Its good

Hotel was way over-priced for such adated and old hotel. TV was pre-historic and the room old... good views though. The security system to the rooms was turned off as they couldn't get it to work!!

The staff is very friendly and will try to please you in all ways. The food is good and the hotel is located close to the Ayala Center and IT Park. The casino is fun but if you are a non-smoker then it is very tough for you. The swimming pool is very nice and if you enjoy hot weather then this is the place to be.

Very old and dated rooms ...even the tv was old. Majestic appearance from a distance and an impressive lobby does not help the tired and old rooms.... Way overpriced for the standard of the room...

With the exception of the renovations of the lobby, the overall experience was exceptional. The U.S. Consul is located at the basement level for convenience and there is also a Duty Free Store as an added bonus to the spacious Casino.

Nice hotel location, right next to Cebu IT park! I was satisfied with my stay here, but the rooms could need upgrading, they are getting old!

It is convenient to everything. The only thing I wasn't satisfied was the bed is old and the towels are old and hard. They should change their beds and bathroom furnishings and they do not have iron available in the room.

when checking I was force to take a room that is for a smoker since the non smoking rooms were filled. to breath second hand smoke is a health risk. The hotel has it for people who use there debit cards like they are credit cards and the whole trip almost was a bust. I had ask the person booking the room to added note and it seem that it didnt get added or the hotel didnt what to make arrangements to make it so

Close to Ayala Center - nice area around the hotel, including nice pool area, my experience was a VERY helpful and polite crew in hotel making you feel really welcome. Absolutely nothing to complain about . The hotel is also well suited for families.

Excellent personnel....... Excellent service...... First night I didn't sleep well because of outside noise, they upgraded me to the executive floor without hesitation. The hotel personel makes it a point to see that you are satisfied in every way. I would diffinitly stay there again......

I loved the view of the Mormon temple, when I opened the curtains, room #217! The staff was very helpful. The breakfast buffet was fabulous! The Christmas decorations were amazing. The room was very clean and comfortable.

I had stayed many times in this hotel and i really like it. but I am having only one problem always that once i check in there are some emergency deposit which is blocked on the credit card. And once checking out, they make new approval from credit card for any pay. That creates problem since the block amount releases after 15 days. That doesnt help during trip and infact makes problem on credit card. They should make sure that they use same authorization number to get any payments instead of taking new approval. Thanks

please do not stay at this hotel, i had a very bad expierence, i purchased a pastry from the cake shop in the hotel it had a bug, secondly there was a nail hidden in the carpet on which i stepped on, thirdly i asked for a ironing board & a iron to iron my clothes, the ironing board was hazardous & not in compliance to cinsumer safety, the duty manager forced me to pay for the same. stay tat the shangrila rather than the waterfront

Friendly staff, clean hotel but the room is very small.

The hotel was so great but there noise like disco music coming from the back of the hotel Until 0300am we try to ask the hotel They say there a disco bar at the back of the hotel Seem the room window cannot protect the noise From outside Thanks

It's located near shopping mall and IT park. But, i disapointed that smoking guy in the hotel hall. There's no crew to complain the smoking guy.

Very affordable and they offer complimentary breakfast everyday. Nice and clean rooms but the TV is still very much outdated. Fast check-in and check out

One of the best hotel in Cebu. The staffs are friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. They even allow me to do an early check-in (with a small fee) as my flight arriving in the morning. Currently the hotel is undergoing a minor renovation and it was carried out in a well organised manner. I am sure it will be better after the renovation.

Very enjoyable stay. Beautiful pool, excellent proximity to malls and night life, good restaurants, comfortable bed, GREAT gym. If you are looking to sight-see, a driver and car are available for 3 hours for just under 2kp. Carpeting in the hotel is in serious need of replacement...this place could be a gem with minimal investment in updates. Room view was a little odd for a high end room (demolished buildings, slummy surroundings); however the general beauty of Cebu always wins with her charm. In the end, I would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Waterfront. The location is quite good right next to the Asiatown IT area, where there are lots of great food, drink, and entertainment options. The Ayala Mall is also just a 10 minute walk the other direction (although that's not such a pleasant stroll). The room was very comfortable - all the features & amenities one would expect of a hotel of this caliber - except for one thing that did lower my opinion of the hotel. When we requested a bottle opener, the staff member that showed up with one insisted upon opening our bottles himself and not simply leaving the opener with us for the duration of our stay. Since we didn't want to constantly be calling for bottle opening service every time we wanted a bottle opened, we had to go out and buy our own bottle opener. Did they not trust us to leave the opener or return it when we checked out? Did the hotel have a bottle opener shortage? Or maybe they simply wanted to encourage us to drink their canned mini-bar drinks that did not require an opener. Regardless of their reasons, I thought it quite odd. Whenever I've requested a bottle opener at other hotels, one has simply been loaned to me for the duration of my stay. Not the case with the Waterfront. Since we were able to find a bottle opener to buy without too much trouble, it was just a tiny inconvenience, and that really was my only complaint about my stay at the Waterfront though.

before this i last checked in at this hotel 5 yrs ago. I think the hotel has degraded in quality. It is curretnly undergoing a major renovation. If you dont mind being awaken by construction work from your nap, this hotel is good enough. This hotel is at the city center, if not for the traffic jam most of the point of interest within the city can be reached in less than half an hour. The breakfast buffet is good.

This the the first time I stay at this hotel in Cebu. Compare to other city hotels such as Marriot, Marco Polo, etc.This hotel is relatively old. Hotel is under renovation at this moment, I believe when it is completed, it will be far better than before. It is generally OK for the price I paid. As I was given the lowest floor in the hotel, I am pretty disappointed with this arrangment even I had requested for higher floor well in advance and furthure requested again during check in .

This place has everything you want for amenities and activities for the family. Awesome rooms with updated furniture and clean also.

Have stayed on this hotel for many years and recently theres renovation going on , it will be even better when it's complete.Hopefully the shower wont leak thru the floor. Looking forward to stay after the renovation. Keep it up. Thank you...

The staff is excellent. The hotel is beautiful. I work at a five star in Las Vegas and we could learn a lot from them. Anything you need at anytime. From directions to recommending daily activities they are happy to assist you in any kind of way. The front desk staff seems to lack personality but they are very busy so I didn't hold them to it. Stay there for sure.

-Buffet breakfast was great with variant choices from 530am to 1030am. -Swimming pools are also a great attraction esp. for family with kids. -Very convenient to get taxis. -Proximity to Ayala Mall is a big plus (10 min drive)

Hotel is in a great location and the shuttle to the shopping center Ayala and SM was great. Would like to have had an ironing board and Iron available for cloths wrinkled from travel. They make you send your cloths out to have them pressed which is expensive. Staff was friendly and food was OK but Very expensive.

We were there in May 2011 and our experience was excellent. Thisis the second time we booked with this hotel. Both stays have been memorable and we will most likely book with them again when we are back in town. Everything from the staff to the overall look of the hotel met all our expectations. And it is conveniently located near the Ayala center where shops and restaurants are at (just a few minutes taxi ride away). Definetly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Waterfront Cebu hotel to attend a conference. My 4 day stay was indeed comfortable and nice. The amenities and facilities were satisfactory. The service was good but can be improved. My wife requested for an iron at 7pm. Despite repeated calls and reminders it was only delivered the following day. The excuse being the hotel was full!! We received the same excuse when checking in and checking out. Well as a hotelier, the best compliment one can receive is an 100% occupancy rate. If one cannot handle the fact that comes with that then should be prepared to lose customers.

Nothing was annoying and was pleasant place to stay. But the bathroom was quite cold and the water drain was bad in the shower booth... and the water was not hot enough. We didn't stay long, would have call the desk for the water drain if we were to stay longer. Other things were okay and buffet was fine.

I was indeed very happy to see the quick response of your hotel staff when I complained of the smell of smoke in my room because I immediately got an asthma attack triggered by the smell of cigarette. Your front desk supervisor I think is Serene arranged for downgrade to another non-smoking floor and offered in exchange a free use of the facility for refreshment and food on the I think 14th floor. I was impressed but as a friend was with me who preferred the slightly bigger room and then we decided not to change room. Thank you Serene.

i stayed there for 8 days and the staff was so polite and friendly, there was always somebody cleaning something somewhere, the menu for the restaurant was just ok, after 8 days of eating the same food it would have been nice to see more items on the menu. their breakfast buffet was fine. I really enjoyed the people there and would definitely go back.

WE BOOKED THROUGH HOTELS.COM & STAY FROM APRIL 22-25. CHECK IN WAS A BREEZE & THE ROOMS WERE SMOKING ROOM AS REQUESTED. MAYBE NEED TO CHANGE TV TO LCD UNIT. BUFFET BREAKFAST AT UNO IS GREAT WITH LOTS OF VARIETIES & OPTIONS. ITALIAN DINNER AT La Gondola IS DELICIOUS & REASONABLY PRICED. TAXI TO NEARBY SM MALL, AYALA CENTER, MANGO SQUARE ONLY ABOUT PHP100 (US2) PLUS TIPS. TAXIS IS READILY AVAILABLE AT THE HOTEL & ALWAYS USE METER. OVERALL THE MANAGEMENT & STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY & HELPFUL. I LOOK FORWARD TO MY NEXT STAY THERE AGAIN & WOULD RECOMMEND TO FELLOW TRAVELERS.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at Waterfront Hotel.

the gym was a really good place for a workout. the room was above average and the staff was good

The hotel was spotless, lots of attractions in the hotel its self, service of the staff was friendly and helpful enough, room was clean, very comfortable and nicely sized. My only issues with the hotel were that check in time was stated at 2pm which I arrived at 1pm thanks to early flight to find the room wasn't ready.. not a problem of course but when I came back at 2pm it still wasnt ready I had to wait in the lobby for 30 mins past check in time, then go up to the room and wait another 10 for the cleaners to finish... annoying when your jet lagged and want some rest, the reception was always swarming with people and the queue took a long time there, and the hotel elevators were the most popular thing there and could take 5 mins or more waiting to get to your room... It was a great place just those few minor niggles, not enough to really make it a terrible experience :)

Great service. Good food. Easy check-in, no hassles. They even have the option of not paying the security deposit for the fridge(they'll just padlock it instead). I think the only CON in our stay here, was the bell boy eager to carry our things at our room while we were talking to someone we met at the hotel, I find it rude.

This is a great hotel and very good value. Huge room with a great view. Excellent service, I missed the mall shuttle and the staff said no problem and drove me to where I wanted to go in another vehicle as a service. Happy, helpful staff, great breakfast...very clean..safe...what more can you expect from a hotel. I got a great rate at the 3+ night hotel stay too.
