Cerulean Tower Tokyu Hotel - طوكيو

I was actually a little disappointed with this hotel. Of course it is well located and luxurious but for the price, it should be exceptional and without any bad points. First I was looking forward to the view but the front view towards Shinjuku seems reserved for the most expensive rates. For the quite high rates, I was also disappointed with the hard bed (having been in China for many months, I know this is normal overthere, but in luxurious hotels in Japan, usually the beds are very confortable). Despite some reviews I had rate, the view from the Cerulean tower (except if among the really lucky few) are not as great as from the Mitsui Garden in Ginza or the Park Hotel

Hotel is modern,large rooms for Japan,and walking close to Shibuya subway station.Is overpriced and there is no ambience to the immediate area.However convenient to the shopping and bustle of Shibuya.Staff are very helpful.

After doing a lot I research on where to stay in Tokyo, I found so many good ratings on the Cerulean. It is close to the metro and is a great base location to see the rest of the city.

We stayed at this business hotel for a leisure trip to Tokyo. It is conveniently located in Shibuya, next to Shibuya Station, so you can take the Narita Express all the way into Shibuya Station and then walk to the hotel if you wish. The hotel itself is comfortable and well maintained. We opted for one of the up-graded rooms with a king bed, which had a lovely view over tokyo. The reason why I gave this hotel a 4* and not a 5* was because of the lack of certain amenities as well as the inability of the staff to give accurate directions. There is no complimentary WI-FI for hotel guests, even in the lobby / reception areas. This is also the first hotel I ever stayed in that does not provide complimentary tea/coffee in the rooms. It is available, but please do be aware that a teabag is chraged at about 400 yen / US$ 5. The biggest let down for us was the inability for the staff to provide accurate directions to restaurants etc. The address system in Tokyo is notoriously difficult so we can understand small inaccuracies. However, they were not able to accurately direct us to the New South Entrance of the Shibuya Station, which is about 200m from the hotel. This entrance is provides direct access to the plate-form for the Narita Express train. They conveniently omited to tell us that this entrance exist, instead tried to send us on a round-about route through the main station. When asked about this entrance, they recommended that we take a 5 min US$10 taxi ride to the station. Anyway, we did not hve much luggage, so we took a chance and seached for the entrance ourselves. For those interested, you go up the staires just as you pass under the train tracks straight up from the hotel, and it is 50m down the road there. It is incomprehensible that the hotel is not able to provide directions for such an easy route to a station that I am sure 80% of their hotel guests would use. Pleasant Check-in. Requested a softer mattress and was provided by housekeeping promptly. Room quite comfortable and we had a city view room. Very convenient to convenient stores and many restaurants close by. Airport Limosine Bus takes you straight to the hotel in 90 mins.

Great location, but moreover, great hospitality. Concierge and guest relations are friendly and helpful. Each staff is attentive. We had a great time here.

Nice Hotel in Shibuya Area can view Tokyo night view very romanic.

Stayed on 33rd floor over Christmas. Satff were friendly and comprehensive with service. Exectutive lounge offers spectacular views, great ambience for cocktails and amazing breakfast. Location is central with easy access to subway, sites and lots of nightlife. Highly recommend the Cerulean!

First time I have stayed at Cerulean Tower Hotal in Shibuya. I did not expect so much in Shibuya area but it was very nice hotel more than my expectations and quite convienient to go anywhere. Japanese breakfast was a bit dull than any other hotels such as Okura, Mandarin Oriental. I would like to stay my next trip to Tokyo in 2012.

A very nice and conveinient hotel in the middle of Tokyo. Many places to eat and shop, although, if you dont' like the crowded streets and lots of people, won't recommend this area and hotel. Since the energy saving in Japan, there was no heating in the bathroom... would have been nice if there were.. Overall, a very nice place.

Loved this hotel, very comfortable, great view and great location. Highly recommend staying in Shibuya. First day, was surprised with a plate of fresh fruit and was also provided complimentary chocolates halfway through 7 day stay. Staff was also very helpful in providing information on airport limo times - this is also a reason I chose this location. Airport limo to both Haneda/Narita stops right outside, very convenient.

i would totally stay hear again great location

I highly recommend this hotel, if wireless it's free plus breakfast, it would be perfect

I come to Tokyo quite often on business, and have had an opportunity to stay at several hotels. The Cerulean Tower is my consistent favorite. The staff are always friendly and helpful, it is very close to the Shibuya subway station, and I really look forward to the wonderful breakfast buffet.

Stayed with 2 kids age 1 and 3. Provided cot free of charge, room was spacious. We had the panoramic bath with amazing views which I definately recommend. In tokyo stayed here and Century Southern Tower and have to say this is one notch up in luxury ( but to be fair also in price!). Used limousine bus to airport which was convenient with all the luggage. Conceirge were helpful in locating a very specific park in Nerima. Everyone was very helpful and professional. Only downpoint is breakfast and room service seemed extremely expensive but this is partly to do with the yen at the moment. There is a lot of stairs and walkways in the area but there is often a lift if you have a buggy like we did if you are willing to walk a bit. Lots of shops nearby but on expensive side.

We are a family of five (5y, 2y, 6m kids) and had a big nice twin room + a crib for 8 nights. The place was amazing for us and a big size room for Japan standards. The view from the room was amazing, looking over Shibuya from the high floor. Location was convenient, 5 min walk to Shibuya (Hachiko crossing) 7/11 just in the floor levels and overall a nice neighbourhood. We will definitely be back.

I will stay here everytime I am in Tokyo

Great place to stay! extremely nice and professional staff. If you can, get the tower or executive room on 35th floor, which allows access to the lounge - it's well worth it! Perfect location in Tokyo> I will come back to Cerulean for sure.

Great hotel, with a very good service and a very convenient location; however, I was very disappointed with a lack of wireless internet in the hotel and the extreme charge of about almost $30/day for the use of a less than adequate and very small fitness room!

Location just 10 minute walk to Shibuya station, very clean and comfortable but no wireless in rooms. Hotel restaurants met expectations for a hotel of this caliber. Staff friendly and professional.

Called to have something brought to my room three times, each time they arrived within 10 mins. Very helpful without being overbearing. Everyone was able to speak English and was very friendly. Wonderful views. Used the porters and info desk several times, always helpful. I think this would be a great place for anyone, business or pleasure.

Very comfortable. Short walk to a major train/metro station (Shibuya). Very accommodating to travelers. And when you can find a good deal, it's just icing on the cake.

Hotel is over rated. Unfriendly management. Old gym facility costs over $20 USD for a day’s access. For business travelers location is hard to access during rush hours, lots of traffic, and lots of delay.

Compared to other high end hotels in the surrounding area the Cerulean Tower offered a fantastic experience during my stay in Tokyo. Staff was freindly and courteous and prices are quite reasonble. There is also a direct shuttle service to and from Narita airport for a small fee. This makes travel much easier if you have more than one carry on. I am looking forward to staying here again when I return to Tokyo this August.

The Cerulean Tower was our splurge hotel during our trip to Japan and it was worth every dollar! It is a stunning hotel with a fabulous location near the Shibuya train station. The view from our room on the 25th floor was spectacular! We had a huge room, even by western standards with a large and luxurious bathroom. The bathroom even had a large picture window by the tub if you wanted to enjoy the view from the bath. The meals in many of the hotel's restaurants were pretty expensive, especially the restaurant on the 40th floor, but if you want to enjoy that view, just go up to the bar for a drink. There are many nice restaurants close to the hotel that are more reasonably priced. Another great thing about the hotel is that it offers bus service to both Haneda and Narita airports, which, when you're carrying luggage, is so much easier than taking the trains and then walking to/from the hotel. To arrange for transfer to the airport, you just book it at the concierge desk. If you are arriving into Tokyo at Haneda or Narita, you just go to the bus transportation desk and tell them you want to go to the Cerulean Tower Hotel in Shibuya. Tickets are reasonable (1000 yen from Haneda, 3000 yen from Narita per person) and they'll tell you where to catch the bus. It will take you directly to the hotel where porters are waiting to take your bags.

6 of us stayed here on business and it was a good experience with stunning views and heated toilet seats! Only reservation was the hotel policy of charging you a substantial sum to use the gym and the pool which as a result seemed empty .. Also no wireless set up so have to plug in which also costs extra. Breakfast was amazing but this was also charged as an extra and at £25 you might find yourself over-indulging to justify the expense. Otherwise a good experience and luckily escaped day before the major earthquake!!

Great hotel in great location with amazing views of the city and Mt Fuji on a clear day. Bar on the 40th FL is excellent. No complaints save for the fact that there is no wifi throughout the hotel (manager says they are trialing different providers currently so should happen in the near future), internet is NOT included in the room charge nor is access to the gym which is fairly pricey.

We booked the King Size Bed room and it was huge by Tokyo standards! Bed was comfy and bathroom was fabulously spacious and luxurious. Overall a great experience!

Will stay here again next time in Tokyo. NO Wi-Fi, sad. Only offer Wire.

Fantastic hotel, great service, lovely room, and a really good location with easy access to Shibuya Metro and train station, a 3 minute walk away. The staff were really helpful and from arrival to departure, I felt that everything was really well taken care of. I was recommended the hotel by my cousin and she was not wrong. It was my first time in Japan, so I was a little apprehensive, however, the hotel concierge had some great walking maps and was able to answer questions about side trips to Kamakura etc, which made things much easier. There was also a Japanese barbecue restaurant in a nearby tower that the concierge recommended and booked for us (booking is important), which is also definitely worth a visit. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The hotel is great and the breakfast buffet is the same price as the other hotel breakfast buffets (~$30) but is much better. You can ask the egg chef to prepare scrambled eggs well done to get fully cooked eggs. The one downfall was that they upgraded us to a great room on the 33rd floor with a view of Tokyo Tower. The failed to tell us though which led to an awkward moment with the front desk. After settling into the hotel, I read the Info Book and saw that the 33rd and above floors receive free internet. But when I got on the internet (about 3x) I had to agree to a 1050 charge (~$10.50) for a 24 hour period. I figured this was just a glitch but wanted to be sure. I went downstairs to ask about this charge and the front desk gentleman said that we were upgraded for the room but not the amenities. Another amenity was 50% off of the fitness center, which the bell person quoted us the 50% price, so basically this was a secret kept from all of us. Needless to say he reversed the internet charges but any future internet usage would be charged. That was weird, but the hotel is still awesome. The location is terrific, very close to the convenient Shibuya station. The concierge was very helpful as well.

I stayed at the Cerulian Tower in Shibuya in December 2006, and very much liked my stay. With only one night in Tokyo on this trip (October 2010), I wanted to revisit the hotel in anticipation of a later trip when I would be spending more time in Tokyo. My recent stay confirmed that the Cerulian Tower is an exceptionally nice hotel, and one I look forward to visiting again in the very near future.
