I was very happy with the service of the hotel! The staff was pleasant and bent over backwards to help us with anything we asked, including a late checkout so we could shower after the race! The only problem I had was that I found dog poo under the bed with my foot that was missed by the cleaning staff. The neighborhood was not the greatest, but the hotel was convenient to the starting line, in good condition, and at a very reasonable price.

Some of the reviews from 2010 weren't very complementary although those from 2011 were good so I was a bit weary. BUT - for the cost and the location, we were pleasantly surprised. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and appreciated the hot breakfast - so many places only serve a complementary fare. Would recommend this location.

The biggest thing I learned is to confirm the reservation with the hotel after the room is booked through hotels.com, as initially I booked a king-smoking room and was offered a double-bed-smoking room when I arrived. Diane (at the desk) was very helpful. We wound up with a non-smoking King room with a hot tub (we were given a free upgrade to the hot tub room due to the misunderstanding). The hotel itself was nice for the price; I would book it again.

*no washcloths *cold showers at 9 a.m.!! *Staff disheveled

Very nice hotel, convenient to restaurants and medical facilities. Comfortable bed, however, pillows were thin....

Very near to attractions, shopping, and hospitals. Right by the interstate for convenience. Had to stay an extra night for medical reasons and the hotel accomodated us quickly.

The Comfort INN l was close to available resturants.

While the hotel did its best for what it is I would not recommend it. The section of town is a little rough to say the least. Gang graffitti everywhere and it is just not in a good area. The hotel is on a street off a major roadway without a light so getting in and out is difficult. There was also construction which added to the difficulty. The room was clean but smelled of insecticide or commercial cleaner pretty bad. The rooms were very small which made it difficult to even move about. The hotel is a bit run down and needs renovation. It worked for a night and the staff was helpful and friendly but the condition and location make it so I will never return and can't recommend this one.

The bathroom floor looked like it needed to be stripped and cleaned. The caulking around the tub was coming out of grouting space. There was too much furniture in the room and we couldn't move around the room.

There was a scraggly group of men outside.. Guests, I presume. Loud and smoking. BUT, was warned of this by other Comments I read. Just a little apprehensive but no problems at all. Breakfast badlly needed attention. Employee was tending to a small child while the food suffered.

While my room was clean & comfortable, the hotel exterior was very shabby looking. What was worse, however, was all the people hanging around the front entrance, the lobby, & the hallways. They were mostly rough-looking characters & it made me very uncomfortable leaving my room or entering & exiting the hotel.
