The Sleep Inn in West Ashley provides you with adequate accomadations. The location is close enough to peninsular Charleston that make it a very easy drive. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Hotel was close to the historical district and shopping areas. Enjoyed the breakfast. Courteous hotel staff. Was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room (noticeable dust on furniture). Toilet had not been cleaned. Had to request disinfectant to clean the toilet. Experienced a clogged toilet one day of my stay.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Room could have been a little bigger. Breakfast in the morning was very nice and had a good variety of food. Pool is shared with another motel but this was no problem. Staff was helpful and friendly. You do have to drive a little to get to attractions but all trips are in the 5 to 7 mile range. It really helps if you have a GPS. Food in Charleston is excellent.

Loved it .. Perfect ! :) Hotel Front Desk Staff were just lovely .. We arrived at midnight and our keys were already printed - all we had to do was sign and SLEEP :) Thanks for making our trip great!

This is a nice hotel that is reasonably priced. The only downside to staying here is that there is virtually nothing near by. We walked close to a mile to find places to eat. We did find an awesome pizza place to eat at. If you are going on a cruise, the hotel does offer taxi service to the port for a reasonable charge per person. Considering the cost of taxis in Charleston, this was a good deal.

This hotel was in a convenient location for me, and was easy to find. My room was perfectly comfortable and spic and span. In the morning they have a buffet breakfast which I found totally fine. The staff is helpful and courteous. Quite a few of my fellow guests seemed to be going on cruises, so it must be convenient to Charleston's cruise ship port

They did not guarantee my room selection

The hotel was just what I needed. It was clean. The bed was comfortable. I wish the free breakfast had meat. :) It was a typical Continental Breakfast. An IHOP was nearby for those wanting more.

Clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast offered. Friendly staff.

My husband and I stayed overnight and we were pleasantly surprised. I would stay there again.

We have always stayed in this hotel for about 6 years. The only issue I had on this trip was that they were remodeling. The hallways were covered in dust, carpet being replaced, ice machines missing. I wished that we were warned before booking. I know the place will look good and appreciate that they are remodeling but over the Christmas Holidays was a bad time to do this.

This Sleep Inn is currently under renovations works. However, they are really trying to make it as silent as possible. The rooms are decent, pretty much what you are paying for at this rate. Location is OK. Like most places in West Ashley, it takes you about 15 minutes to reach downtown (where there are plenty of space to park your car) and another 10 minutes to reach the Tanger Outlets. Breakfast is simple. I've seen better ones in same quality hotels but it is still good. Now, the hotel personnel is really good. Like most people in Charleston, they are willing to do everything to make your stay pleasant. I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel was very clean. Front desk personnel were very friendly and helpful. Very satisfactory continental breakfast.

Hotels.com had a great rate for December 2011 at Sleep Inn - Charleston. Desk clerk was very nice and we quickly went upstairs to our room. Non-smoking hotel but our room smelled of smoke. Apparently, housekeeping also knew there was a problem because we noticed a machine on the dresser that appeared to be some type of air cleaner. Called downstairs and same nice lady told us to come get another room. She again apologized and quickly gave us key cards for different room. It was fresher, but heater was a bit dusty when we first turned it on. That only lasted a few minutes and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was muffins, cereal, waffles, etc. Friendly & efficient staff made things right without delay or trying to make excuses. Would stay again.

Close to Island to see Festival of Lights. Good rate, and clean for overnight stay. Breakfast was great as well for on the go vistors.

I'd say this is more suited to the business traveler -toilet and stand in shower in one area, sink in another, Wifi connection, desk for one person (no table) and conveniently located. But it was fine for a night of leisure for my Husband and I. Carpet could use cleaning and they would keep up with similar hotels by upgrading to flat panel tv's... Nice enough overall.

The hotel was very clean, but the only negative thing that I have to say is that I didn't like the bathroom situation. The shower and toliet were in 1 small and I mean small room and the sink was outside the bathroom and there was a bed right next to it all. No privacy at all! It would be good for 1 person but not when you have 2 who are just friends. No place to get dressed or undressed except where the shower and toliet are because there was no other place to do this without someone else there. It was an uncomfortable feeling. Besides that the stay was nice, the bed was comfortable and the a/c worked great!

The staff was super nice and all that. The maid came back and cleaned our room later after we left, which was nice. My problems with this hotel were structural. We have two very small children and neither could get bathed because the hotel only had showers!!!! Try and get a 3 year old to take a shower. HA! We had to sponge bathe our family while staying here. NOT cool. The other problem was the paper thin walls and floors. We were not in our room 20 minutes before we had the front desk calling us saying they were getting complaints. We are a big family, but we were trying to be quiet. The next night a family checked in the room above ours. I could hear EVERYTHING! ALL NIGHT! It was so loud I could hear their every step, pee, flush, and walk back to bed. YIKES!

I planned this trip to Charleston as a surprise for my daughter. It was a last minute decision on my part so wasn't sure about the location or quality of the rooms. We received a warm welcome and went up to our room. The room had a strange smell, but after we turned the air conditioner on it was O.K. However, the dust ruffle on one of the beds had a large, ugly stain on it and it was spotted with what looked like mildew. There happened to be a maid in the hall and she removed the dust ruffle at my request and with my help. Otherwise, the room was clean. The next morning I reported the stains to the desk clerk and she was very apologetic. My daughter and I were very impressed with the breakfast room and the food that was offered. The lady who kept the food items filled worked hard to keep the area spotless and was was very friendly I have no complaints about the staff or the hotel in general. The location was close to the historic district and if you have a GPS you will be fine. If you do not, the hotel staff has several pages of printed directions to the most popular attractions, restaurants,etc. We would stay there again,.

Even though we were only there for one night, the stay was very enjoyable. The front desk was very helpful. We will stay again.

The hotel was a good value in my opinion. I went with my wife and toddler and the hotel was pretty good. A few issues we had were as follows: - The room was a little small. Not a big deal unless you need a crib (which we did) at which point it gets hard to move around (note that we had two double beds - if you get a single king size bed this might be different). - The sheets the last night we were there had a stain on them. It had obviously been laundered but the stain remained. IMO the sheets should have been disposed of but it was on the edge. - The bathroom had no tub - just a shower. This is an issue with small children but we were able to work around it. - The location isn't the best for vacationers but isn't bad either. It is pretty close to downtown and the beach (but you have to drive). Savannah Highway is a little busy so getting out in the morning can take a few minutes. - Several cable TV channels didn't work (no big deal to me since I don't go on vacation to watch TV). I never said anything about it so hard to fault them for this. On the plus side: - Good continental breakfast - Staff could not have been any friendlier. Someone posted that the lady working the front counter belongs at a 5-star hotel. I would have to agree. - I had to stay an extra night due to a mistake on my part. Had no issue booking the room for an extra night. - We did not request the crib when we reserved the room. The staff got it assembled and in the room within 10 minutes of us getting up there. - Other than the sheets the room was fairly clean. Overall you get what you pay for. it was a good hotel and a very good value.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. The room was big enough and clean. The pool is shared with Best Western and sometimes it gets too crowded, but otherwise was a nice size and very clean. Hotel has convenient location to restaurants and shopping. Breakfast was good, but no hot breakfast if you expect that. There was always somebody keeping an eye and refill the items that go faster which was very nice.

I will pay the extra 40 dollars to stay at my regular hotel. I booked it because it was cheap. I will not stay there again. this hotel seriously need upgrading carpet very dirty.

Me and my aunt traveled to Charleston for the first time in years, and this was the hotel that we booked before our arrival, we were very inpressed with the quality of our room and the breakfast, not to mention the location. We plan to travel again with our family and this is where we are going to stay.

Upon arriving and checking into my room I found the Air Conditioner not working properly. The staff was very accomdating, getting me transfered into another room. The employee in charge of continential breakfast was very efficient and helpful to all. If I had to say anything negitive the comment would be to clean all baseboards in the room, behind the furniture on a more frequent schedule. Yes, I would stay here again and tell others of the "Southern Hospitality" in Charleston.

The hotel is in a great location. The staff is very friendly. It was a very clean room, free wi-fi, continental breakfast, all outisde doors (even the main door) are locked at night where you can only access building by room key. I felt very safe. The only thing I had a problem with was the beds. If you like firm beds you will love the beds. I prefer soft beds and to me they were not soft. That is just a personal preference. I was very impressed with the fluffy soft pillows. The pillows were very comfortable and made the beds manageable for me to sleep in. I highly recommend this hotel. The location is near the historic area, cruise terminals (6-8 miles), hospitals, and close to I-526 too. I would stay there again.

Clean facility w/ typical free breakfast option. Room was up to date, with nice walkin shower. If you are just looking for a place to relax and sleep at night, I would stay here again. Plenty of attractions near by, including foos and shopping.

Very pleased with our stay at Sleep Inn in Charleston SC. Room very clean, service great and breakfast coffee & food was better than most restaurants. Very close to place where we went water siking. Room has plenty of space for our skis and other items.

We stayed at the sleep inn to attend a wedding in downtown Charleston. I had previously lived in Charleston so I was familiar with West Ashley. I was impressed wtih the cleanliness of the hotel for the price we paid. It was a 10 minute drive to the bridge to take us into downtown and found it convient to get around Charleston. Would recommend and stay at again.

Great location at a great price for a quick trip to Charleston. Easy Access to downtown and to surrounding areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Only flaw was the pillows.

We have stayed in several Sleep Inns in other states, so knew what to expect. This was one of the nicest Sleep Inns we have stayed in - very clean and nicely decorated. Conveniently located just a few miles from historic Charleston area and beaches.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall property was pretty well-kept and comfortable. Occupants of one of our rooms were plagued with bug bites--not sure if bed was the culprit but were glad to not be staying long. Not a downtown location, but pretty convenient for getting to sightseeing locales in Charleston.

We stay at Sleep Inns whenever we can find them in our travels. The Sleep Inn in Charleston, was located very close too everything that we wanted to do and it was easy to get too. We enjoy the Sleep Inns as the personnel are always very friendly and helpful and the staff goes out of its way to be helpful with directions etc. The breakfast is always very good and a good variety and always kept very neat and clean. We highly recommend this Sleep Inn or any that we have ever stayed at.

The bathrooms are extremely small; the bathroom itself consists only of the toilet and shower. Fortunately, the shower extends past the width of the bathroom itself, so that it extends into the bedroom. The sink is outside of the bathroom. Breakfast was standard complimentary breakfast fare. There were lots of the prepackaged pastries, toast, bagels and english muffins, as well as oatmeal, yogurt, and cereal. The apples appeared to be rotten, although the bananas were fresh. There were also waffle machines available, always a plus for breakfasts. The room was not the nicest I've ever stayed in; the linens seemed slightly worn, as if they've been washed a few too many times. But the room was clean. This was just what we needed for a one night stay. The hotel is only a 5-10 minute drive from downtown Charleston, making the location extremely convenient; my impression was that we had the perks of some of the hotels that were closer downtown without the higher price.

The room was beautiful. I loved the shower! The bed was very comforable, and I had a very good night's sleep. The front desk employees were very helpful, and courteous. The room was very clean.

Half the price of staying downtown and it was a very nice motel. It was a short 5-10 minute drive to downtown and also close to Folly Beach.
