K&K Hotel am Harras - ميونيخ

K & K hotel is not a four stars hotel. For the price, it is a fair choice.

This was my third time staying at the hotel. I had been happy there the first two times, and this time was even better. The room they gave me was on an upper floor (5th out of 6), looked out on the back (nice and quiet), was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the internet was free (there were both WIFI and line connections). The price made it an even better deal. The only issue I would raise is that the hotel is 4-5 subway stops from the city center. But the subway station is almost right outside the hotel's front door and the U-Bahn gets you to the city center quickly. There's also a S-Bahn station 1-2 blocks away. All-in-all, a good, solid choice for Munich.

Good location. 4 subway stops from the heart of downtown - Marienplatz. Subway is across street. Quiet neighborhood with supermarket within a one minute walking distance. Gym and pool short walk from hotel. The staff at the hotel is EXCELLENT helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to support me. I didn't eat at the hotel. The only downside from my perspective was that my room had carpeting. Personally, I don't like carpeting. But otherwise, I have nothing negative to say about the hotel.

Excellent excellent, I would recommend it 100%. I stayed there for 4 nights; great food, attention and price.

very easily accessed hotel. u-bahn station just outside by lift. hotel very clean and efficient. quiet neighbourhood with an italian scene.

This was excellent for our requirements, we arrived very late at night and the receptionists were very welcoming and friendly. would recommend this hotel, was excellent

Nice hotel within walkable distance to Oktoberfest. A little distance from the center of the city, but it that has the benefit of being more quiet during Oktoberfest. Comfortable rooms at lower price than alternatives.

Across the street to the U Station. Very nice, clean rooms, although somewhat small. decently priced.

This is a pleasant hotel very close to Harras underground which take less than 10 minutes on the U6 to get to the centre of Munich. They recommended some very good German Restaurants for us. Staff at reception are very pleasant and helpful. There is a local supermarket and other shops around it. The room we had was on the small side but perfectly adequate. Free hard-wired internet connection in room. Two PC's available for use in reception.

We booked this hotel based on accessibility and affordability. The U Bahn train was across the street and four stops from Marianplatz (we bought 3 day passes for 13.30 Euro and were able to travel to all of attractions. It met both of our standards, we had a great stay in Munich.

Location opposite a U-bahn station (buy tickets at hotel reception) and with parking below the hotel makes it perfect for people who are driving and visiting Munich (though extensive road works around the hotel while we were there resulted in a minor accident to our parked car). Our room was on the small side but clean and comfortable. If staying at this hotel, walk along the road towards the McDonald's and cross the road to the restaurant "s'Tascherl" below road level for an interesting and excellent dining experience.

Overall, the hotel was OK. We requested a non-smoking room, but when we got there only smoking was available. We booked with the non-refundable option so didn't really have an opportunity to switch hotels. Hotel staff tried to accomodate us by switching to another room that was a little less 'smoky'. Other than the lack of a non-smoking room, the staff was friendly and the hotel was clean.

This hotel is well located to the Underground system thus easy access to all of Munich including the airport. It is very clean and the bathroom excellent. The room is very comfortable and well laid out. The staff were very helpful and spoke good english.

This hotel had a very small room, which was exactly what I wanted. The price was perfect and it is maybe 1 block from both the U-bahn and S-bahn trains. The wireless internet in the room would cut out at times but that was the only thing that was not perfect about it. Overall, the location is perfect, the room is no more or less than you really need and for an amazing price too. The front desk staff is friendly as well. They have a policy that you leave your room key with the front desk when you leave the hotel, and they are on staff 24/7 so that you can get the key when you return. It's very nice because it is one less thing to carry around and/or lose. Great hotel that I would recommend to anyone visiting Munich.

I've used K&K Harras Hotel a couple of times now on visits to Munich & I would thoroughly recommend staying. It's located beside the S-Bahn & U-Bahn stations. I would recommend using the U-Bahn as the lift from the station platform to street level is opposite the hotel door. Also there is rebuilding work at the S-Bahn station that does make exiting very difficult with luggage as there's no lift or elevator & a very big bridge. Back to the hotel. From the greeting at reception to the cleanliness of the rooms. Everything about the hotel is fabulous. Thank you & I will stay again.

This well-kept, medium-sized (100 room) hotel offers great value. The property is quite clean and shows little wear. The staff are friendly, always have a smile and kind word, and speak excellent English (helpful for those of us from the States). The U-Bahn (subway) and S-Bahn (surface rail) stations are literally next door so it’s easy to get around Munich including to and from the airport. This hotel is nestled in a delightful and quiet neighborhood. If you’re a curious tourist, take a few hours to explore the rhythms of a Munich neighborhood. St. Margaret’s church is two blocks away, the neighborhood cemetery is across the street, the supermarket (Edeka) is just up the street, and small shops, restaurants, and bakeries dot the landscape. If you need Euros, the bank and its ATM’s are next door. McDonalds is next to the bank. Walk around and explore. Breakfast is excellent but somewhat expensive. If you’re budget conscious, options exist outside the hotel’s door. I’ve stayed here several times for pleasure and have always enjoyed the experience. I will always stay here while visiting Munich. You can’t go wrong with this choice.

Great value. We didn't want to stay centrally in Munich as it can be noisy, so this quiet hotel with both S-Bahn and U-Bahn on the doorstep was ideal. Very helpful staff - following a train cancellation we emailed the hotel. They promptly provided information about late night S-Bahn services ensuring we were able to return safely that night. Rooms not large but adequate if you are spending the day sightseeing.

The hotel was great, close to the underground and very helpfull staff. I would skip the breakfast as it is overpriced and rather enjoy a Breakfast in town but convenient for business travellers. Clean and practical with undergroud parking if need be but it is very expensive.

We recommend this hotel because the price was really good for the quality of service we received. Even though the location is not near the Munich downtown, there is a subway stop in front of the hotel and in 10 minutes you're at Marienplatz! The breakfast room was nice and clean, the food was very good.

This was one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The staff was friendly and helpful. Even with the language barrier, the were very accommodating. Although there was some challenges finding the hotel due to road construction, once we arrived everything was great. Would stay there again.

Location, location, location! The "U" subway is right next to the hotel, 6 short stops from the center of Munich. We bought a 3 day group ticket for up to 5 people for about 22 euro. Driving to and from the hotel was fine with GPS. The parking spaces under the hotel are *tiny* so be prepared to have someone guide you throu the tight spots. The hotels is clean and well cared for. I thought it was a good choice and would stay again.

We are always a little apprehensive when booking a hotel in an unknow city. Bun in a foreign country, the apprehension was twice as high. But once we got there, everything was great. It was walking distance to the Octoberfest and the room was comfortable. The breakfast was rather expensive I thought (18 euros a person) so we opted to go to McDonalds.

Best bang for ur Buck. always good location and great satff.

We got a great deal on this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, it was conveniently located steps away from the U-bahn elevator, and close to quite a few places to eat and drink. The room was the perfect size, very clean and well furnished. My only complaint was that the air conditioning wasn't very efficient, which made it slightly uncomfortable for an unusually hot weekend.

We had two nights at the Hotel K&K. The air conditioning was broken the first night, which made it a little uncomfortable. It was fixed the next day, although it still wasn't that cool. Other than that, we liked it very much. It is steps away from the underground, which is so efficient, you are literally a few minutes away from anywhere you want to go in Munich. We ate at a little restaurant on the same street which also sold gelato - the gelato was delicious. There was also a McDonald's on the street. We had our breakfast there, because we didn't want a full breakfast. I appreciated the free use of computers on the lobby level and the complementary coffee and tea there as well. They offer a variety of newspapers also. On the whole, this was a very good hotel, excellent service. We are just used to places located in a warm climate having more air conditioning.

This business hotel is located in Sendling, near West Park, on the south side of town, six Metro Stops from Marienplatz, the town center. We initially thought it was too far from the city highlights but would go back because of the quieter, convenient neighborhood & the good value. Parking was 15 Euro per day. I would encourage Hotels.com to improve the directions & map in the listing. We've previously stayed in the Hauptbahnhof area, which is not exactly a tranquil, safe area anymore.

I enjoyed my stay at the K&K. The room was a little small but it really didn't matter because I was by myself. I found myself hitting the walls at night because of the twin bed. I opened my window in room 518 and realized that there were huge spiders outside of the window so I closed it. I checked in on 25-11-2009 and the weather was pretty mild (52 degrees). I tried to turn on the air to get it moving around, but nothing really happened. Breakfast was a little to expensive $15/euro, so I decided to eat McDonald's which is 2/minutes away if you walk. The U-6 is right there so 7 minutes you are at the city center and having a crap load of fun.

The hotel was much nicer than we had anticipated. We stayed in a double room and had plenty of space to move around. The complimentary internet was nice and the shower felt like those in the states. We didn't notice much to do around the hotel, but it is about a 1 minute walk to the Harras Metro stop which means only a few minute ride to the center of the city. We did not opt for the breakfast with the room. On-site it costs something like 20 euro's (it was a Sunday, so maybe it was supposed to be a brunch.) Either way, it was not worth it at all. That was the only real negative we could come up with for that price. The room was also very quiet since it is in a more quiet area of town.

WHAT A NICE SURPRISE. AFTER STAYING IN HOTELS IN LONDON AND PARIS THIS WAS THE BEST OF THE THREE AND FOR THE BEST PRICE. I THOUGHT I WAS BACK IN THE USA.

Pleasant enough, not really the right location for where I was working. Staff nice: friendly and helpful. Breakfast standard German continental buffet - ok. Free internet and worked perfectly which is good. Think they do room service until 11pm which is better than most in this price in Munich. Arrived late and left early so not able to evaluate all facilities but it was fine for the one night I was there. Location not great from my point of view so unlikely to return but would still recommend to others.

Very impressive hotel. Great service, rooms were very clean and comfortable. The shower was great. Easy walk to Oktoberfest, one block from the Harras station. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel - very close to public transportation! Staff very helpful - booking tours, suggesting restaurants, answering questions.

Hotel is quite comfortable and located extremely close to subway and train services. It is only a few stops from the city and an easy transfer from the rail station. Staff are warm and friendly. Free high speed internet ( two computers and free coffee ) Good place to stay.

We were very satisfied with the hotel. GThe staff was very friendly and helpful. It is very close to the U Bahn, and only about a block from the s bahn stops, which only makes about a 10 min ride to down town. The only the hotel restaurant was too much $$$ and the choices of places to eat close by were very few, but with downtown not too far by rail it was not bad. We would absolutely stay there again. The beds were VERY comfortable.

Hotel was clean, quiet, staff friendly, location perfect, away from tourist, across the street from Metro so only a short train ride to anywhere. Loved it!

based on the comments, i expected a much smaller room. i felt it to be quit spacious for an european hotel, and especially for the price. it's right on the subway line, so even though its not right in the center - it's still pretty convenient if you don't mind walking and/or public transit. although the surrounding neighborhood is quiet, so if you prefer more action it might not be fore you. the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful as well. i will definitely stay here again next time i'm in munich.

Hotel room was clean and staff was very helpful. The room was a bit small and there is not a lot within walking distance. Though a bus stop nearby can get you where you want to go.

This hotel is very functional, simple, not overly roomy. Price is reasonable and it is in a typical german neighborhood, away from downtown hustle. Skip the overpriced buffet and hit one of the cafes in the immediate area. Good access to train, easy shot downtown or other areas.

K and K is a great European chain. The K and K Munich was located a short U-bahn or S-bahn trip away from the city center. It was in a safe area, convenient, and clean. It provides everything one would need as a traveler, including free wi-fi and a computer one can use.... The desk staff were helpful, and the breakfast was very good. Try the mustard! This is a winner--highly recommended.
