Novotel Glasgow Centre - غلاسغو

I decided to book a room for two nights at Novotel Glasgow because they had a fitness center. When I arrived I discovered that the fitness center was "temporarily closed" and the condition of my room was horrible. The carpet was old and stained, the furniture in the room looked cheaper than IKEA furniture and the bed was basically a futon mattress thrown on an extremely low bedframe. I will not be staying at this hotel again.

We picked this hotel to be close to theatres and shops also for parking. We where delighted in every way. First class will stay again. Also very quite nights sleep thank you.

The hotel was in a great location as far as being in the city centre of Glasgow. Room was basic but comfortable enough - although cleanliness of toilet floor was not great. However, attitude receieved from reception staff during the night left alot to be desired - will definately not be staying at this hotel again.

My room at the Novotel was large and comtemporary... It was a great location for me ( I was visiting friends in the West end but wanted to be very close to the city centre as well) My only problem was the internet... the charges for WI-FI were outrageous and I wasted tons of cash on it- most other places provide a free connection... its 2012 people! I usually think Novotel is geared toward business travelers so not having internet in the rooms was kinda crazy to me...yes there are 2 comps in the lobby but children were always playing on them (maybe im a jaded new yorker but why are kids allowed to run wild in this kind of setting?) and if that wasnt the case they were out of service. This might not seem like a big deal to some, but if you are a career orientated person who's employer doesn't foot the bill for excess expenses- I would look to stay elsewhere... oh and the food is awful.

Modern looking hotel in close proximity to a busy part of Glasgow. Staff appeaeared to be friendly and helpful. The rooms are small and the showroom/bathroom looks nice but poorly designed. Try the shower and see where the water ens up...........Gym/sauna/steam room facilities are good. The hotel's car park is small with a limited number of car parking spaces, charged at £7 an exit.

Booked the hotel for my mum as a place to stay after a show in Glasgow. In her words, "the staff were very friendly, couldn't do enough, young and enthusiastic. Catered for her every need. Dinner in hotel was excellent and she had one of the best sleep's she had in years in the comfortable beds" I guess she will be happy to go back:) from a practical point it is pretty central, close to theatres and shops, ideal for a short city break. Easy to get to by car or public transport

Having stayed at the Novotel in Ypres at Easter the children were expecting the same Hot Chocolate for breakfast that they had loved in Belgium. They were really disappointed when they did not find a Hot Chocolate machine at the breakfast buffet and its absence threatened to destroy the whole trip! I asked a memeber of staff for Hot Chocolate however and she promptly fetched two pots of it. The situation was saved and Novotel maintained its reputation for excellent and friendly service!

Not worth the money. Premier Inn or Travelodge could do much better. Room was hot and stuffy, was told air con was busted will send out an engineer. This never happened. Advert described as climate control, with coffee maker etc none of this is true.

This hotel has a European feel to it and is in a good location for activities in Sauchiehall Street. Hotel is clean and has underground car park at £7.00/night. Easy access off motorways, I will stay here again, even though quite expensive against other hotels in area.

Used this hotel for two nights and found it to be very comfortable and convienient to city centre. Room was very clean, nicely appointed with contemporary furnishings and fittings, en suite was very nice with an excellent shower. We did not eat in the hotel although menu looked quite good and reasonably priced, breakfast however, was extra and quite pricey I thought so we had breakfast out as well. Parking was a bit of a pain with only 19 parking spaces at the hotel, and a charge each time you leave the car park! Discounted parking was available in a multi storey car park a couple of blocks away however we found out that the discount only applies if you park for a full 24hr period. All in all a very nice hotel that we would use again but we would leave the car at home next time.

The staff was so helpful, and we were able to see lots by walking during our short stay in Glasgow. We would have liked a safe in the room and better lighting. The restaurant breakfast buffet was overpriced, but good. The quality of dinner before our tour began was very poor.

Hotel is clean and tidy - plenty of places to eat in the surrounding areas, which is just as well as the charge for breakfast was really excessive, so it's cheaper to eat it elsewhere! (The Turkish restaurant across the road has some lovely food too.) Also, beware if you're driving - the hotel's car park only has about 5 spaces, so I'd really recommend that you reserve your parking space with the hotel prior to your stay, or else you could end up at the more expensive NCP down the road. Overall, really pleased with the hotel though - quiet and clean and very central.

Used hotel to attend a nearby function. Very clean and business like. Friendly staff. Impressed with great value for money. Should have booked breakfast as part of deal to get an even better deal.

This is a good, clean hotel and very centrally located for shopping, entertainment etc. Room was very pleasant - bed comfortable but could have provided better pillows. The downside was we were allocated Room 533 which is just opposite the air conditioning units for Strathclyde Police Station - not something you want to hear in the middle of the night. At breakfast you are served bacon almost raw and even with several people asking for it to be better cooked it still came back the same. Would go back for its location but not to Room 533.

Very nice hotel in a good area. Large buffet breakfast is provided. Staff very helpful and convenient to restaurants and buses. A few drawbacks: the tub/shower would be difficult to navigate for anyone with mobility problems- the sides are very high. Wireless internet access from the room is quite pricey, and the hotel had only one functioning lobby computer (at a cost of £1 for 20 minutes.

Et dejligt hotel, centralt placeret i Glasgow. Tæt på shopping, seværdigheder og restaurenter. Personalet er venligt, hjælpsomt og imødekommende. Der er sikker parkering i kælderen. Et dejligt hotel i pæn stand.

Vi var mer än nöjda med vår hotellvistelse. Ett stort rum, skön säng och ett rent och fräscht badrum. God, mättande frukost, ett trevligt bemötande och centralt läge.
