Good large hotel. A bit expensive but that appears to be normal in Beijing. Breakfast is good but can be very busy. Gym in basement of next door building is good and large with most equipment you could want. There is also a good pool with proper lanes and estimated 20 to 25 m long. The pool opens a bit later than the gym in the morning. Overall recommended

It is easy to get to the hotel, subway station Jianguomen is only few hundred meters away. It is not easy to find a breakfast cafe in the area. We ended up in a KFC beyond the shopping center opposite the road. We booked a day tour to the Great Wall (should be renamed Staircase), which passed a Jade factory, silk factory, and a tea house on the way. Esp the 2 last ones with immense sales pressure. Dont show visible interest in something or they start the sales talk. The hotel is convenient for any Beijing activities, and the top floor restaurant great, but expensive.

An excellent hotel... But a word of caution, the food (even breakfast) is very expensive. Much cheaper to eat out..

This is a really lovely hotel the staff are friendly and are allways ready to help. Most have a good command of english and the food was excellent. Thankyou for a wounderful stay.

Ok but not great.

The hotel has a very convinient location. It's close to all must see sights: Tian An Men Square, Forbidden City.... walk about 8 minutes it's the subway station, there are few buses stops right in the front of the hotel. Cross the street there's a super market, Pizza hat and McDonald. The hotel bathroom needs renovation. Other than that, it's a very nice hotel. I would stay in this hotel again.

OK and nice gym but expensive

Although the hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff extremely accommodating the rooms especially the bath need upgrading...

Over priced compared to other hotels in China. Very crowded, full of coach parties. Difficult to even get a seat at breakfast and often have to share a table. Gym is nice and location good. Service not great, staff come across as impersonal and rushed.

Satisfied with everything. Highly recommended hotel. Will stay in this hotel again in future.

Very good location - most taxi drivers know this hotel Airport buses leave from this hotel and the railway station is also nearby. Breakfast is a bit expensive. G A few blocks away from Forbidden City.

The hotel was very nice and clean. You have to pay for internet in your room, but it is free in the lobby. The location was about a 10 min walk to the subway - very convenient. The neighborhood seemed safe and the hotel staff was very nice. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Front desk service staff really need to be trained in customer service. They are friendly but unskilled and frustratingly slow in handling check-in and check-out even when there aren't that many customers waiting. They don't seem to understand what customers request either due to their poor English or lack of knowledge to answer questions. Otherwise, it's a nice hotel in a convenient location near shopping.

I got more than what I had expected. The past reviews did not prepare me for the surprise that I was to face. Firstly, the airport shuttle, line 3, let you alight almost right at the doorstep of the hotel. And the shuttle buses are parked right next to the hotel waiting for passengers to board them. Secondly, the location of the hotel can't be better. Opposite the hotel, across the road, is the Henderson shopping centre which can be accessed by foot via the underpass right in front of the hotel. You can always grab a bite in one of its eateries or buy stuffs from the supermarket in the centre. There is a subway station which is a 5 min walk away. Best of all, there are 2 bus stops right in front of the hotel which allow you to board buses to major tourist attractions such as the Tiananmen Square. However, you need to be literate in Chinese to recognise the bus routes that are stated at the stops and to board the right bus for your destination. Thirdly, the lowest tiered room that we booked was clean, spacious and tidy. Fourthly, you can make coffee and tea with the complementary coffee powder, teabags, sugar and creamer. Every day, there is a complimentary bottle of water for each guest. All in all, I am very satisfied with my stay.

This was a great hotel! Awesome for the price. Great location. 2 subway stations within quick walk of hotel (one left and one right). Service was hospitable and there was decent WIFI in the lobby area. McDonalds and Pizza Hut right across the street. About a 15-20 minute walk to Tianenmen SQ right of the hotel. Hotel even provides two free small bottles in the bathroom because water is undrinkable. I am overall very happy with my stay.

I recommend the hotel only to business people. Wi Fi is weak. Restaurant rates very high.

The location is good. There is a shuttle line to airport.

Beijing International Hotel has the advantage that one of the Airport Bus lines has its terminal located in the car park of this hotel. Several underground train stations are within walking distance. The conditions of the room are good/acceptable. I cannot find any of the faults (which were reported in previous reviews.) The only problem was that when I checked-in they could not locate my (already fully-paid) Hotels.com booking. However, eventually they accepted my photocopy of Hotels.com's email confirmation as evidence.

Hotel location is excellent for visiting major sites and very accessible by car as it is on the same large avenue as Tianimen Square, Peoples Hall, Museum of China, Forbidden City, the pedestiran shopping avenue, and the Great Hall. Taxi rates are very economical and suggested as opposed to renting a car. Book tours on-line before arrival give you a better price. Beijing Rail Station is close by (walking distance) for rail travelers. Room clean and has good bathroom/shower. Staff helpful and concierge speaks English. One can exhange currency at hotel at prevailing rate (better than airport). Main floor restaurant in rear has a very good breakfast buffet. Food (buffet) in the revolving roof top restaurant not very good. Gourmet meals available in the hotel to the left of the hotel. Overall a pleasant place to stay with good service and value for the money.

Hotel well located, english level good, happy about my stay there

This is a great hotel, especially for the price. Pros: Location Price View Cons: Nickle and dime you on things so be careful to check your bill and the rates before your buy something. For example we had an excellent meal in the hotel restaurant, but the two bottles of water ended up costing almost as much as the meal itself. Overall a great choice based on rates, quality, and location.

This hotel is centrally located a block from Peking main rail station, and about a kilometer from Tienamin Square. It is a first class business hotel, full of marble, with a large attached convention center. It's restaurants are geared to the convention folk: elegant but pricey. Try and reserve thru the hotel because they do have rooms with breakfast included packages that some of the hotel sites may not offer. It will save you money. It is located on a main drag with shopping malls across the street and down to the right towards the square. The closer to the square, the more shops, restaurants. For those afraid of the local food, there is a nice Pizza Hut across the street. This is also the pick-up hotel for the bus transfers to the Tianjin port. The hotel does not offer transfers so you would have had to made your own seperately. So, if you've made reservations for a cruise transfer you just go downstairs and get on the bus. A good overall choice.

This hotel has a really good location to site seeing, shopping and business. There is a need for a non-Chinese restaurant, something that could be a pub-like setting, easy foods in an easy environment. The lobby is massive, with many people coming and going, and yet there is only a single sofa and 4 or 5 individual chairs. Many times I found myself having to stand around waiting to meet an associate. Seems a little odd. But overall I'd rate this hotel pretty high. Mostly friendly people (language skills tend to make people more or less friendly). The television system could use a little more variety, especially for foreign travelers.

This hotel is more then I ever expected for the rate I paid in this site. the place was a 9 1/2 star. restraunts ,shopping, travel info, confrence center, and more inside hotel. the room I had was modern with lots of extras. the cleaning service came in the morning to clean then around 7-9pm they came back and laid out a robe w/ slippers by the bed and closed the curtains for your return. when I had a question they always were able to help me or translate for me. I highly recomend this hotel.

Had stayed at this hotel many years ago. I wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. The Hotel had been redone. Beds are good. Location is great - Staff is good & attentive. They even got the wake up calls right.

Generelt litt dyrt både i baren og på resturantene... men det finnes mange gode spisesteder i nærheten.

房間空間很大，很舒服。由於在東城區環境衛生很好，去地鐵站也很方便，做兩個站就到王府井，附近也有很多地道小吃。但想續住卻以房間已滿遭到拒絕。

À quelques minutes à pied de la gare de Beijing Central. Confort et propreté parfaits à prix raisonnable, vaut un 4 étoiles européen. Nombreuses possibilités de restauration autour de la gare.

房費不含早餐，而早餐費為一百六十元人民幣一位，絕不便宜。房間裡的陳設、裝潢、用具等散發著強烈的上世紀八十年代初的氣息。只有大堂提供免費而緩慢的無綫網絡服務，而房間內提供每分鐘兩塊人民幣或每天一百二十元人民幣的收費有綫網絡服務。特別一提，建議離開房間前將行李及貴重物品上鎖，因為，就算你亮起「請勿騷擾」的燈號及在門外掛上「請勿騷擾」的告示牌，服務員仍然無視這些告示，進入你的房間，做她們想做、要做的工作，所以，為保障個人\的財物安全，還是不要嫌麻煩，鎖好行李才出門。酒店旁有地鐵站，對面街有麥當奴和pizza hut就是最大的優點。而最大的缺點是離開酒店時，別以為可以左轉入大街就可以上高速去機場，因為酒店外是不可以左轉，車輛只能直駛到北京火車站，繞一圈，再回到酒店前的大街，才可右轉上高速，所以，別誤會酒店俱備地利方便去機場。酒店提供不定時往來機場的接駁巴士，每位十六塊人民幣，建議在航班起飛前三小時出發。房費方面，連稅後，差不多八百塊港幣一個晚上，所以，可以考慮其他的。
