på kvällarna. Jag kan utan tvekan tänka mig att bo på hotellet igen nästa gång jag är i stan.

Very small room, good shower but AC not working, temp. in room 25 degrees.

ホテルスタッフは皆 親切で バゲッジの預かり、タクシー手配など気持ち良くテキパキ行ってくれる。 ロケーション最高ですホテル到着が深夜だったのに周りのレストランやスーパーも営業していて便利でした。お勧め出来るホテルです。

Prima hotel en schoon. Centraal geregelde airco blies al warme lucht terwijl het overdag nog 18-20 graden was. Snel uitgezet en raam open, waardoor je toch wel wat lawaai te verduren krijgt in de nacht (maar dat is overal in Istanbul). Prima plek om istanbul te verkennen, de metro en funicular kabelbaan bij het hotel als ook de drukke winkelstraat.

위치가 무척 좋음. 객실도 깨끗하고 잘 정돈 되어있고 서비스도 좋았음. 특히 공항갈때 공항버스가 바로 길건너편에 있어서 이용하기 무척 편리함.

Nicht in der Altstadt, verkehrstechnisch aber sehr gute Lagen. Reichhaltiges Frühstück und sehr hilfsbereites Personal. Wir hatten mit unseren zwei Schulkindern ein Zimmer. Es war ziemlich eng, aber Preis Leistung sehr gut.

Hårda sängar, sänglampa endast på sängens ena sida - gick ej att ordna trots påpekande. Märklig inredningsarkitektonisk ide. TV:en placerad på sidovägg. Rummets enda fåtölj obekväm. Bra var hotellets läge nära Taksimtorget. Dock kommer vi att välja annat alternativ vid ev ny vistelse i Istanbul.

Remember to put the "do not disturb" on the door when leaving for breakfast otherwise the cleaning will be there when you come back :-)
