My husband and I stayed here for a "getaway" weekend. The staff were very nice and helpful. The rooms were nice(not spectacular) but nice. They location was great. A quick walk to Union Square, close to good restaurants, and the cable cars. The only negative is that our room was next to the service elevator and the door was closing (slamming) every 30 seconds in the morning (our only chance to sleep in!!). Very annoying. Request a room away from both the elevator and service elevator! Besides this, everything else was great!

The staff at the hotels was very helpful, informative, and accommodating. The hotel was located in the financial district. Travelled with children. Very good food choices within walking distance. Within very short walking distance to Ferry Building, China Town, and Union Square. The Omni was a great find and we will definitely stay here again.

Omni was the best value by far in the San Francisco area. Friendly staff

We stayed at the Omni in late May/early June, we had two double bed rooms for the weekend. The quality of our stay exceeded expectations. Rates were comparable to other hotels in the area but the room quality and service were superior. From check-in, with a friendly welcome at the door and an excellent team at the desk, and throughout our stay the staff was extremely courteous and accomodating. We really appreciated the location of the hotel. It was a cable car ride away from San Francisco's best times, but it was also removed just enough from some of the busier and more congested areas of the city. In one short walk, we walked through Chinatown, visited The Beat Museum, had lunch in North Beach (Little Italy), then jumped the F train to Fisherman's Wharf. Located at the bottom of Nob Hill, photo opportunities are endless. We value reader reviews for information and highly recommend this hotel for its quality and location. We rated room maintenance a four, only because the city cut the water supply one night, but the hotel compensated all guests with free breakfast the following morning. Leave your heart in SF, leave your bags at the Omni.

Firstly the good - great location. Great service. As a guest you have to sign up for their club membership to reap the benefits of morning coffee to your door and free internet. Its a small pain but ultimately worth it and to get coffee dropped to your door is lovely. The bad - the scrounging for money. In the bathroom they leave you 2 bottles of water but they cost 7 dollars 50 to drink. They should be in the minibar not the bathroom. They are clearly marked so we didnt get caught out but its stingy to do that. Also we got dinged on the bill because one receptionist told us we can have 2 drinks per guest in the morning delivered to the room so we had 2 each. TUrns out it was only 1 when the bill came. not a big deal but for such an expensive hotel to be trying to bleed every dollar, its a little cheeky.Overall though I loved the place and would definitely come back. Very definitely.

Excellent location, near all mass transit and sights, would stay there again.

The staff are friendly an the rooms are comfy and very clean.We walked to Pier 39, Lombard Street, Chinatown, from here......it was fine for us- cab home from Pier 39 after a few Hard Rock Cafe cocktails was about $12. Used the Bart on Montgomery Sreet (a 4 block walk) to go to the airport, only costs $8.25 each and takes approximately half an hour- very convenient. Take the Big Red Bus Tour- see everything and hear the stories, in comfort! Alcatraz is great but book before you go to SF- the trips were fully booked for days when we were there, we had pre- booked, and it really is a great trip.

Pleasantly surprised - all staff from doormen, desk clerk, concierge, bellman were efficient, courteous , helpful and friendly Good location rooms more than adequate but could be larger = only negative towels were poor Would definitely stay again Visit San Francisco regularly and will give serious consideration to this hotel Good Find

Great hotel. Located near China Town and Union Square; on a cable car line. Extremely nice staff. Very accommodating, helpful and pleasant. Kids got cookies and milk in the room each night. Maids wrote little notes welcoming you back to your room in the evening. It was a very pleasant experience.

The hotel is in a great location in the Financial District, not too much of a walk away from Union Square, down to the Harbour and right next to Chinatown. It is a lovely old building that has been really well maintained. Some nice personal touches and the service set this apart. Signature rooms well appointed with everything you need for a great stay.

Breakfast in our room fast and very courteous and hotel clerk extremely helpful with our reservation at "Bob's" by suggesting we allow him to set up a quiet booth for dinner the evening of checkin.

The hotel was in a great location for us. Close to many cable/street cars and walking distance to the Ferry Market. The rooms were very clean and had one of the most comfortable beds i have ever slept in. The noon check out time was also a plus. I would definitley stay here again!

A most enjoyable stay for my entire family with easy access to great restaurants, the world famous cable cars of SF and the feel of this beautiful city.

The staff at the hotel were amazing. A++ in customer service. Will definitely stay there again!

Stayed at Omni for Bay to Breakers. Great location in Financial District. Jog to race start. Walk to Union Square, Chinatown, North Breach. Excellent service and facilities. Very clean. Sign up for Omni Premier (free online) on arrival. Get perks like free wifi. Will stay again if in area.

Good location for business, great service. Limited selection of tv channels an hbo was fuzzy for two nights we were there which was a shame. But the service was impeccable. I would definitely come back!

Finally, a hotel in SF that is quiet! We have pretty much tried them all and for the first time we slept all night in their extremely comfortable beds without the sound of street noise and sirens waking us during the night.Good location to the Ferry Building and Union Square.

We stayed at Omni for 4 nights. The staff was excellent. They were very courteous and responsive to our request. Hotel location is also very good for accessing financial district, key shopping areas and tourist destinations.

Clean and well-kept hotel. Spacious rooms with gorgeous bathrooms.

A nice hotel that is in a good location for downtown San Francisco.check in staff are helpful and there are plenty of bell hops porters doormen valet Parker's all willing to help and all expecting a tip. The rooms are clean and well appointed on the whole everything one would expect from an Omni The downside,$7.50 for a bottle of water plus tax and restocking fee from the mini bar seems just a little steep,$400 plus for a room,throw in some water it won't kill your bottom line. The wifi connection is $15.00 and I don't mind paying it but I do mind that you can connect without any promt telling you there will be a charge. A good hotel and I recommend it but the petty charges ruined the experience,add twenty bucks to the room charge and let people have a bottle of water for free.

Great Hotel! This was for our stay in SF when i proposed to my GF! it was great! Awesome service (free champagne & roses) and everyone was so happy to help us!

It's a shame that a hotel as nice and beautiful as this has an unorganized and rude maintenance staff. I was disturbed three time in the course of my one-night stay. The first time I was napping and a staff member had to come restock the minibar. The second time I was showering (well before the check out window) and housekeeping barged in. The third time I was getting dressed - again, well before the check out window - and housekeeping came in AGAIN. I will never stay here again.

It's tough to beat the Omni if you're looking to stay somewhere in the middle of San Francisco. The rooms are great, the staff is great, the location is great. HIghly recommended.

Greeted with champagne was very nice!

We loved the Hotel Omni. The highlights were the staff, who were friendly, helpful, and always available. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We were there for 6 nights, and when any provision was getting low (e.g., toilet paper, shampoo, etc) it was always replenished before it ran out. Our bed was turned down every night, and a chocolate left for each of us, The only minor complaint we had about the room was that the space around the toilet was limiting. The Omni is on one of the cable car routes and so transportation was very easy and fun. There are a lot of good restaurants in the area, including Bob's Steak and Chop House which is in the hotel. The staff on the front desk helped us print tickets and mail postcards. And the staff at the door were always very welcoming and helpful in giving directions or obtaining a taxi. We highly recommend the Omni hotel in San Francisco.

Had a wonderful time staying at the Omni. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. We've stayed at other 4.5 star hotels but Omni was different and took care of the little details. Worth the money you paid for. Convenient location and in a quieter part of the city.
