Clarion Inn & Suites New Orleans - نيو أورليانز

The Clarion New Orleans should be avoided at all costs. We valet parked our car in what we were assured was their private, locked garage and our bicycles were stolen. Since the only people who have access to the garage are hotel employees and the valets, we can only assume that an employee was the thief. When we spoke with the hotel manager, LaQuisha, she very curtly told my husband that the hotel takes no responsibility. Poor customer service, dishonest employees and the fact that this place is pretty much an expensive dump are the basis for this review.

Great hotel and great staff. Only one elevator which caused some frustration but other than that and the caliber of people wandering around the hotel, it was a great stay especially considering the cost. Would stay there again.

Room was next to maintenance door and the door was opened and slammed shut all night and in to the early morning. Terribly inconsiderate of staff. Bed was uncomfortable. Did not sleep at all. Would never stay here again. Not satisfied.

Decent property but could use some improvements.

Close enough walk to Bourbon Street. The valet service was kind of slow and the room was kind of dated. It's close to the hospital but I didn't hear the sirens once I fell asleep. Fair price for the proximity to the French Quarter.

Very comfortable room, clean. Great view of the city. No pool, workers werent too friendly.

It was an excellant hotel and would love to go again

The Hotel was not too far from the French Quarter but the parking was horrible. No parking and you had to pay the valet fee if you want to leave your car close. There were 4 of us in the room and the room was too small and the pull out bed was broken. I recommend to find a more close hotel for the price I paid.

The rates were better than anything I checked on close by. The hotel was nicer than expected. I was pleased with my stay. Breakfast was good. The only issue was paying for parking because self parking lot for hotel was supposedly full, but that is the lot my car bascially stayed in for the weekend at $22/day.

We were in town for the Final Four. Hotels.com did not indicate the 100% cancelation fee until after the reservation was made. It actually told us we had until two days before to cancel. Only to find out we would be charged the full amount of the room when we cancelled. The location was terrific. The room was fairly comfortable. The sofa bed had the thinnest mattress we had ever seen. We stayed two nights, no one came to clean the room or even change out the towels.

The room wh had was about 12 ft. by 14 ft.that included the bathroom. the shower was 2 by 2 ft. and they have mandatory valet parking which cost $25.00 per day. would not stay there again.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone over the age of 25. The beds where hard and the staff was even worse. The location was at the end of canal st. and near a bus stop where you were afraid you will be mugged by the locals. We had to change room by to the elevator hitting against the wall with every door opening.

The room was clean, however it smelled like mildew. The sofa sleeper was nothing but springs. Had to go buy a blow up bed. We couldn't eat at the continental breakfast any of the 3 days we were there. Way too many people, no where to sit to eat and ran out of food very early. Signs all over saying you cannot take your breakfast to your room. You can order expensive room service. Whats the diference? STAY AWAY!!!!

Room was so small we could not even move around. Not enough counter space in bathroom. Old hotel. Continental breakfast was good.

The location was very unsafe specially if I need it to walk with my two young children's. Outside the hotel was very dirty with trash on the floor and out of the trash recipents and the smell was extreamly unpleasant. Inside the hotel was clean and neat and I thought what a contradiction when you look outside. The sofa was soooo uncomfortable it had a bar in the middle and my son wake up with back pain. Thank God it was only for one night.

The staff was super friendly and the breakfast bar was the best I have ever had at a motel. The rooms were clean (it is an old building) and some even had a kitchenette. That said, we were alarmed to hear that a shoot out occurred the night before our stay (two people died and two officers were sent to the hospital). Also, we learned on the last day of our stay that someone had been breaking in to rooms. Sadly, much of the crime is endemic to New Orleans. Since we did not personally experience any criminal acts and the staff was so friendly, I would consider staying at the motel again. The trolley makes the motel convenient to the FQ and CC. Parking need not be an issue if you use the valet service or park in the designated visitor spots inside the attached Tulane medical center building (Fee is $6.25 per day cash only and you will have to walk up the ramp; we did not drive the entire time we were in the city). Good luck, NOLA on rebounding from Katrina.

Convenient location to New Orleans Arena where I was primarily going. Room could use a table. Didn't utilize the fridge, sink or microwave but could see how that would be beneficial to the right people.

The hotel was nice. The staff was friendly. The room was a little on the small side but it was fine. The bed was really comfy!! If you are looking to stay close to the Quarter this is a good hotel that is reasonably priced.

The hotel was ok. It's located on Canal so that's a plus. Service wasnt the best. There's no parking so you have to pay $22 to valet, hated that part of it. All in all it was ok, but I think next time I will choose a different hotel.

The hotel emplyees were very nice. The rooms are small but very clean. Eoom door had major gaps in it to where you could hear the foot traffic at all hours. When the ac kicked on the doors slammed shut.

LOVED IT....AWESOME !!!!!!

stayed in motel for Mardi Gras great location close to everything room was clean and free breakfast I was very happy until I seen by bank statement they put way to many holds on my credit card the room was already paid in full then they put very high holds 3 times on my account I only stayed 2 days I could understand 1 but not 3 and it takes 3-7 days for the holds to release so I had to call them several times to get it fixed and why they put 3 on in the first place, a big amount of money you cant use for no reason is upsetting when you are on vacation and it took the manager 2 days to call me back I had to call the choice hotel hotline to get a response

It was over all good service and the rooms are very clean. And one of the Mardi Gras Parades passes right in vront of the hotel

Really nice hotel, just outside the Mardi Gras Canal Street parade route. Great hot breakfast, friendly staff, close enough to be within walking distance of Bourbon Street, the waterfront, and all the common visitor sights, yet far enough from Bourbon Street to be able to sleep at night. All suites, all non-smoking, great price. I will return.

Did not Inform us of the parking cost, of 28.00 a day, untill we we're checking in.

I booked rooms for Mardi Gras weekend and I was worried because the hotel was cheaper than other hotels in the same area, but the room was soooooo much nicer than than what i thought it was gonna be. i loved it. I will be back. The parking price was too expensive but hey atleast i didnt have to worry about my car!

Nice hotel, very good location for access to the French Quarter. Very easy to get in and out of. Only semi complaint was the heater, it was cold outside and no matter how high we turned the heater, the room never got above 69 degrees. The hot water however was awesome, got hot in about 2 seconds. Would stay in this hotel again.

The hotel was a little old and run down looking. The elevator was very small. Valet parking lot was very small. The bathroom was also small. The room wasn't that bad at all. Very close to Bourbon St. Overall it was not very fancy, but conveinent for walking along Canal Street and to Bourbon Street.

First the price charged to my credit card was different than what was agreed upon-there was supposed to be a refund of $62 and there was and then it charged again for that amount,and I could never get through to to an agent.I called 9 times and each time it got to my problem and was suddenly cut off. I finaly gave up.-then when I checked in I was put on the eleventh floor-When I ask for a different room the clerk very rudly stated every room was booked and I could not get a different room or floor -A verry definate " Take it or leave it"

This place is nice. No its not the Wyndham or the Double Tree. But its a quite place thats affordable for New Orleans. Its conveinent for as location. Very comfortable.

The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to most of the places you would want to go. The hotel was outdated but really clean. The service was polite but appeared disorgranized and kind of slow. The room and bathroom were pretty small, we stayed in a one-king size bed room and there wasn't room for much of anything else. Overall it is good for a one night stay if you don't plan on spending much time in the room other than for sleeping and just need a cheap rate. But if you're looking for a luxorious stay I would look elsewhere.

This was the best price we found so close to the French Quarter. It was more of a walk than other hotels, but not bad. Only 10 or 15 minutes to Bourbon. The staff was friendly and let us have a late check-out, which was awesome. The room was confortable and clean. Breakfast was blah and we had to get our own car when leaving, but overall good quality for the price.

The room was clean & comfortable and the free breakfast ' self serve' was very good. If you"re there around any of the festivities, expect some noise. Being only 5 blocks from Bourbon St. it's just a short walk down Canal St. Was there for the Saints & LSU playoff games and Kings day, the beginning of Madi Gras. As in many towns , use caution where you wonder.

I have 3 bad things to say: 1:the parking lot is a joke. it can only hold maybe 20 cars and then you have no choice but to valet your car which is $22/day. 2: the hal ways are very run down but the lobby and rooms are very nice. 3: the water pressure in the room we had was horrible. I could spit harder than the water came out.Other than that it is an ideal location right on Canal St.

It takes a while to get your car from valet but check out early and it shouldn't be a problem

It was okay for a cheap hotel. It needs a heavy cleaning and upgrade (i.e. carpet cleaning). Would probablly choose another hotel over this one when I return.

The hotel staff was friendly, and everything was very simple. The internet is free. Checking in and out is as easy as waving hello & goodbye as you walk in the door. Parking is very easy, and it's a very short walk to Bourbon street. There is a free breakfast. Our room was really comfortable, with a view of the city. The bathroom was so tiny it was like an airplane restroom, but maybe that's normal for New Orleans. I've never been to New Orleans before, but let me say, it smells HORRIBLE. The entire city. And the hotel elevator is no exception. Blech! The music on Bourbon Street was fantastic, and the crowd has a fantastic energy, with everyone being so friendly. I don't usually drink, but the cute bartender did a backbend and some magic turning thing to give me a shot, and how can you say no to that? The drinks were great at every bar. Overall, due to the convenience and simplicity of the hotel, and the great vibe of the surrounding city, I'd return to this hotel. 3 stars because (with such a dirty, smelly city) it definitely doesn't feel like a 4 or 5 star hotel, but it's also MUCH better than a la quinta or standard cookie-cutter hotel.
