This hotel was comfortable but definitely NOT sound proof! We could hear the guy in the next room snoring!! And there was also a school on a trip to Rome, we heard the kids running in the hallway till late hours of the night. In essence, you could hear EVERYTHING, even the bell boy in the mornings. No Wi-fi included and it is expensive to purchase. It was clean and the room was comfortable. The shuttle to town was convenient.

I had a wonderful time at Melia. The Breakfast Buffet offers a variety of choices. The staff was very courteous. Everyone was very friendly. Their shuttle service to the Piazza was an incentive to the hotel. The drivers were polite and friendly.

For a city like Rome, with all it's noises during day and night, the location of the hotel is very good. A place to relax during your resting hours. You should manage your times carefully, in order to travel to the historical city and return to the hotel with the shuttle bus provided free of charge by the hotel. It runs very punctual. All the features of the hotel reflects it's 4 Stars category outstandingly. Not a common thing in Rome. I will definitely return to this hotel while in Rome, and I fully recommend it.

Great place with very good service. I hope the owners keep up with renovations years down the road. Don't forget to up date back of house.

This is the second time we've stayed here. It's convenient to the airport and has a great pool. The prices were reasonable a nd the room was fine.

As the title suggests you are going to have to pay for lots of extras most hotels include as standard. Parking for a start 14 Euro a day! Wifi, most hotels allow you to use the Wifi in the lobby for free, not here 4 Euro for half an hour. Breakfast (I must admit that I was aware that this wasnt include in our room rate) but 16 Euro per person per day!! If you want a beer take your credit card 9 Euro for one beer. The location isnt very good either, they do run a courtesy bus but it only runs once every 90 mins so if you miss it you either have to pay for a taxi or find somewere to wait. The room was clean and tidy though and it was made up every day so that was nice and most of the staff were friendly (receptionist when checking in had an attitude problem). So all in all if you have the spare money to pay for all these things you would be better off booking a hotel closer to town and paying the extra there. This hotel appears to be mainly for tour groups.

It's shuttle services are good, however, there's one thing to consider: The last shutte back to the hotel leaves at 10pm from the Vatican wall. This means that the dinner usually has to end around 9pm for the connections to work out and that may be a little too early.

Very clean and well maintained. Check-in was very slow considering they had 3 people at the desk. The room was clean and spacious. Internet was available in the room however you had to connect your computer to a Ethernet cord for a price. The only wi-fi in the hotel was in the lobby downstairs, not very convenient especially because you still had to pay for that as well. And last, check out was also very very slow.

Very good hotel, staff very friendly. Hotel little far from city but provides a free shuttle service.

The Hotel Melia Aurelia Antica is about 8km from the Vatican, so is reasonably close to centre of Rome, with a free courtesy bus. However, the hotel's web site indicated that courtesy bus would pick up travellers from Via Della Giulio Cesare, near Ottaviano Station, but the courtesy bus actually sets down about 500 metres away, at Piazza Risorgimento. We were stuck for an hour waiting for a bus which didn't come. We eventually took a taxi to the hotel. Hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable, but do not have electric jugs for making tea or coffee. As the hotel is located about 2 km from shops, this is a real inconvenience. Additionally, there was no information about the local ATAC bus route (892) which passes the front door regularly,and connects to the nearest shops, cafes and restaurants, and to the Rome Metro. You should research this on the ATAC web site before going to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, and rooms were spotlessly clean.

I was caught off gurard to find out that parking was 16 Euro (over $20.00 at time of our travel). However, you may park your car outside that hotels fenced off area (not recommended). We found that breakfast was fairly expensive as well. The beds in this hotel were the best of our three week vacation, which is much needed for all the sightseeing that can be done.

Great Hotel, exceeded my expectations for an Italian hotel. Its a little out of the way, but a lot closer to the airport than the hotels that are centrally located in Roma. Friendly staff, plush rooms, a couple of nice shops on the first floor, swimming pool and a free shuttle service that drops you off right up the block from the Vatican was everything I needed in a hotel when I was passing through Roma. I would not suggest eating or having drinks at the hotel as it is very expensive, so I brought food back to room from city. Other than that, I AM definitely staying at this hotel when I return next year, it was a great hidden gem I came across on this site.

Bus transport provided by the hotel from/to the hotel was oke. But I think the capacity was still too small. Because of the distance, many of the hotel guest take the bus transport, but many couldn't transported. So they have to wait a long time for the next bus or take an expensive paid taxi.

The personnel were extremely helpful and caring. We received an upgraded room and were very happy with the comfortable, quiet accommodations. An employee helped clear up an Autostrada toll ticket problem we had by phoning them and describing our problem of an unread ticket to them in Italian. Only trouble we had was finding the hotel, since we didn't have a GPS in our car. Luckily, we accidentally fell onto the right street during the daylight hours. If you don't have GPS, you must have a detailed description of how to get there.

We were extremely impressed with our spacious room and the friendly hotel staff were amazingly helpful. The major problems we had with our stay was the hotel location. Make sure you call the hotel to get specific instructions on how to get to the hotel - it is not accessible from the Metro directly. Additionally, the hotel has a free shuttle to get into the city of Rome since the hotel is outside the perimeter. This sounds wonderful but our experience with the shuttle was not. It was easy to take the shuttle into the city, but we were not able to ride the shuttle back to the hotel because it was too full and other hotel guests pushed and shoved to get onto the shuttle. If you take the shuttle into the city do not expect to catch it coming back! We had to take the Metro to the last station, walk about 2 miles to get to a taxi stand, and then pay another 12 euro to get back to the hotel - not a fun experience. Luckily, our room had a full bath so it was a good way to blow off the steam of that portion of the stay.

This is a lovely hotel. The shuttle bus was very convenient for getting into the city, but did get very busy and early arrival to the bus stop is advisable. For leaving the city a car is needed really, although public transort is very cheap. The pool was ideal and the hotel was clean and pleasant.

Great hotel, but a little too far from the city center. The shuttle only runs every 75 minutes. If we weren't standing in line about 20-30 minutes before the departure time, we were unlikely to get a spot on the bus. Great deal for the quality of the hotel, but if we did it again, we'd probably stay closer to the center of Rome.

The hotel was absolutely wonderful. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were clean. The hotel staff was always courteous and spoke several languages. They had no problem organizing cabs for us to travel into the city at night. The shuttle was extremely convenient. The only downside was the location, do not bother trying to find it yourself... take a cab.

Hotel was great. We didn't find it too cumbersome to take the hourly shuttle into downtown Rome. Shuttle drops right near the Vatican and next to the Metro station. Very convenient.

Not quite what would be expected of a hotel in the USA, but superior to what you would expect in Europe.

The Good: Free shuttle service to the heart of Rome (and back). Nice looking as you enter. Professional staff. AC was working well. The Bad: Pool was under repair. You can't just buy a coffee, you have to get the whole breakfast. No shuttle service to the Airport.

Nice hotel, clean, very helpful staff, particularly Federica! Rock hard beds (pretty common in Europe). Better breakfast than 95% of Europe. Shuttle bus travels every hour or so between the hotel and a metro stop, on a printed schedule, reliably. Have to be in line at least half hour early every early and late to compete for a seat...or no ride. About a 20 minute, 15 Euro cab ride to/from that station, if you can find one. Took us 20 minutes 1 night to hail one when we couldn't get a seat. The last bus is 10pm which means you need to be there by 9:30, which means you need to leave where you're at by 9pm for the metro...not at all convenient, and limiting to your vacation. Stay in Rome and pay a little more...how often do you get to go there??? The hotel is itself a good value otherwise.

La estancia muy buena, el hotel muy comodo , el desayuno muy bueno y lo demas acorde, los unicos comentarios negativos son que esta un poco alejado para el que no cuenta con vehiculo propio, pero sino son 15 min al Vaticano, por otra parte nos quedamos mas dias de lo reservado en primera instancia y los valores son muy diferentes, hasta casi el doble, el estacionamiento es pago,(en mi caso por ser discapacitado fue gratis) pero en general es muy buen hotel.Muy recomendable, volveria con gusto teniendo reservado con los valores iniciales.

Albergo dalla struttura molto bella, peccato per il posizionamento assolutamente fuori mano ed in una zona periferica. Il parcheggio a pagamento l'ho trovato oltraggioso.

Das Hotel ist eher für große Gruppen mit eigenem Bus als fürf Einzelreisende geeignet, da der Shuttle-Bus nur alle 1,5 bis 2 3/4 h verkehrt und zudem der Rücktransport aus dem Zentrum nicht verläßlich ist.Das Zimmer war b ei Ankunft um 13h3o noch nicht bezugsfertig und wurde immer erst am späten Nachmittag gemacht. Service am Empfang sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Het hotel is ver buiten het centrum van Rome gelegen. Gelukkig kun je gebruik maken van een shuttlebus die vlak bij het Vaticaans Museum stopt. De laatste bus vertrekt hier om 22.00 uur. Het hotel heeft een pintautomaat. Vergeet je creditkaart niet mee te nemen. Alles wat je gebruikt kan alleen maar via een creditkaart genoteerd worden. De consumpties in het hotel zijn absurd hoog. Voor een glas wijn en een ice team moesten wij € 11,00 afrekenen. Buiten proportie. Helaas gaat het zwembad pas om 10.00 uur 's ochtends open en sluit al om 18.00 uur 's avonds.

Hotel excelente, ótimo atendimento, quartos limpos e café da manhã ( meio caro) mas de primeira qualidade, atende a todos os gostos. Quanto a localização, fica afastado dos pontos turistico, sendo assim é um local calmo e tranquilo para descansar, mas o serviço de transposte do hotel nos atendeu muito bem. Com certeza me hospedaria novamente e indico a todos.

Man merkt dem Hotel an, dass es keine Stammgäste hat, im Sinne von ausbleibender Verbindlichkeit. Das Hotel lebt wohl von Bus-Touristen, Groß-Seminar-Veranstaltungen, die wenigsten sind eigenständige Reisende. Das "hoheitsvolle" Getue der Bediensteten könnte man auch als arrogant abtun, was sehr störend ist. Eiskalte Freundlichkeit, kein Aufgenommensein kommt da hoch. Das Gefühl beinahe wie bei der Klimaanlage, die sich schlecht regeln lässt, da man die Lamellen nicht verstellen kann, und diese auf`s Bett gerichtet sind. Der shuttle bus nach Rom klappt wunderbar. Allerdings ist man nachts mehr oder weniger auf Taxi oder Metro angewiesen! Das Frühstücksbüfett ist sehr reichhaltig ausgestattet. Die Zimmer sind o.k. Die große Terrasse ist meist mit geschlossener Gesellschaft belegt. Die Gäste werden dann ins Innere verpflichtet. Irgendwie doch gegängelt, nur stimmen hier dann die Preise nicht!

El hotel por precio es un chollo aunque esta un poco lejos del centro, suerte que tienen un autobus gratuito que te lleva al centro.

ALL'ARRIVO ALL'ACCETTAZIONE LA DIREZIONE HA PROVVEDUTO AD ASSEGNARCI UNA CAMERA SUPERIOR ALLO STESSO PREZZO PATTUITO E SENZA SPESE AGGIUNTIVE . LA CAMERA ERA COMODA ACCOGLIENTE CON UN ARREDAMENTO CURATO NEI DETTAGLI. UNICO NEO IL SERVIZIO TV SOLO A PAGAMENTO. SICURAMENTE DA CONSIGLIARE

Dålig opplevelse. Betjeningen på hotellet var generelt frekke og lite behjelpelige. Hotellet ligger 30 min fra Roma sentrum og man må bytte buss/t-bane. Hotellet har egen buss som går fra hotellet og til Roma sentrum (ikke langt fra Vatikanet). Denne bussen har en rutetabell, men tydligvis gjør buss sjåføren som han selv vil. Noe som resulterte i at vi ble gående rundt i Roma sent på kvelden for å finne taxi / annen buss, siden bussen hadde kjørt for tidlig. Å ringe hotellet var det lite hjelp i.

Super hotel med rigtig god morgen buffet. Der kører en gratis bus fra hotellet til en metro lige ved Peter's kirken og retur 10 gange om dagen( 08 - 22). Hotellet kan anbefales, dog er prisniveauet højt, som det er i Italien

Voor deze reis is de prijs / kwaliteit verhouding van het hotel zelf uitstekend. (Kamers kosten bij zakelijke verhuur een veelvoud van wat wij betalen). Vriendelijk personeel. Op alle vragen en verzoeken werd adequaat gereageerd. Bij het inchecken werd meteen een korte beschrijving gegeven van de "things to do and to visit". Shuttle bus naar de stad (gratis!) is een prima service. Maar als de bus vol zit (wat regelmatig voor schijnt te komen) is het openbaar vervoer een uitstekend alternatief : Metro halte Cornelia en bus lijn 892, stopt voor het hotel. Zeker als men een Rome pas koopt (23 E., 3 dagen vrij vervoer bus, tram en metro + 2 gratis museum bezoeken + korting op de overige musea), is openbaar vervoer leuk, leerzaam en simpel. Dat het hotel eigenlijk een congreshotel is (de baas betaalt dan natuurlijk) blijkt uit de horeca tarieven : ontbijt 17 E. en een rondje in de bar voor 5 personen (basic drinks) 29 E. Dus gewoon naar de Simply Market bij metrohalte Cornelia en het gekochte meenemen naar de kamer. Voor het overige : Hotel Melia Roma : warm aanbevolen.

Det var et fint hotell. Men prisen for en flaske vann på restauranten var 5 euro!! Roomservice koster 9 euro!!! Internett koster 25 euro for et døgn!! Alt er med andre ord veldig dyrt. Taxi til sentrum koster ca 20 euro i snitt. Det er ingen grunn til å bo her om du vil være i Roma. Mitt tips er at dere finner et hotell som er i sentrum. Området Aurelia er nærmest en forstad. Det finnes ikke restauranter i nærheten. Skal du bo her så er man låst. Det går riktignok en egen hotellbuss til og fra sentrum noen ganger i løpet av dagen, men den siste fra byen går kl 22. Og det er litt kjedelig å sitte på rommet sitt kl 23.

Das Hotel ist von der Ausstattung und der Sauberkeit wirklich sehr gut, dazu recht günstig. Leider sind die Preise im Hotel recht teuer. Eine Cola oder ein Essen kostet in etwa 100% mehr als in der Stadt in einem Restaurant. Ein weiteres Manko ist der weite Weg in die Stadt. Der dafür vorgesehene Shuttlebus fährt nur bis 22 Uhr. Wer also das Nachtleben kennen lernen will sollte sich dessen bewusst sein. Auch für Familien ist das Hotel nur bedingt zu empfehlen. Der Shuttlebus ist immer Voll und es gibt regelrechte Kämpfe um die Plätze im Bus, bei denen meist Kinden den kürzeren Ziehen. Der Pool und die Liegewiese ist sauber und schön angelegt, leider etwas klein für so viele Hotelzimmer. Fazit: Für Leute ohne Kinder, die Abends gerne rechtzeitig ins Bett gehen um tagsüber die Stadt zu besichtigen ist das Hotel Ideal. Für Familien und Nachtmenschen nur bedingt zu empfehlen.

fint hotel - men langt fra centrum Det er ekstemt dyrt at spise og drikke på hotellet og der ligger intet alternativ i gåafstand fra hotellet. Maden ikke special interessant. Morgen madsbuffet okay. Personalet rigtig søde og serviceminded.

...Abbiamo trascorso con i miei suoceri una indimenticabile vacanza presso il Melia....una struttura poco fuori Roma in un ambiente tranquillo e rilassante...le camere sono spaziose e di gran lusso cosi' come il bagno...la piscina un incanto!!!Davvero comodo il servizio navetta che ti porta in centro senza problemi di dover prendere l'auto...In poche parole siamo rimasti davvero entusiasti della scelta dell'hotel....Eccellente!!!

In diesem Hotel stimmt alles: Zmmer, Frühstück und Service waren sehr gut. Schöner Pool mit Liegewiese.
