Olinda Rio Hotel - ريو دي جانيرو

Bang in the middle of Copacabana. Internet was included in the price and was reliable and fast, not always the case when it's free. Would definitely stay here again for both business or for a holiday.

Olinda Rio surpassed every expectation. The hotel is in a great location, the staff is friendly, the breakfast was great, and the rooms were very clean! I would definitely come back to stay at Olinda Rio!

I've stayed in many hotels in Rio and this is definitely the best. It's not old and run-down like most of the other 4-start hotels, our room (ocean view) was funished with neutral colors, linens carpets and drapes were new and everything was very clean. The breakfast buffet was basic but adequate. Reception staff were very helpful! We arrived at 7am and checkin isnt until 3pm. Christine checked our bags (with a claim ticket, not just thrown in a corner so anyone could walk out with them) and let us use the bathroom / lounge to change in to our beach clothes. She even offered us beach towels. I'd recomment booking the shuttle to the airport at 75BRL (2 persons) as a taxi from Copacabana to Galeão/ GIG could cost between 60 and 150 BRL even if you are brasilian and not a tourist (ask me how i know!?!) If you can get a good price, I'd definitely recommend staying here, but get a room on a high floor if you dont want to be woken up at 5:30am from the traffic. We were on the 6th floor and could hear it loud and clear!

This was my third consecutive trip to the Olinda Othon Classic in as many years. The very friendly staff and good breakfast spread make this place. The rooms were comfortable, although very plain with a rather dated decor (not exactly "classic"), and old, wood-frame windows that can use an update. However, if you are in rio for the beach, a great location, decent food and a comfy bed, then this is your place. Highly recommended!

good location. Wait staff a bit daff (didn't chill the white wine), but otherwise, no major gaffs. Rooms large and comfortable....shower curtains not good at keeping water in the shower.

Great location in Rio -beach front on Cobacobana beach. Hotel lobby is nice but the rooms could use some refurbishing.

Beware. A 'standard" room means "window faces a wall" and the in-room (non wireless) internet connection is an additional $22R and it does not say that on this site....

Hello. Long story short: This hotel is 'good', its right in the middle of the 'action', and, they provide good service. However, If you are looking for luxury- this is not your hotel. A staff member took us to our room, he opened the door and immediately we smelled urine. It was not overwhelming, but, enough to notice and for us to request another room. The second room had a ‘small’ urine smell, but, tolerable. The room itself was clean(apart from the urine smell), and comfortable. The air conditioner was good, not excellent. This hotel is right on Avenida Atlantica. If you are looking to be in the middle of the ‘action’, this is your place. You are close to everything. If you are looking to get a good nights sleep, sorry, this is not your hotel(in fact, your in the wrong city). If you can, try to get a room in the upper floors so that the noise from Avenida Atlantica does not reach your room. If you do this, you will be just fine. Other stuff: Hotel staff was great. Breakfast was great. Location was great. Room itself was good. Overall, i would recomend this hotel.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location on the beach, nearness to bus and subway lines, supermarkets and restaurants was very, very good. Just short walks to all amenities. Would definately stay there again without hesitation.

The Hotel staff was extremely helpful and spoke English rater well. My only down side is that the beds were two small single beds and not doubles like many other hotels. A little noisy in the morning but other than that it was fine. The concierge was great and helpful with my travel plans.

The only things this hotel have going for it are a convenient mid-Copacabana location, on the beach but just a short walk to the Metro, and a nice lobby. The "standard" room was bare-bones basic, with just enough room for the bed, and the TV mounted so awkwardly above the tiny desk shelf that it was hard to avoid banging my head against its heavy support bracket whenever I stood up. The air conditioning was not adjustable -- either very cold and noisy or off. No bottled water or paper tissues were provided. The windows did not seal well, but at least it was quiet in the rear location, where only the back walls of other buildings were visible. The breakfast was just OK, below par for Brazil.

Great place if you want to relax by the beach and eat the most amazing food in Copacabana.

Só fiz a reserva, porque foi combinado reserva de apto no décimo andar de frente para o mar. Lá chegando o atendente me informou que nao havia como. fiquei em quarto de fundo.

Boa localizacao, quartos reformados com cama muito confortavel, cafe da manha incluido e muito variado. Gostamos!

El Hotel, sus desayunos, su gente son muy buenos. El ruido externo (desconozco el origen) es infernal no deja dormir.

El hotel es excelente, el único punto flojo es la recepción que la atencion no es muy buena. La concerjeria durante la tarde es muy buena y por la mañana no. El resto es muy bueno.

O servico do hotel foi muito bom. Todos os funcionarios extremamente bem treinados e gentis. Em contra partida, o preco da diaria foi bem alto em relacao ao que o quarto oferecia. Nao tinhamos vista para nada e o tamanho do quarto tambem nao era dos maiores. O cafe da manha foi okay. Nao tinham muitas variedades, mas o suficiente para uma alimentacao "saudavel". Ficariamos no hotel novamente sim, mas nao no mesmo quarto...

Das mir zugeteilte Zimmer war bei einchecken um 17.30 Uhr nicht bereit. Trotz "Rauchfreier Zone" stank es nach abgestandenem Rauch im Zimmer. Konnte dann eine anderes Zimmer beziehen. "Aussicht" in den Hinterhof direkt Sicht an/in andere Wohnungen. Auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern grosser Lärm von Klimageräten und Anderem. Frühstück reichhaltig. Wifi nicht überall im Haus empfangbar. Insgesamt Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis nicht angemessen.

ao chegar para o check-in tomei um susto ao ser informado na recepção que apesar de já ter feito a reserva com antecedência de 20 dias e pago antecipadamente não teria disponiverl o quarto conforme solicitado com cama de casal e sim com duas camas de solteiro que foram devidamente "juntadas" prejudicando o conforto prometido na estadia, mas no geral um bom hotel, com excelente3 café da manhã e localização perfeita, assim como o serviço de quarto e atenção dos funiconários!! recomento a todos!!

Otima localização, em frente a praia e no meio do bairro de Copacabana, com estação do Metro proximo e farto comercio. O predio apesar de ser antigo, parece ter sido reformado e esta em bom estado e os quartos são espaçosos. Otimo café da manhã e equipe prestativa. Não é o melhor hotel na praia mas tem boa relação de custo beneficio, recomendo !

O Hotel é antigo mas bem conservado. O quarto é amplo, cama e colchão muito bons. Refrigeração em aparelho tipo "split". Infelizmente fiquei em um apartamento no terceiro andar, de fundos, com um barulho de motor que não me deixou dormir (como o hotel é antigo não há tratamento para abafar barulhos externos. Muito bom café da manhã e muita cortesia no serviço.

Hotel bem localizado na Av Atlântica, com dependências excelentes, funcionários educados prontos a atender todos os seus pedidos. O serviço de transporte indicado pelo hotel foi de primeira, pois não só transportavam, como também mostravam e comentavam os pontos turísticos da cidade. PARABÉNS OLINDA RIO HOTEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aguardem meu retorno em breve.

god atmosfære, hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening - stranden 50 m fra hotelldøren. trygt område, meget god frokost med rikholdig valg av frukt

Flott hotell med utsikt over Copacabana. Sentralt, med kort avstand til kollektiv transport. Nært til stranden, shopping, bank. Mange restauranter i umiddelbar nærhet. Betjeningen er veldig hjelpsom og yter god service.

Расположен отлично - выходит "лицом" прямо на пляж Копакабана, правда, за то, чтобы и окна номера выходили на океан, надо доплатить, но оно того стоит. Старинный интерьер, небольшое здание - наверно, когда-то давно он был одним из лучших отелей в Рио. Хороший шведский стол на завтрак, хорошие номера. Кое-кто из персонала даже говорит по-английски (редкость для Рио)! Вообще, неприятных сюрпризов в этом отеле не будет, я думаю, он стоит своих денег.

Espectacular la atención del personal. Te estacionan el auto frente al hotel por solo 2 reales. El desayuno muy bueno.

Très cher pour la prestation, on paye l'emplacement !!! Le petit-déjeuner était minable, c'est la première fois que j'ai un petit-déjeuner minable au Brésil. Au Brésil en général tous les petits-déjeuners sont merveilleux avec abondance de jus de fruits frais, de fruits, de pâtisseries, de yaourts aux fruits., des oeufs sur le plat, etc Seuls points positifs, le lit très confortable et l'emplacement de l'hôtel dans Copacabana près de la mer Concernant la TV, très peu de chaines, même pas TV5 !!!!

Excelente localização, mas a educação dos recepcionista decepcionam! Decoração precisando de um upgrade faz tempo!

Extremamente bem recepcionado pela equipe do hotel. O apartamento muito bem cuidado. Ar condicionado perfeito. TV com canais variados, cofre eletrônico. A localização é perfeita, na praia de copacabana e proximo a metrô e taxi. Recomendo fortemente.

A maçaneta do banheiro saiu na minha mão e a toalha parecia uma lixa. Pedi reserva de 1 cama de casal mas me entregaram 2 de solteiro. Como era 1 noite só e estava sozinho, não pedi p/ mudar de quarto. Fora isso, bom atendimento, boa localização, camas de solteiro confortáveis.
