It' was good the only thing was at first the lady in the front desk was rude but then after fuzzing with her she calmed down. But other than that it was good.

We had a little bit of a problem ---- The confirmation # I had did not match the # the hotel had----Finally got problem solved---too much trouble ! ! Rooms were ok but very old...Would not chose this hotel again.

The private beach access was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Have no complaints!

this is the last year i am going to stay at travelodge.i have been staying here every year for the past 5 years,and every year the rooms get worse and the service sucks now..room was dirty every day,sink was blocked up when we first checked in,and floors were so dirty that we had to wear shoes in our hotel room at all times.i am going to pay the extra 50 bucks a night to stay somewhere else.

Hotel was comfortable. Sheets and blankets can be replaced though. Don't have any complaints about hotel or the room I like that it has a private beach access outside shower etc. BUT workers there are very rude. Other than bad customer service it is a good hotel room.

I stayed here for a week during my Spring Break with a bunch of friends. The location was great with the short walk to the beach. The rooms were very homey for the price of the hotel. Staff was amazing! Luis, if you read this, you're the man. Best waffle-maker in Texas. Friendliest people you could imagine. Already booked again for next year. Keep it up!

stay was awsome from the moment check in to check out was a nice get away from work stress free loved id would stay again

room smelled a bit but once AC was turned on smell went away overall stay was nice friendly service pool was great heated pool cant beat that it was awsome famliy hab a bast.

Convient for the main kitesurfing beach and walking distance along the seashore to 2 great beach bars. Would stay again.

The room was very clean. The front staff wasn't so friendly but i'm sure they just had a bad day. Good people, good service and even better was the price.

The room was ok altho some flat surfaces were heavy with dust. There was a coffee maker in the room but you have to supply your own coffee. The spray on the shower was very light. The positives were a fridge, microwave, many tv channels, & a large breakfast room with many choices including waffles. There is beach access even tho the motel isn't on the beach. The whole month of March is pretty much devoted to spring break & college kids partying & the noise at night never stops so be prepared for that if you come during March!

good location and nice rooms. beach access is great. however, the staff was extremely rude and unhelpful when we arrived

Had a wonderful stay. Staff very nice. Room was outstanding. Enjoyed it very much.

Although it was spring break with alot of spring breakers our stay was very nice. It was also spring forward "time" wise. The continential breakfast was extended for the hour difference which was nice. They had cool Texas shaped waffles that my son enjoyed. The manager and staff were very nice. Check in and check out was very speedy.

The bed sheets and the comforter had stains, but when I called the front desk they brought me new freshly washed linens.

broken down mattress ( both beds ) very poor lighting, no desk area.had to use a forty inch round table for a computer and taking notes. friends 8 rooms down had the same problems. this motel is in need of a complete renovation. please take this review very serious.....thank you.

Like to say that I was pleasantly surprized at the deal that I got for a place on the beach and the price that I was quoted by Hotels.com The hotel quality was excellent and the cleanliness was just as pleasant. Very comfortable and close to everything on Padre Island Tx. Absolutely would recommend it to everyone. Great Time!!!!!

King room with jacuzzie tub had an adjoining door to next room. It was so loud through this hollow core door we had to move to new room. After 3 attempts with different keys we got downgraded to double queen with no offer for a partial refund. Breakfast was fine.

This motel was full of long-term vacationers, which was kind of surprising given the fact that the rooms were pretty standard (2 beds, small sleeper sofa and small round table with 2 chairs). Each room DOES have a very small microwave and small refrigerator. Our room was billed as wheelchair accessible, which was partly correct ~ it did have a roll in shower, but they had to track down a shower chair for me to us, which was old and rusty. The toilet sat low to the ground, and there were NO grab bags anywhere near the toilet! The facade under the sink hung so low that I could not get anywhere close to the sink. The advertise a Private Beach Access, but when you get to the end of a very narrow boardwalk (long before you reach the beach), it drops down about 6", and you have to cross a narrow street, and then back up a series of steps to get anywhere near the beach! When I asked the staff about an alternate entry (on their property), they directed me to a public beach access several miles away! With as many retired/elderly folks staying there as there were, I'm surprised that things weren't more accessible. The internet signal strength in our room was so poor that I had to go to the lobby to access the internet. This would have been an OK location to spend a night or two had we not had to deal with the inaccessibility issues.

The Hotel was nice. Has a heated pool. A big plus!. Price was right. Room was clean. Room is dated but ok. Will stay there again for sure.

Just wonderful!! A very home-like atmosphere right by the beach. Very relaxing, bet it is going to change during spring-break in such a nice place. Special mention to Luis in the breakfast. He provides the best service with the breakfast and even suggesting what to do during your stay in and around south padre. Will surely go back to the same hotel again in south padre..

I think this was my family's 3rd consecutive Thanksgiving at Travelodge, and we enjoyed ourselves again. The staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. If there is a problem, they respond very quickly. Our favorite staff member is Luis who manages the breakfast area. He is fantastic! He's always upbeat and is ready to assist. I wish I had his energy! He seems to always be on the move but able to connect with all of the customers at the same time. He's really a joy to be around in the morning. The only real negative thing I can say about the hotel is that the maid service isn't that great (although they are friendly too). It seems like they might need a little training. The Thanksgiving dinner didn't even come close to the great meal we had last year. I have no idea what happened, but I left totally unsatisfied. The servers didn't seem too happy to be there either...except for Luis. Minus the Thanksgiving dinner, we really enjoyed ourselves again!

We were not sure if this hotel is clean and safe when we pulled in at late night as we booked it based on reviews online. We stayed on the 2nd floor facing South, the room was nice and large with tile floor. It also equiped with microwave, coffeemaker, fridge. - best of all the room rate is very affordable and decent. Its definately not a 4 star hotel but wtih the money we paid its a great place. It is one of the best 2-star hotels we have ever stayed. Pros: private and easy access to the beach, tile floor ( believe me tile floor is the best, carpet floor only looks luxurious but is actually nasty ) , free breakfast with waffle , free wi-fi, spacious room , fridge. nice waffle guy ( like most review mentioned). Cons: comfort in the room is not super clean but its in ok condition didn't use the hotel pool so can't comment on that Overall we recommend this hotel and will chose it again if we ever come back to SPI

The hotel is close to the beach, inexpensive, and their man Luis treats you like this is a 4 star hotel. A great overall deal.

For the price it was very nice. Everything worked in the room so there was nothing to complain about. It is located on Padre Blvd., which makes it easy to get anywhere you wish to go. Also the Continental breakfast was a nice way to start your day.

The Travelodge at SPI is one of the greatest hotels ever. The whole time me and my girlfriend were there we were completely relaxed. With the exception of the uninvited guest we had, which was a small rat. They quickly gave us a new room and apologized for the inconvenience. The new room was a little beat but still great. The private beach access was only a small walk away, and it was great I must say. Only thing that remotely troubled me was the construction of a new hotel going pñ next door, but nothing big. Oh and Louis the waffle guy was awesome!! Very friendly and very courteous. He really made having breakfast there a treat, oh and the waffles were great too. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Great price for a great hotel.

Our stay at Travelodge is always pleasant..That is the reason we always stay there during Bike Fest and anyother time we stay at South Padre Island..Thank you..

The room didn't have any wash clothes or hand towels. We found a roach in the room. The Internet service was very slow and sometimes didn't work. The private access to the beach was a very narrow long sidwalk that ran between two board fences. It wasn't secure and I would not want to walk to the beach alone or in the dark.

The location is great and has beach access. They NEED to get new linnens, u can see yellow stains all over the white linnen. They didn't let me know there was construction going on right at my door! Staff is very nice and continental breakfast means bagels and self serve waffels.

The only area I really scored low in is cleanliness, due to the bathroom having mold on the floor outside the shower (room 132) The shower curtain does not keep water IN the tub so all the water runs on the floor and the black mold build up is disgusting and the bathroom overall has a bad smell. Beds were very comfortable which is very important to me. Good size room and perfect access to the beach. Pool water looked cloudy, hot tub water cloudy and green. Eww.

Very convinient for that rate. Very satisfied with the continental breakfast included and staff very friendly. Only negative thing was the wi-fi, weak or no signal at all in the last rooms.

Bed a little bit on te hard side. Plenty of bath & hand towels but no washcloths, even after after requested The breakfast was good & the service by Louis was even better.

The hotel was not in very good condition, Our floors was wet when we got there and stayed wet from the air condition. The beach path was a good little hike, when they made it seem like the hotel was near the beach.

Great location. Great price. We went during the off season. We'll go again next year however not around sept 16, I didn't expect that many tourist from mexico celebrating a mexican holiday in padre island but there were. On our last night in our room, the next two rooms to us were given to a big family from mexico and didn't get much sleep because their kids kept slamming the doors going from one room to the next.

VERY SATISIFY WITH OUR STAY AT HOTEL. BREAKFAST WAS GREAT WAFFLES HOT/COLD CEREAL JUICE- FRUIT. GREAT LOCATION!!! POOL WAS SMALL BUT THE OCEAN WAS AWESOME. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL. VERY HAPPY WITH SERVICE!!!

I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Travelodge on South Padre Island. The breakfast was excellent. The gentleman, Luis, made waffles every morning and was always polite and fast. The room was nice and the bathroom was a bit warm but was nothing terrible to endure. I enjoyed my overall stay and would book again.

My room is outdated , bathroom needs remodeling. The jacuzzi and swimming pool was oily and sandy. Not sure how often they clean it.

I recently stayed four days and three nights at this hotel. The accommodations were very good for the price. My room was very clean and the staff was always friendly. I especially enjoyed the private beach access. My only complaint would be that the pool was sandy. (But, I imagine that's difficult to avoid.) I would highly recommend Travelodge South Padre to friends and family.

The king bed was the most comfortable ever, and even a short walk to the beach..... however the AC unit had to be replaced 3 times, the shower deverted valved leaked so badly the shower only dribbled, the mineral build up on the bathroon faucet was gross, there was sand everywhere, there was no apperant exhaust fan working in the bathroom, the towels were very small, the bathroom light was intermitent, there was NO WiFi signal what so ever, except in the lobby, whoopie!Cars double parked behing my car making it extreamly hard to back out. The old TV was stuck on displaying text to everything that was said on TV, the wrong remote didn't allow me to exit the mode for this unwanted feature. But everyone was loud and having fun, so now you know what to expect. Other than all of this, South Padre was a rock'in blast!!! We'll be back soon, but not going to this bare bone hotel again. The help at the front desk however was extreamly gracious with their many apoliges.

It is nothing special. We had a room with king bed and jacuzzi. The whole thing is just a cheap (not really) motel and there are many like this one on SPI. It is just a place to sleep. No point to overpay - get whatever cheapest you can find and it won't be any/much worse than Travelodge. And always expect less for you money on SPI. Hotels and their staff are too spoiled with tourists in this popular location. If you really want a classy hotel, get ready for $300+ per night rate during the season. Otherwise, get the cheapest one.

Had a great weekend at this hotel. The price was great for the location, and rooms were comfortable and clean.
