Best Western Nouvel Orleans - باريس

يبعد الموقع 100 قدم عن محطة المترو ولم يكن من الممكن أن يكون أقرب من ذلك. الغرف كبيرة بالنسبة إلي معايير باريس لكنها أيضاً صغيرة بالنسبة لمعايير الولايات المتحدة. الحي امجاور لطيف جداً ويوجد الكثير من اماكن الأكل القريبة. المفاجأة اللطيفه هو ان غرفتي كان بها ثلاجة. طاقم العمل كان متعاوناً ويتحدثون اللغة الإنجليزية. مكان الإستحمام كان ضيقاً لكن هذا طبيعي في باريس. ضغط الماء كان جيداً وكانت هذه مفاجأة لطيفة أيضاً.

اشتريت هذه الرحلة لصديقتي كهدية عيد الميلاد وأنا سعيد جداً بتجربتي في هذا الفندق. هذه هي زيارتي الثالثة لباريس وكان هذا أفضل فندق علي الإطلاق. يوجد بالجوار العديد من المطاعم والمخابز اللطيفة وأقربهم علي بعد 100 متر من الفندق كما انه قريب من المترو. أنصح به بكل تأكيد وسوف أزوره مرة أخري.

موقع الفندق كان رائعاً وقريب لكل شئ قد تحتاجه (المترو، المخابز، المقاهي، محلات البقالة، المطاعم، محطة قطار إلي مطار CDG) بدون دفع الكثير لأننا قريبين من نهر السين. يبعد النهر 5 دقائق بالمترو و25 دقيقة مشياً إلي نوتردام. الموظفين كانو جيدين، الغرف كانت نظيفة وحديثة. مشكلتنا الوحيدة كانت الضجيج الذي يصل إلي الغرفة مع أننا كنا في الجانب الهادئ من الفندق (ليس في مواجهة الشارع الرئيسي) لكن بدأ موظفي النظافة كنس الفندق مبكراً جداً، المصعد والسلم كانو بجوار الغرفة وأدي هذا إلي استيقاظنا كثيراً في المساء كما أن جهاز التكييف كان يصدر أصواتاً مزعجة. لكننا لم ننشغل بتغيير الغرف حيث ان الـ iPods كانت كفيلة بانهاء الإزعاج ولم نكن نريد ان نعيد ترتيب كل حقائبنا. أنصح بغرفة في أخر الممر أو قريباً من الدور العلوي. بالنسبة إلي فندق اقتصادي فهذا الفندق كان لطيفاً.

Small for 3 Adults but good location in good neighbourhood Underground station 5 min walk

This was our second stay at BW Nouvel Orleans. We find it most convenient getting from the airport to Denfert Rocheau station by RER B direct and one block away and Monton Denfert Metro directly across the street. Our son chose a different location and was envious at the ease for us in using metro.Our room was a good size, well maintained/clean, modern bathroom and most comfortable bed. We were given the room location off the street as we requested at booking.There are enough shops and restaurants around and the Daguere street food market one block over.My only disappointment was that there was no in-room coffee/tea kettle.But a full complimentary service tray is offered if requested. I think it should have been mentioned at checkin rather than only if requested by guests. Great value in Paris and will stay again.

Excellent location right next to metro in good neighbourhood. Overpriced, but this is Paris. Great service, just small rooms.

The hotel was very well located. Literally across the street there was a metro station with access to the entire city. Within minute you could be anywhere. The hotel room was large enough for 3 full adults, great view of the surrounding area. The bathroom was clean and specious although the shower was just a bit small, but not a big deal. The elevator was very small, could only fit two adults and maybe 2 small luggage. Again not a big deal. The stall was super friendly and everyone spoke English and Spanish. Would definitely stay there again. The hotel was very centrally located in a strip which shops, restaurants, cafés within minutes of the hotel. There is a Starbucks, a McDonalds, and a Pizza Hut within 1 - 3 blocks from the hotel.

This is not a luxury hotel. On the other hand, the room was clean, decent size, quiet, once we got up to our room in the tiny elevators we had no problems. The breakfast was not worth getting, but there are plenty of nearby cafes where one can have breakfast. In all, for the priice it was a good place for tourists to rest overnight.

The only negative thing was that we booked a triple room through hotels.com, but we were given a twin room with an extra bed (room no 106 is a twin room). It was really small.

We got a good deal on the room, and I'm very happy we chose to stay here. The room and bathroom were teensy tiny, but it was very quiet and clean, had character, and the staff were really nice and friendly. It's right across the street from the Metro and not too far from the RER B line that goes right to the airport. The Catacombs are right down the street, and there are some great bakeries and cheese shops nearby. Not a lot of cheap things in the neighborhood, but there is a Monoprix grocery store very close. I would definitely stay there again.

Charm of older hotel but completely updated. Close to subway and buses in good neighborhood. Staff helpful and speak English.

We stayed here on the 4th floor for two nights at the end of our vacation. After staying at four other hotels, this one fell short of our expectations. While the location is decent - the hotel in general was worn. The hotel has a lobby, offers breakfast, has an elevator, and a location on the metro, but it's very minimalistic. The hotel staff acted like we were inconveniencing them when we had questions, were lacking in customer service with room issues, and overall, did not seem to enjoy their jobs. We tried to speak with the manager, but he was only available during business hours and we were gone and came home after "those hours". The rooms are very small and basic, decor (bedspreads, furniture) dating back to the early 80s, but the bathrooms look like they've been renovated in the last 10 years. They were skimpy on the towels, but provided abundant amenities in the bathroom. The bedspreads and carpeting needed a good cleaning, however, the rooms were clearly tended to by housekeeping - there's not much they can do to brighten a dark and dingy room. The single elevator is tiny (holds one person and their luggage) and the breakfast, at 12 euros, is best left to grab at the many cafes nearby. Overall, this property is more of a 2 star, then a 3 star, but we believe the rating is due to their low-level amenities. We think we can do better and would not stay here again.

Hotel room was very clean! Comfortable and clean bed and bathrooms. Hotel staff was very helpful! Will definitely recommend to anyone.

My friend and I stayed for 4 nights during our first time visiting Paris. The metro station is right outside the front door so traveling within Paris was very easy. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and our room was always freshly cleaned each night when we came home from exploring Paris. The neighborhood is great too - there is a lovely market on Dagurre street a few blocks north and plenty of casual dining options.

The rooms and bathrooms were very small but perfectly adequate for our needs. The rooms and the hotel in general were spotlessly clean and we found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Being opposite a metro station made the hotel a perfect spot to explore Paris and we felt very safe in the area during the evening. We felt that the hotel was excellent value for money.

Perfect location--Metro across the street, good cafes down the street and a MonoPix close to get fruit and breakfast pasteries. The rooms are small and compact, but so are most European hotels. The beds were comfortable. If you're use to having a washcloth, be sure to take a cheap ones with you--European hotels usually don't have them. Ask for the hot water pot for having tea or coffee in your room. Our group of 4 couples was please with staying there.

Overall, this is a nice hotel in a very vibrant neighborhood with many cafes, restaurants, retail and Parisians (not tourists). The entrance to thesubway is right across the street from the hotel. The room has a small refrigerator, which is great because you can buy water, cola (in bulk) and a few other items from one of the two supermarkets that are within a couple of blocks of the hotel. Otherwise, a 16 oz bottle of water can cost $3 to $4.5 and coke cola cost about $4 to $6 in Paris. Additionally, the hotel has FREE Wi-Fi and there is a safe in the room. Complaints about the hotel: First, like most hotels in Europe, the bathroom is very small. Second, the hotel is located at an intersection. Therefore, you hear the traffic, especially the scooters, which Europeans use a lot (and scooters keep a lot of noise). Otherwise, it is a nice convenient place to stay. Third, I the mattress was a bit hard for my taste. However, I am sure other guests really like the hard mattress.

My son and I recently visited Paris for leisure and the HNO was just right for us. I was looking for a moderately priced hotel in a good location with A/C (in case we had a Paris summer heat wave), so I chose HNO based on the hotels.com description and reviews and it lived up to expectations. The hotel is comfortable and in a good location and the AC works just fine, thank you. The hotel staff were nice enough and speak English just fine (and I also speak some French, so I only tested a few with more complex questions). The location is great because there is a Metro entrance (Mouton Devernet, Line 4) right across the street. A main station is only 200 m up the street (Denfert Rocherau) and you can reach this station for 8 euros from Charles De Gaulle airport on the RER train, so getting to the hotel from the airport is a snap. The location meant that we could jump on the Metro and ride 3 stations to Place St. Michel near the Seine for dinner quickly and easily. It is a working class neighborhood so you are not overrun with tourists or paying tourist prices. There are a number of adequate cafes within a short walk. There are also a couple of McDonalds and a Starbucks within 150 m, if that is your fancy. Paris cafe prices are high, so you can also go just up the street to the Monoprix market and get some pain and fromage (bread and cheese) or get some cokes for a reasonable price. The room was tiny as expected, but we managed the two of us just fine. I would definitely go back again.

Hotel Nouvel Orleans in Paris is in a great location if you want to be away from all the hustle and bustle of central Paris.There is metro station across the road from the Hotels and plenty of shops cafes and restaurants near by in this restidential area,you feel you are in the real Paris.The Hotel is very clean,the rooms abit on the small side with not much storage for clothes but with a large comfortable bed.It has a fridge and tea and coffee facilies which came in very useful.We had breakfast in our rooms each morning just went to near by bakery for buy croissants.The staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is well located immediately across the street from a metro stop and is also reached easily by clients on foot who are are traveling to or from Orly Airport in Paris to the terminus at Denfert Rochereau. The people were at the reception were professional, however, the hotel lacks any substantial reception area, has a very tiny elevator, and the rooms were more like closets than sleeping rooms. They were provided with but a single very narrow area with a couple of racks for hanging clothing that also included an in-room safe that was awkward to access. The double room was so small that it was not possible to walk around the bed with luggage in the the room. Also the bathroom was very tiny, including especially the shower. An unstocked minibar was available in the room without cost, including for the two tiny bottles of mineral water therein. Also, the TV worked well. While the room lacked any decorative qualities and had old window treatments, there was no problem with the airconditioning unit. The room contained so little floor space apart from the bed that thorough cleaning of the room would have been impossible. The hotel was more like a two-star facility than a three-star facility.

The room I reserved was supposed to be for 2 people, but it was incredibly small and uncomfortable. The location is great, but I would not stay there again if there are two of us.

I spent one night in this hotel and it was just what was needed. Everything was what you'd expect in a hotel stay. Clean Euro-small room, nice staff. This hotel was located just across the street from a Metro station, so you could get to anywhere you wanted to from there.

It was my first time in Paris and loved all of it. The Hotel is great! Would always recomend.

The hotel is conveniently located right across the street from the Metro. Very cute, rooms are clean and comfortable. Relatively quite, even for a light sleeper. Nice big bathroom. Had loacation facing street, scenery was ok. For Paris the price was right and easy to get around. Alot of cafes and restaurants around. Choices are plentiful. I would definitely stay there again.

nice room for short stay

There is a subway right across the street. there is a grocery store about 1 block away. the street next two the grocery store has a lot of great places to eat. if you are not advinturace eater then 2 McDonalds are within walking distance. there is also a pizza hut on the side street next to the hotel. Breakfast for 7 days at the hotel cost me 144 euros, so it might be cheeper to eat at the crape stand across the street from the hotel. if you use the shuttle to the airport it will cost 40 euros but book your sport as soon as you check in or it will fill up fast. Dont use a taxi if you dont have to going back to the airport. we requested a taxi at 8:30 and he showed up early and charged us another 12 euros before we got down to the curb. we were on the curb at 8:25. The hotel was a good place to sleep. rooms were small but that seems to be the norm in Paris. we had our own bathroom with a shower. the shower is not very big. i had to shower with the shower door open because it was so SMALL. the staff was helpful and spoke english though hard to understand at times. this is a good hotel and would stay here again.

Nice older hotel with very small rooms, but well maintained and clean. Great access to Metro and RTR but some distance to Paris central attractions. Nice surrounding area with many affordable shops and restaurants. Overall, very utilitarian but economical. If you don't mind using the Metro system to get around it will save you some money over the more pricey central Paris hotels.

this is our first time in Paris. We stayed in a 4 star hotel prior to this. Although rated at 3 star, but it is far from that, comparing with the standard in the US or the 4 star hotel we stayed in Paris. The upside is that I already expected that by reading all the previous comments, such as small room, small elevator etc. The staff are very kind, the room is clean and comfortable. The bath room only has shower, but it is adequate for us. We did not eat the breakfast in the hotel, but went to the nearby cafe, which is very good.

Nice area close to Jardin de Luxembourg, it felt very safe and easy-going ... The hotel room was a bit small and the shower cubicle tiny, but it was a quiet street and good value for money especially as we were out sightseeing most of the day anyway.

The hotel is small and quaint however, it was acceptable for our trip. The staff was nice and they did help us get to where we were going. The only problemwe had was that they did not have small face clothes (so bring your own rags) and the bed was too low. If you have back issues or trouble getting up from low areas, this is not the place for you.

The hotel was in a good location being opposite the Metro and about 20 minute walking distance to the Luxembourg gardens. However, the room was tiny and we had a cot for our 1 year old little girl which just about fitted. The lift to the room did not fit the buggy so we had to carry her and buggy seperately. The carpet was not the cleanest for a child to play on. Overall I would rate it 5 out of 10

Everything was good - great location, right across from the metro station, lots of cafes, bistros, bakeries, and markets nearby. Room was clean, bed comfortable. Slightly small to open to full size suitcases. Only complaint is the size of the shower - very, very small, could barely turn around. Front desk staff was always knowledgable of the area and where to find different places. Spoke english and french.

Extremely happy with the value. Shower was a bit small and internet a bit slow (but free!). Everything else was comfortable. For the price, this is absolutely the best location you can ask for with both the Metro and the RER stations right near by and plenty of nice cafes. Recommended for English speaking visitors.

pro: great location con: bad service, the 3 receiptionist we met, only one of them (Alex) is friendly, the other 2 exhibit obvious arrogance and unprofessional rudeness. overall: I wouldn't stay there again, paris metro stations are pretty good so the location benefit (a station cross the street) is not really that crucial

Typically small Parisien triple room. Clean and tidy throughout. Next to Metro and RER with direct links to all major sites and airports. Plenty of good restaurants in the area and a great patisserie a few minutes along the road takes care of breakfast.

Fine hotel for the price

We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2010 with our 3 daughters. They had a triple room and we had a single. The location was excellent since it is across the street from the Metro stop Mouton Duvernet so it is quick to get to any Paris location from here. There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and we didn't bother with the hotel breakfast and ate at an outdoor cafe nearby. We used the L'open bus tour and it stops a short walk from the hotel by the Denfert Rochereau- (across the street from the Catacombs.) I loved the big windows with which opened if you wanted but were very soundproof when you closed them and turned on the airconditioning. The bathroom was large in our room and was well stocked with shampos, soap etc. There was a safe and a fridge in our room as well. The only drawback was the bed was quite firm but I imagine some people prefer this. The huge bonus to this hotel was being able to have our 3 teens in one room and a room for ourselves as well. (Finding a hotel room in Paris for 5 is extremely difficult to say the least!) I had heard negative comments about the small elevator in posts previous but I found it charming and my daughters shipped the luggage up easily with teamwork. If I am ever lucky enough to return to Paris I would definately return to the Best Western Nouvel Orleans.

Only a block or so from the Denfert-Rocherau station, this hotel is located in an excellent area for walking and offers easy access to many Parisian sites - the entrance to the Catacombs is just down the street. Staff was friendly and helpful. You can get good coffee and pastries at the McDonalds right across the street if you don't won't to shell out for the breakfast. Many bakeries nearby. A bargain by any standards.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Nouvel Orleans. Although it was a little older and lacking in some of the modern amenities, it was well-kept and the service was great. The hotel is directly across the road from the metro at one of the outermost stops, so it's about a 20-minute ride into the heart of the city, but we loved not having to walk. It is, of course, a typical European hotel -- small room, tiny bathroom and shower, etc. However, they offered free internet, which we didn't have in any of our other hotels while in Europe. Overall, for the price, it can't be beat!

My girlfriend and I stayed here in late June, 2010, for 4 nights and had a great time. It was our first time at the hotel. We choose it because of the reviews, the price, and the hotel offers parking nearby, which we needed for my girlfriend's car (she drove in from Germany). I am a light sleeper and am sensitive to noise, so shortly after we booked I sent an e-mail to the hotel asking for a room on an upper-level floor. They gave us a room on the 6th floor, facing the street. The room (#602) has a great view of the city rooftops, and a huge window (about 6' by 3') that opens up to let in all the light and air. The window is double-paned, and when closed does a great job in shutting out nearly all of the noise. So we didn't have any trouble sleeping. As other reviewers mentioned, the rooms are small. Facing the window, I could sit on the bed and raise my legs and they would hit the wall (I'm 6'1"), or lie on the bed and stick my feet out the open window. There is a desk and several chairs in the room, so you can move things around if you need to make space for luggage, etc. We spent lots of time in the room and the space was not an issue for us. The bathroom is all in white tile and white paint and has another gorgeous huge 6' x. 3' window that opens up to let in the fantastic Paris light. The bathroom was spotless clean. The shower is a bit small, but that was not a problem for us. The room has a safe (no extra charge) which we used for our passports. It also has a nice flat-screen TV, which has channels in French, English, German and Italian. The elevator, as others have noted, is probably one of the smallest you will ever see. It is rated for three people. We found that, with luggage, only one of us could fit in at a time. But we only had our luggage with us at check-in and check-out, so again that was not an issue. We used the hotel's breakfast service each of the 4 mornings we were there. The price was reasonable and it had a good selection of meats, cheeses,
