PROS: Oakhurst is a great little town, really close to the entrance of Yosemite. The hotel looked cute from the outside, receptionist was nice, let us check in early. CONS: Never mentioned the breakfast, when or where it was served. No book with hotel/area info or phone book in the room. The bedspreads were filthy, the sheets were unwashed and unmatching, one bed had two top sheets no mattress pad, the other had unmatching sheets, patterned-not hotel stock, the wrong size for the bed. The pillows and mattresses were badly stained as was the sink, shower and toilet. No soap, only two towels and two handtowels for the 3 of us. No cups or icebucket/trashbag liners. The TV itself was nice, but the reception left much to be desired. We figured out the breakfast on our own, but couldn't get near enough through the crowd to get more than a bowl of dry cereal, there was no milk, and two cups of very watered down oj. Definitely won't be staying there again.

The room sheets had stains on them.

It was a nice place to stay, the bed was not comfortable and the towels had stains on them. Not going to stay there again, but no serious complaints.

A nice hotel just outside Yosemite at a reasonable price and with good service.

There was no soap in the room. Warm showers. Heater and AC worked. Free continental breakfast, but nothing fancy. Overall, everything was ok. Really, we just needed a quiet place to sleep before going into Yosemite. I wouldn't stay here for more than a night of two, or of you want a nice place to stay in.

Ask for a room in the back because the road noise is pretty loud, and the sun is very bright in the morning. Room was nice enough people were friendly. I would stay again if I could get a room facing the pool instead of the street.

Shower didn't drain, seemed dirty. Air conditioner was so loud we though a semi trailor truck from hwy 41 was coming through when it cyled on. If you stay there ask for rooms behind first row away from street noise.

Road noise that never stopped. It kept me awake at night. Staff seemed bothered to deal with customers.

Hotel was in a convenient location for visiting relatives and nearby sights. We stayed three nights in early October so the hotel was not very crowded. Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast included a waffle maker that I have never seen anywhere else. It was fast and easy. For the rate we paid, our stay worked out very nice.

The toilet and shower were disgusting.

Hotel is in an excellent location for visiting Yosemite(14 miles from South entrancce). Oakhurst is a nice small town. Good area. Good breakfast & hotel personnel were very friendly & helpful. I would stay there again & recommend it to my friends.

to me, a hotel is usually just a place to stay for my adventures. this is exactly the type of place this is. convenient to Yosemite, albeit you still have an hour's drive on winding mountains road to reach Yosemite Valley itself.

Since several of the guests were leaving early, the continental breakfast was opened at 5:30AM due to a kind man who stayed over his night shift to do it. The Crabcakes restaurant, just around the corner, was a superb place for dinner. Very easy place to stay!

Excellent and courteous staff. Wifi has poor range, need to be next to office to get good signal strength. Nice pool. Breakfasts could be improved with better coffee and jams. Overall impressed.

we stayed there for a hike in yosemite national park and had to get up at 3 am. however, the breakfast was already available, which was awesome! there is also a really good italian restaurant right next to it. room was clean and nice.

An older facility, but clean and good for a rest after a long day of hiking in Yosemite.

Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We used this facility as a bedroom for our visit to Yosemite NP. A long, windy road to the park. Ad stated amenities included a coffee maker in all rooms and microwave in some rooms. Our room had neither. Stayed 2 nights and asked twice for a coffee maker. Never got it. Guess our room was not allowed a microwave. Slats missing from window blinds; we had to tape paper to the windows to block view from walkers outside. Otherwise a good value for travelers on a budget.

Room was small but comfortable. Price was good. Would stay there again.

Super friendly staff member named Miguel. He gave us free detergent for laundry when we asked where the laundry room was. He also suggested some local bars to check out if we had time. The pool was open 24 hours and they allowed drinks in too. We stayed here to access Yosemite for 2 days and it was fantastic! Only 15 miles away from the hotel. Plus there were grocery stores and a starbucks to stop at before heading out. But the continental breakfast was just fine to tide anyone over. The only cons were the fridge in the room was dirty. Some nasty brown stuff in the freezer that kinda turned my stomach. Our room was facing the road, so the traffic noises did continue on through the night. Luckily I am a deep sleeper. Overall a fantastic stay! Can't say enough about the service and level of friendliness here! A+

bad beds, pillows. not the level of clealiness I would expect

This motel is inadequate for a family. Small ,old and poorly maintained,

No coffee pot in room - motel manager very helpful to find one. Room very nice.

The good: Free breakfast (waffles, cereal, coffee, bagel, juice), beds don't sag in the middle, great gateway to Yosemite, super-friendly and helpful staff, water pressure/temp is great, free internet and 24 hr pool. The bad: older building that's getting worn and tired, this is definitely not a 5 star resort and honestly a little overpriced for what it it is. Summary: great place for a pre-Yosemite overnight stop - definitely check out the Dirty Donkey bar a block up the street to complete your Oakhurst experience! =)

We had no other choice. We went their for a wedding in Bass Lake. For the amount of money that we paid, I felt it was not worth it. We had problems with out door key at 130 in the morning, had to keep going back & forth to the office because our key did not work. They finally gave me the maids key & I had to take it back at 8am when check out time was not till 11am.

Was disappointing.

room smell bad, they ssay was non smoking which wa not true, they took a lot of time to check in. the ir conditioned didn't work properply, completly dissatisfied

Great coffee and breakfast options. Fabulous waffles. Maid service forgot washclothes one day, and there was never soap or shampoo provided. Wish there had been, as we flew in and didn't bring any. Rite-Aid was great nearby for items we forgot/needed.

Hotel located close to Yosemite National Park, but is too expensive compared to the low quality of the room, including the air condition and rest room. Staff is friendly.

Needs repairs and upgrades.. the staff were very helpful and nice..

Our stay was not at all what we had planned. The whole facility was old and not clean. Our sink and tub did not drain, the pool was green, the whole facility was way outdated and dirty. If there were any other hotels nearby that had availability I would have gladly gone somewhere else and not gotten the refund, that's how bad it was, but everywhere was booked. They de-activated our keys and gave our room to someone else the second day and housekeeping never even came to our room. We arrived in the lobby for our "free" breakfast 45 min after it had started and they were already out of almost everything. The staff was extremely nice but I couldn't wait to check out. Had we only spent a small amount on the room I would have expected these conditions but the rates were well more than they should have been. I will never let anyone I know make the mistake of staying in this hotel.

This very tired and VERY over priced location is in dire need of basic upgrades. Example...it has an old fashioned "Princess Phone", with no information.. it's just a phone. As another reviewer wrote..the door won't close tight unless you dead-bolt it. I travel alot and I have NEVER seen a smaller bar of packaged soap in my life. The window has vertical louvers which don't close tight, so anyone can look in on you. The bathroom fan was so loud, I thought it was going to take off.

Just what I would expect at this cost point. The location makes this hotel a good value. Good food in walking distance. Staff was very friendy. I don't think I will be thru that area agin, but I would stay if I did.

Bed not comfortable, bath room tile sunk and dirty, missing towel hanger, dirty

I checked in to the hotel and noticed stool left in the toilet despite the toilet seat being banded to indicate that it had been cleaned. I had paid for two nights and confirmed this. The next morning I left at 5 am and took my things but left beer in the fridge to enjoy after my hike from half-dome. When I returned at 11pm, there was another guest in my room. I was eventually placed in another room. The next morning, I was told that since I hadn't left any belonings in the room, they had assumed I just left. I asked about the beer and the cleaning person said that they had looked in the fridge and there was no beer present. The management did not question there staff further. There were plenty of open rooms and there was absolutely no reason to assume that I would not be coming back to my paid room, whether or not I had left anything in the room. I will not be returning. I do not trust the cleaning staff.

Short of towels, wash clothes. Blankets were dirty, coffee cups and drinking glasses were missing no plastic in ice buckets, ice machine next to room was broken. Breakfast room was too small for crowd. Dirt outside door. Would not stay here again.

We paid for the location. . With very little effort this hotel could be ok. They simply don't need to do much because of it location. I would not use it again. I would rather pay twice as much to somebody who cared.
