For such an isolated place it would have been nice if breakfast was supplied,very good restaurant/bar next door

The hotel is pretty nice for its price and location. We went there during during the week of Christmas so it was the low season, only a few other cars parked outside. The hotel restaurant was closed in winter so you have to drive west about 10 miles to Groveland for dinning, and there are a few pizza and bar places there. The room was clean spacious, and the bed are comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly overall, although one night the hot water was out during shower and we called the front desk, and they basically couldn't do anything but told us to wait for the hot water to come back because it was running low. It was a bit odd considering a total of about 5 rooms were occupied that night. Not a huge deal but did caused some inconvenience. Overall it was a nice stay, about the closest and cheapest hotel we can find near Yosemite Valley, which is basically the only place you can get to without special snow equipments during winter.

Everything was great ! The only problem was finding a good place to eat nearby. The buck meadows restaurant next door is awful - one needs to drive to Groveland 10 miles away to find decent food.

We liked the hotel - it was a little dated but perfect for what we needed. Beds were comfy, rooms were clean, location was ideal for visiting Yosemite. Keep in mind there is no food for purchase at the hotel, and one of the only places to get something to eat is at the restaurant next door (opens at 8am, closes at 9pm, or earlier in the off season). Also, remember to bring your own conditioner, they do not supply it in the room.

We were here in November, and experienced that the restaurant closed at eight pm, even if it said 9pm in the reception. Next day, breakfast closed at 9pm! Open times were 7-9am and 6-8 pm, and it is far from nearest store.

Very good location nearby yosemite pare. and has nice resturant. But staffs were not friendly... I think other inn or hotel is better than this Inn

the welcome was a bit limp otherwise good place for yosemite stopover. Although ono of the nearest hotels to park,still a 15 mile drive to yosemite. Good choice of eateries wthin 5 mile radius

Excellent service and a great place to stay, only recommendation would be to update bedspreads. Rest of room was beautiful and updated but the bedspreads were very outdated.

I researched several hotels just outside of Yosemite and the other reviewers didn't steer me wrong. This was the least expensive hotel of the ones I researched, closest to the western entrance to the park, and our room had been recently remodeled. The inn keeper gave us a free upgrade to a Deluxe room as there were 3 of us. Two queen beds and a futon that slept a guy 6'2" and he said it was very comfortable. Mini-fridge and microwave, a new flat screen TV so we were able to watch the Dawgs barely get by Tennessee (probably added just a little to the enjoyment of our stay). A great little restaurand and bar on the premises. The restaurant didn't open until 7:00am but when the lady saw us standing around out front she let us in and served us coffee until the kitchen was ready to take our orders. Gotta love it!

Close to yosemite park ,great hotel with eating place right there with good food!

Inn was OK in all aspects but expensive for what you get. The major drawback is that it is very isolated. the nearest town with good restaurants and bars is 11 miles away in Groveland. i would have stayed there if I had know in advance.

Perfect for visiting Yosemite. We had spent day in Yosemite enroute for San Francisco and this hotel is about 45 mins from Yosemite park entrance. Pool very refreshing after a days hiking. Would recommend for an overnight stay. Only hotel and restaurant next door in vicinity but that was all we needed. Restaurant served up good dinner and breakfast next morning.

Location was the best thing about the motel with easy access to the west gate into the park. Reminded me of places we might have stayed in about 10 years ago - dated but clean and comfortable. Internet went down as soon as we arrived and never recovered- inconvenient but not a huge deal since we were on vacation. We went into Groveland and got a Pizza from Two Guys (?) and ate it on the outside gazebo area of the motel. That was great! There was a decent pool area but didn't have time to try it out.

This is your closest and best choice for accommodations near the west gate entrance to Yosemite. The rooms were clean, each room had a fridge and the beds were pretty comfortable. There was laundry facilities onsite also. The pool was heat and the hot tub was inviting. Perfect place to stay close to the park. Not too many dining options within a 12 mile radius, but Buck Meadows Restaurant right next door within walking distance had great food for a reasonable price. Perfect place to unwind after a day of hiking in Yosemite. Would go back again.

Rooms were dark, beds cheap and hard. Expensive with no facilities save a few vending machines. Only local eatery quite awful.

One two separate occasions a worker knocked on the door, then when I answered he walked off and didn't say anything. This was weird and unexplained. The restaurant nearby was good.

The hotel works when nothing else is available in the area--which is the case if you can't find accomodations in Yosemite park. Most of the hiking action is on the far side of the park and it takes an hour minimally to get there from this location. The only restaurant in the area is lsow, overpriced and the food is average. There is a nice outdoor pool; the rooms are okay but not spacious by any means.

Our group spent five days at the inn and overall it was a good experience. The hotel was renovated recently so the room had new paint, fixtures, and furnishings. Check in was quick and the front desk offered sight seeing suggestions for the area. Each day back from visiting the park our room was made up and cleaned. Most visitors use the hotel for overnight stays, but it was also a good value for our extended stay.

It was a convenient location for our stay, and the staff is courteous.

This place rocks, it has a wonderful view, great staff, very clean newly furnished rooms with everything you could need. Great swimming pool and hot tub, nestled in the trees. Store and dinning next door. Would highly recommend.

The motel offers clean and comfortable accomodation with good access to Yosemite west gate. The diner next door provided good value dinner and breakfast. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others

Good value if not staying in park. Updated and clean. A little bit of a drive to get to the park, but not many options. Overall, I was very pleased with the hotel.

I really liked this place. This is 12miles away from park gate and in a nice calm & greenery around it with a pool and hot tub. Rooms are clean with daily maintenance. No issues at all for us. If you are not staying inside the park, this is a nice convenient place to stay. Overall, it would take 45min from this location to go to Curry village. Also, this is certainly closer than staying in Mariposa, Wawona.

Lovely motel in a wonderful, quiet location, and only a 40 min drive from Yosemite. The check in staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was large, clean and well-equipped. Next door is a great little restaurant where we ate dinner and breakfast. The staff there were also super friendly, and service was fast. We will most definitely stay here when we next visit the area.

The hotel, more like a motel, is about 30 minute drive to the Park gate and another 15 minute drive to Yosemite Valley. The room is somewhat clean; however, we did ask for the staff to change out the sheets that have yellow stains. We started with just one soap and shampoo for three people. When asked for more, the management seemed reluctant to give out more than one. There is no breakfast, but there is a restaurant next to the hotel. The restaurant did get very busy on the weekend when we were there because there was a dirt bike group gathering. The wait was about an hour and they ran out of food. Next time, I would book early and stay inside the Park.

I was very unsatisfied with the wi-fi availability. We never received the wake-up call we requested.

Great hotel, helpful staff. Good location. No breakfast. The amount stated on the website did not include the tax, we had to pay extra. Total amount should be stated.

Less than one hour from hotel to Yosemite valley. Nice little fridge and microwave. Even though the room was not ready yet when we arrived, Sharad the manager let us leave some perishables in the fridge behind reception while we went off to the park. Would definitely stay here again.

This motel was very clean and roomy. Beds were comfortable and rooms have hair dryers, flat screen tv's, microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator and the location is very close to the entrance of Yosemite NP. The managers were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.
