The rooms are by any standard small but the hotel was clean, warm and comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast good value. The wi-fi and tvs could do with updating but otherwise this hotel represented excellent value for the modest price.

The room was too small. The staff lacked the good will to help customers but were pleasant, except for the breakfast staff whom hurried travellers from Europe to eat up quick. They did this by flashing the lights off and on then turned them off whilst people were still eating.The breakfast room was too small and every overcrowded. I would never book a hotel in Earls Court again. This is the first time I have not been fully satisified in hotel stay. But maybe its the area? I will ensure that I book my London hotel nearer to the city or uptown instead?

This hotel was in a convenient location close to Earls Court Station, which is a great location for getting to the sights. The one complaint we had was that they put us in the basement and we were not able to get wifi in our room. Also, the wifi was not consistent and would frequently not work at all. The staff was helpful and there were many great restaurants nearby. Overall, we would recommend this hotel. It was clean, safe, and convenient.

The location of this hotel is great! Walking distance to some of the big museums, Harrod's, Notting Hill, Hyde Park, and Picadilly circus even. A large supermarket across the road for cheap foods and stuff, and many good restaurants in the neighbourhood. Two minutes to the subway. Me and my sister got stuck in London during the flight-chaos just before Christmas, and we were lucky to get a new room for the extra 4 nights we had to remain in London. There's also an internet café across the road, wich also has cheap international calls. The staff is very helpful, and very knowledgeable of all the major attractions, bus lines, theathre tickets etc, and are happy to help you out. Even though we where stuck in London during christmas, is wasn't that bad since the Westbury is located so convieniently. I would absolutely go back. Even though the rooms, and the bathroom in particular is kinda small, the hotel makes up for it with it's perfect location and good service. I've stayed at more expensive hotels in London that's been a lot worse, and I can absolutely say that that the Westbury is a real treasure in London.

Was booked into a double room but was allocate a room which had two doubles and a single - all very clean with sheets and blankets. The mattress I slept on was not the comfiest. There was a flat screen tv in the room but you had to pay a £5 deposit for the remote control - clearly the hoteliers had been bitten before with guests walking off with it. The location was very quiet and the hotel was adequate for an overnight stay.

The location (about a 5 minute walk from Earl's Court Station) was great. There was an internet cafe within walking distance as well. The huge downside was the size of the room. We had a "triple," which was basically a U.S.-sized single with three beds crammed together. There was about a 3-foot wide runway leading to the beds which was not large enough to open our suitcases. The closet reeked of mothballs so it was not usable. The bathroom was actually smaller than my walk-in closet at home - my knees were touching the wall when using the toilet. The staff was friendly except for a woman in the dining room. One morning I turned on the TV to watch the news and she quickly turned it off and then walked away. The free breakfast was dreadful to boot. This was my first visit to London so it's impossible for me to gauge how poor this place was compared to others. I would not stay here again.

Be careful when you book these hotels. I was redirected and the place we stayed was very poor. to the maximum 1 star standard. The lift only can take 2 person and the carpet is very dirty. No english breakfast, corn flake and toast are provided based on self catering. The toilet and shower cubic is too small for normal British standard average size person. Anyway, not recommended!

Overall, it's small but perfect for catching some sleep in a convenient place. It's 2 blocks from Earl's Court Metro. Free breakfast saves you a lot of money since London is so expensive.

A great hotel, in a fantastic location! Very friendly and helpful staff, well organised. Rooms were clean and of good size. A continental breakfast was included which was a lovely bonus. A nice and pleasant hotel with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Would stay here again and recommend to friends. Really good value for money, good standard, no frills attached hotel. Quite a relaxed environment, you can come and go as you please. The hotel is ideally located near a tube station on the Piccadilly line, just a 5 min walk! With plenty of tourist information centers, restaurants and shops around neighbourhood, very accessible to all areas of London. All about location, location, location… this hotel is perfect for viewing all London tourist attractions, very central! The hotel is great for a short weekend trip to London, over all a very pleasant stay, with very competive and reasonable priced rooms for the locality. Made my stay in London very relaxed and enjoyable!

Excellent location and easy to find. Very close to tube. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Room was clean, beds comfortable. We were on 4th floor and it was warm in London at the time and the room was too warm at night despite window being open.

If you are looking for a relatively inexpensive place to rest your head and not planning on staying in, then the Westbury will be the place for you. The rooms are TINY, but it was fine for me and my fiance. We only spent one night at the hotel as we were transiting through London, but the hotel was conveniently located by the Earl's Court tube stop and there were plenty of shops and cafes around. The receptionist was very friendly and I thought the hotel was decently maintained. Do not expect anything grand or luxurious, but for it's price, it's clean and functional.

The hotel was generally OK and good value for money. Our double bedroom was rather small, though clean and cosy. There was no air conditioner so quite hot in the unusually warm london, however, a fan was available, which mediated the problem to some extent. The continental break fast and service was quite nice.

I have been extremely dissapointed with this hotels service. One the first night they offered us a basement room which has a door that leads to the outside allyway. It was unlocked when entered our room, making me and my partner very unsafe when trying to lock it with the key provided it wouldn't lock. I asked someone at reception to look into this, he came to my room with me and tried to lock this door, yet he was also having difficulties. Once he tempted to lock it we thought he did but once he left, me and my partner thought to check again and it really was unlocked. So I went up to the reception again to complain it was still unsafe for us to sleep with this door unlocked he came down and tried again. In the end after trying several time he advised us to leave the key in the door so it can be kept locked. This also meant we could not open any windows as anyone could turn the key around by putting their arm through the window on the other side, so it had to be kept closed even when the room temperature became hot. It was an awful experience as there were no windows in the bathroom. When we were trying to figure out how to lock the back door from the outside, an unexpected cigerette butt landed on my head and bounced to the floor. This is extremely dangerous, what if I looked up into the sky? I had told the receptionist and the lady called Catherine who has been very rude, unhelpful and impolite, said she can't do anything about it. Told us to report to the manager and when we asked to speak to the manager catherine said the manager does not work on weekends. "Come back tomorrow and speak to the manager or speak to your agency and find a different hotel." I find this extremely very rude. What kind of customer service is this? A cigerette butt hit my head and also to mention the guy who tried helping me lock the door said he will give me a different room in the morning but catherine insist there were no rooms available for us and cannot assist any further. Told

So after reading several good reviews of this hotel I was looking forward to my stay there, unforunately it was a bit of a disaster. The hotel was very conveniently located which was great and the staffwas very friendly but upon entering the room everything changed. The walls which were painted white had turned an awful dull grey color, the mattress was broken, the glasses were dirty, the shower had hairs in it, and not just a few. We thought, we'd try the mattress for a night as we were tired, but we both woke up with sore necks so I decided to try get the room changed. Since the room was very warm, I asked for a room with air conditioning because I didn't want to cause hassle over the state of the room. The hotel has no air conditioning at all so I had to list all the problems. They were very helpful and gave us the keys to two rooms. The basement room had a double bed but was very loud and right beside the kitchen so we went to the 4th floor which was a twin room but at this stage we didn' care. Upon choosing this room we realised we couldn't even open the window so we would boil alive. We eventually managed to get a small fan for the room which kept us cool but was terribly loud so we didn't sleep much. All in all a very uncomfortable stay and despite the helpful friendly staff I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

I was pretty exhausted from my travels to London; all I wanted was a comfortable bed to crash on for a few hours before the next leg of my journey. The room was clean enough; however the bed left something to be desired, it was about as comfortable as the floor. Other than that and the small dimension of the washroom the room proved to be clean if Spartan. I would recommend this hotel if you are traveling on a budget and don’t require lots of space and enjoy a hard and lumpy mattress. (Point of clarification I am just under six and a half feet tall so the space thing may not be as much of an issue for most travelers)

We stayed in this hotel for one night only, but it turned out to better than we had expected. Excellent for sightseeing and short stay. Some 200 metres from Earls Court tube station and a superstore open until midnight. Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, good continental breakfast. You will not find anything like that for this price in London!

OK, we knew from the review that rooms were small. That is not an understatement -- they were tiny especially by American standards. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable -- I strongly suggest running your daily itinerary by them, they knew some great deals -- like where to buy theater tickets. They are pretty close to a convenient metro location. I did not see a a/c controller but after reading the reviews we requested a room not in the basement so we were quite comfortable just by opening the window. Bonus FREE WIFI -- all hotels should have this!

I recently stayed at the Westbury and all in all I thought it was a good choice for someone travelling on a budget. The rates are very reasonable so bear that in mind when making a booking! You can't expect luxury, but it's perfectly fine for a couple of night's stay in a convenient location. POSITIVE: Very affordable in London standards, and conveniently located near Earl's Court tube station. There are plenty of restaurants, pubs and super markets nearby. The room I stayed in was surprisingly spacious. The best thing of all was the complimentary breakfast - very unusual in London hotels. (Toast, cereal, yoghurt, eggs, coffee, tea, juice.) Also, I was pleased that there was a chance to store luggage after I'd checked out. NEGATIVE: The walls are thin. If you're a light sleeper and unlucky with your next door neighbour, you simply won't sleep. There was also quite a lot of noice coming from the street. I didn't mind, but I could imagine many others being bothered by that. The windows were nice and big, but didn't really close properly, and the cold air kept coming in. The lady who was working on the reception on our arrival seemed very bored and indifferent. A little smile would've been nice!

The room was small and the breakfast was simple, but that was exactly as expected. We did not come London to spend our time in the hotel room. The bed was also a liltle short.

This is primarily a hotel where you put your bags in your room and then go sight seeing. The room and bathrooms are small compared to US hotels. Some rooms are dark. So, make sure you ask for a room that gets lots of natural sunlight. Internet access is available in public areas and some rooms. Not all rooms have internet. So, check with hotel. (Tip: Room 102 has great internet.) Conveniently located near Earl's Court tube station. Earl's Court is a great station as it has 2 big lines (Piccadilly and District). So, access to sight seeing spots is outstanding. Customer service was great. Room linens and sheets were clean. Continental breakfast included.

Had a reservation for 1 night. Room and bathroom were ok, a little worn but clean. Close to the subway and street of restaurant options.

I stayed at Westbury Hotel for 3 nights recently and was very pleased with my experience there. The hotel is very convenient to Heathrow and to all the attractions of Central London. The rooms are very small but well kep and clean. The staff was very friendly and accommodating of special requests when possible. I'd recommend this hotel if you're looking for a no-frills place in a great location at a terrific price for London.

We booked our stay based on previous reviews and the room we saw advertised online. We knew it was not "deluxe" but felt it would be fine for our needs. We were utterly dismayed when we saw our tiny cubicle with one small window. When we opened it for some air, someone in another room was smoking and blowing their smoke out the window and directly into our room. It was unbearable. The room was so small, we could hardly walk by the bed. Not at all as advertised.

As hotels go in London, this is ok. It is convenient and close to Earls Court Tube and 24 hour Sainsbury. While the front reception was really lovely, the service staff at the back end were really sourly and came into my room without knocking on my door when I complained that my floor was gritty. Relatively clean. The size of room is fine, better than several others in London. I would go back there again.

The room we received was clean and looked like it was recently refurbished. The hotel has a nice breakfast and the location is pretty convenient. However, I will not go back to the Westbury hotel and I would not recommend it. I think we could have handled the fact that the room was unbelievably small if it weren't for the horrible bed which literaly had springs popping out of the mattress. It's really a disgrace to provide hotel guests with such a shoddy bed, even in a relatively cheap hotel. The upside was that we hated the room so much that we hardly spent any time in it and saw much more of London.

thinking of the amount payed for our stay, wasnt it woth it. The Breakfast was more snacks than food. only available food was white toast bread, butter, honey, jam cornflakes and eggs. When we got thirsty at night, were we dependent on Sainsbury across Cromwell Rd. because the hotel didnt have a vending machine. The dining area had no childseat, but a travelbed for babies where given to us. uppon arrival, we saw plenty of hair and dust in the room from the previous users. I would strongly recommend a reduction in price before a stay at the Westbury. The receptionist where the most positive thinf about the hotel. A very kind and helpfull person. We would definately drop by the hotel just to say hi. The hotel is in the central part of London, and within walking range of most sights. pram we hard to handle in the hotel aswell as getting it in thru the main entrance.

The location of this hotel was wonderful. It was 2 minutes from Earl's Court Tube Station and only a 20 minute walk from Kensington High Street. The staff were very friendly. This was the best value for money we have encountered anywhere.

The hotel is in a very convenient location near Earl's court station, and close to nice places like Victoria & Albert and the Natural History & Science museums; it is within walking distance to Harrod's too. But boy, go to your room, and my goodness. After coming back from dinner (10pm) and have some sleep for a business meeting the next day, I found myself in a boiling hot room. The window was open since I've left (4pm). It was so bad I got sick after half a hour. They've managed to relocate me after some heated discussions. Not for summer. And the day wasn't even hot (18oC)!

Clean, convient, friednly

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel. Lobby & communal areas reasonably smart, breakfast basic but perfectly adequate. Room was a bit like a broom cupboard with double bed wedged against 3 of the walls so not exactly spacious but clean enough and the shower was good. If you're expecting luxury then you won't get it in London for this low price but if you just need a good value place to rest your head, shower and breakfast then this is probably as good as anywhere. Handy for Earls Court & Gloucester Road tubes..

Very clean room and bathroom. Not sure about the bad review below, but I had a very nice stay at the Westbury. In fact, I didn't realize how well I had it until I visited some other european cities. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, toast, jellies and nutella, OJ, apple juice, coffee, cereal, etc. Free wifi in the lobby and breakfast room. Great location - 5 minute walk from Earl's Court tube (subway) station. Room was about 14 inches wider than the double bed, plus a hallway connecting it to the closet, bathroom, and main door. Relatively small room, but it worked for two just fine. Definitely recommend this hotel to others.

I didn't know what to expect based on the mixed reviews, but the room was very clean, if very small. The hotel staff is very nice, and provided a free pack of tylenol when needed. The breakfast is pretty simple, cereal and toast, but saves a lot of money compared to buying breakfast in the city. As others have noted, wireless is only accessible from the breakfast room, but this did not turn out to be a major problem.

Hotel was very close to undergrounds and very easy to find The receptionist who seemed to be there all day everyday was cheery, helpfull and polite. The room was comfortable and tidy but could have done with some air conditioning or even a fan. Will stay there on my next London trip.

Was resonably pleasent, room was a bit small, and some staff seemed very miserable, but was cheap and easy reachable.

The location of this hotel is excellent. The condition of room, however, is very different. In my case, the first room was in the basement, and terrible; a bit smell and couldn't watch TV. The second one was opposite; clean and bright. The impression of this hotel might be very different, depending on your room. So you should ask a lady to change the room, if you disliked a room allocated.

Vi var 4 jenter som bodde på et firemanns rom på dette hotellet i 5 netter. Selv om vi på forhånd hadde lest at rommene var små, ble vi litt overrasket da vi kom frem. Selv om rommet var noe mindre enn forventet, var servicen på topp, og vi fikk se to rom (to dobbeltsenger eller fire enkeltsenger) som vi kunne velge mellom. Ellers var det rengjøring hver dag, noe vi var veldig fornøyde med. Frokosten var nok det vi minst likte med hotelloppholdet. Den var, som på de fleste engelske hoteller, veldig enkel og bestod av hvitt brød, ost, syltetøy og frokostblanding. Som nevnt tidligere så er de ansatte på hotellet svært greie. De ringte rundt og fikk bestilt bord når vi skulle spise middag, fikk reservert plasser på nattklubber og hjalp oss med alle våre spørsmål. Om du er ute etter et hotell som ligger i et helt rolig nabolag (3 min gå avstand til tuben) er dette perfekt! Man merker at det ikke er et 5-stjerners hotell, men for dere som ikke planlegger å tilbringe ferien deres på hotellet er det ypperlig!

Поэтому предполагала, что будем из гостиницы передвигаться пешком до достопримечательностей. Купили карту на метро и отлично катались. - маленький номер для любителей простора (я у Англичан в таких же комнатах жила, так что это норм)

Hotellet som sådan var vel godt nok, men værelset var for lille til 3 personer og toiletrummet var så lille, at vi ikke kunne sidde fremad på toilettet og man skulle træde over toilettet for at komme i bad. Morgenmaden var efter vores mening ret dårlig. Vi spiste på hotellet 1 gang derefter valgte vi at spise ude i byen. Hotellet lå kanon i forhold til, at køre med bus og tog til det vi havde valgt at se i London

Friendly staff, minute rooms (shower room in a cupboard), freezing cold, paper thin walls, great location and cheap. Next time we will pay a bit more for better comfort! But hey - you get what you pay for and we did not spend a lot of time in our room!

Das Hotelzimmer war eine Katastrophe. Eine Gefängniszelle ist grösser. Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer das Bett (140 cm) war an eine Wand gestellt, man konnte also nur von einer Seite ins Bett. Der Frühstücksraum war ebenfalls eine Katastrophe. Ganz zu schweigen vom Frühstück. Die Bewertung des Hotels mit 3 Sternen ist absolut ungerechtfertigt.

Vi var godt tilfredse med vores ophold på Westbury. Beliggenheden er god, og kvarteret er godt. Vedligeholdelsen var måske ikke i top, Der var lamper, der ikke virkede - og hårtørreren gjorde heller ikke. Men hotellet er ret billigt, så det levede op til forventningerne. Vi boede 3 voksne på et lille værelse med et ekstremt lille badeværelse, så prisen kan ikke være højere.

Jag och min vän skulle spendera fyra dagar och fem nätter i London och valde tillslut detta hotellet, det är inget vi ångrar! För det första var det jättelätt att hitta dit och det var inga problem för oss att checka in klockan halv ett på natten. Hotellet är väldigt fint och rent, likaså rummet vi fick. Dock är rummen väldigt små, men det är å andra sidan majoriteten av hotellrummen i London. Badrummet var rent och fräscht. Rummet städades och man fick rena handdukar varje dag. Frukosten ingick i priset och då gick man ner i matsalen där det fanns flingor, fil, bröd, ost, te, kaffe, varm chocklad med mera. Det finns mataffärer och restauranger i närheten men vill man åka mer innåt centrum så är det väldigt lätt också. Från närmaste hållplatsen Earl's Court går både Piccadilly och District line. Personalen var alltid trevlig och tillmötesgående. Tänk dock på att man måste betala 5 pund för att få kontrollen till TV, men man får tillbaka det vid utcheckning. Jag kan absolut tänka mig att bo här igen och jag rekommenderar det gärna till andra.
