GREAT HIGHWAY INN - سان فرانسيسكو

Not at all a nice place to stay and very expensive for the condition - dingy and rundown.

There was nothing wrong to report about the room, and the service was fine. The office staff were quite helpful with our questions about the area and access to transportation. Great place from which to launch onto the beach or into Golden Gate Park. Good breakfast & lunch place nearby.

I was freshly painted room. Quite comfortable. Our only complaint was that there wasn't a clock radio or coffee pot.

Room was clean but run down - bring your own hairdryer. The tub didn't plug to take a bath (I used a wash cloth to plug it.) The beds were comfortable and we really liked the location with the ocean across the street one way and Golden Gate Park just across another street. A good basic motel. Would stay again.

The location of the motel was fantastic. Close to the beach, GG Park, the Zoo and The Chalet. The fridge came in handy and the room had a microwave, but there was no coffee maker. We had to walk around the corner to the convenience store which wasn't bad, but there were a lot of homeless people around, making the walk a little unconfortable. The beds were comfortable and check in was easy, the clerk was friendly :) Parking was a small lot right on the street, but the room was quiet. I would stay here again for an over nighter, but not for an extended stay.

It is across the street from the ocean. Ask for third floor to get a view. Noisy traffic Friday night. There aren't many hotels in the neighborhood

Dreadful....except for the location across from the beach it has nothing to offer....drab room with beatup furniture - no coffee maker - nothing in the way of anything you might want - not even a scrap of paper. Looks like it may have been nice at one time but it needs help all the way around. And the price does not match up to the quality of the room or services. Except for a ho-hum Thai restaurant next store and a convenience store, absolutely nothing else nearby. Would not choose this one again.

Booked this motel because it was all that was left near San Francisco State on move in day for our daughter. It was ok, nothing special the room served it's purpose. The mildew smell was a little over powering though.

Good points: (1) interesting adjacent Thai restaurant (2) close to beach. GG Park (3) no extra charge for a long distance call Bad point: Very poor (useless) wireless internet connection in rooms 209, 210. The router transmitter power is woefully inadequate for the dimensions of the motel. This could be remedied by seeking professional help

We were at the Great Highway Inn for just one night and it was fantastic. The rooms are large and very clean. The front desk folks are very friendly. I will make this a San Francisco place to stay. Thank You!
