Everything was perfect EXCEPT one of the reasons I chose to drive up the night before and stay at a hotel was that we had a 6AM flight and they offered hotel shuttle to the airport. But when I checked in found out that the shuttle did not start until 6AM so I had to take a taxi which I had never done before, believe it or not, and I was very nervous if the taxi would be on time and the desk had me arrange it so I did not sleep one wink. Other than the shuttle not offereing us transport everything was fine..

Was very satisfied with this hotel. The location not so good, but cleanliness and size was great. The pool was very clean and a good size and the breakfast was very adequate.

Price was right - good service and nice pool and two hot tubs, We would stay there again.

I really enjoyed my stay even in very cold weather the Inn has so much to do and offer. The indoor pool was a joy and very clean. I was alone, and even though it is far off the regular roads, I felt safe. Big Clean convention Center with loads of meeting rooms. GREAT BREAKFAST! Nice staff! The only bad thing is directions in and out of there. The rest is highly recommended!

The Baymont Inn was a wonderful surprise. It was nestled among trees just changing leaves for the fall which could be viewed out our windows instead of parking lots or roads. The room was very nice and, although I was only there to sleep really, it was so VERY PLEASANT with a free sizable breakfast. It was close to Simpson College, which is where I needed to be for the homecoming celebrations. Very nice bed with a sitting area. Beautiful, quiet location.

The employees were very helpful and friendly. They took care of our needs even before being asked. The breakfast was very complete and good. We enjoyed it all. Thank you staff !!!!

good place to stay- kids had fun in the pool. Friendly service. Didn't like the inconvenience of the distance I had to walk for vending, but I guess excercize never hurt anyone.

Nice hotel and a great deal. Pool area and hot tub were very nice. Rooms were spacious and comfortable

We wanted a cheap place to stay and were happy with the rate and quality of the hotel.

Was looking for an airport hotel for an early AM flight, thought this was closer. However, it's still a decent place to stay.

The pool and whirlpool was closed all week and weekend we were there. They charged a high fee to my credit card as a precaution. I thought the amount was out of line. I did get the money back but was not pleased. We had stayed at this hotel last year when we were in Des Moines for the same event and it has really changed. Last year the beds were comfortable and this year they were really lumpy. The coffee in the room was not replaced every day so my husband had to go out for his morning coffee at times. We are not going to stay there next year.

Our family stayed in a "suite" type room, two double beds and a small sofa sleeper in a living room area. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very enjoyable for our whole family (5 kids 12 - 2 yrs old). The kids had a great time in the pool and the sauna. The complimentary breakfast was better than I had expected. They had the standard fare of cereal, toasts, breads, juices and coffees. They also had a waffle maker, and hot food too sausage, biscuits and gravy. It's close to the airport and zoo, but not much else. You have to go about 3 miles away just to hit your standard fast food establishments.

Nice room. Beds a bit too firm but overall very nice. Breakfast very well done.

The hotel was nice and clean. Pool was clean and comfortable. Although a lady who was in charge of the front when I arrived late in the evening was not very helpful, a man next morning was very nice and kind guy. Room was clean but there was no microwave and fridge. Except the lack of these appliances, this hotel was almost satisfactory.

A great place to stay if you want to be close to the airport but not right on Fleur Drive. The hotel and grounds were very well kept and the room was spacious and quiet. The hotel has a little convenience store tucked in a corner of the lobby which was nice because there were no gas stations or grocery stores within walking distance. Easy access to the airport and Highway 5. Suitable for business or family travel. The pool was closed for maintenance on 7/25-26/11.

I was very impressed with this motel. Being an airport facility, it was a bit removed from everything, but that was nice--access to all parts of the city were easy. Anyone fearing this place might be noisy being by the airport--do not worry. It was very quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room spotless, the complementary breakfast beyond expectations. I enjoy Des Moines--and now I have found the place I will continue to stay.

They don't tell you that the hotel is located right next to a trucking school. We got to the hotel and it was nothing but trucking students. Everywhere you went they were there just wacthing you. The pools chemicals were all messed up, and it got shut down our first night. So we got our money back and left. The free breakfast was horrible. They had some snacks, and fruit that was it. And again the breakfast room was full of creepy trucking students. The hotel was also so far away from anything. It was really in the middle of nowhere. The people who work there were very rude. When my wife went to check out they were very snotty and couldnt understand why we wanted to leave. The bed was nice but nothing in the room worked. The microwave was broke the lighting sucked. Overall a poor hotel. We ended up leaving and staying at Stoney Creek Inn, should have just stayed there to begin with...

We booked the hotel for the night while attending a funeral. Rooms were immaculate. VERY nice accommodations. Beds were sunken and lumpy -- but things like that don't bother me.

I really enjoy this hotel. They have so many little touches that make it enjoyable. They have two hot tubs, one is for adults only in it's own private area. They have a rec room which has a big screen tv and lots of couches, perfect when a number of friends are staying together in the hotel. It's very clean, the beds are really soft, everyone is really nice. Just an overall great hotel. Oh and the continental breakfast was great, waffles, biscuits and gravy, bagels, cereal, everything.

I chose this hotel because it had gotten good reviews for this class of hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. I could not have expected more for the money.

The room was fine but had water stains on the ceilng and the ceiling tiles were sagging. Everything else was fine.

Our family stayed at the Baymont since we were attending the Balloon Classic in Indianola. Even though their address is Army Post Road, it's deceiving since it's actually very far west, almost to I-35. It was difficult to find at night plus there aren't too any other businesses, restaurants, gas stations, etc. around it. We stayed two nights. After the first night, we left early (6 a.m.) and were gone until about 3 p.m., but our room still hadn't been touched...even though we had told them we were on our way out already. We had to continually ask for towels since room wasn't made up. Adjusting the temperature in the room also proved to be difficult as it seemed it was either too warm or too cold. The A/C was needed since it was very warm and humid outside, but it was easy to freeze in our room when you wanted to cool it down. Nice breakfast available with hot waffles and large seating area, but I couldn't get any since they started cleaning up everything early. Rather frustrating! Kids did swim in pool Saturday afternoon but said it was rather cool to stay in for very long. We might stay there again in future and/or recommend it to others depending on what event or reason would bring us/them to Des Moines and if it was in the area of the south side since this hotel is out of the way. The rooms are nice enough to warrant another try at least.

Loved the hotel, nice big rooms, running trail near by.....but there wasn't much hanger space at all AND (did have continental breakfast) but there is NO place to eat at the hotel!?!? Not even a cocktail lounge or deli!?!?

Superior quality for the price. Very friendly and helpful staff.

My husband, three children and I stayed in a suite. It was nice to have so much space and two rooms to spread out. The only problem was that the couch did not fold out into a bed as I expected, so we had to get a roll away bed--no big deal. The french doors separating the bedroom from the sitting area did not have any curtains, so we had to drape a sheet over them for privacy. When we called the front desk for an extra blanket, we were told they were out--that just seemed strange. It was nice to have the small kitchen area in the room, and especially helpful to have it stocked with dishes and silverware! The kids loved the pool and the rec room/game room. The breakfast was great--is is always nice to have a combination of hot and cold food. The hotel is a bit remote, no restaurants within wlaking distance. Overall, we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay.
