This hotel is right next to Ft. lauderdahl Beach. Very convenient to walk to the beach. Other than that it was not great. The rooms are very old and run down. We stayed over superbowl and the TV would not work to receive it. We went to the bar to watch it and the service was horrible. I sat with an empty drink for about 15 min. several times. She was too busy looking for apts. on her cell phone. The place has a bathroom attendant which surprised me because it is not a high class place. I would not stay there again. The front desk staff was very nice and efficient and check in went smoothly ....they even let us check in early. Overall not a great hotel.

Deferred Maintenance Galore! Wood rot everywhere, cheap "hotel smell" abounds, ugly paint, letters getting ready to fall off the side of the building, terrible rooms that haven't been updated since Reagan and hard-as-a-rock mattresses! The food was pretty good in the restaurant, however. Pretty much sums it up...

The location was bad, very difficult to register, park, and the hotel room was small, dirty, smelled, and too many locals hanging around. Don't stay here!!

Love staying at the Bahia. The Hotel is showing a lot of wear which they need to update. We have been coming here for years but for the price just not the same. Cannot not beat the convenience of the Hotel.

Hotel is located nicely across the street from the beach. we had an ocean view room. I would rate the hotel as 2-star but it definiety is good value if you only need a place to stay before or after a cruise. You pay what you get so for what I'm willing to pay just to spend an extra day in Florida before my cruise sails, this is a good spot. hotel is not extravagant but everything works, you get hot water and a bed to sleep. I will definitely consider going back again on my next cruise.

Only stayed one night before a cruise. Room was not so clean, carpet stained etc. Bed & sheets were clean and nice. Some kind of little flys or insects was there, no bed bugs though. Perfect location when partying and going to beach.

If you can help it do it, don't go to this hotel, specially if you have family.

The room was not dusted and had hair in the restroom. The ceiling was patched above the bed so it felt a little errie. It was walking distance to food and the beach. The hotel bar had a wonderful view of the intercoastal. If you don't mind it being not so clean but wanna stay at the beach for cheaper it's okay. I don't like the room was worth the rate. Yes, cheaper than others but come on! The important part is we slept well and felt a little safe.

There were 4 of us: two adults and two children ages 9 and 11. The room was just big enough for all of us to be comfortable. It was small, but clean. There were no rooms with a view of the beach and there was a lot of construction going on across the street where the beach was. Our view was of the fire house wall on one side and the kitchen rooftop on the other. I don't think this hotel was child friendly because the pool was in the bar area. I didn't want my grandchildren to be in the pool on a Fri night at 8:00 with the bar filling up. They went back to swim in the morning and the pool was very dirty and littered with cigarette butts. The food was OK: we had fish fingers and fries with an ample amount of tartar sauce. The service was OK too, considering how busy the restaraunt was. This hotel is not centrally located among any shops or activities or within walking distance of any. I reccommend this place if you don't have kids and really want to party.

Outstanding knowledgeable friendly service from both the hotel and restaurant. Excellent location right next to the Water Taxi (and beach)! Good food and drinks (and reasonable priced) at the restaurant. We stayed in the 500 building which was convenient in and out to our freely parked car. Had a fridge. My wife and I were very pleased with this hotel.

I knew going in the place was not going to be dripping with luxury considering the nightly rate was a bargain. Though the room was decently cleaned it lacked modern touches like central air. There was a loud AC unit that made it difficult to hear conversations and the television. We stayed 3 nights and it felt like I was sleeping on a box spring. I could never get comfortable. The bathroom was small and very cramped. Our building unit was mid-way down the block and was virtually empty, it was kind scary to have the place to ourselves. We wondered if there were any other guests. At least we were able to park next to the stairwell. And no, there were no elevators so we had to drag our heavy suitcases up a narrow staircase in the rain. The only good thing about the place, other than the bargain price, was that it was centrally located. It really was across the street from the beach and dining options and attractions are nearby.

nice location,nice service, excellant atmosphere

With several different buildings it was quite inconvenient to check in, bring luggage to room and park (this was a rainy slow Friday evening for Ft.Lauderdale) parking non existent! All cars were to be parked by a Valet... I don't think so! I did find a place to park so that was avoided. All of the staff were polite, friendly & acommodating so the it made up for inconveniences. Overall for one night stay it was perfect.

The only thing good about this hotel is the Location! The upkeep of hotel is awful, the bed was rock hard and the sheets had stains on them. I am glad I spent very little time in the room. Next time I wont look for the cheapest room on the beach, sometimes you do get what you pay for..

we went to ft. lauderdale for the beach & the hotel has a great location right across the street from it. the food was tasty, the drinks were strong, the entertainment was good & most importantly, the prices weren't steep. i knew not to expect trump plaza but for the price, i was satisfied. i would definitely stay here again.

We just returned from a family vacation to this hotel. It was our first time to Ft. Lauderdale, so we were very unfamiliar with the area. The front desk staff were extremely helpful with giving dining suggestions and also with supplying extra towels as needed. The front desk clerk even offered his own sunscreen to our family when the hotel store was late to open one morning and we wanted to buy sunscreen as we headed to the beach. The food at the hotel restaurant was very good and inexpensive for a family. (no kids menu, but reasonable prices) There was live music each night, which was nice, and it was not disruptive to us in our room when we closed the door. The kids loved the pool, but there were not many lounge chairs for the size of the resort. There was a poolside bar open on the weekend, which was convenient. After the weekend, we just had to walk out of the pool area to the main bar for drinks, but it was not far at all. There were plenty of pool towels available at the front desk. The hotel itself was a little rundown with age, but the staff worked hard to keep everything clean, and they hosed down the restaurant/bar area each day. The location was great. We were right on the marina, to see boats moving about. The Jungle Queen riverboat tour was right next door, which was a lot of fun. We were able to easily walk a short way to the many restaurants and shops along the beach strip. The beach was right across the street, along with public restrooms. There is construction currently going on along the beachfront right in front of the hotel, so we had to walk about a block down to cross over to the beach, but it wasn't bad. Our room was kept in decent condition, despite the fact that the hotel was older. Our only real complaint about the hotel was the parking situation. We were expecting to have plenty of self-parking, since we rented a car, but found that coming in on a Saturday made it difficult to find a spot in self-parking (there are only about 15 spots down

Definitely not up to my expectations of a Days Inn!!!!!! The AC was recently installed and there were gaps all around the unit directly to the outside. I set the temp to 68* F and the unit never stopped running during our 16 hour stay. The unit was located right beside the bed, in fact it was less than 4ft from my head as I tried to sleep. On a positive note the staff tried to accommodate our every request but were hampered by the site conditions and hotel location. For what we received I felt that the cost per night was over priced!!!!!

Incredible staff and incredible patio bar / restaurant. One of the hottest places in Fort Lauderdale.

We stayed here the last night of our vacation to the Keys. Needed somewhere to crash before flying ohm in the AM. Beach is just across the street, very cool bar and decent food. We will probably be back if our travels take us back down FLL way.

It's an older hotel and the room aren't anything to write home about, but the location on the ICW and right next to the water taxi stand are great! The tiki bar on the water is the happening spot on Fort lauderdale Bch. Even though it is an older hotel the staff seem to make up for it , with valet parking and great customer service.

The hotel is way out of shape its all over the street, no parking spaces, the rooms stink & bath facilities are horrible, its grose to even take a shower

Read the reviews. It is an older hotel with a party every night. The price was the lowest I found in the area. So think about it...it will be a little out dated in the rooms, and it may be a little loud outside depending on your room location, BUT you can't beat the place for fun. It has two cabana bars, a good outdoor restaurant and a band every night. OH yeah, the beach is across the street. If you are looking for a five stash hotel..then you probably wouldn't even have found this place. If you need a cheap place to stay, and want to have fun in the process.....book it now. The color of my hotel room wall doesn't affect the great time I had here. Oh yeah..they have cheap shuttles to the ports for cruised that we took advantage of too. From what I read in other reviews...it was better than I expected.

We were greeted nicely and they made an effort to clean the room for us for an early check in, for which we were grateful. We were able to use their internet for free, 15 mns at a time, which was also a nice touch. Restaurant very pleasant by the water, food was good and very reasonable and waitress very nice. The room was comfortable and what we asked for: first floor, main building. However, bathroom was not very clean,as we found hair here and there and the windowsill was so dusty we could not put the soap on it (no other place provided in the shower so we had to put it on the floor.)

My wife and I just came back from there. The noise level was TOO LOUD. I believe it depends on which rooms you stay in. We were by the hot tub and bar area. I would NEVER stay in that area again. The music quiets around 11pm but doesnt really turn way down until after 1am. Then partiers are at the tub by 6am with happy hour starting at 7am. The music may be down but the loud talking echoes through the area. I walked around one night checking out other areas and they weren't nearly as loud. If you decide to stay here make sure you either want noise or specifically where the room is located. The room itself was about what you'd expect for the money. Nothing fancy but clean. Fridge in the room no micro. The place wasn't bad though, (certainly not great but you must consider what you're paying) and if I were in Fort L. again I would consider it but ONLY if I were able to pick the room.

Hotel is older, but has a great tiki bar and good scene. Rooms are older, but fine for a night or two, especially if there for some partying.

We go back here over and over. As a corporate traveler, I know 5 stars, and this isnt it. But... it is clean, neat, fun and the perfect spot in Ft Lauderdale for a fun long weekend in the sun. Right across from the beach, with its own pool and two pool bars, large hot tub, you cant beat it. The price is amazing. The people are even friendlier.. Mark at the front desk, Steve in the (well stocked) store, and the bartenders and cleaning staff.. Dont look for the ritz but if you want to be right on the water, have great food, fun people, good libations and convenient to everything here it is!!!

This hotel was just what a budget minded traveller needs. It's a great location, just across from the beach and has the inner harbor for a back drop. The hotel is a bit out-dated in style, but the rooms are spacious and all you need to get a good night's rest. The restaurant on the premisis was great. Seating is outside with a great view of the harbor. The food was very tasty and the service staff was wonderful. I would highly reccommend this spot when in the Ft Lauderdale area. The poolside bar and outdoor restaurant were filled with people having a great time and several locals stopped by on their boats. They have a dockside attendant who will assist with docking at their establishment. The location was perfect for us beach lovers. It was right across the street from the public beach access. The neighborhood is very nice. We felt comfortable just walking around.

I love this place and stay here everytime I'm in Ft.Lauderdale. If you're looking for an upbeat but casual beach vibe without spending all the $$$, this is the place! They have live music outside several nights a week and you can dock your boat right at the cabana. And of course the beach is right across the street. It's a fun place to stay!

the great location is the great thing here hotel is old and beat from old spring break days ,lots of partying here still lots of fun and cheap but i go every summer to be part of the history of this great city
